- Deb and Rob (7/5): - Good location, helpful staff, comfortable large room. Met our needs
- Linda (8/5): -
- Dave (7/5): -
- Veronica (8/5): - Front desk guy is always happy, helpful and personable
- Wilson (8/5): -
- John (5/5): -
- Joanne (5/5): Adequate. - Location was good. Fridge and microwave. Decor: faded pictures, old sad toss cushions (better to just ditch them!) Dreary. Lighter drapes would help. Asked for non-smoking but room had strong tobacco smell.
- helen (6/5): -
- Guest (8/5): The retro hotel sign is what to expect inside! - It was actually better than expected.
Staff were really nice.
Room was super clean, but dated...if you think of it as vintage decor, it makes it better!
Best part was that there was free microwave popcorn included, which came in handy after the concert we were in town for!
- Tim (9/5): -
- Diane (10/5): - Location, price and friendly owners no wifi
- Roy (7/5): - Location is great, quiet part of town. No luck getting an upgraded room, no coffee, except for some instant, no thank you.
- Alexander (7/5): - Ciozy comfortable room
Quiet
Location Could get hot water in shower, but ok in sink. Didn't realize it until the morning. OK in my previous stay.
- Debbie (8/5): - It was clean I think they could invest in new towels and face clothes and shampoo/conditioner.
- St-Jules (7/5): -
- Bennett (8/5): - Quiet location, adequate room, good bed, hot water, never heard anything next door.. Good value for the money
- Joanne (6/5): - Warm. Clean room.
Small coffee maker. (Fresh condimenrs for coffee would have been appreciated
)
Free popcorn was a really nice touch!
Basic room for Basic needs. Fridge. Microwave.
Room was very clean. Extra towels and blanket provided as requested (upon check in)
Was not informed at time of booking of the $40!? Upcharge to use the jet/jacuzzi tub in the room.
Was disappointed to learn this after check in and discovery of the tub in the room...
Friendly and accomodating staff/owners.
- Bilge (1/5): Can't describe how bad it was - The rooms haven't been cleaned for years. Nothing to like. It is a serious health issue to spend time in that place. Immediately after entering the room we felt like we couldn't breathe inside. Although it is a no smoking room, it was smoked.
We changed the first room to expect another room would be better but it wasn't. AC was with an inch of dust in front. Windows were not closing. Carpet was disgusting.
The only good thing I would mention is the lady at the front office provided a full refund.
- Peeters (6/5): -
- Dianne (8/5): Great place to stay and great value for your money. - It was close to Casino Rama and in a quiet location. It looked a bit run down on the outside.
- Asya (3/5): If you budget allow find another motel. - If you stay for one night only and your budget is on the tough side, then maybe. If not I wouldn't recommend. The room was with old dirty stains on the walls. Everything is extremely outdated.
- Christy. (8/5): - Everything was good, no problems with the stay.
- Josi (7/5): -
- Catherine (10/5): Wonderful time - Everything was beautiful We had a great time
- Christopher (10/5): - Great little unpretentious place to stay. Clean, comfortable bed, A/C a little noisy but worked well in super heat. Convenient for downtown Orillia, and quiet neighbourhood.
- Ryleigh (6/5): - bed was super comfortable but the room was a little dirty
- Wayne (10/5): - Excellent customer service. Clean. Quiet.
- David (10/5): - Pretty good value and decent location.
- Chr (3/5): -
- Garrett (9/5): - Beds were great location great price a bit high but will return.
- Autumn (6/5): Unsatisfied customer - There was a misunderstanding right off the bat! I thought I paid on line but was told I had to pay upon arrival…. The room had a bad odour… the bathroom baseboards were very dirty… the towels were gray…. There was cobwebs all over…. Including the lamp beside the bed….. y
- Margery (6/5): Convenient, comfortable, adequate. - The location was perfect. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. For a 2 star hotel, it met our expectations. The bed was comfortable and that was a priority for us. Cleanliness could have been better.
- Catherine (8/5): - Close to Casino Rama.
- Joseph (7/5): Good -
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional -
- Geoff (10/5): - The check in was easy the proprietor was super friendly. A good value room. Was clean, basic but that's what I wanted.
- Cathay (8/5): Clean and affordable - It was quiet and comfortable Lady at tint desk was awesome
- josie (8/5): - the room was a good size and clean..the outlets didnt really allow for us to plug in as they werent tight enough to hold the plug..one of the beds sagged on one side..checkin was very good and fast..the area was good so we would prbably stay here again..everything else was good
- Michael (8/5): - Very good clean
- Claudia (8/5): - It met all my needs
- Bradley (6/5): The good was good the rest disappointing. - Last minute booking and got it based on a low price. The bed was clean and comfortable and the room amenities are basic. The negatives are the heating and air conditioning the on/off button was non-existent and touchy.
The light from outside is a little bright so the curtains could be thicker.
