- Eliza (3/5): Did not meet expectations from reviews - Nice big yard for the dog and very dog friendly. Comfy bedding. Location ok although a longer walk to the pyramids’ gate than google suggests. Good parking. Hosts not friendly - felt like I was imposing by staying there. Room not cleaned by approved check in time. No heating in room, and there was frost on my car in the morning. No hand soap or shampoo in the bathroom. Everything closed: restaurant, shop, temazcal. The whole place felt like the owners wanted to be on vacation that day and were opening begrudgingly.
- Marjorie (9/5): The staff was amazing and helpful. - That it was near the Hot Air Balloon site and was fairly inexpensive. Isolated, no late night restaurants to frequent.
- Ilya (10/5): An Unforgettable Stay – Perfection in Every Detail! - My stay at Hotel y Temazcal I Teotihuacan was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment I arrived, the warm and welcoming hospitality of the host, Jose, set the tone for an unforgettable experience.
The property is beautifully maintained, with a peaceful atmosphere that perfectly complements the rich history of the surrounding area. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and tastefully decorated—every detail designed to make guests feel at home.
The in-house temazcal experience is a must-try! It’s a unique cultural and therapeutic ritual that added so much depth to my visit.
The location is ideal, just a short distance from the Teotihuacan pyramids. Plus, the local food scene nearby is phenomenal. The tacos, sopas, and other delights within walking distance are an absolute treat!
I can’t recommend this hotel enough. If you’re visiting Teotihuacan, staying here is an experience in itself—Jose and his team truly make it special. Thank you for such a memorable stay! There was nothing to dislike—everything was absolutely perfect! From the warm hospitality to the beautiful surroundings, every detail exceeded my expectations. Truly an incredible experience!
- Brooks (8/5): A lovely little venue. We would stay here again. - The staff were wonderful. Really helpful.
- Dulce (9/5): Superb - Location and staff was excellent. There was no hot water in our room.
- Marco (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claudio (10/5): Lovely facility ! - It's very close to the pyramids.
It's worth it No breakfast included
- Richard (9/5): I had an excellent stay!! Will most definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. - It is very quiet and comfortable. Staff is very effective, helpful and friendly. Even did a few arrands for me. Has a large grassy patio surrounded by lots of trees. Very close to the "Aztec" pyramids in Teotihaucan and to many good restaurant. Also its location is safe and not noisy. No on-site restaurant, but they do have a large dining room in which to eat delivered meals. That's about my only real complaint. Also, there are no out-call room phones, nor is there one in the lobby.
- Jessica (9/5): Quiet - Clean room, kind and helpful staff
- Triana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarahanne (10/5): Very friendly staff. Beautiful grounds. Great location, very close to the pyramids, you can see the pyramids from the gr - Very friendly staff. Beautiful grounds. Great location. Lots of mosquitos. Weak wifi
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional - THE STAFF WERE AMAZING... THEY DID EVERYTHING TO MAKE OUR STAY A PLEASANT ONE... ABOVE AND BEYOND.
- Glenn (10/5): Truly a home away from home. - This place was truly a gem. The people were fantastic and the property was lovely. The location could not be better. I hope to return here again and again.
- Krzysztof (7/5): Good -
- Lorna (7/5): Good - We loved the location. It was beautiful and so close to the ruins. In the morning it was peaceful and you could watch the hot air balloons. We would stay again for sure. The only issue was that our room had almost non existent water pressure. If you stay just don't have room 8 for the shower and you will love it.
- Etienne-vivek (10/5): Exceptional - everything, the personnal was great, the space is hue, you can go to Las pirmideas by walk...But it is too comfortable so you want to stay in bed...
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The property was quite nice and the man working in the morning was wonderful but that’s about it. When we arrived they didn’t have our reservation and because our Spanish isn’t great they were frustrated that we didn’t unthat they were full. I understood but had made a reservation and wanted some kind of alternative. We were finally checked into their sister hostel at the same price as the hotel. Beds uncomfortable, rooms cold, very noisy and bright. Do not recommend for the price, location or accommodations.
- Disappointed (4/5): - The staff is great but the place is located in a bad neighborhood, the room don’t have heater if you staying in the winter time like I did and it was so bad I didn’t get any sleep because of the cold and noise around it and bad bed...
- Carlos (8/5): Great place, do recommend - The place is just what you need, perfect location and great service. Breakfast is disappointing.
- Michael (10/5): Felt like family - Was here for a music festival. Everything we wanted to do including the Pyramid of the Sun and Moon was within walking distance of the hotel. Elizabeth, Pepe, Suzy and everyone else were wonderful. I felt like family from the moment we arrived. We don't speak much Spanish but with my translation app, we got by. I got very sick my last night there and Elizabeth had a doctor in my room to help me within 15 minutes. The doctor was wonderful and I was feeling better within the hour. I highly recommend this place.
