Guest Reviews
- Ana (6/5): - Its ok
Good price
- Cristina (10/5): - Pet friendly
- Suresh (10/5): - good enough for a night
- Mario Daniel (2/5): - It is ridiculously expensive and bad
- Dariana (6/5): - .
- Kaitlyn (2/5): - Bad area. Rude people. Noisy by the busy Main Street. Terrible parking…. Could go on and on…..
- Natalie (6/5): - Quick check in.
- Federico (10/5): - Nice place and affordable
- Stephen (4/5): - way overpriced for low grade motel
- Camille (2/5): - This property is really run down, the room smell, the furniture is damaged and beyond stained. The overall look of the room is disgusting.
- Aaron (2/5): - The floors were dirty , , rust on the fridge . We set a towel down on the couch and we saw a small bug jump onto it. And the smell was disgusting from the ac. Never again we stayed there only an hour and left.
- Ivan (2/5): - Property was dirty, sheets had stain and hairs on them (sheets hadn’t been changed), shower handles was broken, TV didn’t work and bed size are full not queen as advertised.
- maria (4/5): - Room was spacious but bed and couches looked like they were from the 80s. And very uncomfortable. Towels were dirty glad i brought my own. Saw roaches. Door to the bathroom didn't close and front door pad lock didnt lock either only little chain.
- AARON (4/5): - The room had mold, the towels were dirty, the jacuzzi was very dirty and the room smelled bad.
- Calvin (4/5): - The motel name is misleading. No executive would be caught dead here
The "pet-friendly" claim needs a qualifier - pet size is limited to 20 pounds (ridiculous, given the tile floors), and the charge is $20 per pet. So our 2 40-pound dogs spent the night in the car.
While the room was "clean", it had been mopped carelessly, leaving crud on the edges of the bedspread. (my wife cares about that sort of thing).
No USB power, but we brought our own.
I would say "stay here only if you have no other choice".
Also - parking is limited. We had to park right by the highway, since there were no other spaces available.
- Kodi (10/5): - Eh few crickets and roaches in the room that were dead other than that it was okay.
- Leonardo (10/5): - Good location
- Veronica (4/5): - The room had a smell, the floors never got cleaned. And they’re laminate white flooring. Never got new towels, went to the front desk to ask for more towels and had to go back and bring the dirty ones to exchange. The trash never got picked up and we stayed 4 nights.
- Carlos (8/5): - todo bien
- Maria (8/5): - Swimming pool and Jacuzzi
- Elvira (10/5): - Clean room, friendly service facilities were clean, so was the pool really Stay for the family
- Ramon (2/5): Dont book this place - When we booked the hotel it stated that the conditions of the hotel were good. Upon arriving we checked in the parking lot was very small the building looked old and deteriorated. When we walked inside the beds gas stains on the sheets, the lights over the sink didn’t work. The wall had missing paint. Some one spray painted the walls then covered it up. There was a small alleyway in between the rooms the door didn’t lock
- Jesus (2/5): - Dirty towels and smelly
- Angelica (2/5): - This property was outdated and NASTY. There were roaches in the bed and on the walls. The first room we were given, which was room 111 was missing the additional safety locks, and the regular standard lock was not able to lock at all. Upon arrival there was literally a roach crawling across the pillow. I immediately went upfront to ask for another room in which we were moved to room 106 where there were also roaches on the wall the toilet was brown And the seat was not even secured. The room was muggy and the floor was sticky. I checked in at 10 PM and I checked out at 2 AM. I was charged the full amount for three days before I arrive, which was not supposed to happen until I arrived check in time was before 10 PM. I arrived at 9:50 and had already been charged. That was not the agreement , even though the front staff was trying his best to accommodate me and move me to another room. It was still not up to par. I was refunded for the remaining two nights, but based on my stay, I feel like I should have been refunded the full total value.
- RoxAnne (2/5): Never again - This hotel is very run down. It is in desperate need of remodeling. I would not stay here again.
- Sylvia (2/5): - No coffee no ice
- Marianne (10/5): - The room needed repainted chipped paint on all the doors and walls. The bathroom was in real bad shape as the bathtub had been patched. No plug to hold the waterto take a bath. The room did smell clean. NO ICE.
- Breanna (2/5): - We were there for a construction project. We have stayed in some pretty crummy places. We felt so unsafe leaving our tools and staying there we actually booked another hotel and left.
