Catalina (4/5): Nice but could be better - Les installations sont bonnes, c’est un hôtel propre. Situé près de la montagne. La seule fois où le personnel de l’hôtel a bien servi, c’était au petit-déjeuner. Ils étaient attentifs et savaient bien s’occuper des clients. Les autres devraient prendre exemple sur eux. Les installations sont bonnes, mais le personnel de l’hôtel devrait suivre chaque matin une formation pour apprendre à être cordial, aimable et à garder le sourire. Quelqu’un m’a dit que c’était une question de culture. Je ne pense pas que ce soit le cas, car ici, au Québec, dans d’autres hôtels, le service est de qualité, mais celui-ci est vraiment médiocre. Par exemple : le personnel de la réception n’était pas du tout aimable. Pas un sourire ni une attitude accueillante. Si l’on croisait un membre du personnel de l’hôtel, il ne saluait même pas. On les saluait et ils ne répondaient pas.

Lots to do on site and a very short drive to Magog town and parc national Orford. We will return next year for sure!

Michele (8/5): Would’ve been great/ but no hot water! - It is not her first time going to this hotel. Why we keep coming back is because it’s a beautiful hotel, clean, comfortable, and we love the swimming pool and outdoor hot tub. The rooms are spacious and have a lot of storage space as well as coffee machine and a small fridge. They have two very good restaurants. One is more casual and burger pub, the other one a little fancier with both having great food. The staff is always very helpful and welcoming. Unfortunately, this time we were only staying for one night and after going to the hot tub at the end of the afternoon and coming back to our rooms, we weren’t able to wash off the chlorine before going out for dinner because we had no hot water. At best it was lukewarm cold. My husband went downstairs to advise the staff of this issue and we were told that it was probably because many people were using the showers at the same time so to check back later and up the hot water would most probably come back. So we did a quick wash and upon a return from the restaurant, we tried to shower or bathe, but then again the water was lukewarm. It was quite disappointing for such a nice hotel room that is not cheap to not be able to take a comfortable bath before going to bed. Next morning when we were leaving, I did check on the water and at that point it was hot again. Because we have been there at least five other times in the past it would not stop us from going again, but this time was a little disappointing.!

Our room has a king size bed with a sofa TV desk chair and another chair. Plenty of storage space. Coffee machine, and small fridge. The swimming pool, outdoor sauna was working beautifully and we took advantage of it. The staff at reception is always friendly and welcoming and helpful. However, this timewe were quite disappointed, as when we got back to our rooms around 6 o’clock, there was no hot water, at best lukewarm. We managed to get cleaned up before supper with what I would call cold water. My husband went downstairs to tell the staff of this . We were told that it was probably because too many people were using hot water at this moment and that it would get better later. When we got back to our rooms act at around 9:30-10:00 , we encountered the same problem. It’s not a very nice feeling to not be able to shower or bathe properly and comfortably. However, the next morning, when we got up, the hot water was back on. I must say that this is the first time that this happens in maybe the six times that we have been there. But it needs to be mentioned, as thinking back, I don’t think that a lot of people using hot water should be a reason for a hotel not to have any hot water in the rooms. These rooms are not cheap and at minimum people expect to be able to take a bath. But overall, it did not take away from the beautiful premises and it’s nice restaurants and atmosphere. .

Weisberger (7/5): Try something else. - The reception was not friendly (they weren’t mean, just standoffish). The hotel is not welcoming. There were few guests the night we stayed, yet we were roomed right next to someone else and it was LOUD! Sort of an odd experience and glad we had earplugs. The pool was cold, and the hottub was barely hot enough to stay in… It wasn’t worth the price paid, and we will try a new place that is more welcoming, has a warmer hottub and better sound proofing.

When we asked about a shuttle we were given the wrong return times and were not told that shuttle doesn't come on weekdays, so on one of the days we waited for 20 minutes outside until we went to reception and were told that there was no shuttle 2. There were no bathrobes- would be nice to have bathrobes for the pool 3. Coffee pods were not renewed- we had to go ask for them at reception 4. Pool was closed at a peak hour for filming and we were asked to leave the pool, although no filming was taking place when we left 5. No drawer to put clothes. Spaces provided for clothing were really inconvenient.

J’ai appeler à la réception et en dedans de 10 minutes ils sont venus changer les draps. La piscine n’est pas faite pour relaxer. Elle est remplie d’enfants en tout temps. Le truc aller y a l’heure du souper c’est plus tranquille.

