We had a peaceful stay at Cosy Guest House, Jodhpur, near the railway station and walkable distance from Mehrangarh Fort. The guest house involves a steep climb from Novchowkia Street, but signboards guided the way. The street was dirty and congested, but the charm of the guest house changed everything.
The room was worth the price: air-conditioned, traditional Rajasthani decor, blue windows, spacious with a double bed, bath towels, blankets, shampoo, and soap. Water was served on request. It had a table, teapoy, and chair.
The rooftop restaurant served good food at reasonable prices, with beautiful artwork. The owner and staff were helpful, and we got great views of Mehrangarh Fort and the blue city. The owner helped us navigate the fort when we got lost. Interestingly, the book lovers can check out the owner's collection at the reception.
Uber costs ₹70-80 to reach Cosy, but autos outside the station would charge ₹200. We struggled to find Ubers in Jodhpur, and autos charged more if we don't bargain.
Cosy Guest House offers good rooms at a reasonable price with good hospitality, near Mehrangarh Fort.

- Lauren (9/5): Peaceful stay with a great view! - Really nice view of the fort. In a quiet area part of the blue city and not too far from the station!
- YUSUKE (10/5): -
- Janusz (7/5): For fit guests... - Hostel is not accessible by car, from the main street there is a good walk (200 m at least?) uphill and sometimes even upstairs through the labyrinth of small passages. It is well marked but could be exhausting especially if you are carrying baggage.
Rest is rather standard for such cheap place, with the exception of nice rooftop restaurant with the view on the fort. WiFi, cleanliness, staff is OK. Single room was very small and another 3 floors up. Fort is only 1 km walk from hotel, but also quite uphill.
- Anonymous3454 (9/5): Good authentic old town experience - Polite staff, good food, nice vibe with other travelers good location if you want something more authentic in the old city. View was great. Most were fine but there are a lot of stray dogs nearby in the narrow streets

- Chiara (10/5): Best view and amazing hearty food! - This guesthouse in Jodhpur is a fantastic place to stay in the heart of the Blue City. The terrace is truly incredible, offering stunning views of Mehrangarh Fort, especially beautiful in the early morning and at sunset. It’s the perfect spot to relax and take in the atmosphere of the city.
The food is amazing, freshly prepared, and full of flavor—some of the best meals we had in Jodhpur!
The guesthouse itself is very nice, clean, and comfortable, with a warm and welcoming feel.
What really stands out is the hospitality. The hosts are kind, attentive, and always happy to help with recommendations or anything you might need. A wonderful stay that combines great food, an unbeatable view, and a perfect location. Nothing!

- Audoux (10/5): - Great room great price
- Constança (10/5): - Very cosy place indeed. The staff is really friendly and kind. It’s clean, comfortable and matches what is shown. So it’s perfect for the price asked. It’s not on a main road. For me was ok to walk 5 minutes up the hill in narrow and isolated lanes but it may not be for everyone.
- Veronica (10/5): First family guest house in Jodhpur. Very charming place 💙 - I loved staying at Cosy Guest House.💙The place is very charming and has a beautiful terrace, where you can taste delicious food while admiring the Mehrangarh Fort! ✨I loved also the fact that it was the first family guest house in Jodhpur!
- Gareth (10/5): Great stay - Very nice hotel with amazing views.. helpful staff, hot water.. Nothing of note. Menu was a little basic but isn’t really a restaurant.
- tino (9/5): Nice people, cosy place - Really nice place in a pretty crazy location up the hill. If you are physically fit, its easy and fun. There were a lot of street-dogs in the night fighting and making noise

- Arjun (10/5): - Amazing staff, comfortable stay
- Lea (10/5): Cosy stay in Jodhpur - Very nice blue room and such a beautiful view on the fort. Staff is very kind and helpful. Lovely place to stay in Jodhpur. I recommand.
- Silvia (7/5): - Very cosy and quite place to rest. Amazing view from the terrace. The owner cancelled the pick up 1hour before my arrival. I arrived 10pm at the bus station and as a solo traveller it was not ideal.
