Guest Reviews
- Diane (10/5): Amazing place to stay in Sonoma - Beautiful accommodations. The Ledson is located in town and you can walk anywhere. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable of the area. We had wonderful meals at the local restaurants( Girl and the Fig and El Dorado ). There are many wine tasting in town or at nearby Wineries. The hotel has a wonderful wine tasting, free for hotel guest. There is parking in the back for guest. There is a nice outdoor porch setting at the hotel to enjoy. WE liked everything.
- MARK (9/5): We loved our stay at the Ledson Hotel. Staff were lovely and knowledgeable. - Pillows a little too soft for us.
Sower in room: Williams needs a little attention
- David (10/5): -
- Mark (10/5): One of the best hotels we've ever stayed in - Great location, facilities were fantastic and the parking was convenient. Wine tasting each day was great . Connor and Grant were fantastic . We toured the Ledson winery and it was amazing It was all great
- Lisa (9/5): Lovely hotel, perfect location. - This is an absolutely lovely hotel. The rooms were beautifully appointed, and the location cannot be beat. The staff was very nice. Very comfortable place to experience Sonoma. There are only six rooms in this hotel. Only three of them face the central square. I did not get one of those, mine faced the parking lot. I was surprised by a few things. Despite having a tasting room on the main floor, I was not offered a glass of wine on arrival. This would have been a nice touch. Also, I was surprised by how bad the shower head was. It sputtered out water, rather than a solid stream. When I complained, a very nice man came up and gave me a bottle of wine, but said there was nothing to be done about the shower head, (it needs to be replaced.) Finally, I was quite shocked to have paper cups for the coffee maker. He said that they started doing that during Covid. Not only are we beyond that, but we don't want to be reminded. Get some ceramic coffee mugs in there!

- markof579 (10/5): Birthday Celebrations at the Ledson Hotel! - Such a great hotel, small, quiet, great attention to detail, wonderful to have the Zina Hyde tasting room on the first floor. Conveniently located in the square making it walking distance to tasting rooms, dinners and ICE CREAM! oh and wonderful pastries near by!
- LauraandGary (10/5): The Perfect Venue for the Perfect Weekend! - This property is simply lovely, clean and sparkling and the staff is unfailingly courteous and helpful. The location is perfect for exploring the square, which is what we intended for this special weekend celebrating my husbands 80th birthday.
The rooms and really comfortable and the bed and bedding are divine - we both slept very well indeed!
- Catherine (8/5): Had a wonderful time. The staff was great - Would have liked a dresser for my clothes
- Matt (8/5): We very much enjoyed our stay at the Ledson and will be returning - The room and location were fantastic. Most definitely will come again. The set-up feels similar to a B & B. Very small staff and limited amenities.
- Terri (10/5): -
- Zixin (8/5): - very good

- Matthew (10/5): Perfect for visit to Sonoma - Very spacious rooms (only 6 total). Amazing architectural details. Great location right on the town square. Easy and free parking at the hotel. All was great
- Kevin (9/5): Great moderne hotel that looks 100 years old, big beautiful rooms, hot water, good wine tasting that is complimentary fo - Great location right in the town square. Close to so many great restaurants and wine tasting facilities. Nothing except front door not working at night and had to use back door in alley. Not a big deal for me but wife thought odd coming into hotel off alley.
- P571KBthomasn (10/5): 2025 family gathering - I solicited feedback from the entire family. Everybody agreed that Brandon Garcia and the entire Ledson team were amazing. Everything went very smoothly and was done very tastefully. The Frey House was amazing, the level of details thought through were appreciated. For example, the mattresses and the pillows in all of the bedrooms were extremely comfortable. The soaps, shampoo, and conditioner were also appreciated.
We hosted an extended family gathering Nov 6-9, 2925. Our family cannot give Brandon Garcia enough praise as well as the extended Ledson team behind the scenes. The Hotel, Frey House and Ledson guest house were all exceptional .
Morgan and Boyd (newlyweds) also wanted to give a special shout out on your ability to flex and accommodate. When Mark and McKenzie arrived at Ledson hotel and learned that their room had been canceled by another family member, you came through with an alternate Ledson property. Thank you!

