- Minga (8/5): Nice spot. Inexpensive. - Great location. Easy in and out. Bathroom floor not that clean. Bed covers need cleaning. Stained and had small holes. Lamp next to bed would have been good.
- Cathy (4/5): A little care in what the property looks like. A little more cleaning. - Not available A little cleaner. Lawn mowed. Wash the windows so you could see out them
- Charlene (6/5): Not like it used to be. - The bed was clean and comfortable. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker in room. The corners of room and bathroom were dirty. The bathtub needs new caulking. The bathroom doorknob latch was non functional.
No breakfast facilities anymore.
- IVY HELEN GAUDET (5/5): - Clean comfortable bed.
Location good. Mirrors, etc could be a little cleaner.
Heating heaters needed painted or new ones put in! Upgrade bathtubs.
Equivalent to a 2 star likely out said.
- Hannah (8/5): - Only stayed for one night, easy check-in and check-out.
- Frank (6/5): - Motel is rather run down, really needs a freshening up and updating. Needs a light beside the bed as well.
- DEBORAH (6/5): - If you needed a bed for the night, this place will do. The unit needs an update. The lamp on the night table needs power. The coffee maker in the room did not work. On the good side, the tv got alot of channels. The bed was comfortable. 3km to Tim Horton's.
- Raoul (8/5): - As a budget class motel that accepts pets, it is satisfactory, well located, presents well from the outside, good WiFi, comfortable beds. The interior condition of the rooms, could well see some minor and not overly costly improvements.e.g. , bedspreads were a bit tatty, ($25 per bed), bathroom door was old delaminated and did not close properly ($50 for a composite interior patterned door). But overall met our needs, but the complex is from the 1950s- 1960s, the exterior has see

- Barb (2/5): - By far one of the worst rooms we have ever stayed in. We didn’t have high expectations based on info provided in the description but it was only for one night. Should have kept driving!!
Bed covering was stained so we were quick to remove it. Pillow provided was the size of a throw pillow.
In the morning we intended to have a shower, first off there was NO hot water (couldn’t even get warm ish water). Scrap that idea but here’s the worst shocker, once we moved the shower curtain there was black mold on the wall.
The only positive I can say about the room we were in (unit 12) is that the flooring had been updated with what I believe is vinyl.
- Brian (8/5): - It was clean and easy and inexpensive. Great for its ease of access
- Robert (3/5): An old cheap motel. - Quiet A hole in the screen on the main window. Mold around the windows and tub. The stool where you put your suit case and loo for items in the suit case is very dark. The toilet paper holder was broken.

- may'c (8/5): - It was off season when we stayed at the motel. In my opinion it was average, but it served its purpose. The couple running the front were pleasant to deal with, I only interacted with the female as she spoke English and I’m assuming it was her husband, spoke in different language. Not rude in any way though. Overall experience was average, there was a ring of dirt around the inside of the bathtub that could use a scrubbing but for the evening spent there it was quiet around the motel, lovely town to explore. If need be I would use this motel again. Beds were comfy enough that I slept through the night, sheets were clean, and besides the dirty tub the bathroom was decent. Most likely it was a busy season and they’re catching up on deep cleaning now. Hope this helps. 😊
- Leigh (7/5): -
- Danielle (10/5): - I went for a weekend alone to explore Shelburne, the motel was perfect for my weekend.
- Gordon (8/5): - It suited our needs for a one night stay
- james (8/5): - Set back from main road so it was quite.
- Philip (8/5): -
- MIRIAM (8/5): - Location was great can walk in to town
- ASHISH (7/5): Ideal town to stop by on the southern leg of the road trip of Nova Scotia. - A perfect spot for a pitstop to crash for the night between Halifax- Lunenburg and Digby-Brier Island leg of the road trip of Nova Scotia. The property maintenance is not up to mark. Looked like the toilet of the motel room we stayed at was not cleaned for a while.
- Emanuele (8/5): - Quiet place
- Kent (4/5): - Very old property , they are trying but simple things like cleanliness might make up for some of the “old”…long way to go to make it a place I would ever return too or recommend
- linda (4/5): For emergency only - For one night only when there is no other place!
- Ric (2/5): Never stay there again. - location TV remote did not work as the batteries were dead so had to use our own batteries. and most channels not available. Cobwebs in the corners and lamp was dusty. Floors squeaked when walked on. Step into room was way too high. Curtains had to be held closed with clothespins and were dirty.
- Immanuel (10/5): Great value for the price. Perfect bed to make love on. - We made love like crazy and could be as loud as we wanted. It was mind blowing. Would have been nice to have breakfast included after a night of love making..
- Amber (9/5): Very comfortable and conveniently located. - It was so clean and the staff was so friendly and helpful.