- Yashwant (10/5): - Uncle and auntie is pretty cool, Feedback Room space should little more
- Tripathy (8/5): -
- Ida (10/5): Fantastic guest house! - The staff were super helpful, particularly having put signs up to direct guests to the property. The rooftop was also fantastic with a view to the fort, and served delicious food. The location was brilliant - right in the heart of the old town!
- Prathamesh (4/5): - Roof top restaurant is good. The location of hotel is in locality surrounded by slums and full of garbage, cows and dogs on the road to the hotel.
The size of room is also too small.
Not recommend at all.
- Ann (7/5): - Worth the price. Staff was accommodating Google map pin is not accurate. My deliveries and drop off got many drivers confused
- Jade (8/5): - It was great. You have everything you need. The rooftop is beautiful with the view. It’s located in the old city which are calm and beautiful. Dog in the street can be a little stressful but the personnal assure your safety.
- Kanhaiya (7/5): Good - it’s good and reasonable price blue coloured
- Gabriel (10/5): Exceptional - I really enjoyed staying here. I think the price I payed for my own room and bathroom with AC was supremely reasonable, the facilities were clean and comfortable. The hostel has a great rooftop with a good view of the fort. I also thought the location in the old city was excellent, you definitely don't want to be in Jodhpur's "new" city.
I stayed here in mid April, so Jodhpur was supremely hot and being low season I was the only guest in the hostel. That's not their fault, but accordingly a special thank you to Diliv who kept the kitchen open for breakfast and dinner even though I was the only guest!
- Shrawan (10/5): BLUE PAINTED HOUSE WITH BEST FRESCO PAINTING -
- Ryan (8/5): Excellent value, very blue - Everything is blue, inside and out which was cool. Our room had amazing bedsheets. We had a little balcony which was nice as we saw monkeys. It gets loud at night due to dogs barking. For the price it’s a great deal and I’d stay here again.
- Leila (10/5): Feeling cozy at Cosy's! - We felt very cozy at Cosy's! The location is deep inside the Oldtown and its a pleasure having this spot as the base for a Jodphur stay. It makes you feel kind of local. The guest house itself is top! Clean, cozy, beautifully made. And you find good food in the restaurant. I can really recommend the place. And the Cosy-family is so warmly hearted, taking care of you!
- Federico (9/5): Very good - Nice guest house with a nice rooftop! Staff very kind and quiet area
- Sara (10/5): Highly recommended - Very central and very comfortable place.
The room was big and clean, the terrace has amazing views and the food is exceptional, the staff and the owners are very kind and helpful people. Highly recommended
- Jang (8/5): Very good -
- Titouan (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet and charming place in a local and peaceful neighborhood, close to the fort gate, very good and not spicy food, awesome roof top views... the rooms are quite small but so typical... and well worth the price !
Avoid the busy and touristy clock tower guesthouses, and choose this one.
- Cora (9/5): Wonderful! - Beautifully painted walls , very clean, nice roofrestaurant with views, good good and nice staff.
It is in the blues city on 15 minutes walk from fort and Zippline. Stairs are high for short legs, but that was my own choice.
- Bryony (8/5): Friendly hostel - Friendly and lovely people who work here!
The rooftop cafe with a view of the fort is very cool.
Quiet location away from the horns and cars.
Great value for money. It was all good.
- Elvira (10/5): Exceptional -
- Randi (10/5): Exceptional - Very beautiful hostel, central location, very friendly staff, sweet café with good food on the roof top. Could do our laundry there and also leave our backpacks for a night. Definitely would recommend this place 🌟
- Maxime (9/5): Superb - Great guest house. The owners and staff are welcoming, the place is cute and the view from the roof top is great!
The room was good, large bed, good shower.
Overall it's a great value, this place has a unique charm, we really liked it. The bed was a bit saggy and the room a bit dark. It's not an easy access either (the walk is pretty steep, not for the less mobile, but they do warn about it)
- Flavia (9/5): Nice location and friendly staff in Blue City. - Calm and quiet property and the staff is very friendly.