- rossmD7238KC (10/5): Staying on the square in Sonoma - The location, accommodations and, and people there were all great. Thouroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff was very friendly knowledgeable and helpful. Our room was very clean and unique. We felt welcome the entire stay. The hotel was a great value for the money spent. We especially enjoyed the wine tasting at the end of the day on the outside patio.
- Mehrkens (10/5): Small but mighty when it comes to comfort and customer service! - We liked everything from the staff to our room. No complaint but definitely high praise. The staff went out of their way to offer recommendations. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. It’s been a long time since I slept that well.
- H6033TTkimm (10/5): Elegance in Downtown Sonoma - The Ledson Hotel is elegant. We loved our spacious and tastefully appointed room as well as the friendly service from hotel staff. Our stay included complimentary tastings at both the hotel's Zina Lounge as well as the beautiful Ledson vineyards in Kenwood. The hotel is right on the square in Sonoma with many great restaurant, wine tasting and shopping opportunities within walking distance. We also found some nature trails nearby. Highly recommended!!
- kelli (10/5): -
- Nicolette (10/5): - .
- Trenton (8/5): - Alex and Lucy were super helpful and what a lovely property. The interior is fantastic! My wife had issues with the electrical on 2 travel devices but she managed. And our shower light kept going on and off, presumably from the water vapor. Overall a terrific property and service, although quite high cost, so have high expectations.
- Angela (10/5): - The hotel was very clean and charming, conveniently located right in the plaza area. Free parking available on site. It was very quiet too. Couldn’t hardly tell that there were other people staying there.
- nelav630 (10/5): Always an amazing experience - Amazing. From the welcoming and friendly staff to the soft bath towels. Every time we stay it is an amazing experience. Love the location. Room cleanliness and wonderful wine tasting offered. Can’t say enough.
- Erik (10/5): - Great location and great hotel
- Brad (10/5): - A great one night stay in Sonoma. They offered free wine at the hotel and the sister location
- Amber (10/5): Beautiful, clean, and convenient property. - Close to everything - super central!
- Scott (10/5): - Best stay ever! Had a great time…. My left hands free alt j
- MichaelaM999 (8/5): Relaxing - Lovely visit. Peaceful surroundings. Delicious food. Friendly staff. Can sometimes get a good deal if discounts are available. Lovely surroundings to go for a little stroll after lunch. Silly that they have a 200 minimum word count to give a review!!
- Maps13936725077 (10/5): Exceptional hotel, hospitality and location - Absolutely beautiful, quiet, romantic boutique hotel with an excellent location on Sonoma Plaza within walking distance to numerous restaurants and shops. The GM Brandon was extremely helpful with everything from restaurant and wine recommendations to transportation. Alex provided an excellent wine tasting for us on the lovely front patio; she was knowledgeable about the Ledson wines and the family’s history. Housekeeping staff were polite, professional, friendly and kept our room clean and tidy. We will be visiting the Ledson Hotel again in the future and highly recommend it for couples traveling to Sonoma, CA.
- nataliesA2434HE (10/5): Perfect romantic Sonoma hotel - My husband and I stayed at the Ledson Hotel this past weekend to celebrate our anniversary. It was my favorite hotel we've ever stayed in and it's the perfect location in Sonoma. The entire hotel is beautiful, as was our room. There is so much character and attention to detail throughout this hotel, it is really something to see. Our room had a balcony overlooking Sonoma Plaza, which was a great place to enjoy coffee in the morning. We also enjoyed the jacuzzi tub in the room. The bathroom itself was very spacious and comfortable as well.
I also have to acknowledge the staff at the hotel and in Zina Lounge. They were so friendly and went out of their way to make our stay extra special. The whole experience was perfect, and I can't wait to go back!
- William (10/5): - Welcoming staff into a nice hotel in a great location. Staff checked with us after our first night and made us feel welcomed.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melissa (10/5): Can't wait to return! - I just liked everything Nothing
- Clyde (10/5): Exceptional -
- M (10/5): Best spot in Sonoma - Great location, amazing service (so well looked after) and excellent rooms.
