Guest Reviews
- Gabriela (7/5): Good rest, with some details - Bed was very confortable, linen very nice and cozy. We had a great night of rest.
Breakfast was great.
Water and tea available. Checkin wasnt as smooth, we werent expecting self check in.
There was no parking available, despite being announced at the reservation. There were a few slots and people just parked however they wanted, we told staff who didn’t bother to help.
Not the closest to restaurants, walking distance, we went out for dinner by car because it was very cold.
It’s a house with rooms, so you can hear all the talk and doors happening in the hall, and the breakfast downstairs- it wasnt much of a problem because we woke up a bit early, but might be frustrating if you want to sleep a bit longer.
- Noa (9/5): - Lovely inn. Walkable distance to the beach and a short walking distance from the stores on Main Street.
The staff was helpful. The living room area and outside yard were comfortable. The room was specious. The breakfast variety could be improved. Also, there was an unpleasant smell in the public area on day one, though it wasn't an issue for the rest of the stay.
- SP (7/5): - Great location, close to downtown butler quite. Clean and nicely decorated Room was too small.Light filtered through door and windows at night.
Very impersonal, no direct contact with a receptionist or any other human being from the inn.It gave us "pandemic" feeling...
They serve breakfast at 9am, so if you are like us needing to leave early, you get no breakfast...
- HERBERT (5/5): Not worth the money - Location. Broken shower head, glass enclosure too close to the bed. No current information about local area.
- Scott (6/5): - Downtown location
Dog friendly Very small room and bed. Had to climb over the end of the bed to get into bed. Bathroom was in the hall not in the room. Wasn’t well insulated so fairly loud and contractors decided to start work a couple doors down at 630 am. Was not advertised as a bed and breakfast and definitely didn’t say bathroom wasn’t in the room.
- Cheryl (7/5): -
- Linda (7/5): Nice property, a few watchouts. - The room was very nice and the grounds are lovely. The kitchen team was great and breakfast was yummy!! It was difficult to get a hold of someone, management is not on site. Also the floors are creaky and I had someone above me that walked around all night and kept me awake. Book an upstairs room if you stay here.
- Athanasia (9/5): Comfortable and safe stay in Half Moon bay. - Excellent breakfast. Beautiful inn and room. Spacious, comfortable and modern room, modern shower. Complimentary coffee, tea, wine, biscuits and fruit available anytime in the common space. Safe place for a single traveler.
- Stephen (4/5): Okay for one night but would not stay again - The location was in downtown Half Moon Bay When we booked this stay we thought it was a hotel, but upon arrival realized that it was a bed and breakfast.
The bed was pretty uncomfortable and the shower had some temperature adjustment issues. We would have preferred to stay in a hotel because bed and breakfasts tend to be noisier - thinner walls, etc. The pictures and description lead us to believe it was a hotel. We should have dug a little deeper before booking.
- Jill (10/5): Fabulous location and accomodations. - Staff was wonderful! So helpful and friendly. every morning breakfast was GREAT! They even had my husbands favorite coffee creamer - what a treat! each night warm chocolate chip cookies were out for the taking; and fresh fruit available was just wonderful. the hot/cold water dispenser saved us money on bottled water during our stay. Our room was beautiful, bed was super comfy, i didn't want to leave! the location was also very convenient. we only used our car one day to drive down the coast to Pescadero to see the lighthouse. otherwise we walked everywhere! our fave restaurant is Pasta Moon, a block away! It was perfect, we'll be back! can't think of one thing!
- Vega (10/5): The charm of Massachusetts - Everything, the host Suzy was a very kind lady . She took the time to explain and showcase the Inn. She was a delight. Everything looked meticulous and the charm of the inn took us immediately to the East Coast.
The room was perfect, a huge bed, a lovely fireplace and the bathtub was just what the doctor offered. We slept like babies.
Breakfast was very delicious and the server and the chef were just a delight to talk to.
We also loved the patio as we drank our complimentary wine while relaxing to the fire pit. We felt pampered. Nothing huge just perhaps inspecting and possibly tightening the propane knobs so they turn on immediately. The fire pit grill could use some cleaning or scraping of rust and repaint it flat black.
- Alison (4/5): This is a B&B not a hotel - we did not expect this. - The accommodation was advertised as a hotel, not as a Bed and Breakfast. We would not have booked the accommodation if we had known it was a bed and breakfast.