They have a terrace with a good view over the city, and the restaurant prepares tasty dishes. The sunlight hits you on your face in the morning, as there’s a “window (opening on the wall)” without curtains.
- Lukas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luke (8/5): Decent, thanks! - I really liked all of the staff. They were very nice and welcoming and I had a comfortable stay.
What absolutely makes the property is the two brothers on the top, who cook some amazing food, and for a good price too. You pay at the end and I had loads and the bill was accurate. Thank you!
It was also all very clean and the room was a great size! The location is nice by the fort, but if you arrive late at night the dogs nearby can be quite aggressive, and the streets are narrow! Narrow streets also makes it difficult for Tuk Tuk!
- M. (8/5): Pleasant and relaxed stay with great staff and restaurant - Interesting location near fort. Quite a climb to and within the guest house so need to be limber. Restaurant staff, atmosphere and food were wonderful Shower virtually didn’t work and bathroom very smelly from the drains. Quite noisy both inside and dogs at night
- Henry (10/5): Historic haveli minutes from the fort - Best hostel in Jodhpur! This building has been owned by the same familly that runs the hotel and restaurant now for 400 years! They can answer all your questions about the city. The rooms are clean, the location is near the fort, it is quiet, and the cafe is good. Stop looking at other places, book yoyr whole trip here and rest easy. Like everything in Jodhpur you must pay with cash. Be sure to have cash to pay for your trip.
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional -
- Korostina (9/5): Superb - this is a place with a very friendly energy. The manager of the place is very careful and helpful. They have a very nice rooftop cafe with pleasant prices and really good food. I have a very good after taste from this stay☺️🙏 This place is not good if you don't like stairs:) because it's located on a hill, you need to walk up to reach it. But this location is very close to the fort, for me it was more important.
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional - A great guesthouse a little walk away from the usual tourist areas so perfect for discovering the real charm of Jodhpur
- José (10/5): Best guesthouse in the Blue City - Cosy guest house is the oldest guest house in Jodhpur, in a building built hundreds of years ago and maintained perfectly.
My room was cosy and with character, the hostel has a very friendly atmosphere and the manager, Mr Joshi and the staff, brothers Prim, Dilleep and Bipin are extremely attentionate, friendly and welcoming.
The hostel is located in the middle of the blue city and the terraces offer impressive view to the fort and the city.
I wish for my next visit to Jodhpur a stay in Cosy Guest House. Thank you for making of my stay a memorable experience ♡
- Patrick (10/5): Nice guest house. - Cozy Guest house was my favourite hotel in Rajasthan. The rooms are very well decorated with hand painted Rajasthan painting on the walls which add to the charm. Rooms , bed linen and the towels provided are clean and the showers with hot water are also well presented. The views from the roof top restaurant are excellent as is the food that is served by the excellent cooks and friendly staff.
I really enjoyed my stay and wish I could have stayed longer.
Thank you every one at The cozy guest house fir a wonderful stay. I hope to return again soon. 🙏
- Haas (8/5): Good stay -
- Maya (9/5): Superb - Really enjoyed it here, love the art everywhere! Has a great restaurant and rooftop views of Jodhpur. Clean and the staff are nice, good location
- Nikhil (7/5): Good -
- Bai-ou (10/5): Lovely and comfortable stay! - Lovely rooftop space! Wonderful and kind waiters/staff. The bedroom was comfortable and very good value for money! Would really recommend Cosy Guesthouse!
- Steve (10/5): Stairway to heaven - Amazing homely guest house with great staff and the best potato curry on the planet! My cute roof top single room was perfect with hot water shower and a spectacular rooftop terrace with the best view of the blue City and fort🙏 Many thanks🙏 Nothing
- Dustin (10/5): Friendly, relaxing, we even extended our stay two more days. I would stay here again and again. - Off the main road, so much quieter than some other places. Rooms were perfect for backpackers looking for basic accommodations. Very clean. Property looks well kept. Staff is wonderful. Food is good. Rooftop view is great. There was nothing I didn’t like, but as a suggestion I would say more comfortable seating for relaxing on rooftop would be nice.