- Quinn (10/5): Great low budget stay - Its a clean room at a good price. Convenient location. I can’t complain it is what we were looking for
- lisa (10/5): - Good place for such a small town
- Maria (10/5): -
- Janet (8/5): Just the two of us and a dog - The motel was easy to find. Looked a bit run down on the outside and inside but was clean. The bed was clean and fairly comfortable, the mattress could soon be replaced. The bathroom was dated but clean. Airconditioning worked and was not too load. Tv worked great and the area was very quite. All units were rented accross the road where we were but noise did not travel. Overall satisfied
- AnnaMarie (8/5): Relaxed stay would reccomend! -
- Blais (7/5): Convenient - Close to want I wanted to do. Quiet Wifi did not work
TV remote did not control TV, only set top box so needed to manually open close tv.
Bath drain was so slow to drain the water in the bath was at ankle level by the rime my shower was done.
- Karen (8/5): - Beautiful setting. Nice room. Wish they had an ice machine. No breakfast (Expedia shows breakfast included).
- Brenda (6/5): - Motel served its purpose for a one night stay where no other reasonable accommodations were available. A long way from planned destination.
- Philip (8/5): -
- michel (8/5): - Place was nice. Beds comfortable. Staff friendly. Rooms were super clean and nice.
- Nicole (7/5): Needs work! - It was a nice quiet location, beds were clean and comfortable. The people working there were very helpful when my mom fell getting into her room they brought a cement block to help her get in and out of the room. It was an older building and getting into the rooms if you have any mobility issues could be difficult needs another step, it should be a 2 step into the room. I had no toilet paper and the shower curtain was stained. You can tell renovations have been made but hopefully more will continue to be made
- Kate Bird (9/5): -
- John (6/5): - It did the job with friendly service and no pretense. We appreciate that. You cannot expect champagne on beer budget. Very accommodating staff. Clean and comfy beds, nice strong shower. Had to air out the room a bit - the rear windows had screens and the window unit had fan function to also help.
- Zhibin (8/5): -
- Judith (1/5): don't do it - What breakfast....none available No glasses one tiny 2"soap bar....dirty room...dirt all pushed to corners....stains on bed covers...dirty everywhere. No utensils or even a spoon to stir coffee....never again.... Everything...read above
- Amadou Tidiane (8/5): - Quiet place to stay.
The room was clean but regular cleaning is not offered. I requested a cleaning on the 2nd day of my stay. It was done in an expedited and poor manner.
There are no public transportation at all in the area. Beware of this if you are going to rely on public transportation: buses, cabs, rideshare services like Uber or other. The staff was broadly nice. There are a couple of eateries in the town at walking distance.
The room was big with AC/ fan.
The room rate was too expensive for the quality provided.
- Eric (10/5): - Très propre
- Beth (2/5): - Bed spread was stained, curtains were stained and clipped together with clothespins, there was black mould in the bathroom and there were lots of earwigs
- Tracey (4/5): - Dirty, Dirty, Dirty…… just look at pictures attached
- alma (6/5): - lawns wee not mowed
- Gerald (10/5): - All good thks .will be back
- Abhijit (2/5): Pathetic place! - Only the warm hospitality of the reception staff. They were great since the time of arrival at the motel. What was there to like otherwise? The rooms were extremely outdated and smelly. There was 1980s phone, appliances in the room. The bath tub wouldn't drain water making it very inconvenient to shower.
It was all simply terrible, especially considering we paid more than what it costed us at a 3-star hotel in Moncton.
- Marsha (4/5): - Well the overall stay was fine . The room was very smelly , the windows were moldy and could have used a good scrub . There was hair on the wall behind the bathroom door and the pillows were terrible . We got through it though but would not likely stay at this place again .
- George (8/5): - Property needs a bit of reno
- Jocelyn (10/5): - was a cute little motel! super friendly staff and felt very safe.
- Steven (7/5): - Easy access real value for money
- McMahon (9/5): A great little place to stop along the way. - We went with a bunch of friends on our side by sides. We were all together which was great!
- Stephanie (5/5): - I liked the friendliness of the staff, they were extremely accommodating for our need of a larger space to park as we were towing a large trailer! The beds were comfy. I did not like the smell in the room (smelled like a barn) or the cleanliness of the room. There were pop/coffee stains on the wall by the garbage can. There were questionable spots on the wall. The bathroom fan was held in by painters tape. The room looked like it was purposely set aside for a discount room
- Don (8/5): - Not much close in the way of restaurants
- Maggie (10/5): - We stay here a lot while visiting Shelburne as we like the size of the room and the location.
- mark (6/5): - This is a very old motel that is showing its age. It appeared clean but some heaters and other metal were rusted. Outside was not tidy. Leaves not raked, a bit of litter. Ok for the price.
- Pierre (8/5): - I have stayed at the Wildwood for 3 separate work projects in Shelburne. The staff is flexible in terms of changes to dates and duration of stay based on the progress of the projects I was involved in.