- kim (10/5): My absolute favorite go to whenever I’m in half Moon Bay - Susie, the receptionist was so helpful and very kind. I love the whole Nantucket atmosphere and the staff was so very nice and the breakfast was great. My only complaint would be the beds. They need new beds.
- Susan (10/5): Great place for a short stay in Half Moon Bay. - Convenient to restaurants, 20 minute walk to water, friendly staff, great breakfast and loved the wine & cookies. One of the fans in the room did not work.
- Esa (9/5): Comfortable, friendly, personal - Personal, friendly, clean.
Good breakfast
- Alina (6/5): -
- JMcAssey (9/5): Charming B&B not far from the ocean, close to shops and resturants. - carming room and location. hand held shower fixture
- Joanne (10/5): Great stay!! Thank you!!!!! - Beautiful property and extremely well appointed room! Top notch all the way around! Sparkling clean, comfortable and great breakfast!
- Sedrick (10/5): Perfect stay for the weekend - Perfect breakfast Ice machine was a little wonky...
- Amelia (9/5): Cozy home that felt like home! - So cozy and homey, the room was beautiful and very welcoming. The fireplace and bed were the best parts- very comfortable and loved the timer feature for the fireplace. The shower was tricky with the water temperature changing frequently between too hot and too cold, even after finding the perfect temperature it would rapidly change. The shower curtain kept sticking to the body because of the water pressure and how small the space was. The bathtub was perfect for a bath though!
- Andrew (10/5): -
- Yali (10/5): - It’s clean and quite comfortable, like living at home.
- Misasi (10/5): -
- julie (8/5): I would stay again and the breakfast was amazing - Cute and clean Walls have thin walls .
- Herrada (9/5): -
- Suzanne (10/5): Convenient location and excellent service - Privacy and excellent service
- Kaviyan (10/5): - It was peaceful and clean
- Junette (8/5): We had a good time, Inn was central so we could walk to dinner. - Breakfast was okay, certainly not “gourmet” as described. We had almost the same breakfast for two days in a row. Both days scrambled eggs and sausage but day one was sausages, day two was sausage patty. The building seems a little “ tired. Might need a little upgrading.
- Dolores (9/5): Great stay 😊 - Walking to bars and shops. We were visiting family so it was perfect location.
Staff were lovely and food provided was delicious. Very clean. It’s a boutique accommodation so you can hear guests in corridor . Didn’t bother us really. If we’d have had better weather we would liked to take advantage of patio area which looked great.
- Dolores (9/5): -
- Jasmin (9/5): - Clear instructions on how to turn on the shower were posted. There was good natural light in the bathroom. The hot breakfast was good with balanced nutrients. The parking area on the premise was very small. However, that was not such an issue because there was street parking nearby.
- Muffie (9/5): Nice easy overnight, would stay again - Very comfortable bed, clean well appointed room No one onsite prior to check in but could’ve reached by phone
- Anna (10/5): -
- Olga (9/5): Great getaway to the coast - Cozy rooms, lovely living area and free wine Lack of noise isolation - didn’t feel private enough
- Grant (9/5): -
- Reyes (10/5): -
- Fernando (9/5): Great place - Staff Bathroom was separate
- Dean (9/5): -
- Diane (9/5): -
- Linda (10/5): -
- chris, steve, and jackie (9/5): - Location
- Ute (10/5): - Amazing
- Brenda (10/5): Exceptional place to stay. - Exceptional place to stay. Really friendly greeting and being shown around.
Very comfortable bed, room and furnishings.
Loved the free wine in the reception lounge after we arrived - very nice touch. Also tea, coffee fresh fruit etc.
Great breakfast and staff.
Near to several restaurants and shops. The Italian restaurant a few minutes away was superb.
Not far to the airport. Nothing.
- Carter (10/5): - Amazing stay
- Martin (9/5): -
- Craig (8/5): - This was a super cute and cozy place, we had a queen bedroom with its own bathroom. The bed was comfortable as well as the pillows. Breakfast good, tea and coffee station is always available and free wine on tap. Lol. The shower was a disappointment, for $20 they could fix the shower head, it’s loose and tilts to one side bc water pours out the spigot over the heads connection. I thought it would fall off at any moment, luckily it didn’t. It needs to be completely replaced and able to point bc it’s inches from the wall. I would have told someone but we stayed 1 night and never saw the staff again.