- Glen (8/5): - Would’ve loved a breakfast included. They no longer have a restaurant or a full bar, but the rooms are incredibly beautiful and such amazing woodwork in the floors, rooms, etc. Elegant hotel
- Greene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hirsch (8/5): I wished I could stay a bit longer. - I checked in late and Brian texted me all I had to know
and do in the event that the reception was no longer available.
Since it was NY2025 eve, all establishments closed
earlier than usual. I needed more info on the workings of the TV,
the light fixtures, the message on the phone’s
blinking urgency but all other amenities were at
our fingertips,
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - Brandon was awesome! The firmness of the bed was perfect! The welcome glass of wine was much appreciated! We will be back!
- Charles (10/5): Amazing hotel in a great location - Great stay with my family. This hotel design and construction is amazing. There’s nothing bad about it. Walk out the door and everything in the square is steps away. Can’t recommend this place enough.
- Malgorzata (10/5): Exceptional - Rooms are beautiful, comfortable beds and great wine lounge. Location is in the center of the town, however very quite. there was no breakfast in the hotel, i wish they would serve breakfast there. There were a few caffes in the area.
- Leonardo (9/5): Wonderful--with a few ripples. - Amazing location, beautiful place, comfortable room, responsive and engaged staff. Wonderful. There were some malfunctions that were unexpected: The fireplace did not work, and it would have been a welcome addition. We mentioned it to staff but no effort was made to check it or fix the issue. There were two faucets in the bathroom and both leaked, one with a steady drip and the other one through the valve when opened. These were overall balanced by many positives but prevent us from giving the place and room our highest rating.
- Karen (10/5): Great location and staff, cool vintage looking building, large comfy room, parking. - I liked the location, the staff, the free wine tasting. It would have been nice if there was a little breakfast available.
- Nick (5/5): Lovely comfortable room but not a hotel as I would recognise. - Lovely comfortable room. Nice bathroom. Location on Sonoma Square. There were no hotel facilities. No coffee early in the morning outside the machine in our room. No staff to be seen after 6.30pm or at 7.15am as we checked out.
The bar was actually Tasting room for wine and occupied front of house. It closed at 6 and stopped serving at 5.30.
Felt rather soulless and uninvitimg.
- Tavis (10/5): - Beautiful building and rooms.
- Abbas (10/5): - Very unique
- ingridb550 (10/5): Wonderful!. - Wonderful location on the Sonoma Square. Amazing experience. Best bed ever! Couldn’t be happier. We could walk to everything. Great wine and ambiance in the late afternoon. Thank you! We will be back on our next trip to Sonoma or to the wine country.
- Ed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (10/5): - The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, with absolutely fantastic hardwood floors, nice small balconies that in some cases overlook the famous Sonoma square. Brandon, our host was very gracious and very helpful!
- Scg (10/5): We came to town to run the Napa to Sonoma half marathon, but staying here added luxury! - The location was perfect, right on the square in Sonoma. We sat on the balcony and sipped wine every evening. Brandon helped us choose and book a perfect itinerary of wineries, restaurants, and activities! Nothing, the whole trip was fantastic!
- Alexander (10/5): - Beautiful hotel and room. Very luxurious. Quiet. Balcony a bonus.
- Michelle (10/5): 10/10 would recommend, we won’t stay anywhere else in Sonoma now! - This place was amazing, the location itself would be enough to justify the price tag, but the hotel was absolutely beautiful. The rooms were comfortable, we never felt like anything was missing. And the staff were so fun and friendly! The only thing is I wish they served coffee earlier.
- delyse (10/5): - The hotel is luxurious. Dinner and show was within walking distance. The customer service was excellent. Brandon took his time to suggest restaurants and made reservations for the complimentary wine tasting at Ledson Winery. We bought their Zinfandel which is delicious. This is a great find and will be back annually
- Sykes (7/5): It met our requirements but I would not stay again - Perfect location, decent size room in good condition No facilities. Not very good value for money
- Sykes (7/5): Nice room but highly priced considering the overall experience. - Very comfortable room. Service very minimal - basically room only. No meals and lobby area closes at 5:30pm Public area/bar closes at 5:30pm. No meal facilities of any kind.
