The staff were kind and attentive. Staff were particularly helpful in organizing my shuttle to the airport when I needed to make a last-minute change to my timing.

Le resto de l'hotêl était un peu cher pour la qualité des aliments que j'ai mangé un soir. Partant très tôt je n'ai pas goûté le déjeuner inclus. Le personnel à la réception est toutefois efficace et aimable.

They had access to money exchange at and to the on-site restaurant (food was great too). The front desk helped us set up our tour to Tikal, they gave us directions and recommendations. The bedroom was big enough, clean every day, the bed was comfortable, they had AC, hot water and wifi. The terrace was beautiful. Everything you needed was handy. Super recommended. Our room was facing the street and the street was noisy until late at night and early in the morning. However, we knew about it because of other reviews. Bring earplugs and a good mood, it's an active town (you'll have to deal with it).

• Steven (3/5): bad service - location is great staff was not only unhelpful, they made things worse. I coordinates for an early checkin (which they charged me 25% extra for) but when I arrived the room was not ready and I had to wait for three hours for the room to be ready. I had changed my plans based on their confirmation of availability and got there waiting for a room to shower and rest after hiking Acatenango and taking the overnight bus, but was met with intransigent host and no intention to solve despite their mistake. I was also told I was going to be riding a private shuttle to Belize city, but then after change of host, they told me there were no means of transport and I had to fend for myself. I also had a controversy when confirming my stay, because on the main page of booking I was shown a promo with a discount, but when paying it was not applied, and as soon as I saw the charge I contacted them and they said this was final price and that the promo had expired. Too bad because the location is great, but their service is too bad.

Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Die Betten waren komfortabel und die Zimmergröße angemessen. Ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis Leider ist es extrem hellhörig und ohne Ohropax macht man kein Auge zu, da bis spät in die Nacht Party gemacht wurde. Das Badezimmer ist renovierungsbedürftig und unser Fenster ging im Bad nicht auf, was auch Schimmelspuren erklärt.

The terrazzo on the 3rd floor was a great place to hang out, though the wifi was weak up there. I liked everything about the Hotel Casa Amelia except the shower head. The volume of water coming out was low, making it difficult to get a good wash. At the same time, the thin streams of water were so intense that they stung a little.

Bardzo głośno w pokoju, zarówno z ulicy mimo zamkniętych okien ( są tak słabe że nie ma właściwie różnicy czy są zamknięte czy otwarte) jak i z korytarza ( drzwi są cienkie) jak i jednostek zewnętrznych klimatyzacji ( nie wiem czy ktoś je w ogóle serwisuje). Cena z booking nie obowiązywała w ogóle, zapłaciłam sporo więcej.
• Heather (8/5): Good stay on Flores and within walking distance of picking up tours to Tikal! - Casa Amelia was in good walking distance of shops, the community center (watched kids play basketball in the evenings after dinner) and the bakery for early morning coffee. Dinners were great at the restaurant overlooking the water and the food and drinks were good. Very noisy in the evenings and mornings with loud motorcycle traffic and boats touring the water nearby with loud parties and even louder music when we needed to get some rest before early departure to our next destination.

• Barbara (10/5): Great little waterfront hotel - Great little hotel! Currently a waterfront property because of the high level of the lake. Nice room with a lake view from big window, comfy bed, hot shower, a/c if you need it, considerate staff, good breakfast, rooftop terrace, and shuttle (in an oversized golf cart!) to and from the airport. Totally great for our 3 days in Flores. Highly recommended. Next time we would ask for a lake view room on the 2nd floor. Our room on the 1st floor felt a little exposed to the people on the street in front but it really wasn’t a problem.

• Rich Nicholls (9/5): Excellent location but be aware of noise - There are real pros and cons to consider here. The hotel has a large terrace with probably the best sunset views in Flores. The room we had on the floor with the terrace was comfortable. Good beds and pillows, excellent shower. The food in the on-site restaurant is good at breakfast and evening. The staff are friendly and the waterfront location is beautiful. Overall I rate the hotel facilities as excellent. This is not the fault of the Hotel, but Flores is not what pictures might suggest. It is very busy and very noisy. Motorbikes pass directly outside the hotel until very late and start early, there is loud music from bars until late. Don't expect much sleep.