- Michael (6/5): A lovely location but separate bathroom? - The room we stayed in was very small and the bathroom was separate from the room - it was only accessible from the public corridor (this wasn’t clear from the pictures but on looking at the small print realised it was hidden in the amenities section!). Breakfast was ok but not great. The outside space is lovely and their wine hour was a nice touch. It felt strange to have a B&B where everything felt so hands off (nobody at check in as we were outside the two hour window, paid staff doing breakfast not the owner).
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Staff was excellent. Inn was so comfortable and nicely appointed. We had everything we needed and more. Very good breakfast on the pretty patio. Would definitely stay here again.
- Kathy (9/5): -
- Gary & Tracey (8/5): - Nice property.. small rooms
And our room had the bathroom in the hallway.. not in the room.. which was not the best
Breakfast sub-par..
but free wine on an evening
Nice outdoor area
- Olga (10/5): -
- Rachel (6/5): Comfy stay in Half Moon Bay - Location was great for walking around the main street of Half Moon Bay. The bed was comfy and it looked just like the photos online although a bit tired. The breakfast was pretty average we didn't know what we were going to have and it just appeared when it was cooked. Also unfortunately we could hear the talking and snoring from the room that was next to ours so we had to play white noise to cover it up.
- Declan (9/5): Absolutely wonderful stay in a very cute B and B. It made our mini vacation!!!! - Cute place. Decent breakfast. The bed was very squeaky.
- Kim (9/5): -
- lisa (8/5): Lovely inn with a delightful outdoor area, close to all in Half Moon Bay, beautiful room, great bath - It’s a lovely inn, bedroom was charming, bath super. Breakfast very good cooked by a sweet lady, not the owner. There was no one to greet us. I had to phone the number next to the entrance and was given the code to enter, where to go, etc. It was a very impersonal and rather inhospitable reception.
- Cynthia (8/5): - no greeter
no instructions for pits
no info on where ice is
- Sean Li (9/5): -
- Langdon (8/5): -
- Ralph (8/5): Lovely respite - The staff was lovely. Susie was great. The breakfast was good. I haven't had pancakes in ages. The bedroom itself and common areas were beautifully decorated. It was a bit farther out the main vibe than I would have liked. Too far for us to walk to town center. But the property and courtyard really is lovely.
- Vanderhulst (10/5): Was very nice and vomfortable - Nothing
- Sonia (10/5): - It was a very relaxing and serene place. The staff was attentive. It was an oasis!
- Travis (10/5): Bed and Breakfast Is The Way To Stay - Quaint little town, lite up like the holidays. Little far from where I worked in Millbrae.
- Mattias (6/5): - The inn was convenient to the Main Street of Half Moon Bay. Great shops and restaurants nearby. The room was nice but there is no mini frig in the room but a shared one was available. There is also no ice machine accessible to the guests when no one is on the property. This place was pretty much self service besides a breakfast especially made for each guest and they accommodated our vegetarian request. The staff is not on the property during some of the daytime hours and calls to their phone number did not get responded to 50% of the time. There is also a large back open seating area. The housekeeping staff person was very friendly and the place was clean, besides the bathroom vent.
- Michelle (6/5): Not so quaint bed & breakfast - I stayed here for two nights, traveling solo. I didn’t realize it was a bed and breakfast. Unlike the quaint B&Bs where the inn keeper is present and adds friendliness to the experience, when I arrived during the window for check-in (between 4-6p), I was greeted by a young woman who gave me a quick tour and code for the door — and then she said she’d only be there till 6. My room at the top of the stairs felt make-shift, with the shower being outside of the bathroom. There was a curtain you could pull for privacy from the bed. It was a very small room. No A/C that you control from the room — only a fan which I used non-stop, as it was really warm and stuffy. The only staff I saw for my stay were two women who worked the breakfast shift. I wouldn’t stay again, unless they changed procedures and improved the condition of the space.
- Lee (10/5): A great place to stay in Half Moon Bay - A really nice bed and breakfast in a quaint old house. Lots of amenities. Friendly staff.. Great location. Tiny parking lot! Would definitely come back!
- Mary Ann (10/5): - Amazing
- Ross (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ellen (8/5): - Had a beautiful patio with lush garden; easy walk to downtown area; incredible breakfast and complimentary wine in the evening. A lot of thoughtful personal touches!