- Paul (10/5): - It was vary personal. There is only 6 room right on the square. Not good if you like room service though.
- Javier (10/5): Exceptional -
- F (10/5): Exceptional -
- richard (10/5): - Great location, very friendly staff, really comfortable room good coffee in the morning.
- Jonathan (10/5): - Everything was top notch!!!!!!! No complaints!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful hotel in Sonoma - Beautiful hotel in a perfect location to enjoy Sonoma. The room was full of charm and very comfortable with all the amenities we needed. The jet tub was lovely as well.
- Nicola (10/5): Fantastic boutique hotel in the heart of Sonoma - Great attention to detail and lovely location with very knowledgeable staff N/A
- Caitlin (10/5): - Had a great stay at the Ledson Hotel. Super convenient location in Sonoma Town Square close to all restaurants and shops with very comfortable room.
- Thomas (9/5): Superb -
- Kerri (10/5): Wonderful experience and highly recommended. - Enjoyed the property and how smooth all went. The convenience of having someone to text and meeting the person live was great too.
- Charles (10/5): - We had a great time - Only there for 2 days It was awesome Super nice and Brandon was awesome too .. Had a great time
- B4728GLedwardk (10/5): Nice little hotel on the square - beautiful little hotel with friendly service. The pairing of the hotel with wine tasting in the lounge is super special - Rob was great leading/educating us for the tasting. Being right in the square is lovely and convenient. Would do stay again and recommend the wine tasting experience too.
- B2684PKjimb (10/5): Relaxing Excellence. - It was a wonderful stay. It is a small 6 room hotel on Sonoma Square. So easy for walking to dinner or anyone of the 60 plus tasting rooms within a few blocks. They do have a lobby with wine tastings from approx. 11-4 during our stay. The weather was so nice and the hotel so relaxing (each room has a fireplace and jacuzzi tub). We asked if our room was available for one more night? Success we added a day! Rob and Brandon the two hosts were funny and very enjoyable to spend time with. I would highly recommend this for a nice quiet getaway.
- Paul (10/5): - Perfect for a romantic weekend.
- Patti (10/5): Wow. - A truly amazing gem of a hotel. It is stunningly beautiful and of so luxurious.
- Kasey (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing location and quiet, cozy rooms
- Thomas (10/5): - Fantastic rooms, and the location is unbeatable
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel was done so beautifully. Clearly an act of love and appreciation of the past. The tv did not work.
- Rpatch (7/5): Good - Clean comfortable rooms. Lovely staff. Coffee in the room is poor and only disposable coffee cups and water bottles.
- Michael (10/5): Fabulous Place to Stay - Ledson Hotel was exquisite from the sheets to the towels to the decor every detail was stunning, the woodwork and the marble WoW. Such a quiet place to stay with Zina Lounge below so you can have a cheeky glass of wine at lunchtime. Rob who showed us around was lovely and so helpful with showing us the wines they had at Zina Lounge he also told us to go to Ledson Winery which blew us away. The staff at the Winery were so helpful including Pablo who showed us around and told us all the family history, thank you all for making our stay so lovely. The only tiny thing was the plastic stirrers (first world problems I know) weren't very good could you do the wooden ones which are better. But everything was just amazing. Well done to the Ledson family (Employers and Employees).
- Lisa (6/5): - Very clean. Victorian style. Right in town. Practically no customer service. I read this in other reviews but my choices were limited by the time I booked a room. I didn’t realize how much this would affect my expectations. It seems insulting that the chairs on the patio would have wire cable going through them and cushions removed by 5 pm. The lobby is also shut down, no place to go except for your room. . Customers staying on this property seem to be an inconvenience to the owners/management. I would never recommend this Inn to anyone especially at the price point. The manager leaves at 5:30. To improve the quality of the stay would mean hiring someone to work for 5 hours a day to
Just watch the patio and lobby for guests only. Sad that this misses the mark on guest experience.
