- Bradley (6/5): -
- Geoff (6/5): decent, it's an inner city hostel, staff are doing their best :) - Free wifi in lobby was nice, 24h check in was nice, bed was decently comfortable and room was decently warm on a cool night, cheapest price for a fair night's sleep Kind of a rough crowd with respect to some of the clientele, there's a front kind of gathering room that seemed to be a hangout for some down and out peeps, I didn't shower there but remember that bathrooms were not somewhere I wanted to hang out, also would have loved a breakfast offering but hey beggars can't be choosers

- Graham (1/5): Worst Hostel - Nothing I did not stay, spoke to staff at reception told me not much he could do! Room was the worst I would of stayed in, the place is dirty seems like they have permanent residents or homeless people living there
- Boniface (7/5): - Provide breakfast Bathroom
- daniel (10/5): Elizabeth hostel - Cheap 24/7 great location and facilities on each level.. full kitchen and a walk in fridge that you can leave food and cook

- sujina (2/5): - Location All dirty. Not a clean bathroom, shower, beds
- Ayesha (1/5): Dirty unhygienic rundown and not worth the money. - Very very dirty and unhygienic. Very old and run down. The room had a small fan but there was a ridiculous amount of dust on the fan the plant was too small for the bed.
- Elijah (8/5): -
- Eryl (3/5): Horrible bed bugs bite hard hungry fiends. Unclean. - It's near McDonald's and Vic market. It was infested with bed bugs and I got bitten severely. The whole entire motel needs a good bug eradication. The rooms need thorough cleaning and washing machine facilities need to be free not costly.
- Riley (1/5): Horrible - Noting full junkies and thieving people and mangers are horrible they won’t help you with anything there not even place cook u dont have any plates no cooking essentials

- Emilie (1/5): - Good location Not clean, felt like I was going to get bed bugs. Smelt bad walking down corridor to room. My partner used the men’s room and there was blood and pee on the floor. Don’t go here unless desperate.

- Andrea (1/5): DON’T GO - Nothing I had a very disappointing experience at this hostel and would not recommend it.
From the moment I arrived, the reception staff were extremely unpleasant and unhelpful, which made check-in uncomfortable. Unfortunately, things only got worse from there. The bed sheets were dirty and covered in stains, which is completely unacceptable and made me question the overall hygiene of the place.
The entire hostel had a strong, unpleasant smell, and all the facilities appeared poorly maintained, dirty, and worn down. It was clear that cleanliness and upkeep are not a priority here.
To make matters even more concerning, someone tried to enter my room in the middle of the night, which made me feel very unsafe.
Overall, this was a very negative experience. I would strongly advise others to consider alternative accommodation.

- Emily (1/5): - I was in Melbourne just for one night for the 2026 kpop festival, around 230ish in the morning there was someone screaming in the hall way and before I knew it this guy KICKED down my door!!
I got a new room but couldn't sleep for the rest of the night. Don't think the staff even did anything with the man either.

- John (1/5): Disgrace - Worse stay I've ever came across I'm disgusted with way I was treated like after I complained about that and Ive asked for money to be put back in my account but nothing beds were a disgrace had dust and stains on the sheets I want full return by today I've waited long enough my details are
BSB. 633000
Account number. 132962184
John ODonnell return my money asap The whole place it's a disgrace people who are wanting to stay and you get treated like that
- Erinne (3/5): - Great location, had a private room for two, good value for the price
Room and bathrooms were decently clean Hallways smell like weed, people are sketchy, general ambiance feels very unsafe -pretty sure most people staying there are doing hard drugs. Not for travellers.
- Marco (1/5): NEVER AGAIN - NOTHING EVERYTHING. The staff is not polite. The place is really dirty. The kitchen is not a kitchen.

- Horot (2/5): - I stayed at Elizabeth Hostel for one week in a 4-bed dorm. The only positive aspects were the comfortable beds and the central location.
Unfortunately, everything else was a major disappointment. The hallways had a constant bad smell, and the bathrooms were frequently dirty and extremely unpleasant. Hygiene standards are clearly very poor.
The staff was not friendly at all and, at times, even aggressive, which made the experience uncomfortable from the start.
The kitchen is very poorly equipped: there were barely any cutlery items, and the stovetops were difficult to turn on and off. On several occasions, there was a noticeable smell of gas, which felt unsafe.
The atmosphere in the hostel was honestly disturbing. The hostel allows people in situations of homelessness to stay, some of whom appeared to have serious mental health issues. We witnessed people talking to themselves or to walls, intimidating stares, shouting, and violent behavior such as throwing objects on the floor. One day, the police had to intervene because a person was threatening others with a knife. This made the hostel feel completely unsafe.
Additionally, food was stolen from us in the cool room. The Wi-Fi only works in the common living area and not throughout the hostel.
Considering all of this, the price is extremely high for what is offered. I would not recommend this hostel to anyone. It does not feel safe, comfortable, or well managed.