- Dilsha (8/5): Very good -
- Léa (10/5): Amazing!!! I recommend - I had the best stay, the homestay is amazing, super chill vibes and it is such a beautiful place to relax.
It is super well located, it is central but far from the noise of the city and the wifi works perfectly.
The place is really clean and the rooms are super spacious and quiet.
The rooftop is a big plus and it is amazing to practice yoga or to read there.
The owners are super nice and the food super good!!! nothing
- Gopsizm (8/5): Great stay, great hospitality, great location, worth the money - Property is veryyyyyy pretty as well as affordable. Its literalley cozy 💚 The fud was little expensive as it is veg only and the juices were not up to the mark
- Tanu (7/5): Good - Uncle was really nice.. Can be experienced for a day or two Food was a bit pricey
- Camila (10/5): Exceptional - The location is great and the staff is super friendly😀 all good
- Cato (6/5): Pleasant - Lovely place, room was very cute. The tuktuk’s can’t drop you in front of the place and after dark I didn’t feel comfortable as a woman by myself to walk the last part to the homestay.
- Aman (9/5): Just stay and explore Jodhpur ☮️ - Everything nice property well maintain Everything is good
- Santiago (7/5): Good -
- Britt (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent amazing property in great location and good value stay.
- Karen (8/5): Would recommend - Lovely guesthouse 15 mins walk from the Fort, 20 mins to the Clock Tower. Roof terrace has great views. Very friendly staff. Single room was very basic but that was reflected in the price. It wasn't a problem for me, but it is an uphill walk to get there, and there are quite a few steep steps.
- Jiali (10/5): It’s a great place for relaxing. - The best sunrise on the roof top of the guesthouse. Friendly and helpful owners and the staff…
Walking distance to most of the sightseeing places. None
- Oliver (10/5): I can recommend staying there - The staff was very friendly
I really liked the room - not a lot of things inside, but in my opinion it had a nice vibe
The restaurant on the roof top is great with good food
- Acharya (9/5): Superb -
- Love (8/5): Very good -
- Vaishnavi (9/5): A rooftop offering panoramic views of Mehrangarh Fort, the blue houses, or the city skyline would be a highlight, especi - I love the warm, personalized service from the hosts, making me feel more like a guest in someone’s home. none
- Dixit (7/5): Good -
- Pratik (7/5): Was there only for few hours but they upgraded our stay and made it amazing - Food and staff were very helpful and cooperative Hard to get to the location as we had big luggage bags
- Sim (10/5): Exceptional - Joshi family, Bipin and the other guy made our stay fantastic, the food was amazing and delicious, the room was comfortable and had all the necessary amenities.
The view from the rooftop is unbelievable, you would definitely enjoy your stay there.
- Rob (7/5): Good cheap getaway where you can just spend your days at the rooftop - Though the beds were not the most comfortable and our room felt like a dark alleyway with tiled walls, the rooms were in decent condition. Furthermore, the location is excellent—right in the depths of the Blue City, from where you can stroll along an upward pathway to the entrance of the famous Mehrangarh Fort. There are lovely views from the rooftop terrace and restaurant, where I did my morning yoga and enjoyed nourishing food. Lastly, much respect to the friendly staff, who do their very best to make you feel at home. The small common bathroom/toilet which didn’t have a sink, plus when customers in the room next door were talking at normal volume it felt like they were in my room.
- Yen (9/5): Superb - The staffs are absolutely friendly and with great smiles. The breakfast is good and clean. The wifi doesn’t always stay connected. The location of the guesthouse is not reachable by Uber nor Tuk Tuk. If comes with Tuk Tuk it’s closer to the guesthouse but still you will need to walk around 4mjnutes in an allee. Overall quite good accommodation
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - Very cheap and good value.
Walking distance from fort.
Excellent and friendly staff.
Delicious kitchen!
Views!
Clean room, strong wifi, shared bathroom clean. Nothing!
- Shinde (10/5): Exceptional -
