Joel (2/5): - Staff was awful and the lady was rude.
stevebX4860GH (2/5): Never go back there - The owners are drug dealers. There was drug deals going on in the parking lot. The rooms where filthy and bed sheets look like a dog was in the bed. Hair everywhere. Inless prostitution was going on and rented the room by the hour. Supposed to have clean towels but looks like a mechanic used them to clean grease with. Toilet seat was falling off. Bathroom mirrors where handle see your self because it’s so old. They needed to be up graded. The staff that was helping us when we got there she supposed to be 8 months pregnant but looked like 4 months pregnant because of drugs. I felt sorry for her. That she got in that mess. The window screen are worn out and that whole place is very unsafe.
Charles (6/5): - Towels were very raggedy and had stains. Comforter was ripped with cloth coming out. Women’s hair found in bed and shower. Shower rusty and moulded ceiling ceilings. It’s kind of what you expect for paying a very cheap motel but it definitely needs some work

Michael (10/5): - I've been coming here for about 40 years, It was the Capri long ago like the restaurant in the parking lot. On a whim I tried another placed down the street and wasn't satisfied so I checked out and immediately came back to the Budget. This place is an old friend and I'm sorry I didn't just come here first. This isn't the ritz, it's a working mans stop! Its not for everyone, I've read the reviews. The iconic Capri diner is just steps from your room. Thank you @ Budget Inn for being there when I come through town! Mike C.
ShaunaF533 (2/5): This scam motel will be facing a lawsuit if I’m not reimbursed - I had one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had at Budget Inn Boise. I booked through Expedia months in advance for two nights, two adults, two Queen Beds at a confirmed rate of $137.60. When I arrived around 2 a.m., the front desk could not find my reservation, took over an hour to check me in, and then charged me $140 for just one night. On top of that, the room only had one bed, forcing my other guest to sleep on the couch. The next morning, another employee admitted the mistake but refused to correct it, claimed he didn’t know how to process refunds, and demanded another $90 if I wanted to stay the second night. They also improperly charged my deposit instead of holding it, and the extra charge has still not been refunded. When I asked for the owner’s contact information, the staff refused to provide it. This hotel is unprofessional, dishonest, and does not honor confirmed reservations. I was forced to leave and pay for another hotel at more than double the cost because they would not fix their mistake. I would strongly advise travelers to avoid this property. Also, a friend of mine showed videos to me of what looked like hidden cameras in the room and bathroom
Shauna (2/5): - A couple years ago my friend showed me videos of what looked like hidden cameras in this place…bedroom and bathroom. This weekend was absolutely terrible. They refused to process the reservation I made 3 months ago for a 2 bdrm for 2 nights. The guys in the office are terrible…terrible customer service, fraudulent, unprofessional and have no idea what they’re doing. Budget inn’s incompetent employees are losing the company money and will eventually face a lawsuit if they don’t train their employees on what they can and can’t do
Justin (2/5): Horrible an bug infested room - I came in an checked the hotel looked clean, i was woken up after being bitten by bed bugs. I had to get up in the middle of the night an go get another hotel due to this. Went back the next morning an told them about it, they juat wrote it down an said yeah they sprayed the upstairs rooms the day before so i guess they just made rhe bugs move down stairs, they acted like it was just a normal occurrence, i showed them all the bites that i recieved an they just said thanks. I would stay as far away as you can from this hotel .
bobbi (2/5): - Horrible experience booked 2 nts checkin took forever only one there, got into the rm #209 went to turn on light all unplugged due to no avail outlet tv or a fire hazard outlet with signs of melting. Close the curtains and they fall off the track. Toilet seat doesnt fit the toilet mold all over the ceiling foot prints on the wall near the bed dirty/stained towels sheets pillowcases. Went to inform day staff younger lady (checked in after midnight with older gentlemen same day)and was informed no other rooms available and yeah maintenance knows. Experienced a not so professional encounter with i presume the owner/manager lady after i booked another room online w double beds for another two nights in hopes of a better experience in a differemt room and asked if i can check-in earlier than 3 since ive extendent my stay and attempted to address concerns in the room and Indian lady became hostile and advised she can cancel my non-refundable 2nd stay for another 2 nights to which i shut up cuz your not going to take my money and not allow me to stay then proceeded to tell me for $40 i can check-in early told her im ok then lowered it to $20 after asking how many where staying in the rm (just me) then before giving my $50 deposit back asked if i just wanted to leave it um no. Got back to check in around midnight same guy whontells me no rooms available um what i have a reservation basically have to take a single okay whatever cuz again nonrefundable reservation and they put me in rm

