Guest Reviews
- Postiaux (8/5): Très apaisant - La piscine, le lieu, le calme, les genre séparées, le grand lit La salle de bain était vieille et sale
- EssEff (10/5): Excellent service - The service was impeccable throughout (a special mention for Captain). The food was delicious and the accommodation was an oasis of calm. A great base from which to explore Hampi. Highly recommended.
- Shashi (10/5): - Hospitality was outstanding.
And everything else as well.
- Polly (8/5): Great swimming pool! - The main reason we stayed at the resort was that we visited Hampi in April and wanted a swimming pool to use for a couple of hours in the afternoon between touring the temples. From that perspective, the swimming pool is very nice and not crowded, set in a beautiful garden filled with exotic fruit trees. The water in the pool is also at a great temperature!
The rooms are very spacious, and the bed was very comfortable.
The chef was amazing and did everything he could to ensure that the buffet menu was served, regardless of the gas shortages at the hotel due to the Iran conflict. He also offered to make pasta for our daughter which was not on the menu.
The best part of the visit was having Manju (the tuk tuk driver) for 3 days showing us and touring the temples- he was recommended by the hotel and he was the best driver we ever had during our 3 week visit in India!
The manager and reception staff are very nice. The hotel is very overpriced but if you want a "nicer" resort with a swimming pool this is the only affordable option in the area. Rooms are a dated, especially the bathroom which needs renovation asap. Also, there are not enough plugs in the room, there is nowhere to put your toothbrush in the bathroom. The staff are friendly but training is needed as it seems there is a general issue of lack of co-ordination when you are asking for things and they are missing basic things eg. you are ordering drinks at the pool but no glasses are provided.
- malansg (7/5): All in All Good. But a little overpriced. - Resort has good green surroundings. Food was reasonably charged and of good quality. Rooms were spacious with decent minimalistic decor. Beds were comfortable. Clean water in the swimming pool. Due to current war crisis, they had limited menu in Restaurant. But they managed very well. Employing 80 percent of staff from local population is a very appreciable corporate policy. The place is within 15-20 minutes of points of interest in Hampi. We had booked 4 bunglows. And 3 had non functional AC. Seems, they're not regularly serviced. The resort appeared overpriced for the location and the facilities.
- I5483LZmichaelc (10/5): Stay Heritage Hampi with morning bird walk - We had such a good experience on the early morning bird walk along the canal and past the sugar cane fields. Chandra Shekar shared his deep knowledge of the natural environment. It was calm and peaceful and we saw so many birds. The highlight was seeing two Indian Rollers. Highly recommended.
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Great facilities and good food. Everyone was so friendly
- UJJWAL (8/5): - Lovely resort, well maintained premises Check in timings at 13.00 hrs means we had to pay for early check-in.
They didn't consider complimentary breakfast on that morning when we checked in.
- Diane (7/5): Pleasant grounds, friendly staff, room refurbishment needed - Pleasant grounds
Friendly staff
Good buffet food Air conditioning unit was ineffective
Room seemed a bit tired and could do with refurbishment

- Jagsagar (9/5): Nice - Well laid out, excellent location, did need to be refurbished… polite staff be very careful of scammers… I got cheated of Rs 12000/- which I paid to a ‘hotel’ account to reconfirm my booking… the reason for this is that Booking does mention that the hotel will contact you and may require a deposit to confirm your booking… after being scammed there were atleast 50 times I was approached to ‘reconfirm’ my reservation it’s very distressing but please don’t pay anyone a advance
- Katherine (10/5): Absolutely Wonderful place to stay close to Hampi Temples - Fabulous place, wonderful pool and garden, super comfy bed and room. The buffet breakfast and dinners were very good. The staff very helpful and organised.
- Shilpa (1/5): - Nothing great abt the place the location is good. The hotel staff are horrible people . Least bother abt the people who come to stay they didn't even welcome us properly . They don't allow outside food n there food taste is very bad. The price they charge they should give decent food. We reached hotel at 8 clock in the night. They didn't even give us 20mins extra time they started calling us at 11. The A.C wasn't working n it was too hot . I have never seen a worst maintained hotel. With cockroach n spiders . I will not recommend this place to anyone. Not worth single rs we spend.
