• David (9/5): It was excellent. - Light airy, clean modern , everything serviceable and fairly new. A tea pot that actually pores properly. Great shower Being very picky!…, The tv sound was awful. The wedgewood dinner plates were fab but didn’t fit in the dishwasher bcz the upper tray was incorrectly fitted. The bedroom wardrobe doors were too wide for the aperture which made access to the clothes inside slightly more difficult. These are very picky design faults that you wouldn’t pick up without staying, so don’t blame the maintenance / cleaners

• A2111UJelizabethm (6/5): A 5 night stay May 2026 Braid apartment - When I arrived I was unable to open the door and rang the emergency number 3 times getting no reply. This was within the time frame given. Eventually another person arrived and managed to open the door by pulling it forwards then pushing it. The door was misaligned. If these instructions were given it would have helped! This was reported to the receptionist the next morning and she apologised saying they should have phoned back. The apartment was lacking in hooks and space for big cases. The clock in the lounge was stuck at 9 o’clock. The batteries needed changing in the remote in the bedroom to make the tv work. It would have been useful to have a guide including local restaurant recommendations. A drop off spot was not available and parking was £9.30 for 1 hour. However we enjoyed our stay in Edinburgh. The bed was comfortable and there were instructions for the appliances. The complimentary breakfast and milk was appreciated thank you.

• Jill (3/5): No desk, no aesthetic, no one on site - If you need a large apartment with a kitchen and laundry, then this is probably a good deal. The location is good for walking or taking transit to wherever you'd like to go and there are very good restaurants one block over for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It was clean and everything worked well. The place really feels like a venture capital cash grab disguised as a "boutique." There is no one on site. Someone shows up for like one hour a day to sit at the desk, but otherwise you're on your own. The exterior of the building is gorgeous but the inside is dated and depressing and my room was dark and didn't look anything like the photos. I felt like I was staying in sponsored housing for cancer patients. As much as possible I tried to avoid being in the apartment, just wandering aimlessly bc it was such a bummer to be there. Most importantly, I had booked based on the photos bc I needed a desk where I could work for 5 days. I put this in the reservation. When I arrived, my room had only a small makeup table with an ottoman in front for a chair, all shoved into a corner. It wouldn't fit a laptop and nevermind that I can't sit on a pouf for 8 hours a day. I ended up working from bed; it was miserable. Lastly, I messaged the hotel (bc of course there was no one there to talk to) about a late checkout for one measly hour and they said "We can't guarantee anything" and closed the request. What does that mean? Can I checkout late or not? I ended up just using the default checkout time and wandering around the airport for a while. Just a miserable experience. It really soured my experience of the city. I would definitely come back to Edinburgh but never stay at a Mansley hotel again.

Ideal location.Close to all tourist attractions by easy walk as well as restaurants and pubs.Tram and bus stops are not a far distance away. Staff are helpful and quick to respond to questions or concerns. Daily housecleaning, if need, which is nice. I would recommend Braid Apartments by Mansley as a location to stay in Edinburgh. 4.5/5

Buena ubicación, - Apartamento amplio, cómodo y muy funcional, ideal para descansar después de recorrer la ciudad. La limpieza fue excelente y el check-in muy fácil. Además, el personal fue muy amable. La ubicación es buena, a unos 15 minutos caminando de la Royal Mile, y con muchos servicios en la zona (supermercados, cafés, etc.). Sin dudas, una muy buena opción para alojarse en Edimburgo Como punto a considerar, hay escaleras, aunque entendemos que es algo bastante habitual en este tipo de construcciones en la ciudad.

• David (8/5): A good base for a sociable stay when we were meeting different friends every day. - The apartment had the facilities and amount of space that we wanted. The staff were friendly and helpful, for example in getting us taxis. Access through the door code was convenient and avoided the possibility of forgetting a key. The location was within walking distance of the station and in a central area that is very familiar to us. The apartment was not always as warm as we would have liked. The curtain rail collapsed and dumped the curtain on the floor. This was refitted reasonably quickly but was quite inconvenient for a while.

Out of the different places we stayed during our travels across Europe, this was by far my favorite. The washer/dryer took longer than expected but it still worked fine. We just needed to change our plans slightly.

Disponeva solo di un tavolino da salotto basso e non proprio adeguato per consumare un pasto. Il letto non era molto comodo per i miei gusti

• Nuala (10/5): Fabulous stay! - Excellent location, fabulous property, everything we needed for a perfect family stay! Milk in the fridge & tea, coffee etc there on arrival. Digital access to the property and our apartment which was very spacious. Someone on reception during the day… felt very safe. We checked out at 11am and they kept our luggage with no charge until later in the afternoon. Would definitely stay again!