Paul-André (8/5): Le personnel fait de l'excellent travail et la nourriture était aussi excellente. - À peu près tout. Le bain-jet n'était pas fonctionnel, et comme la piscine était très fréquentée ainsi que le spa, nous aurions particulièrement aimé pouvoir en profiter. Pour ce qui est de la télé, aucune chaîne québécoise n'était apparemment disponible. Vive la télé intelligente (?) et l'américanisation !
Mylene (8/5): relaxant - la salle de jeux :) on a pu aller jouer aux pool et babyfoot. par contre, comme mentionné à l'accueil, du "bleu" pour les baguettes pourait être offert aux adultes via l'accueil. le gym était complet, on a juste manqué de temps pour y rester :). Besoin de rénos autour de la piscine et les portes des chambres ferment bruyament, il y avait un mariage, les gens revenaient tard, c'est notmal. mais la fermeture des portes ouff.

Dara (5/5): Mixed experience: Great comfort, but service and maintenance fell short. - The room was small, as reserved, but solid with a comfortable bed and great Nespresso coffee. Housekeeping was minimal; they never cleaned the bathroom during our week-long stay and often knocked while we were inside. Twice we were woken up early by construction noise (painting/sanding) in the hallway, and our fireplace was broken the entire time. Management didn't mention the fireplace until we complained, eventually offering a partial breakfast credit. Finally, the "hot tub" was merely warm for the duration of our stay. For a 7-night trip, we expected much better attention to detail.

Gabriel (7/5): Nice place normally, but... - Good spot close to Magog. Reasonable pricing if you consider all the normally accessible facilities. Friendly staff. Nice pool. Clean rooms with wooden floors. Nice gym. Good breakfast buffet at the hotel's restaurant for 23$ per person. We live not far from that hotel and went there for an easy couple's weekend getaway towards the end of November. We stayed there before and we figured the probably bad temperature wouldn't be a problem as we had plenty to do inside. Problem was the jaccuzi was broken and the entertainment room was constantly occupied by a horde of kids. When I mentioned my disappointment at checkout, I was greeted only with an apology. I would have expected some kind of gratuity or credit for a future stay. Also, the door soundproofing could be way better as we could hear anything happening in the corridor. Normally not a big problem, but this weekend's guests were abnormally inconsiderate. Will think twice before going back.

Stéphanie (4/5): Nous recherchions un moment de détente, mais ce fut plutôt mouvementé. - Le personnel de l'établissement a été chaleureux et aidant. L'offre de restauration était très intéressante. On a bien mangé. Le système électronique pour ouvrir la porte de notre chambre ne fonctionnait pas. Nous avons dû attendre près de 45 minutes avant de nous faire diriger vers les vestiaires du sous-sol pour qu'on puisse se changer et prendre une douche avant notre souper (Réservation pour 19h15). Nous avons eu accès à notre chambre seulement après le souper. Le système de douche ne fonctionnait pas bien dans la chambre. La piscine et le spa étaient désuet. Je n'ai pas aimé que la piscine donne sur une grande vitre où tout le monde qui passe dans le corridor nous regarde... Il y avait un grand évènement lors de notre séjour. Pas très reposant...

Edith (8/5): - The hotel continues to be excellent, however this time around, we discovered that the category of rooms you stay in has a huge impact on the experience. Our room was outdated. It slept 3, but we have to move a couch to bring down the murphy bed. Overall, I would absolutely stay at this hotel again but never again in this type of room. Sadly, the hotel was fully booked for a wedding so we could not upgrade.

We ordered room service and the food from each of the restaurants was exceptional. The pull out bed was super lumpy and very uncomfortable. They did send up a cot free of charge. The cleaners didn’t wash the dishes that we had used the night before which we we’re surprised about. They also didn’t leave new coffee pods for the following day. When we asked to have more sent up they said they didn’t have enough staff and asked us to come down and get them. We also asked for someone to come look at the fireplace which wasn’t working. They said they’d send someone up but they never came. Staff otherwise was very friendly and helpful.

Stephan (10/5): This is a great hotel in an excellent location. - Our suite was large, well-equipped and comfortable with a lovely outdoor balcony - a great place to enjoy a glass of wine after soaking in the hotel's hot tub. Both in-house restaurants are excellent. Beyond the hotel, Orford National Park is only a few minutes drive away and the charming town of Magog is right down the road. Truly an all-season delight. A few more towels and better lighting in the bathroom would be appreciated.