The bathtub had a whirlpool tub but I couldn’t use it because the plug didn’t really stop the water and the faucet only turned a quarter way to the right increasing the flow of the cold water; cold water only.
So hard to give it a great review when you can not take even a warm shower let alone a hot bath. Which is too bad because the night attendant was REALLY friendly.
- Romanow (5/5): Disappointing stay and equally disappointing reception desk service. - Not having to stay 2 nights The room smelled strongly of chemicals used to eliminate smoke smell
Did not accept AMEX
Manager refused to split bill so we had to pay total on one person's card (no other inn refused us this small request on our trip)
- Deborah (8/5): Good for a stopover - The room was clean and quiet. Dated but workable. Good if you need a sleepover whole travelling.
- Howard (4/5): Couple get away. - It was terrible, no water pressure, jacuzzi didnt work. Had to wait forever to get hot water bathtub tap was backwards!!. Room smelt of mold and mildew, however the bed was comfortable. I would not recommend to family or friends.
- William G Turner (8/5): - Nice comfortable accommodation however TV reception was not the greatest & the hot water what was not as hot as it should had been.
- kevin (4/5): - Unfortunately our show at rama was cxld due to ice storm causing power outage in whole town.
We left and went home so did not stay.
We have however rebooked for May long wkd when show has been rescheduled
- Catherine louise (4/5): - The bathtub did not drain. We could not turn on our tv.
- Mitchell (2/5): Not Recommended - The lady who checked me in was nice. The price was way to high for what they provided. The TV had 1 channel and was not much larger than a laptop. There was a dirty towel in the tub. There was used soap on the sink. The beds were uncomfortable and the old carpet was kind of gross. The place is worth around $50/night.
- Bob (5/5): Passable -
- Debbie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (2/5): - Old and outdated , silver glitter paint in a pattern somewhat on the ceiling. The bed frame looks homemade missing pcs Little to no hot water. A smell of old and musty . The head board was covered in tile that was the same as around the jet tub. Will not stay there again. Over priced for what u get .
- John (10/5): - Easy check in, friendly staff
- Joan (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (6/5): - The place was old and run down.
There was baseboard heating but I do not think they worked. Low water pressure, No free breakfast.
It was an old Motel / Inn that needs some work.
The front desk person was very nice and helpful.
- Don (8/5): Very good - Nice , clean and friendly Lol.. the weather, heavy snow
- Laurie (8/5): I only stayed to sleep and then got a shower and checked out. It was fine - na na
- Samantha (8/5): It was comfortable and affordable! Would stay again! - Beds were comfy, location was convenient! Decaffeinated instant coffee

- Denis (7/5): Good -
- Smith (7/5): Good - The room was clean and comfortable.
- Joan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Travis (7/5): Good - The tub and shower in the room beside the bed. Mattress and pillows were too firm.
- Andre (8/5): - considering the cost, it was good value for a short stay. Good selection of cable channels which my young kid liked. They left a popcorn bag which was a nice touch. Wifi solid.
Decor dated and window mounted AC a bit loud.
Easy, clean, no fuss stay, parking at door. No complaints.
- Christina (7/5): We felt safe and clean! - Nice and close to all attractions. Outdated
- Derek (5/5): Passable -
- Matthew (10/5): The hidden jewel of Orillia - Just nice homey feeling!

- Cheryl (8/5): Good place to stay - Clean, comfortable, quiet, central location.
- Kim (9/5): Nice pkace - Was happy with how clean the place was. Will recommend. Nothing
- Mason (9/5): Superb -
- Therrien (2/5): Well paid $180 for a day relaxation in a jacuzzi and turned out couldn’t even have a shower due to lack of hot water - Well location was good already knew what kind of accommodation i would get to but the whirlpool was the prime reason for choosing this motel and no hot water ruined the whole stay
- Patricia (9/5): Superb - Nice and clean but could use a little updating. Staff at front desk was very helpful and pleasant.
- Janice (8/5): - I was i town to spend the weekend at a friend's cottage but there were not enough beds to go around. My bed was comfortable and I slept like a baby. The price was right for only spendimg about 7-8 hours in the room
- Wilde (7/5): Good - Friendly staff, easy check in Price was not what I thought I confirmed on line
- Mahesh (8/5): Very good - No food provided
- Alain (7/5): Good - Comfortable bed.
- Susan (10/5): Good value, reasonable price. - Older style motel. Seemed very clean, comfortable beds, room had a fridge/freezer. There was chair by the door to sit outside.
- Tash-Lynn (4/5): - The room itself was gross. The sheets were stained, they're was like up dust and hair on the remote and phone, the towels were and off white, the keys in the jacuzzi were black.
The only upside of the room was that the bed was very comfortable.
- Christa (3/5): Poor - Room was musty smelling. Mattresses not comfortable. Mat is bathtub was black mouldy coulour.