- CL (10/5): -
- Dr Mrs Robin (7/5): Great property, lovely tours, cultural shows - The property was beautiful to walk around. Ask about the evening shows. They didn’t tell us another guest told us about them. The shower had the best water pressure and it was warm. The tour we were offered was wonderful! The servers in the restaurant were sweet. The front staff needs to learn the English language better. They talk over you instead of listening. The laundry, they shrunk my Kurta and trousers. They still charged us.
- Sarah (9/5): If you can spare the cost, this is a nice place to stay. - The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. The bed was very comfortable and the area was quiet and peaceful. The food is amazing and the pool was a relaxing way to end a day of sightseeing. Th e Wi-Fi signal was strong and consistent. I thought that although it was a lovely place, it was overpriced compared to other resorts in India.
- Escape33942966356 (10/5): Best experience - Ninganna, vishwa, ismail and legend maruti sirs are all receptive and good to welcome us with a welcome drink and we travelled for a week till Feb 6th.entire team .I should salute to Mrs Sathya Prasanna Kumar who is a south Indian hailing from chennai
the most intelligent, interesting, innovative, smart, active lady senior mgr having passion for us right from day 1 ie 3rd Feb till 6th feb serving with a smile, answering our queries.
- Ah Kam (1/5): Scammers hotel - The breakfast is average.
Location is not great because the road leading to it is very bad. Scam messages harassment regularly after the booking asking for personal information and payment.
After I have paid for the booking through Booking.com and received official receipt of payment I continued receiving emails from the hotel asking for payment.
On the day I arrived for check in the reception staff stated that I still have not paid and asked me to pay. After I showed them the official receipt they claimed that they had no record.
This is a scammer hotel.
- 211mayaf (10/5): Heritage was an excellent resort! - Heritage is an excellent resort! The staff, the food, the room and the grounds were all fantastic. Maruthi Prasad was very nice and helpful with arranging for transportation to sites in Hampi as well as Badami. The breakfast and dinner buffets were absolutely delicious with so many options. Channabasappa was friendly and helpful in making lunch selections on our final day. The room was spacious and very clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom very large. We cannot wait to stay here again!
- Dinesh (5/5): ..... - Manager is excellent.
Mr Chandrashekhar , naturalist is the best and your tru asset. Support him with very good bridge camera. Price is too High for the ambience. I don't feel its value money. I rate it 4 out of ten.
Cleanliness yes. Maintained well
- FarAway18512542490 (4/5): Avoid this hotel if they do not renovate /improve - Overpriced ,poorly maintained hotel needs extensive renovation;
1 Cistern not working . Water overflows .Water is wasted .
2 Seat Cover needs replacement
3 Electrical. switches are behind bed where senior citizenhasto go behind the bed to switch off
4 Very heavy bathroom doors
5 Poorly lit path to go to the room
6 Very heavy water bottle which can not be put in the mini fridge for cooling
7 Overpriced tariff . It should be Rs5500 plus GST
- Anuraag (9/5): - The greenry and pool The monkeys around the room
- DS (9/5): Good cosy hotel, friendly staff, good location. - Hotel was really nice. Felt more like a homestay. The staff were very good and helpful especially Manju.
Rooms were a good size and pool was really nice too.
Food in the restaurant was also really tasty.
The Ayurvedic spa treatments were also really nice. Not really a dislike but I thought the hotel was a bit expensive for what you get. However it look to be one of the best ones in the area. However many more good points as stated.
- Indira (9/5): -
- Federico (6/5): -
- Krittikaarora (10/5): Good resort! - Good resort, well located and great staff!
Overall the property was clean and looks beautiful with great haute culture.
The room was good and spacious. Bathroom was clean too and spacious.
- Venkatesh (9/5): -
- kids dent (6/5): - the restaurant staff were amazing and very accomodative the front desk were not receptive; they can be trained better. they need to be more pleasant
- Jo (8/5): Enjoyable and would recommend - Comfortable rooms , food excellent , pool lovely ,location for exploring great. Staff very thoughtful and helpful. Entertainment one of the evenings with dancer was very good.