Verified traveler (4/5): Would not suggest.spend the extra trust me - I got to listen to who I believe was possibly the manager , lil short lady , cuss out her employee or whatever she was doin instead of letting him finish helping me check in. After that I walked out to a pking lot with about 9 guys bbqin with a hibachi in the pking lot at like 1130pm. Next morning the new staff was impatient slightly rude and slow as hell
Craig (2/5): - I bet if I’d read reviews I’d never have stayed here but frankly I was desperate and what I learned is this is a place you stay if you’re desperate. I got bedbugs here bitten all over my legs and arms and i slept on top of the comforter because it had so many holes in it I couldn’t bring myself to pull it down and I really needed to get some sleep. Then I shaved in the sink and I always wear shower slippers but I realized the sink was leaking and had left a huge puddle. So I dried it up with a towel which turned the towel black. They almost didn’t give me back my security deposit because of it. The front desk agent was kind enough. But I’m still recovering from the bedbugs. I didn’t realize it was next to a shelter until I was driving away.
Makayleigh (4/5): - Nothing in the booking said there was a cash security deposit required along with the booking fee at time of check in. The room was small, not the most clean, and the bathroom ceiling looked like it had been moldy at one point and half cleaned. AC worked- but was EXTREMELY noisy and made it hard to sleep with the crazy rattling. The shower worked, technically. Most of the things weren’t actually mounted and attached to the wall like you’d expect from a functioning shower. When we went to leave, we had to wait for them to “ok” the room so that we could actually check out and receive our security deposit back. Thankfully we weren’t in a hurry- it took like 20 minutes before he radioed back saying it was okay.
Steve (2/5): - First of all the pictures they use to represent this place are false, the room wasn’t even close, you have to pay a 50$ deposit in cash, the room smelled bad, the tv would not function correctly, the chair was disgusting, and there was dry blood on the bedskirt. I took pictures of every bit of it but I can’t include them here

Rooms are Gross The Staff they have Suck. It used to be a once an awhile cheap quick room when you really needed one at a reasonable price But no since they have new owners They have more than doubled the price on room and they dont return security deposit's From what I have read im not the only one they do this to. Dont feed these people your hard earned money They dont honor or respect it. Cant wait til they collapse because its just a matter of time;)
Matt (2/5): - The 1 star is for the general manager. Everyone else was amazing. But his sour attitude, rude demeanor and just plain rude behavior made me give this property a 1 star. He really needs to read up on ADA.
Reme (4/5): - Proximity of the property to downtown and key locations is great. But the property is OLD and rundown. One of our two rooms was not cleaned or made up when we opened the door. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but now sure how they could miss that. There is one chair and a bed in each room. Unlike the beds, you can't change the linens on the chairs. They were disgusting. At least the bed linens were clean. Seemed to be a lot of weekly renters (fixing cars, just hanging around, etc.,). We chose the location and price for ease of access and some quick zzz's before heading to the airport. Great if your budget is low but you'll get what you pay for.
Anthony (8/5): - You pay for what you get. The surprise 50 deposit is always a nice touch. After driving for 9 plus hours I jus wanted to lay down. I carry my own blanket n sheets when I travel. There was left over frozen food in the fridge from who knows when.

Accused ne if being aggressive when they saw i was un happy (i was nothing of tge sort) When hotels.com called them they still wouldn't do anything but take our money. THEY JUST put us out on the street.