Good location, we walked everywhere from there; everything was clean, and it’s awesome to have space for a breakfast at home one or two days, or have more space. Toilet was also pretty clean. Only thing I could complain was the bed, as it had indentation on the right side. Nevertheless, we could sleep.

A very good central and quiet location in the city with very helpful staff when leaving luggage on arrival/departure Excellent welcome pack and a fine choice of various teas. Will stay again on return to Edinburgh in the future

• melissacO9129LF (4/5): Poor Stay & Construction Disturbance - Would not recommend. We stayed for two nights and that was more than enough. The location is great, however the room was dirty with hair on the sheets, red marks on the bathroom floor and not up to cleanliness standards - really unsure how the reviews are previously so good. On top of that the room was boiling and we couldn’t get the main AC unit to turn down. The one unit above the bed we wanted to use but could see black mould lining the inside of the unit, so didn’t not turn that on. We then had to open the windows and there was construction work being done and definitely not close to being finished, so heavy machinery noise from 7:00AM. And no one on reception half the time, so couldn’t even ask for support/room change. Overall a disappointing stay.

• Fabian (1/5): Good location, everything else pretty bad and mold in the room. - The property is located very centrally. There was hair all over the apartment, including the bed. Generally, cleanliness was very poor - and there was even mold in the A/C // Heating. The windows are very old / poorly insulated, meaning that there was a very loud draft throughout the night making it impossible to sleep (in all fairness, it was exceptionally windy during the stay). Construction is also ongoing right next to the apartment, meaning that intense construction sounds start at around 7:30-8:00.

• Karin Bots (9/5): - De locatie was perfect voor ons en elke dag werdt de thee en koffie aangevuld. De cafetierre miste bij ons en na melding stond hij er 's middags. De glasbakken en andere vuil is wordt geleegd elke dag rond 5.15 uur. Maar dat hoorden we op het laatst ook niet meer. Werklui zijn aan de achterkant van de straat aan het bouwen.

• Hannah (10/5): Super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis - Es waren alle sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, die Lage war super, es war sehr sauber und die Ausstattung war toll. Es gab sogar Kaffee und Tee. Sowohl Sofa als auch Bett waren für unseren Geschmack ein wenig zu weich.

• Susan (8/5): Great location, meet expectations and as billed in the information, would use again👍 - Good location, close to the main shopping facilities and bars-restaurants and attractions. Minor issue with a power failure but resolved after a phone call to the contact number.
• neiljI8632VZ (10/5): Well situated, clean and well equiped. Very good value. - Well situated in walking distance to Edinburgh Castle and other attractions. Accommodation was well equiped, clean and the staff very nice. We could store our luggage so could make the most of our first and last day. Very good value.
• John (10/5): Exceptional Apartment - The location, we never walked more than 15 minutes to anywhere. The facilities, even the pass code to the building and apartment was customised for you to remember. The reception staff were brilliant, YES staff ! They were friendly and helpful such as leaving your luggage after you checked out. Despite the old architecture on the outside, the inside was very modern, with contemporary decor and a lift to help with your luggage. I've trudged up the stairs to the top floor in other old buildings with heavy bags and it's no fun. No problem here though. From our (very) Spacious and well equipped apartment we had a grand view over the rooftops to the Firth of Forth. (The bus stop to Leith is only 100 mts away) I say fully equipped, you could live here a month and you would have all the facilities right down to a washer dryer! On day one there was a small issue in the bathroom but one word to reception and it was sorted whilst we were out. That's service. Having stayed in several apartments in Edinburgh I can categorically state that this was a cut above the rest. Hopefully it's available next time we visit. There was nothing not to like on our visit. I'm probably going to be outpriced on our next visit though.
• Keepitlive (10/5): Best Edinburgh apartment yet - A top class apartment in the centre of Edinburgh. From our top floor apartment we could see Leith and the Firth of Forth and found the whole experience 'top end. From the receptionist to the cleaners, all very friendly and helpful. We hope this building is available next time we visit Edinburgh.

Tea and coffee provided with complimentary pint of milk when we arrived. Accommodation was warm and comfortable. Good value for money. Nothing
• Amy (9/5): - Verder alles! Voor het inchecken en na het uitchecken wilden we onze baggage nog even achterlaten maar het was wat lastig om in contact te komen met het personeel en je kon ook niet op een willekeurige tijd langskomen want er is niet altijd iemand daar.