- Rafikki (8/5): recommended for Hampi - excellent effort made for new year's eve celebrations
clean, relaxing, staff friendly pool a little cold but pleasant
- Culture46622832292 (10/5): Excellent Nature Walk - Chandrasekhar took us for a morning nature walk. We immediately connected with him on our common interests in nature, environment and society. He introduced us to many species of birds and local vegetation. We thoroughly enjoyed our walk with him.
- Vishwajit (9/5): -
- Isabelle (9/5): -
- ar2812 (10/5): Great Experience! - Amazing experience. Our guide Chandra Shekar we very knowledgeable and easy going.
One of the most memorable experience. Could spot multiple bears and birds.
- Flyer68680854009 (6/5): Average hotel stay - This is average hotel . Pros - rooms are spacious and clean, Cons - food is not so great, service is average. Overall doesnt justify the price points
- NorthStar59697952085 (10/5): Great stay and Nature walk at Hampi Heritage Resort - Excellent experience! I highly recommend the nature walk with Mr. Chandrashekhar from the hotel. Nature walk was a very interesting and educational experience.
- 472swamyn (6/5): Poor guest experience - It is an average resort. The staff are nice but not trained to provide great customer experience with a smile. The Management does not seem to be too interested in improving either. The facility does not justify the price. I reported an incorrect charge on my room for a small amount. They spent more time discussing and I left requesting a credit. Have not heard a word for more than 24 hours. The massage facility is not great but the therapists provided excellent massage and very gentle.
- Maor Vered (10/5): -
- Dayanand (9/5): Peaceful, refreshing, memorable stay. - Peaceful, quiet, well kept property. Away from the noisy roads, the property is a peace haven day or night. Good breakfast spread, excellent lunch / dinner options. Very responsive staff both at the reception and at the restaurant. Spacious rooms and a good games room. Wonderful pool. Enjoyed the landscaped greenery. Wifi in the room was patchy. Could have been stronger. The common toilet near the restaurant and the toilet near the pool needs better maintenance through the day as it gets used often by guests. We did not get proper hot water in the bathroom. Only on the last day of our three day stay did we get proper hot water.
- jameseI4403LC (10/5): Beautiful relaxing hotel - Beautiful place, they have everything just right for the tourist. Delicious food, effective and helpful staff, rightly proud of their work, garden, dance show etc. Followed reviews to book birdwatching with Mr Chandrashekar. Just walked out of hotel due to time constraints. Wonderful time, saw different kingfishers, bee eaters, eagle, wagtails etc. Mr C very knowledgeable and good company, even for beginners. Loved it. Thank you!
- Uday K (7/5): Very friendly staff and excellent food - Location is ideal and food was excellent. Very friendly staff Very pricey and not enough value for money.
- Climber312463 (10/5): Hire Benkal trip - Our excursion was to Hire Benkal. It was a wonderful trip. Chandra was very helpful & knowledgeable & made my birthday very memorable.
- Ankit (7/5): Good good but the rooms can be better. - Good good. But rooms aren't that maintained. The property is also old. Old rooms and not that well maintained.
- Rolf (8/5): - Schöner Swimmingpool
- Aakanksha (10/5): -
- singh (4/5): Decent facility but absolutely not worth the price. - Clean, comfortable room
Courteous, polite staff Received various spam messages on booking. It seems telephone number and email leaked.
Repeated messages stating booking will be cancelled although information at booking sated that payment was to be made at hotel. Was extremely stressful.
Information pre booking was minimal, re room size, facilities. More information only on booking.
Maintenance poor, safe unavailable at start, hair dryer did not work.
- Jayasimha N (7/5): -
- Lavanya (10/5): Perfect - They took care of me like I was at my home - Facilities were excellent! Service super. And every attention was paid to make the guest feel at home
- Premchand (8/5): -
- AlisonJ1430 (10/5): Well located comfortable hotel with beautiful pool & gardens - Stayed 4 nights - very well run hotel, efficient & friendly staff, everything works in the room (not always the case), great shower, hot water etc & very clean. Lovely gardens & beautiful pool - mostly empty by day as everyone is out looking at the ruins. Food exceptional - we chose not to eat the buffet & dinner was served promptly even though the dining room was busy. Booked a hotel transfer to/from Hubli airport - reasonable price - & special mention to Tuktuk Manju - the hotel’s own tuktuk driver who we employed for 3 days to take us to the ruins. We chose not to use a guide but Manju gave us enough information & left us to visit the sites alone, organised our visits & made sure we didn’t miss anything of importance. Note - rather than rushing through things we visited in 2/3 hour chunks, twice a day with downtime back at the pool in between times which worked well for us - 6 sessions in all. Would certainly recommend.