- Gisela (10/5): TEOTIHUACAN - EL TELPOCHCALLI HOTEL & TEMAZCAL ES UNA EXCELENTE OPCION PARA HOSPEDARSE MUY CERCA DE LA ZONA ARQUEOLOGICA, TAMBIEN A POCA DISTACIA DEL ZOOLOGICO REINO ANIMAL Y CON BUENOS ACCESOS A LAS VIAS QUE COMUNICAN A LOS PUEBLOS MAGICOS DE SAN JUAN TEOTIHUACAN Y SAN MARTIN DE LAS PIRAMIDES, ASI QUE DESDE SU UBICACION SE VISITAN LOS PRINCIPALES PUNTOS DE INTERES DE LA ZONA.
EL PERSONAL DEL HOTEL ES MUY EDUCADO Y AMABLE Y SE INTERESAN PORQUE LA ESTANCIA SEA LO MEJOR POSIBLE, ATENDIENTO TODAS LAS NECESIDADS QUE SE INCLUYEN EN EL PAQUETE E INCLUSO OFRECIENDOSE A MEJORAR CONDICIONES SI ESTA EN SUS POSIBILIDADES. SE AGRADECE RECIBIR UN TRATO TAN CORDIAL.
SE RESPONDIERON TODAS NUESTRAS PREGUNTAS DESDE ANTES DE LLEGAR Y LO QUE NECESITABAMOS SABER SE NOS ORIENTABA DE MANERA CLARA Y SENCILLA.
EL AMBIENTE ES 100% FAMILIAR, ZONA DE CAMPO MUY TRANQUILA Y BELLA.
CERCA DEL HOTEL HAY TIENDITAS PARA COMPRAR LO NECESARIO Y EN LAS VIAS CERCANAS HAY OXXOS EN GASOLINERAS QUE SON LUGARES SEGUROS.
LA LIMPIEZA DE LAS HABITACIONES ES MUY BUENA Y LAS INSTALACIONES SE MANTIENEN ADECUADAMENTE
EL DESAYUNO CONTINENTAL SE SIRVE TEMPRANO, LO CUAL ES LO ADECUADO PARA QUIEN VISITA LA ZONA PARA APROVECHAR EL DIA DE MEJOR MANERA. SE AGRADECE DESAYUNAR SANO Y ADEDUADO PARA PODER SUBIR PIRAMIDES Y CAMINAR SINTIENDOSE LIGEROS.
EL HOTEL TIENE ESTACIONAMIENTO PRIVADO BASTANTE AMPLIO CON LUGAR AL FRENTE DE CADA HABITACION, LO CUAL ES MUY COMODO Y FACILITA LA BAJADA DE EQUIPAJE UNO MISMO. MUY RECOMENDABLE HOTEL EN TEOTIHUACAN.
- Verified traveler (10/5): We stayed 4 nights w/ a 1.5yr old & felt li family - The day manager was a very sweet and accommodating lady. Who did her best to communicate with us though we lack spanish language skills.
The night manager Carlos is an amazing human with some english language skills. When our daughter reacted poorly to the milk in Mexico, because she had only had almond milk previously, he offered his own almond milk and when we needed more he drove us to get it. The only store that carried it was a 10 minute drive. He refused payment for the ride.
In a town where we were the only white we felt like family.
No pressure, relaxed, safe town. Close to pyramids(10 minutes on cobble stone roads), with a view of them from the large grassy field. Our toddler really enjoyed playing in the field. We are excited to stay there again next year!
- Trinidad (10/5): Genial!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean & Quaint - Hotel Telpochcalli was exactly what my friends and I needed. There were 3 of us traveling together so we got a room with 2 big beds and a private bath. The room and bathroom were very clean. The only complaint about the room is that the pillows weren't very comfortable, but I've come to expect this from places in this price range in Mexico. The people working at the hotel were nice and accommodating, however the complimentary breakfast leaves much to be desired. A big advantage is the close proximity to the pyramids which is why we stayed there in the first place. It's a nice 15-20 minute walk from the main entrance. All things considered, I would definitely go back and stay there again.
- Jo (10/5): A welcoming family run business - Wonderful. I always stay here and love it.
- Jo (10/5): Great value, so friendly - Love this place, so friendly and helpful. Beautiful green space around the hotel and very convenient to the pyramids. Would definitely stay here again, great value.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Ten minutes walk to Puerto uno - Very friendly staff. Clean room and bathroom. Good breakfast. Terrace from which you can see, with some effort, the pyramid of the sun. Only ten minuten walk to gate 1.
Mexican restaurant near the hotel. Wifi didn't work.