Dayona (2/5): STAY THE HELL AWAY. RUN FAST MAN RUN!!!!! - Our stay was terrible we were in room 211. The room is outdated, there was a hole in the bedspread, the bathroom door didn't completely shut. Now here is the worst and most disgusting part is our room had a mouse in it. We were told to follow the rules of the property with one being no cats. When we went to our room a room 2 doors down had a cat. After being so grossed out about the mouse I told the guy that was checking us out and he said yes that's one of our workers. All he said about the mouse was sorry. Would not recommend this place definitely would say to stay clear.

Shower was excessively loud. I could see outside while sleeping as curtain didn’t cover window length. Ac thermostat was broken and overheated room. Door was misshaped and could see through crack in doorway. No lock on window and could be opened from outside.
Kevin (4/5): - To be honest, I was very disappointed. I was there for seven straight days and not once was my bed remade. I only received one out of seven days shampoo and soap and the towels were only replaced once I was not used to that.

Melanie (8/5): - The budget inn has gotten better it's all new staffed nice on the business side which is good. I honestly cannot blame the owner this isn't a good area. Protect what she worked hard for I respect that. The budget inn has improved they have cleaned thé area gotten new mattresses it always smells clean the towels are folded very nicely bathroom has been painted well cleaned. Always provided coffee and coffee pot. Laundry vicinities. The only thing I would give some advice on is the staff are too nosey I mean they gotta be I would agree on the property and room service I understand completely but that should be it. Great staff they are all a team you can tell. They take pride in their job that's nice to see. I feel I rated fair to the owner great work good example brutally hoñest. Good job guys.
Ricardo (2/5): - Roaches ants and mold. When checking in I was told that Expedia did not reserve my room. So I hat to pay more than what Expedia quoted me. When we got in the room there was food under the bed and ants everywhere. When my kid put their backpack on the table there was a roach on the table and a few on the floor. There was mold in the bathroom and ants all over the floor and counter.

Alfonso Rodriguez (2/5): Worst stay in boise - “B” who works the night desk was very unprofessional and downright rude. I unable to check in after having a booking through this account in my name, booking in my name, and card in my name; and refused check in due to my partner having an expired id which we been waiting on in the mail (he said this was industry standard nor specific to the location). I tired to explain to B that we had drove from the middle of wyoming for 11 hours and just needed a place to sleep to get back on the road to california but he would hear it and got rude when i explained we never experienced such a requirement in any state or rental option we’ve been to and that all necessary info was in my name, and we were both over 21. B refused a refund and went back to watching tv and eating in the lobby which he was doing before i walked in. I called the next day to to speak to management (A) and they told me that the id requirement is location policy (its not on the property policies section on here or posted in their lobby) and was told that it is known that B is very rude to customers (so dont be shocked if you receive the same treatment). I wouldnt even look at this place as an option, pay a couple more dollars and go to a place that wont give a headache at 11pm after driving the whole day.

667suzetter (2/5): Unfriendly, rude manager in addition to price increase - I am very disappointed in this hotel.the pet fee was increased from 25 dollars to 80 dollars when I arrived. This is not what was quoted to me when I made this reservation. The manager came out and was discourteous and even demeaning. When I chose to not continue ue with my Reservation she rudely told me to be on my way. I was very polite and Profesional throughout the interaction, and did not deserve the rudeness. This is not a good choice for a hotel in the Boise area