- Giuseppe Ruvutuso (7/5): A decent place to stay for a great place like Hampi archeological area. - The room was ok, the mattress probably needs a cover, not just a sheet on it. The restaurant food was great, breakfast was instead very poor, but acceptable for a 3 stars. Honestly the place would be a 3 star in Europe, but in Hampi probably is a 4 stars. The bathroom is kind of badly made. To some extend does not look clean, but acceptable.
- delpanne (9/5): - Très bel hôtel.
Merci a Ranuka et a son collègue pour le massage Chambre un peu sombre
- Jacob (9/5): - Food and service was too good. Staff were exceptional. Quality of the local dishes were very nice. I booked a room with a extra large bed. But we got a room with two single beds put together and it was highly uncomfortable and also the switches were behind the bed and not assessable . we really suffered for one night. However after complaining they chnaged the room for us.
- Nandkishor (7/5): Good - Landscape Beds are very bad
- Deepak (8/5): -
- Umesh (9/5): - Rich experience & luxury feeling. Little costly
- R M (8/5): -
- KehrenEade (6/5): Mediocre hotel stay - Restaurant staff/service excellent but reception was bad. Rooms cleaned well but furnishings were outdated. No shampoo/conditioner. HHR seemed intent for guests to know what we ‘COULD NOT’ do rather than what we could do. Signs everywhere regarding what is NOT allowed, but not what is allowed. Quite oppressive.
- Sugata (5/5): Nice green campus with lots of trees. Shabby rooms in need of renovation. - Large number of trees in the campus makes it very green and nice. The cottages are spaced out for privacy. The staff is courteous, though not very well trained. Rooms are shabby. They are badly in need of renovation and maintenance. Beds are not of good quality.
Interior paths are not well maintained.
- Roshan (9/5): Great place but a bit pricey - Dinner was excellent. Diner staff were very courteous Cost was higher than expected
- kasturi (8/5): - Location is great, the food in the restaurant is very good, and the staff are helpful and approachable.
Its a nice resort. It does need a bit of upkeep and maintenance. Its value for money so I think overall a good option for families.
- Zeinab (8/5): - The location is good, not far from the sights. This was the main priority for us, we didn't want to spend hours in the car once we arrived.
Room size was big, pool area is very nice. There is also a games room set up with chess, carrom, pool and table tennis. Each room had a fridge with good value mini bar and snacks. Free water. The hotel was a little tired and basic. The food was ok.
- 765nikhilp (10/5): Good hotel, worth visiting. - It's a good property, typical of a small city.
98% of staff employed are locals and tribals who are super caring and genuine.
Rooms are spacious and inside of the room gives the feeling of jungle lodge rooms (if you have stayed in one you will relate), lot of wood in the room, unlike modern hotels which have fancy lights and moderns furniture) . Rooms are well equipped with all amenities.
Location is 10-15 minutes away from most tourists spot so super convenient.
Local food dishes are excellent and so is breakfast with lot of variety.
Give it a try if you are looking for good hospitality, warm and welcoming staff, spacious room and good food.
- Eric (9/5): - Great location (close to Hampi archaeological sites), quiet, great service, excellent food, pretty grounds. Rooms are a bit tired...need some renovation.
- Jayasimha N (7/5): -
- Yaron (9/5): -
- ckandras (10/5): Wildlife activities - Heritage Resort offers an exceptional family experience with their in-house naturalist leading exciting wildlife activities such as bird watching, hiking, bear safaris, and nature walks. This hotel is the perfect destination for families looking to immerse themselves in nature while enjoying quality time together.
