- JJ (1/5): Unprofessional - This place needs to be shut down stained beds and sheets paid for a king room and then had to pay more because we had one more guest which was bullshit our door didn’t work had to get the guy to come open our door because it wouldn’t unlock even with the key and light turning green. We stayed for two nights because I ended up paying over 400 dollars and he refused to give me a refund. But Saturday night our toilet wouldn’t flush anymore. By far the worst place ever and it needs to be shut down. EVERYTHING

- Monica Le (1/5): I didn't stay. This hotel has very bad reviews. It was advertised that the pool was opened. Lies. - Actually I did not stay at this hotel. When I reserved the room it was advertised that the pool was open. I even requested a room by the pool. Upon calling I was told the pool was closed. I even went to the hotel to verify and there was a lock on the pool. And the sign that was on the website was changed. It is false advertisement. It was advertised that the pool was open. The pool was actually closed with a lock on it. I took pictures. It is spring time going into summer. The pool should be open and clean. It should not have a 2 hour a day minimum per guest either. That isjust ridiculous

- Lisa (2/5): If it's the only hotel with rooms in Anniston, just head to the next town. - It had a bed and bathroom with running water. The only thing worse than the room was the Manager. The room smelled musty/wet/moldy, was dirty & had a big gap under the door. When I complained he replied "We do not guarantee 100% satisfaction!" "You booked the Royal Inn, what did you expect?". Our room was $370 for 2 nights. I told him it was NOT a cheap room & I expect it to be clean. He laughed & said "IT IS CLEAN!" We asked to cancel & he refused "No refunds!" was his response. Would not even let us cancel the 2nd night. I don't mind outdated but there is no reason they couldn't use Lyson & a magic eraser to clean the surfaces. He did give us a different room which smelled a little better but was no cleaner. We left after the 1st night even thought we paid for 2.

Room smelled of mold/mildew. Extension cords overloaded and lying on table. Mattresses out by the pool. Debris everywhere. Looked like it was condemned. Completely unsatisfactory.

- Ashley (10/5): - I read some got reviews prior to my stay and got a little worried, but after my visit I saw those were not accurate. The rooms were nice, and the staff was very understanding as far as the guests reviews go, you just need to communicate with the staff. We went down for an army grad and was having an hour to spend with our soldier and communicated that with the staff they was very friendly and understanding and didn’t charge us for a guest like the reviews claimed. I love the convenience of the kitchen, it really helped with younger kids. Thank you royal inn for your hospitality.

Someone kept setting their car alarm in front of our room all night. This was a bad experience for a night away from home for a small vacay.

The lady had told me 2 days in a roll that we had already been swimming and we hadn’t. They was very rude about the pool. We was there for a ball tournament and they was making kids cry up there it was uncalled for!!!

They talk to you like you’re trash all because of the pool. The rules should be made clear and posted BEFORE your stay. I paid almost $400 for 2 rooms for 2 nights each and was treated like trash because I got in the pool twice in one day. I feel like if I’m paying for a room with a pool there should be unlimited access to it, especially if there’s no one in there at the time.

We had to stay here because of a family function in Anniston Everything went great until check out. The little Indian lady was probably one of the rudest people iv encountered. We asked the night before to check out at 11. They said yes then the next day she was being extremely rude and making rude comments.

Someone went in to try to clean it and was unsuccessful. I knew someone went in because the cleaning spray was still left in the tub and the stains too. This is not professional at all and should have never happened in the first place.

I feel bad for his employees because I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. The facility is run down and smells bad because he allows smoking in the rooms.