You want cheap find a different cheap one trust me this is definitly pay what you get for. But you can find far nicer for the same price. Will never come back.
Shanice (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE - DO NOT STAY HERE. The company steals from potential customers. I used Hotels.con to make the reservation. Listing says pet friendly. The do not list pet fee. They charge $30 per animal. Then when you arrive and are not willing and do not agree to pay more than your hotel room for dogs that will not come out of a crate. They will not refund your money. The use hostage marketing to not allow your money to be refunded. It is never documented anywhere prior to making the reservation that they have a no refund policy.
Adrianna (2/5): - The bathroom was moldy, the toilet wouldn’t flush, the outlets would spark every time you plugged in a charger… and so much more. The staff was very impatient with customers and we didn’t even get a room key so we didn’t even feel safe leaving our things in our room. I personally would never stay there again. The price isn’t even worth it considering I got a different hotel for just a little more money and everything was so much more enjoyable.
Lawrence (2/5): - Arrived after midnight. Number 2 in line. The night clerk took about 10 minutes per customer to process them in. Told me there is a $25/dog nonrefundable fee, and a $50 cleaning deposit, which is Not in the property description of fees. I paid cash, and it seemed like a scam. The night clerk said they didn't have any room swipe keys, so he escorted me to the room and opened the door. I had to leave the room door open for several trips to my vehicle for items I needed to get into the room. Unsafe. The room was a dump. Filthy shower, toilet and the floor was dirty. Broken wall plates, missing smoke detector. The shower tub filled up about 6" of dirty water during shower. Drain not working. No electrical outlet in bathroom for hair dryer.

LARRY (8/5): I will stay again. - If you pull in and think about leaving again...don't do it. The price is great, the room clean, well-appointed with amenities, and it was small, but comfortable. Also, there is one thing they do, that I have mixed feelings about. They do not save you card number, so when you check out they must check the room and after, use your card again to issue you a refund. I was not informed, so it made me late to my appointment, but it does make your refund faster. I will stay again.

Verified traveler (2/5): HORRIBLE - By far the worst hotel/motel experience of our lives. Check-in felt like we were being interrogated. Every person in our car, including people that were not even staying in the hotel, had to come in, stay the entire check-in time, and have their IDs photocopied. We had to have a $50 CASH deposit that we could not have back until our room was inspected after check-out. We were also informed that every day of our stay, there would be a MANDATORY room check. That is a complete invasion of privacy, and made us question what kind of criminal things were taking place at this establishment. The room was filthy and smelled horrible. There was mold growing in the shower. We did not stay. We immediately turned the key back in, and found a proper hotel that we could feel comfortable in.
Takala (2/5): Disgusting and was assaulted by staff. - This place is the dirtiest place I have ever stayed at, I got charge way too much with extra deposits and was assaulted by the lady behind the front desk because I was crying (because my grandpa just died and she was literally screaming at me with 3 other people in the lobby). The hotel threw staff threw items at me and no person in the hospitality industry should be throwing objects at their customers for crying, especially if they have no idea what their tears are for. They were not running a professional business whatsoever and use any excuse to charge your card more than what you booked it for.

Gilean (4/5): - Very run-down, you definitely get what you pay for. Bathroom walls were falling apart, had mold. Not sure they cleaned the shower/tub. Ever. Walls were grimy and needed paint. Lingering smell of cigarettes even though it was a non-smoking room. I did check for bugs, and didn't find any, so thats a plus. Staff was friendly. Parking not awesome.

Lawrence (2/5): - Management/staff went out of their way to make my stay uncomfortable. It was suspicious when I first checked in and was informed that they did not allow visitors at all. Did anybody had to have their ID announce their arrival. In that lecture I was also informed that I could go if I wanted to “ Walk over to the Chevron station if I need a snack or something” I reply was pretty sarcastic and that was “ i’m not checking jail after all” sarcasm went right over his head, but I was a bit astonished this front desk manager was telling me that I had permission to leave at night. The next day check out I was awakened at 8 AM by the front manager, knocking on the door” Remaining me, the checkout was at 11. This is initiated, anxiety attack by I am still managing. This front desk manager, then proceeded to interrupt me packing up three times time telling me checkouts at 11 the last time telling me ‘your times up. I’m calling the authorities.” it was the only 1052. I was then forced to leave the door to the room open to the outside world because it was a motel while I finished getting dressed” and putting my shoes on. I got dressed and everything out in front of the room by 11:12 AM at which time I was told “because I wasn’t out at 11 and it’s well past that I have forfeited my $50 deposit” He refused to budge From that stand even when I told him your interruptions or the reason I Was 12 minutes l late” In addition to this review, I am complaining Expedia
TimmiAnn (2/5): - They immediately kept my deposit & failed to tell me i needed to come back to the office at check out or they'll keep my deposit. Believe all the nasty reviews you read about this place, cuz they're all true. I really appreciate the lady working at the front desk this morning working with me & getting my deposit back at least. I understand its a run down motel & you get what you pay for, but my lord this was bad. Go stay at Motel 6, literally anywhere but here.