- traveler1201071 (10/5): the best choice - This is one of the best hotels in Hampi. The room is cozy, the swimming pool is wonderful, and the restaurant serves many varieties of food. The staffs are all nice and treated the guests like a family.
- Dreamer33493729979 (10/5): Must see nature walk at Heritage Hampi - The Naturalist was very knowledgeable and answered all the questions that the kids had. He did not rush through the experience and paused in many places adjusting to our group's needs and interests. What I loved most was that when he did not know about a plant, he didn't just make up something but told us so and took pictures to research later. This built a lot of trust with the kids. Chandrashekhar was transparent, honest and a trove of information about birds, plants, herbs and much more.
- UKDavy7 (10/5): Pleasant hotel and well situated for exploring Hampi - I stayed two nights at this pleasant comfortable hotel. My room was a good size with an outside seating area. The breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets were good when offered and were good value. Staff were very friendly and anxious to help. As I was leaving on an overnight train I asked for a late check out; the hotel agreed and promised me a special price which turned out to be half the daily cost (which I thought was a bit expensive) and they asked for a tip for getting me such a good price. I was pleased to be able to keep the room until my departure just before 8pm. The hotel is well situated for exploring the many sights in Hampi and I am happy to recommend it.
- Paradise03441609817 (10/5): Worthwhile - We were looking into a trip to Hampi and this was definitely the right choice. Great location, service and food. Mr. Chandra Shekhar, the resident naturalist showed us a great time in sighting bears at the sanctuary
- tathgupta (10/5): Great stay, lovely staff and some good experiences - It’s an aesthetic and well-designed resort. We had a really comfortable 2-night stay here for our Hampi visit.
The array of food options and the quality of both breakfast and dinner is fantastic. And the staff is very polite and helpful.
We also went on a Bird Watching tour with Chandra Sekhar to a nearby canal and through farms. This was a fun and enriching experience and we were amazed to capture some stunningly beautiful birds. 10/10 recommended to do a wildlife exploration tour with CS while you’re staying here. It’ll enhance your Hampi experience.
- Mark (10/5): - Helpful staff, arranged auto-rickshaw for guided tour of Hampi. Stored our bags, towels for shower after check out. Fantastic pool for swimming after hot day marvelling at sites of historic Hampi
- renanap (10/5): A great place in a beautigul location - This report is a great place for exploring Hampi and its surroundings. It is located on the south bank, a few kilometers away from all the important sites (which is notable since many of the places in the north bank are quite far). It is a beautiful property, surrounded with orchards and trees that belong to the resort. The rooms are big and nicely designed. The swimming pool is great. The restaurant offers a nice buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner (we had breakfast and one dinner), and the team is super helpful and service oriented. Definetely the best place around, with very high standards.
- sharad666 (10/5): Pleasant Village type stay in a luxury style! - Dear Travellers !
This is truly a mix of luxury and value for money resort. Due to off season we were expecting better pricing but it was not costly for sure.
Location is good . They have ample space for parking around 20 + Cars . Good front desk and a beautiful swimming pool. We liked there Mango trees and stone covered romantic sitting space near pool.
Restaurent Kiskindha was really nice with attached Bar as well. Good tasty food however few more options can be added in food items.
Service was top notch and I really appreciate our conversation with Mr. Maruthi - front desk officer, Mr Prakash, Heena Kausar at restaurant, staffs like darshan ,Viresh and Ramesh helped us to show around the property. Missed to take few more names but all were good.
We had good and pleasant stay and would recommend you to visit as well.
Thanks and cheers !
- Tia (10/5): Terrific all around - Loved this place—great value. Really attractive property, lush with fruit trees, and a pool that actually was better than the pictures. Big and clean and invitingly swimmable. Rooms are comfy and clean. Restaurant terrific with big nice buffets. Friendly staff. Only 10 minutes to the ruins.
- 661rithikab (10/5): The Resort dining experience was truly delightful, with warm hospitality and deliciously tasty cuisine. - We had a fantastic dining experience at Heritage Resort Hampi! The food was exceptional, with outstanding quality and taste. The staff were very courteous, making us feel comfortable and confident dining with our kids. Special thanks to Hunnur and the team for their excellent service and hospitality - always ready to serve and help!
