Guest Reviews
- João Miguel Dias (10/5): - Good place close to Park entrance.. Nice bungalows. Nice pool. Good late check out time. Needs some light at night to walk to bungalows.. i was shit scared walking a night.. i think i saw a jaguar eyes looking at me.. maybe was a deer, never know
- Senja (10/5): - Wonderful service, great food, location unbeatable, very clean, pool is amazing in the heat. Would recommend! No ac.
- Rodrigo (10/5): - Ubicacion. Nada
- John (6/5): -
- Leonie (5/5): - Swimming pool areas was nice. Location was good. Shower was terrible!!! Shower floor was slimy.
There was roof construction room occurring in the ceiling above our room. If the management want to do this they shouldn't use the affected rooms.
The room is generally a bit run down.
- Marieke (8/5): Heel mooi verblijf!

- Lin (9/5): Amazing to watch coatimundi outside cottage - Easiest visit Tikal Temple by your own pace; very good restaurant,so much options ! Beautiful environment none
- Jeremy (9/5): Great place when visiting Tikal - Peaceful and relaxing lodging which is super convenient when visiting Tikal. The staff is very friendly, the restaurant is good and the swimming pool large and a welcome refreshment.
- Ellen (9/5): We enjoyed our stay! - Staff spoke excellent English, was very professional and helpful, arranged a private driver for us and gave good suggestions. The pool was clean and easy to use. A friendly place! Nothing
- Martin (8/5): -
- Jonathan (8/5): Location and pool fantastic but no hot water of fish and over priced shuttle mean it does not fulfil its potential. - The location and the pool were fantastic. Incredible location for Tikal and the bungalow was lovely apart from the lack of hot water. There was no hot water in our room for two days.
All the fish options from the menu were not available during our stay.
The hotel shuttle bus was literally twice the price of other shuttle buses making the exact same journey!
- Myranda (9/5): Perfect and close to the park entrance - I was incredibly lucky to be upgraded to a bungalow, because of renovating my room. Absolutely loved the place, with the spider monkeys already showing off in the garden.
- Barrera (8/5): - Very convenient location. The room was clean and very comfortable.
- Tiziano (7/5): -
- Marie-Claire (8/5): - The staff should smile more.
- Katrin (9/5): Cosy stay close to nature - We stayed in one of the bungalows. The bed has a mosquito net, which is a big plus! The shower was hot, the bed comfortable. You can hear the monkeys at night and see all kinds of animals running around, which we loved. The pool could be cleaner, the water was green, but it was still okay for swimming. Breakfast is not included, which maybe, for that price, could be included.
- Andreas (8/5): -
- Adela Alexandru (5/5): Friendly Staff but Frustrating Extras and Outdated Comfort - The location is great if you’re planning to visit Tikal, and the reception staff were genuinely friendly and helpful throughout my stay, which I really appreciated.
they don’t charge extra for card payments One issue I had was with the tour they offered. I paid 200 quetzales expecting a more tailored experience, but in reality, I was just added to a much larger group of about 25 people coming from Flores. It felt misleading and not great value for money. When I told the receptionist about that he said we were supposed to be just the people from the hotel, but that's doesn't change anything.
The room was another downside. It got quite cold at night, and I had to sleep wearing a hoodie and use both the bed cover and bedsheet to stay warm.
There were also some frustrations with the restaurant billing. They automatically add a 10% service charge ( I know in some countries that's the rule, but it's not the case for guatemala) I asked for it to be removed on the first day, and although the waiter agreed, it led to an awkward interaction where I felt I had to justify myself. Then at checkout, the 10% had been added again, and I had to explain the situation all over. On the second day, I just paid it to avoid the hassle, but it was frustrating. I prefer clear, upfront pricing rather than having to check and recalculate percentages.
- Sam (7/5): - Proximity to Tikal National Park was fantastic. Pool looked nice. We were told we had to get two rooms for our family, as our infant couldn’t share a bed with adults. One of the rooms we were then given was 3 beds - 2 doubles and a single. We were made to pay an additional room for no reason.
We asked for towels for the pool and was told they would be delivered to us as the pool as they had to get them. They were never delivered.
- Nicole (9/5): -
- Mihai (9/5): very convenient place for Tikal early visit - Great place, on generator power, it takes a little adjustment the staff was very nice and spoke great English. but why did the night staff have a loud reunion at 4 am apparently oblivious to the fact that they have a guest next door???