Upon handing me the room keys the half says ok that’s goin to be an extra $75 for a deposit. Much to my frustration I grabbed my purse and went to tell my fiance what was happening. He went to figure out what was happening and was almost immediately chased out by a psychotic little woman who was screaming profanities at him. This immediately set my cardiac issues into high gear and I had to take my emergency medication to prevent another heart attack. I hope NO ONE EVER stays here and that Hotels.com stops doing business with this woman and the likes of her.

Randy (2/5): - When I put the address in for Budget Inn in Boise, it said permanently close. Well it wasn’t and should have been. Where to start: 1. The owner parks his car under the awning where guess are to check in. 2. It’s a U-haul storage business. They park the big trucks in the parking spots, right in front of your room. So you have to walk around them to get into your room. Very sad situation! 3. I had to sit in bed and wipe my feet off before crawling into bed. The floor was that dirty. 4. The hot water was an orange/rust color coming out of the sink. 5. WiFi would drop all the time. 6. TV wasn’t working properly on local channels. Scattered picture, one could view. There was sound. 7. The bed spread top cover had holes, that my feet would stick through. 8. Sneaky billing…they had a deposit of $50.00, which was no problem, all motels have this. But, if you did not go to the office and check out, when time to leave, with your credit card, they would add it to your bill. So, if you needed to leave early, before the office opened. You were out of luck, and charged. 9. I had to go ask at the office for wash clothes. As there was none in the room. 10. My recommendation: Stay away!

tylermS7365TK (2/5): Horrifying - Weirdest experience of my life, it’s 9 am and two guys come in rearranging my room, then the owner comes in and starts screaming at them in front of me while I’m just trying to eat a burrito, (i filmed it btw) then she storms out and is screaming on her phone in the parking lot. The two guys looked scared, and 30 minutes of my privacy was wasted. The place smelled like cigarettes only one channel on the tv I never got my deposit back and I think everyone that works there is clearly on meth, even the owner it’s obvious. Worst motel in Boise no doubt. DO NOT BOOK.
Jennifer (2/5): - The woman at the front desk is mean, abusive, and yells at you. At check out, I was screamed at, threatened, and then locked out of the lobby for no reason. There were used needles in the parking lot. I had to cancel my credit card and call the police while traveling because they threatened to charge it over and over again.
jencT1975GH (2/5): Crazy owner will threaten you! - The owner is crazy.. like, legit- screaming, threatening crazy. I went to check out of my room but was met with a very nasty Indian woman who screamed obscenities at me because…. I asked her “why?” When she said I need to wait for the housekeeper to check my room before I left. She then locked me out of the lobby and told me she’s going to charge me for damages to the room! A night on the street would be better than a night here.
Verified traveler (4/5): Rusty water from the sink - Had to go to the office for a washcloth and toilet paper. One dim light over the sink. Wall rotting in the bath area. It was adequately comfortable to sleep and quiet enough however.
Hector (4/5): - Entire room smelled like cigarettes. The wiring of some of the lights were sticking out. Shower did not drain and neither did bathroom sink. Towels were literally brown and.black and once confronted, their response was that they knew. The shower even spitted out brown water for a few minutes. Gross place, don't save money, go somewhere more safe.

The staff was nice the owner was terrible. She charged me for bogus charges and threatened to kick me out if I did pay them. She yelled at her employees in front of me. I felt awful for them. If I could give negative stars I would.

I could not bring myself to shower during my stay. The worst part was the very mean idian lady at the desk who screened and slammed the door on me mid sentence because I asked for the wifi password.