- stefanaL4102YG (10/5): Alround great experience - Our Stay ar Heritage Resort Hampi was a wonderful experience. The hospitality of the staff was outstanding. The front desk was very helpful. They arranged a day-tour with an approved guide in the historical sites of Hampi for us.
Kiran Kumar provided us with great service during lunch an dinner.
Would recommend!
- tatzsophia (10/5): Worth doing!!! - The naturalist was incredibly knowledgeable. He adjusted his pace to our needs and helped us on the rocky steps (2 in our group have bad knees). It was a very pleasant three hours. We saw many birds and historical buildings. The sunrise was worth getting up so early in the morning.
- 594leelas (10/5): Memorable Stay at Heritage Resort Hampi - We travelled to Hampi from Goa. The Heritage Resort is easily approachable from there. Highway is under construction so one has to add some hours to travel. Hampi resorts is located ideally near the visiting site.
We enjoyed Hampi ancient places, temples and the empire of Krishna Dev Raya at Hampi. I summarise our stay as follows:
Best place to stay in Hampi
And the hotel people are so wonderful
And food is amazing
Thanks Heritage Resort to make our stay memorable in Hampi

- carolinelB9810RO (10/5): Excellent Hotel and birdwatching - We went on a bird watching walk from the hotel with Chandra who was excellent from start to finish. He is a lovely guy with expert knowledge. We were amazed at the variety of wildlife we saw in such a short space of time including a rare glimpse of an otter! We walked through temple ruins and along the Hampi river. Chandra provided binoculars and we saw lots of birds many of which he photographed and sent to us.
The hotel is also very good with excellent service and facilities. The front desk helped us with taxi bookings and answered queries about trains.
We ate at the restaurant most days and the food is delicious.
Would highly recommend.
- John (8/5): - Very good property but dated and in need of an upgrade. Could also do with more western dining options.
- Q1020RNrichk (10/5): A fantastic birdwatching nature hike to learn about the Hampi environment. - I thoroughly enjoyed the birdwatching and nature tour at Heritage Resort Hampi. It served as a wonderful and refreshing antidote to hours of touring through the Hampi ruins. The naturalist who runs the tour, Chandra, is clearly passionate about environmental protection and education in the Hampi area, and is so very knowledgeable about wildlife in this region. He has an encyclopedic grasp of the local bird species, as well as other animals and plants (including medicinal herbs). He took us on an easy 3 hour early morning hike near the river. We saw many different birds along the way. We didn’t have binoculars, but he provided them. He also took bird photos with a high quality camera and sent them to us. We were back in time to have breakfast and continue touring the Hampi ruins. Chandra has a wonderful, engaging personality, so I’m sure you’ll enjoy the experience. Take a break from the ruins and enjoy the relaxed pace of birdwatching and learn about the natural environment at Hampi.
- SanjeevJ_13 (10/5): Hampi and Badami Visit - We stayed in a Private Villa suite with Private pool. It was very comfortable although we ended up only using their main pool which has much better ambiance.
The customer service at this resort was excellent and they were very responsive to our requirements.
As part of our package we had breakfast and half -board included. Both breakfast and dinner had plenty of options (Western, North and South Indian etc) and we could also order custom dishes. All this made it a great time lace to come back every evening after a hectic day on Hampi.
We also ran into other tourists from many countries and exchanged notes etc.
One highlight was the Bharat Natyam performance one evening which was a pleasant surprise.
Finally the resort has a Naturalist (Chandrasekhar) who took us on a 3 hours sunrise and bird watching tour - this was one of our highlights.
Great job by the management team and and staff to keep customer service focus.
- wegag (10/5): Good place with wonderful staff - The staff in the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. The kitchen was very good too. We recommend a birdwatching tour in the early morning. The guide is very experienced. Besides birds you will see the sunrise in a beautiful and calm landscape.
For our excursiones we booked the tuc tuc driver from the hotel. He is a safe driver and explained all in a very good English. The sunrise tour with him we recommend highly.
- BoardingPass48680 (6/5): Not value for money resort - The resort is well located and laid out but is poorly managed. Stayed for two nights in Jan25. The guests have to virtually ask for facilities which normally are taken for granted as they are listed as part of the tariff. One example was the safe in the room for which no key was provided even after asking for same repeatedly and assurance given every time.A very lackadaisical service by the staff.