- Nancy (10/5): Very enjoyable. - Decor was beautiful.
Felt like we were in Downton Abby. What’s not to like.
Would have preferred real coffee cups in the room. Other than that. “Perfect”!
- cary (8/5): - The condition of the property and staff were excellent, however I would have prefered a full-service hotel. I didn't realize that the lobby closes at 6pm.
- Mandy (10/5): Exceptional - It was very clean. Everyone was extremely helpful and accommodating. Loved the location and the quaintness of the hotel and area.
- Blumenfeld1211 (10/5): SClass, architecturally stunning getaway on Sonoma Square - We loved this small hotel with just 6 rooms. The room was large and beautifully appointed with a large marble bathroom, jacuzzi tub, marble fireplace, balcony, high ceilings and wood floors. We love the architectural elements of both the room and the facility with beautiful woodwork, marble, and inlaid wood floors. The bed was great, as were the linens. All in all, a classy, romantic getaway and good value. Our rate also included a free wine tasting in the tasting room downstairs. The wines were excellent.
- DONNA (10/5): Wish I could give it 6 stars - Ledson Hotel is one of the best places I’ve stayed. The room are meticulously decorated to reflect the era they are representing. It is a small hotel, only 6 rooms so it almost feels like you are staying at a house rather than a hotel. No loud lobby or crowded elevators. Let’s not forget the balcony overlooking Sonoma Square. Added bonus for sure. Surrounded by restaurants, wine bars and cute little shops. Perfect place to stay a night or two
- Sallie (7/5): Good -
- sandra (10/5): - Beautiful property
- Ron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arthur (10/5): excellent staff! - location and parking area nothing
- Michael (9/5): Superb - High quality everything
- Dustin (10/5): Beautiful room right situated with off the town square. Couldn’t ask for a better location -
- Deborah (9/5): Loved it. Would stay again. - The rooms were very tastefully decorated and roomy. Hotel manager very responsive to any inquiries. Excellent location A/C wasn’t strong enough to keep room cool.
- LedsonLover (2/5): Disappointed - We’ve been coming here for years. Each year is a little more disappointing. There used to be a lovely breakfast and interesting bartenders. It’s obvious the former gentleman who “ran” the place is no longer there. He was amazing. We visit every 3-5 years. Will not return. But wish them the best!
- Valerie (9/5): Superb -
- Roving53003814135 (10/5): Great Option for visiting the wine country - Beautiful hotel rooms, well maintained and equipped, WI-FI very slow but workable. Keep in mind the front desk closes at 5:00 with the wine tasting room (which is lovely as well as the patio on the square) so if you arrive later or need something after that hour, they provide an after-hours contact for access. Excellent value (especially compared to many other Sonoma/Napa Valley hotels and inns.
- belladonna01 (8/5): Lovely region, small property on the main square - We recently stayed at this property for 3 nights. The hotel is small, exceptionally well maintained and located on the main square. One thing of note is that the hotel is not staffed at night and you may need to determine if this is important to you.
The wine tasting downstairs was very enjoyable and we drove up to the Ledson Winery and it was rather impressive.
- Smith (10/5): Exceptional -
- 979robyns (10/5): Beautiful hotel!! - The Ledson Hotel is an absolute gem right in downtown Sonoma off the park. My husband and I just returned from a wedding weekend in Sonoma and booked the Ledson months ago.
So glad we did! I would describe this as a small luxury inn (only 11 rooms) beautifully appointed and comfortable. The manager Brandon and his associate Rob are the BEST! So friendly and accommodating and provided us with guidance and recommendations for lunch (although we were busy with wedding events).
I would not hesitate to rebook with them on our next visit to Sonoma which hopefully will be soon!
- Gerry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Glenn (9/5): Beautiful room and a nice quiet stay. - Very nice facility and right in the heart of Sonoma, so within walking distance of several restaurants and wine tasting rooms. Really enjoyed having a wine tasting included in the price of the stay. A little strange to have the bathtub in the bedroom instead of the bathroom.
- Jose (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