- Maria (6/5): - Silence
- Mariyah (2/5): A true Roach Motel - So many roaches. We booked for 4 adults and only got 2 towels in the bathroom. The whole place needs to be remodeled. The stairs are in bad shape and no grip if they’re wet. I’m pregnant so we had to leave early, not worth the risk of going up and down those stairs
- Lexie (8/5): - 👍
- jose (10/5): - muy buen hotel
- Charles (4/5): Dont have high expectations. - I've stayed in quite a few low end motels, but this one by far was the most disappointing. First off I rented two rooms for my band as we were playing
In the area and paid a little over $100 a night for a room that was worth maye $40-$50. I understand paying a higher fee for a room and the South Padre area is understandable, but this place was not worth the money. Service was friendly and they seemed to be ready to answer any questions we had, but the rooms where to say the least in rough shape. Sconces were broken, the floor in one of the rooms felt very soft like the plywood was rotted out underneath it there was mold present in both bathrooms and there were roaches. The kitchenette was in bad repair and the floors were extremely dirty. The only credit I can give to the room is that the bed and towels were clean although the towels were all small sized. I will not be staying at this location again.
- Kevin (2/5): - This place is barely suitable. Toilet seat missing parts so dried urine collect in seat fasteners, bath tub cracks fixed with bondo, couch in room should be taken to the dump. Manager does adequate job but property needs massive cash infusion to bring it into a viable motel. It is really is a pit!
- Rosa (2/5): - Dairy Sting Roches de FlorWhat’s Dary sticky. Top dirty hairs on it the room it was stink towels stained big stains we was not happy at all
- leonicio (8/5): - The bed was really hard and old and there was mold all over the closet it just felt nasty ac did not work correctly.
- Diana (10/5): - Super economical. No coffee maker or clock. No frills, just basic. Still very comfortable.
- Jessyka (8/5): - Bed was broke so the sleep was subpar at best but we were only there for the weekend so it worked out. Great location right by the Port Isobel Bridge.
- Amanda (10/5): Simple - I came only for a quick trip. It was not expensive no noise.
- Sofia (6/5): Had better cheap hotels - Was extremely hot when we first walked in the room. The a.c was very loud and barely blew enough cold air took a long time to cool down. Not enough towels. The door didn lock automatic had to swipe the door again to lock it the man working in the front did not mention that to us and our belongings could have been stolen while we were out.
- Jesus (8/5): - Good
- Stephanie (2/5): Disgusting roach infested/unclean hotel - This Hotel is disgusting. The room had roaches all in it. We opened a drawer and they ran out everywhere. We checked the beds before bringing our things in. There were stains all over the fitted sheets. The comforter had crusty spots all over it as though someone had not washed them. The floors were disgusting. Still had hair from previous people in the tub. The toilet and sink needed cleaned badly. We left only a couple things in the room to try and figure out somewhere else to stay. When i came back my shoes were missing. So were some of my daughters clothes from her bag. Another room had well over 12 people staying in it. When i went to the front to address the situation they acted oblivious to the big problem and acted as though the stains/mini fridge/and bugs were just a surprise. It would be one thing to only be my room but it was in my cousins room as well. Absolutely disgusting place. Never take your children here. I swear there were drug addicts watching us and later someone told us this was one of the worst hotels to stay in. By far i agree
- Lydia (4/5): No Bedding - When I checked in the room they gave me had no bedding. It was hot - A/C was not on and smelled.
- Maria Ana (6/5): - I don’t like saying much but there towels need to be washed & pillow cases , I’m glad when I travel I take my on pillow & towels!!! But hey a little more effort on their part is essential to making it more pleasant ! after all we Are paying for the stay !!!
- Angel (6/5): - AC does not blow hard, they don’t do daily house keeping and no breakfast for the price we pay
- Donnita (2/5): - I had roaches in my room. The pool was dirty. I had to go get towels. There was a homeless person taking a bath in the pool. I want a refund
- Zarita (10/5): - It was great guy in the front was nice and super cool. Rooms were clean the pool was super cold to enjoy it. Overall excellent experience
- Abel (2/5): - We got a different size bed than what i requested online.
It was a roach motel and the beds fell down each time we laid on it. The floors were dirty and sticky. I hated this place.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Roach infested - When first entering the room the smell of cigarettes was leaking through the walls and cockroaches were crawling all along the counters, fridge, and walls. Left the room and hotel immediately after seeing this.
- Gustavo (6/5): - No safety lock and no phone. The fire alarm was not set up.
- Duane (8/5): - Was ok, bed had a dip in the middle so we kept rolling towards the middle & there was a lot of traffic with thr road just 20 ft away
- Clay (2/5): - Did not even stay. Got there and one of the two rooms we reserved had a broken AC. Also when we walked in the room roaches were crawling everywhere in both rooms. Horrible place. Stayed at the Ramada on the island for the same price they were charging.