- raunakkumar17 (10/5): Very nice stay near Hampi! - This is a very nice property very close to the main sights of Hampi. The room is quite spacious and comfortable. The staff is very nice and helpful. The food at the restaurant is also quite good. Overall, it was an excellent stay. I highly recommend!
- 2trvel (10/5): Pleasant Stay near Hampi - Our four nights at the resort were very pleasant. The location is very convenient to both the ruins and to the town of Kamalapur - there aren't a lot of good options close to the ruins. The staff was accommodating and enthusiastic. Sitting by the pool was enjoyable, especially to take a break during the afternoon heat. The rooms were clean, airy and simply furnished. To calibrate expectations, our 'jacuzzi villa' was a decent sized room with a large bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub for 1 with jets. The mattress was comfortable, temperature control worked, and the internet was adequate for our needs. Unfortunately, the hot water was unreliable (you may need to run it for quite a while) and you need mosquito repellent outside despite the daily efforts of the resort to spray the critters into oblivion. The restaurant was excellent - a lot of options for breakfast including eggs-to-order and we recommend the buffet dinner. We also did the in-room service for a couple of dinners which worked well. We had massages at the spa which were pleasant: Be clear about what exactly you are expecting up front as the masseuses don't speak much English. (I requested an hour long full-body massage and at 40 minutes was informed that it was time for the sauna and shower, which I didn't expect or want. Eventually, I got the full hour massage but it disturbed the ambience and the masseuse was clearly flummoxed.) Overall, this is a very good base of operations for Hampi.
One recommendation is to visit the Mango Tree restaurant in Kamalapur for a change. We went three times for lunch. The thali is popular but we also enjoyed the a la carte dishes and the lime ginger lassi.
- Sherpa24213421549 (10/5): Perfect Location to explore ruins and enjoy nature - Such a perfect location to explore Hampi, with large well-appointed rooms and excellent meal plans and cocktails. I highly recommend getting the breakfast and dinner meal plan…. There are no decent and clean restaurants nearby (that I saw) and the food is excellent and varied and changes every day. We would explore after breakfast, return for lunch and a break and go back again in the late afternoon to continue our touring of the ruins and local attractions. You can even order freshly squeezed sugar cane juice which is delightful on a hot afternoon.
If you’re a nature lover Hampi has much to offer and you can ask for Mr. Chandrasekhar to take you on a guided hike or a bird watching experience on the banks of the Tunghabadra river.
All up the stay was far beyond our expectations and the staff were always helpful and kind.
I would happily return to Hampi and stay at the Heritage. I was a magical stay.
- Tara (8/5): - Lovely location to stay in Hampi. Food was very good. Staff were very nice and helpful. Rooms were comfortable. The pool was lovely for a short dip.
- Camper01386160870 (10/5): Peaceful and beautiful - I had a very nice time with Chandru, who made this early morning very peaceful and memorable.
I felt very safe and amazed by the birdwatching and the explanations about plants.
We walked next to the river and he even prepared a little snack.
I would warmly recommend.
- Jaspal_Aulakh (10/5): Nice Ambience - Resort is close to Hampi and full of traditional Indian trees. Staff is very courteous and chef can prepare delectable food on request. Swimming pool is really big and well kept. Natural beauty, verdant surroundings and local touch adds further lustre. Would live to revisit!!
- Ravindra (4/5): - Pool was clean and nice.
- lynnearnott (10/5): Great place for visiting Daroji Bear Sanctuary and the Sights of Hampi - The staff were very welcoming. They organised a safari for us to see the sloth bears which was excellent. I would highly recommend the safari. The resort was lovely with a pool and massage centre, both of which we enjoyed. We also enjoyed two cultural shows on the nights we stayed. The food was delicious and changed each day. It was a lovely place to stay to see the sights of Hampi and Anegundi
- Arun (10/5): - This is a gem in Hospet. Serene, clean surrounded by beautiful manicured gardens. The staff was eager and caring. I would highly recommend this place to stay for your visit to Hampi