- Tiia (9/5): Lõõgastav koht argielust eemal. - Väga ilus ja mugav koht. Bungalo on väga armas, mille ees saab istuda. Bassein on puhas. Dushi otsik kukkus ka ära, kuid see tehti korda kiiresti. USB otsik toas ei laadinud. Selle peavad nad ära parandama.
- Suzette (10/5): An unforgettable jungle stay made special by outstanding people and a brilliant guide. - The kindness around our early check-in was hugely appreciated. Roxie, the owner, is a rock star, and Jessica, who took us on the dawn tour, was exceptional, honestly the best guide I’ve ever had. Manager Spencer and staff Harry and one other / can't remember his name were all 🥰 people with excellent English. Being right in the jungle is a unique and special experience, the staff were lovely, the food in the restaurant was fresh and good, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Being in the jungle does come with its challenges, so the property isn’t pristine in the way a city hotel might be, but that’s part of the setting rather than a fault.
- Maria (10/5): Recomendable - La ubicación. La amabilidad del personal Sin comentarios
- Romain (8/5): Perfect location - The location is very convenient, 2 min walking from the park entrance. The staff was very friendly and spoke perfect English. The wifi was strong ..
- Kris Mainland (8/5): Cool hotel inside the Tikal park. - It is wonderful to stay inside the park, and the hotels ambience is unique and attractive “jungle.” Although it would not normally be a problem otherwise, not having electricity for our departure before dawn turned out to be a problem because there was no light.
- Andrew (8/5): - Location and helpfulness of staff in setting up my tours in the park My actual room was by entrance, so got disturbed early morning when guests did sunrise tour at 4am, irbkedt hotel early
- Rachel (10/5): Cozy jungle bungalows in a perfect setting! - The location was perfect, just a short walk to Tikal. Awakened in the night by Howler Monkeys. Nice pool to cool off after our walk through the jungle ruins. Good restaurant. Electricity turns off at night so we could enjoy the dark sky--the stars were amazing!
- Millie (10/5): Really enjoyed our stay! - Loved the pool and all the wildlife that was around the area. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great. Shower had good water pressure with hot water!
- Paul (8/5): -
- michelle (9/5): Great hotel close to tikal - Close to Tikal, really helpful staff Electricity goes off at night so the room was warm without the fan
Mosquito net didn't reach all around the bed
- Byron (10/5): Perfect choice we were a couple exploring ancient Tikal - Pool, location, super clean
- Bruno (9/5): - Great location near Tikal. You can walk to the National Park. Great swimming pool. A little bit more attention to the restaurant: there was no Coke Zero, no good wine.
- Richard (8/5): Good for a short stay - We booked the transfer shuttle and it worked like clockwork. The room was fine - basic but as expected. The fan worked all night and charging available provided you have a old style USB. Restaurant food was basic but again given the location, was fine. The toilet cistern took forever to fill up so flushing was a problem. We were told this was normal, but given water supply was fine in the rest of the bathroom why not provide a bucket! Pool seemed murky but couldn’t be sure if it was the water or the lining
- Joop (9/5): Heerlijk verblijf vlakbij ingang Tikal park - Mooie stille locatie tegenaan de jungle. Zwembad aangenaam. Ruime kamer/lodge. Prima ontbijt.
- Teresa (10/5): Exotic and cozy. A dreamy paradise in the heart of the jungle. - I love the pool and the restaurant!
- Rosemary (9/5): - Excellent location to explore Tikal. Friendly, polite and helpful staff. Excellent food. Everything was good
- Julie (10/5): Fantastic facility ! -
- Michael (8/5): -
- Michèle (9/5): -
- Carlos Filipe (10/5): Pleasant hôtel - All was fine
- Clare (9/5): Highly recommended - Ideal location for visting the Mayan temples, especially at sunrise and sunset. The pool was lovely, the staff were friendly and helpful. Jessica, the guide organised by the hotel was excellent.
- Juan (10/5): - The location inside the park
- Bill (9/5): - The wildlife. Sitting outside the cabin we saw two acouti run past, an agouti, two Russet naped wood rails landed at my feet. Spider monkeys, vultures and loads more. Nice swimming pool and very informative manager about the wildlife. And of course the location, 100m from the site entrance. Great sandwiches for lunch. Huge 😃 The evening meals were a real disappointment after the lunch, trying to do western food.