- NORMA (2/5): - Bed bugs.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room was a great size except for the kitchen that didn't work. I was told they weren't being sold like that but the online pictures clearly show a kitchen and it's only one microwave for the entire property! It's very close to the Island also which is a huge plus.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - If yoi are looking for an expensive crack house hotel this is it
- Joe (4/5): Lacking Maintenance - We didn’t even stay. After entering the room for the first time we noticed it was too humid to breathe. There were pronounced black stains in the bathroom ceiling and there were plenty small roaches. On the bright side my money was reimbursed with no questions asked.
- Denisse (4/5): Was a waist of money and not worth it. - Is not worth 😕 it. The rooms are dirty, stains in towels, and in everything. The microwave dirty. The refrigerator didn't get cold. The room was hot. The bathroom have mold. Blood stains and hair everywhere. I stay just because was to late to get something else. The room don't have fire alarm.
- Rocio (2/5): - Cockroach infested!😡
- Juans (2/5): - No tv remote mattress will tip over if not on the middle , room looks like it it’s coming apart furniture looks old too much for this hotel not worth the money Dont Stay will like some of my money back oh also they didnt want to give me a receipt why I don’t know
- Verified traveler (6/5): -
lLa locacion esta muy bien los cuartos estan grandes el bano pero la limpiesa estubo muy terrible estube 3 dias y nunca sacaron la basura
- Verified traveler (6/5): Dated and overpriced - The room was large but not very up to date or in good repair. Not very close to SPI so the price should reflect the condition of the property...very poor.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It was the nastiest place ever. Smelled like piss. Room was super dirty. Broken cheap furniture. Even the pool was green and gross. The room was moldy and humid. Over all, worst hotel ever
- Verified traveler (10/5): great place - we had a great stay at the hotel, price was also affordable, worth the hour drive to stay the night. we didn't want to leave it was such a great room and beds were comfy as well.
- Aylin (2/5): Never returning to this hotel again! - I didn’t not appreciate how early they room service was knocking on our door. Especially opening our door while we were still asleep, even thought checking out was at 11 a.m they were opening our door at 8 which made me very angry. Our door wouldn’t even lock because it wouldn’t close good. The bathroom were dirty and the tub was clocked.
- Rebecca (2/5): Horrible - The room was filthy not swept. The sheets wasn’t clean. The front door didn’t lock we had put a chair in front of it. We had to kill roaches. There was a lot of mosquitos my child swelled up from it. When we told the man at the front desk he did not care what so ever. The housekeeping lady just walked into our room while we were changing and didn’t wait.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Pool is clean and big.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice - Very nice place front desk man super nice all around comfort
- Jessica (4/5): - Floors felt like they could collapse right underneath you, weird musty smell.
- Gareth (4/5): A bit of a mixed bag - Let's get the problems out of the way. The room was dusty. The vent in bathroom didn't work. The advertised "kitchenette" was a single fridge and nothing else. Small roaches were a regular appearance. One closet was missing the bar so there was nothing to do with it but stack suitcases, I guess.
And this isn't really the hotel's fault, but given it's "pet friendly" I need to mention that when you walk your dog in this neighborhood you are going to run into at least six dogs just roaming around. Depending on your dog this may be a problem.
Some things were a mixed bag or otherwise fine, though. The bed was very firm--good for my wife, bad for me. Our stay was quiet. Pool was clean and easy to use. The wifi was very consistent and quick!
- Min (6/5): - Pillow has blood stains, bed sheet was dirty and has hair that it’s not belong to us. No ice machine, Shower curtain have black mold spots. It’s not worth what We paid for ,
- alisonh8585 (2/5): Get what you pay for - Upon entering the room it had an unusual smell ... not sure if it was mold /mildew?
*Did not see any water damage in the room itself *
After reading other reviews i decided to inspect the room closer i started by checking the mattress for any evidence of bed bugs which i did not see anything and the sheets looked clean so i thought well... okay but then .......
We started seeing some dead bugs laying around on the floor and upon further inspection we realized they were dead cockroaches
When checking the bathroom the underside of the toilet seat was still dirty from previous guests and we noticed little cockroaches crawling in the drain and knob of shower/ tub
*also only 1 set of towels were in room upon check in*
We check out of that room and were given another room ... 2nd room same set up as 1st no dead or living bugs scurrying around until midnight when my husband saw a HUGE cockroach go into a crack in the wall next to AC unit
If you are looking for basic cheap and close to South Padre Island then i guess this the spot for you - personally i don't mind basic, cheap & some what clean but cockroaches are a Big No Go for me - we left
- Rola (2/5): - Room was nice and clean but thru out the night I had gotten bitten by bugs and felt it crawling on me don’t think I’ll stay there no more …
- Sheri (6/5): Never again.. - The room smelled bad like mildew, the bath was not a bath only can take a shower, the ac didn’t work that good & the refrigerator didn’t work that good either. We would never stay there again. Was a little to Ghetto for us.