- Mason (10/5): -
- Courtney (7/5): -
- Kaleigh (2/5): - Very dirty. When speaking with owner. The reply was it's as small town what do you expect. Unprofessional. Do better smh
- Michelle (1/5): It's was horrible - The drugs I did everywhere Not the brown staff
- Shubham (10/5): - Good
- Gerald (4/5): - Only thing that bothered me was .there was only two people to this hotel and they put us along side each other lol .and the walls are paper thin .I actually had to say through the wall .that I could hear every word they we're saying lol .no jk .and I had my tv and tablet on lol just letting you know.
- Williams (8/5): -
- David (8/5): -
- Szentirmay (8/5): -
- Peter (6/5): - The washroom is not senior friendly. Lacks consideration to senior amenities. Tv has little programming.
- Stephen (4/5): - Room as not very clean. Coffee cups were dirty, had to b returned for clean ones. Surfaces dusty.
- Reimar (8/5): -
- Kevin (8/5): - Property was in a quite area . Staff were very friendly
- David (6/5): - Typical motel layout in a courtyard, looked ok from exterior with blue white paint scheme. Interior of rooms were dark. The room was acceptable but the managers were reluctant to acknowledge improvement
- Shelly (6/5): - I liked that we were isolated ....but the ceiling was damaged ....and there was no ice machine
- Bruce (7/5): Nice - Convenince
- Sally (4/5): Could not wait to leave the following morning. - Location More thorough cleaning needed. Needs serious modernisation. Reception area not a welcoming space - messy and there was a very unpleasant, overbearing odor of food being cooked. The Receptionist was very friendly, however. Just moved to the area from Ontario and therefore has no knowledge of the local area yet. Hopefully, the owners will move quickly to update the motel.
- Clifford (5/5): Meh - Location. Quiet. Does not include breakfast as stated. Needs to be removed from advertisements. Not the hotels fault but there was a cricket in the A/C all. Night. Long.
- chris (7/5): great stay for the value - the staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable and were a value for the price we paid.
- katarina (2/5): - The sheets were filthy and when we asked to have them changed the staff came up with every excuse they could to not do the work. Staff needs training and an understanding of what is acceptable. One of the excuses was was “in India we don’t use whit sheets, they are dark, so people don’t know it is not clean and they just use them as they are”. Terrible! At least a dozen excuses before the sheets were changed heard by multiple people!
- Tracy (8/5): - Serene,quiet,and beautiful walking paths.
Merci 😍
- Pierrette (2/5): - Very dirty!!!! We were really grossed out. Bathroom so dirty and toilet leaking. Floor sticky, stains on blankets. AC didn't work and major dust in the grill. Walls, baseboard heaters hadn't been wiped in a long time. Don't recommend this motel at all. Not worth the $140 we paid for one night.
- Christopher (10/5): - There was no breakfast.
- brent (2/5): - What a dump, Do not stay here!! So dirty, lamps broken, toilet wouldn't flush, cobwebs everywhere, blood on Shower Curtain. Ended up using our own bedding as it wasn't washed.
- Debra (6/5): - Staff friendly Kinda dirty sheets where dirty on bed
- Dyer (5/5): - Staff was very polite & accommodating as we arrived quite late
AC was excellent for the size of room. Blankets very thin, only 2 pillows, shower weak & tub didn't drain well...had a few inches of water the whole time shower was running...tub still hadn't drained when we left a half hour later.
- Sandra (5/5): Disappointed - There was no breakfast provided. Very old, tired building and musty smell to the room.
- Sigrid (2/5): - rates were affordable for crew, bathrooms need badly redone, chipped, rusty, awful caulking, rusty heater, no plug for coffee machine, had to use hallway plug, bbq area is gross, moldy overfull garbage can, cigarette butts everywhere, bbq is totally rotten, gutters on facility need to be cleaned out, trees are growing in them, bedsheets and shower curtain had blood on them. hopefully they just took this motel over and try to start repairing and upgrading soon. too bad, location was nice, convenient, quiet. Almost too much for all....and they advertised breakfast, where there is none.
- Foley (2/5): -
- Betty (8/5): - Nice and quiet, easy parking. The only thing I didn’t like was the step up into the room and out, kinda high for elderly person
- David (8/5): - Just old . Need some maintenance
- rob (8/5): went to a wedding and everything was fine - not available nothing
- Sibei (1/5): -
- Ricardo (6/5): - barely maintained
- Douglas (6/5): Quiet place - Older motel. Room was ok and quiet. Bathroom could use some updating. We asked about breakfast time and they said they don’t do it anymore.
- Lynette (5/5): Slept through and didn’t use shower. - The staff were lovely. Quiet. Old and unkempt and dirty.
- Mengjun (2/5): - not clean at all