- Mervin (1/5): - Nothing Staff is rude....place is not well maintained
- Vaiata (10/5): -
- Ly (1/5): -
- Amy (6/5): Budget friendly and close to markets. - It was economical and well positioned. The staff were great and a lot of fellow clients were friendly. The facilities were good for the price. The stairs and it could have been a little cleaner.
- ajilan (4/5): cheap price for suitable persons - rooms are smelly ,not air conditioner aswell not clenenase , bathroom not flexible and kitchen are not cleaned
- Mikhail (4/5): -
- Natadra (6/5): -
- Notti (2/5): Wouldn't stay again - I stayed in a twin bedroom. Bed was ok, shower was warm. It's ok to spend a night or two on a budget if you can't find anything else. I wouldn't stay again. The place was too filthy, especially the bathroom. The staff weren't friendly nor helpful.
- nmarin95 (1/5): Mal. - La ubicación es probablemente el único factor positivo del alojamiento. El personal es muy desagradable, el sitio es sucio y para nada confortable. Los huéspedes son desagradables.
- Justin (6/5): Did the job - Position Not much
- Federica (1/5): -
- hlakyi3 (1/5): - I have experienced that when the receptionist is a Chinese girl, she treats customers very rudely and arrogantly, using an inappropriate tone and behavior, and treating customers unequally. I cannot understand why someone with this kind of attitude is working in a position where they are supposed to be welcoming and polite to guests.”

- Mehran (1/5): Elizabeth Hostel is an absolute error in the heart of Melbourne which destroys the CBD reputation - Nothing Everything
- Nathanael (1/5): -
- Chris (2/5): The stay was okay - The reception was 24 hours The staff at the reception was really slow and made us wait around 30 mins for check in at 5 am when we were really tired
- Domenico (3/5): -
- Andrew (7/5): -
- Sasank (8/5): Lowest price in the market n best stay for a juggler - All good for the market price Toilets not shower
- Santiago (1/5): -
- Chris (3/5): Will not stay here again - The shower worked well and the staff were polite. I had to leave after one night as I could not stand the smell of what smelt like ashtrays in the corridors. The lockers were way too small to fit my bags. Some of the corridors were filled with clutter everywhere. The fridge and the kitchen were not very inviting and didn't feel clean. I guess you get what you pay for
- Jakub (6/5): -
- Jatalia (1/5): -
- Dylan Burnip (6/5): - Cheap
Location
- Arnaud (1/5): Nul. - Rien L’odeur , les gens ils puent et fument et boivent
- Jayden (3/5): Small smelly and unsatisfactory - Location Pretty much everything else
- Su (1/5): Horrible Sophia. Bed sheet is not professionally clean. Maintenance issue. - location 1. Sophia, the receptionist was rude, mean and horrible. Her tone was impolite. She said she can't give refund for 30/11/25 but will give a credit that valid for 1mth. However, when I called to redeem credit 48 hrs after that, she said No and rudely hung up the phone. Not only I had to pay extra money for another hostel, but I've also lost my credit $41 as I am travelling out of Melbourne the next day and do not have plan to be back within a month. This behaviour is unacceptable!
2. I had bed bugs issue from my bed in room 106
3. The doorknob for the room 106 is almost broken, needs a repair, so frustrating.
- Joel (4/5): Adequate -
- Chandra (1/5): - Nothing, just a rotten place with full of addictives
- Sujeewa (1/5): - Location
- Poojitha Kelum (1/5): I don't recommend to stay for anyone - The reception girl on fbs morning shift charging extra money without giving us even a receipt. She made her own rule and charge extra and it's illegal to do so. Very unprofessional and feels she is ripping me off . She is a short blonde colored hair, Asian appearance
- Ajlynnart (1/5): It stinks real bad - None of it It stinks. I recon even a homeless person would rather sleep on the street than stay here for the night
- Karina Paola (5/5): Masomenos bien - Teñí calefacción La cama, la atención, los baños
- Adrian (1/5): - I was told I'm not allowed to stay there ifd like my 28#80$ As above
- Noah (10/5): - The location of the Hostel is incredible! Right im the middle of the city next to great locations like Hard rock! I had a great time there, despite bad reviews of the staff they showed me respect, when being alone, the aroma and feeling of community of the hostel feels amazing, always having someone to talk to like my new friend Abdullah and other members of the hostel! This is truly an amazing gem and would stay every night if I could
- Viktorija (2/5): -
- KOKI (1/5): くそ - なし 汚い、臭い、スタッフだめ
- DANIEL (9/5): My stay was comfortable and very cheap prices for what I got and location - Everyone is down to earth, staff are spiritual and very friendly and have peaceful energy very kind Only issue is some costumers take advantage of the kindness and friendliness of the establishment although the staff and establishment is run by a honest family, I definitely don't like some people that have stayed there although that can happen anywhere you go.
- Ehsan (8/5): -
- Kieran (1/5): Cheap and nasty. They will try and charge you extra for anything, Rotten people - Staff rude and dirty. The whole place is dirty! Staff
- Ay Peng (8/5): -
- Brandon (1/5): DON’T go here. It’s seriously not worth the cheap stay. - This place was literally hell. Everything. They had us pay an extra fee for early check in saying the room is clean and after we dumped our stuff and left for lunch, we came back for a nap and LAYED in little ziplock bags with leftover white powder and spoilt red rooster under my bed. The hallways STUNK of cannabis and when we reported the state of our room to reception they gave us a new room but argued tooth and claw to keep the money we spent on the early check.
- Gary (3/5): -
- Brandon (8/5): Was good I would stay again - Comfy Everything was fine couldn't reach WiFi in rooms
- Jervaisse (8/5): Adequate - It is close proximity
- Anna (7/5): The stay was okay - No breakfast I misunderstood the closeness to Southern Cross Station
- Andrew (7/5): -
- BeLoKee (3/5): - A place to put my things and rest Bed bugs