- Pamela (8/5): - The room is falling apart, pillows are very uncomfortable as well
And shower has barely any pressure
- Connie (6/5): Good staff, but the room is nasty - The room is nothing like the pictures, it was a badly shaped hotel room i was disappointed but notbing i could do about it.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - It was noisy hard to sleep dirty and the parking was very crowded
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible experience - At first they could not even find my reservation, even tough they charged me and I showed them the confirmation number. Then, when we finally the room, it was horrible. Stained sheets dirty floors, dirty bathroom and bathroom curtains. The place is bad. To charge $232 per night and for the rooms to be like that, it was just horrible.
- Brittney (2/5): Misleading - This hotel is horrible. The rooms are not the same as the ones that are presented. The photo shown has to be from when the hotel was first built.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Ty✨
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Walked into room first thing I noticed was the moldy smell and mess on the floor. Beds were dingy and pillows smelled. I walked out and got lysol spray to try to get rid of smell. We did not even stay 5 minutes before we decided to leave rooms. We traveled back into Harlingen to get room in a clean and safe hotel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Place was completely horrible. Just to start the place look bad from the outside need paint and a lot of work in the facilities. #2)Parking lanes are too tight to park two full size vehicles next to each other.#3)Rooms smell bad.#4)Rooms are dirty. #5)bedding sets and towels with stains.#6)Stove was dirty
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It was dirty the only thing good was the pool other than that no
- JaMozyia (4/5): - Key would take too long to work, and one of the guys in the front office was completely rude. The other was nicer.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We had a great time but the towels were stained and dirty. The chain on the door was broken but the main lock worked fine.
- Denni (2/5): - This is the worst place I have ever stayed! The door safety lock didn't work plus the safety catch had been broken off. The replacement room had a bathroom sink that had fallen out of the vanity and one leg of the nightstand was broken off and propped against the bed. Still better though as the door locked and the safety catch worked!!
- Pedro (2/5): - Room smell like mold the ac didnt work and we stay all but an hour there.we couldnt gdt refund they refused to give us it
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Room was out dated, tv didn't work, bed was worn so badly in the middle that we rolled to the middle of the bed when we layed down. The door lock didn't lock from the inside! Parking was horrible! You could barely park, the parking lot was so tight that I could not get my truck door open enough to get out. Rooms are not the ones shown in photos. My Brother-in-law had a room at the same location and his room was slightly better than ours.
- Jose luis (8/5): - Ok for the price bot great
- Vincent (2/5): Garbage hotel with garbage employees - Booked this hotel after a long day of fishing. I paid for a king room on the app and was headed to the hotel when some rude p.o.s. from the hotel called to tell me that they didn't have the room i booked because they overbooked but that i could have another for an extra $30. I told him it was not my fault that they overbooked and that they should honor the price. He said no. When I told him that wasn't very good customer service his response was "i didn't even need to call you to tell you we didn't have the room." I asked to speak to the manager and he said there wasn't one on duty. Complete trash. I do not recommend!
- Kristina (6/5): - Last min and everything was booked. It worked to sleep
- Jennifer (6/5): - I enjoyed my stay just wish the pool was in better conditions. I was very dirty and full of slim on the bottom after attempting to use i was very itch.
- Ismael (2/5): dont stay here - Fridge didn’t work and the ac was so loud I couldn’t sleep , very disappointed
- Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointed wouldn't recommend it. - I was given room 101 bathroom tiolet tank had no water. There was no tiolet paper. I went to complain that i was not happy with the room. He then gave me room 103. The key to open the room didnt work so i didnt have a key. to open or close the room. Cleaniless could of been cleaner bed sheets & comforter didnt smell clean & towels.
- Yesenia (4/5): - I didnt like the swimming pool very dirty the water amelles and lookes green
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The property was old and needed lots of work, ac unit barely blew air had to move rooms twice.
- Jafari (2/5): - That place is a real dump, they should be paying YOU to stay there. Please don’t go there, it’s bad news.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Not one thing noise all night had to check out and leave to another hotel
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The tv didn’t work, the sink in the bathroom didn’t work!
- EliGuz (10/5): - it was nice and clean. spacious room. very worth your dollar.
- Michell (2/5): Worst hotel. - The place was disgusting. Room smelt moldy, sheet filthy, rat feces on the floor. Not clean at all property was dirty, garbage e everywhere. The place does not look like the photo online more like third world country accommodations. This place really needs a complete make over. We did not stay. The staff Alex was very very nice. Thank you Alex for helping us.