- Ole (9/5): -
- Katarina (9/5): - Great experience, nice rooms, great service. Too hot in the room
- Susan (7/5): - In the park easy access for sunrise tour with their guide Hot water 24 hr power in reception wifi worked well Restaurant expensive with huge servings not able to finish(better if smaller and cheaper) Unable to get coffee after breakfast Bungalows close together so can hear neighbours
- Juan (10/5): - The location and staff I was overcharged for the hotel transportation
- Paul (7/5): A cheaper but acceptable hotel for a stay within the park. - It is one of three hotels next to each other and the park entrance so very convenient. Friendly staff and receptionist had good English. Planned periods of no electricity for much of the time as it’s in the jungle (although my friends stayed in Jungle Lodge which did have power).
- Laurel (9/5): Eco resort is preferable for me despite some small details comforts - Close to Tikal to
Walk around into entrance. The pool. Was terrific I bit older but still comfortable beds. The lack of hot water in my room maybe an issue if it’s cool and rainy like today. But this is an eco resort off grid. The first day here was so hot humid air was as happy for a cool shower.
- Jeremy (8/5): -
- Caroline (9/5): Great hotel right next to the park. Lovely pool and garden - This hotel was in an amazing setting with a lovely garden and pool. The room was all great and comfortable - we weren’t there for long.
Only one tiny criticism, the food just lacked slightly - packet granola, very sweet yoghurt, fruit fine but not overly generous for the price. Scrambled egg was lovely though. I just thought for the price (understandably a bit more as it’s pretty remote), the food good have been a higher standard. But it’s a lovely hotel and good value, tiny distance from the park. And our guide in Tikal, organised through the hotel, was excellent! The food could have had slightly more flair considering the price and to match the hotel standard
- Sigrid (10/5): - Gute Lage. 5 Minuten vom Eingang Tikal. Schöne Anlage. Gutes Essen. Personal spricht gutes Englisch.
- Maciej (10/5): -
- Clive (8/5): Nice to be surrounded by wildlife - Great location A bit expensive
- David (10/5): - It’s very closed to the Tikal Park entrance 。
- Helen (9/5): Amazing Location. Very Special - Check-in was fantastic. Very good English spoken and very clear instructions on everything you could possibly need to know.
We had a bungalow next to the pool, which was large, 2 beds, and ensuite. A USB charge port. You can charge in the restaurant during certain hours and at any time behind the reception desk. Drinking water is available at all times. Beer is very reasonable priced.
Breakfast was really good, evening meals not as good in our opinion.
The pool is clean and very welcoming. The grounds are beautiful, and we saw many birds, monkeys, and coatie just around the pool.
We used the hotel guide, Nixon, for a sunrise tour, and he was fantastic.
The hotel arranged for the collectivo to pick us up at our desired time when we left for Q50 each.
We wished we had planned more than our 3 nights for the wildlife. Noise from other guests travels.
- TravellerJeff (7/5): It served my needs for a quick visit to Tikal. Staff was super friendly. - The food was just OK. And, as advertised, being located in the park, there were no other options. Seeing as how the hotel crowd was a captive audience, the food was more expensive than equivalent might have been elsewhere. The shower didn't drain well, so I ended up standing in 3" of water while showering. Wifi was non-existent in the room, and slow in the common area, so I had a hard time staying in touch. Not totally unexpected, but travelers should be aware.
- Helmut (9/5): For the location and the food, I would stay here again - Location, staff, size of the room and restaurant food.
Try their frozen margaritas! Fantastic The room is very run down. They should be charging less. So it's hard to give high points when the room is like this, but at least there were other good things.
- Frans (9/5): -
- Richard (8/5): Lovely jungle setting - Lovely garden, peaceful.setting, lots of birds, decent food, very helpful and friendly staff Room.fine but rather dated. Shower more a tap thana shower. But it is in the jungle so you cannot expect 5*!
- Maria del Pilar (7/5): - The locarion was excelent We couldn't connect our cellphones in the room
A to kłamstwo. Standard łazienki katastrofa. Ogólnie dałbym temu hotelowi max 2 gwiazdki właśnie przez łazienkę