- Suzanne (10/5): Home away from home! - Quiet and personalized service.
- cathy (10/5): - Service, room, breakfast, wine and Sandra made this the most extraordinary stay ever. Would highly recommend Nantucket Inn! Thank you so much!!!!
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (10/5): - Very well maintained and managed.
- Chris (10/5): Lovely stay, definitely would return - Very well kept, comfortable sitting areas, available snacks, quiet, comfortable rooms
- Kasi (9/5): Lovely, comfortable inn with friendly, helpful staff. -
- Susan-jane (9/5): A lovely welcoming and peaceful place to land. I felt well taken care of and the other guests were pleasant. - It’s got a very homey feel with such nice consistent touches in design and ambiance. Very peaceful, a welcoming very well kept living room and large outdoor patio. Free wine and a multitude of warm drinks. Lovely staff and very nice breakfast. The house is a fairly old
Converted holding and the room I was in had some slightly awkward features but I know not all the rooms have this issue. The bed was very hard.
- Lori (10/5): - Excellent! Really nicely decorated, kind and friendly, plush carpets, clean and modern bathrooms, quiet and private.
- Deborah (10/5): - Lovely stay! The inn is inviting and comfortable and only 2 blocks from an excellent Italian restaurant.
- Haroon (10/5): - Great B&B for a seaside vacation.
- Marianne (6/5): Pleasant -
- Steve (6/5): A decent place but not worth $350 a night. - Great bed, cute house. Nice bathroom.
Good, complementary wines in the evenings. Breakfast was small and a little sad.
Couldn't accommodate an 8:30am breakfast when I had an early flight.
Street is loud.
Carpet is stained.
Window shades do not keep out the light.
- Regina (10/5): - It was friendly, and the breakfast in the morning was fabulous
- Lenett (10/5): Charming stay with personalized service right in town :) - perfect location - walked 2 blocks to the annual Wine & Jazz Festival. Easy, self-serve check-in via a friendly phone agent when we arrived early. Clean rooms, charming decor, hot breakfast prepared just for us at our preferred time. We will certainly be back!
- Louise (8/5): Very good -
- Phillip (8/5): - Cool place to stay
- Heidy (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was so cute the cook was soo sweet and attentive Everything was amazing
- Kismet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nancy (8/5): Very good - Everything was very clean. The inn was not full and was very quiet. Breakfast was decent but arrived cold even though we had to pick an exact time to eat and we arrived in the dining room almost ten minutes early. Our room was very small for two people but we were only there for one night so it was ok.
- Lynn (10/5): Delightful - The stellar reviews rang true for me. Friendly welcome. Lovely, quiet, light-flooded room. Delicious hot fresh breakfast. Fruit, cookies, wine, and coffee. Location right on Main Street but just far enough (like two blocks) from the shopping strip to be nice and quiet.
If I have one…I can’t even call it a complaint. Just know that my room (can’t remember the name) took forever to get hot water. Trust the process; it will come.
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neff (8/5): Very good -
- Mcassey (9/5): Amazing little Inn that took me back to my home in RI. - Great little inn with great accommodations. My room had a jacuzzi tub and fireplace. Delicious breakfasts. Free wine , coffee and tea at night. Beautiful area to enjoy with others in the common areas. Outside patio has fire pits. Pet friendly too. Walking distance to great restaurants and shops. Beach is a short drive.
- CRAIG (10/5): - We stayed one night - it was quiet, bed was comfortable, fireplace in the room. bkfst consisted of eggs, two small sausage patties, potatoes, yogurt with fruit, orange juice, and coffee. It also had a nice outdoor space with free wine.
- Monica (8/5): - Walls are thin. Bed was creaky and not very comfortable.
- Edward (8/5): - Nice overall. Walls were very thin you could hear everything out side of the room. Area was nice enough, everything closed early. Recommend Cameron’s Pub down the street and Pasta Moon for dinner was great! Hiking was close as were the beaches.
- Shirley (10/5): Exceptional -
- jeff (10/5): - very nice
- Yuv (10/5): Great - Great place. We loved the sailing decor In summer, it might be a little hot with no ac?
- Schoen (7/5): Cute-place in a great location. - The location was excellent. It was quiet and clean. The coffee situation needs an upgrade. A better Keurig machine with more interesting high-end coffee available - oat creamer would’ve been nice. A better icemaker would be nice.
- Lori (10/5): Exceptional -
