Andrew (6/5): - I paid for a deluxe room, got to the room and the bathroom was a mess due to faulty plumbing from the sink and toilet seat was also broken. Someone was called to fix the problem but only made it worse. Intead of being moved to a similar room i paid for, i was moved to an inferior room with the promise it would be changed the morning after but no one did anything until i had to check out. I have stayed here in the past but my recent experience was an unpleasant one to say the least. Overall, the maintainance of this property is on the decline and whoever is in charge of supervising the general management has to be more demanding.

Stellar customer service from everyone at the facility. Restaurant is open 24/7 and has a diverse menu. Close to the airport; although I was not impressed by the surrounding neighborhood. Overall, great spot for a couple of nights.

Ozavize (2/5): - This is by far the worse hotel I have ever stayed in, the managers appeared clueless. The toilets would not flush even after changing rooms, this was after I had complained multiple times to different managers per shift. The WiFi was so bad, I had to source other options which cost me so much more money than I had budgeted. The breakfast options were so poor and the hospitality of the staff was absolutely appalling. They seem to excel at tendering apologies but no action raised or escalated to satisfy customer needs. My holiday was so horrible because this hotel was so bad, the rooms were poorly maintained and falling apart. I will advise this hotel be scrapped out from Expedia platform and quite frankly give me some type of compensation because I feel scammed out of my money. Never ever again! I paid for an executive room and could not get my toilet to flush, always had to ring house keeping, changed my room and had the same problem, towards my last days they finally decided to get a plumber to fix the toilet, this made another huge mess to the toilet and I had to wait hours for house keeping to clean the mess, I had an IT guy come up to my room to try and fix my WiFi and TV, the TV in the room was so bad, this was after multiple complaints and finally telling them I would report this on Expedia. I cried, I felt so defeated. I am leaving this review so no other person experiences this at all! The Sojourner by Genesis is such an hell hole.

Olufunmilayo (8/5): - The staff were friendly and most were quite attentive and willing to help. The food was good. The rooms were clean and the beds (including pillows) were very comfortable but I had problems with the shower room. The shower cubicle itself was cleaned daily to a fairly good standard, but the walls of the shower room itself had stains on them, with cobwebs and dark smudges up in the corners close to the ceiling. The extractor fan did not work throughout my stay (and was not fixed despite being reported as faulty and being promised that it would be looked at) leaving me with no choice but to leave the window open.

Only observation I have after staying on more than one occasion is some rooms are better than others in the same category (some look fresh and appear refurbished while other are some what tired looking etc). While this hotel "looks" like a 4-star on paper, in reality it is already badly dilapidated, with peeling wallpaper, broken furniture, warped and otherwise damages floors, poor restaurant. For the price stay at the much nicer Shoregate (still with some problems). Do not think you are finding a comparable to the Marriott or Radisson 4*s. At a 2*+/3* price this would be fine.

Cons: It was quite inconvenient that the telephones were not capable of dialing outside of the building! The late night wait staff in the kitchen were unresponsive, abrasive, and mildly extortive. Do not use the Elevator: its power went out while my friends were in it and they had to pry the doors open!
