- Eve & Keith (2/5): Happy it was only one night. - The website advertises free continental breakfast but they do not offer it at the location. The room was spacious and well laid out. The bed was very uncomfortable. The room was very dirty... the only clean spaces were the bed, the sink, toilet and shower.

- Christine (10/5): Motel Classique. Perfect for any traveler. - The location was perfect, very easy to find. I was greeted very kindly. My room was exceptional, quiet, clean and very comfortable. The motel is centrally located, making it easy to access the museums and other points of interest as well as local restaurants. The Mackenzie motel exceeded my expectations and I could not be happier with my choice to stay there. I have no complaints.

- Linda (2/5): - The whole place needs a deep clean.All appliances and surfaces need to be cleaned. All windows and light shades . Lots of spiders. Toilet handle broke off , shower and floors need to be cleaned. Beds had stains, crusty spots and they were not changed. But when we let them know they came and mopped and changed the beds and gave us more towels.
- Leona (6/5): - I was disappointed with this property. The advertising photo and description show an attractive cottage with a kitchen. I bought groceries so that I could prepare a meal. Instead, we were registered in a bare bones motel room with no cooking facilities. I found the odour of cleaning agents to be overwhelming. There were ashtrays with stale cigarette butts outside the room door, and individuals smoking on a deck adjacent to the office.

Stove was filthy, oven was filthy, mouse droppings in cupboard.fridge froze everything, carpet filthy, bar b que and utensils were filthy windows and window sills filthy with dead flies and fly droppings. Window coverings difficult and some didnt work. I have pictures to prove the above. I stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage, do not sure about the rest of the facility.

- Carole (7/5): Relaxing stop on our trip - Although the uit was worn it was very comfortable for a one night stay Quite old. Bathroom showed its age
- Kris (8/5): - We stayed for a week and used this as a home base while we toured the south shore. The cottage was showing some wear, towels were worn and dishes were mismatched and only enough for two. This property is in an older area and was consistent with the general area. Staff quickly provided a hair dryer when asked. We often saw deer on the property.
- Raymond (6/5): - Unfortunately the check in was problematic as we did not have a cottage as expected on our first night and there was disturbance from other guests at our drive up room in all fairness we were put in a separate cottage the remaining 2 nights which made the stay more convenient A deep cleaning of the facility would be highly recommended Shelburne area was beautiful and central to our visit to a lot of the local beaches , towns and tourist attractions

- Elizabeth (7/5): - It was clean, very quiet, staff was friendly. The only negative I have is, we were there for two nights, when they came to check on the room after the first night, they left more coffee for us to make the next morning but didn't leave clean coffee cups.
- Henry (6/5): - I stayed in the cab8ns six yesrs ago they were really well kept. The beds and linen where clean and comfortable. The main area and bedrooms were clean.The bathroom and shower had mold and a smell of urine. Sometimes mold will give off a urine smell. The stove was very filthy. I wonder if the cabin was used as a long term rental?? The swimming pool was nice and the kids had fun. It's was alright for one or two night stay.

- Kenton (2/5): - If you are into rooms that don’t have crumbs on the floor, bedsheets that don’t have stains, blinds that don’t have years of dust caked on them, a couch that isn’t falling apart (and without cigarette burns), towels without holes, a range that doesn’t have food all over it and down the adjacent wall, and more than one of each piece of dish wear and cutlery (for a two-bedroom cabin), don’t stay here.

Had issues with wifi and the tv would only work for live tv, cause it would not identify the wifi....front desk guy was pleasant and willing to help when we needed him.shower head was awesome, never seen one that sprayed you from so many angles..good for back pain.

Kitchen was a bit cramped and the bathroom is right off the kitchen which was odd. Old couch was not in great shape. Ok place to stay for a night or two.

- Andrea (8/5): Cute little motel in the charming town of Shelburne - Cute little motel, nice wood paneling, fancy shower. Great location. The bathroom shower drain doesn't drain well. And the bathroom sink could've used a better clean but they did apologize for it.

The owner lives on site so very very easy to get anything if you need it . Location was perfect close to town although we didn’t use the pool it is huge ..! Definitely will be returning

- Kathy (8/5): - We couldn't stay in the room we were given, as there was a bad smell in the air. I have no idea what it was. When I told them this we were immediately taken to a much nicer room, but the batteries for the remote for the room's heater/cooler had died so we had to walk back to the office to get more. The faucet in the shower was almost coming off the wall, the outlet next to the bathroom sink wouldn't work for my blow dryer. It felt like the rooms were barely cleaned and rarely checked to make sure everything was working.

I had to buy a bottle of cleaner for the bathtub before it could be used. I scrubbed it myself. There were cobwebs everywhere, one kitchen drawer was full of crumbs, floor was dirty all around bottom of the walls, and the shower curtain looked like it hadn’t been washed in a long time. They left no k-cups for the machine either (which was fine I went to Sobeys).

- Krista (8/5): Very good - Bathroom was very clean and the shower setup was fantastic. The room was clean and bed comfortable. TV wouldn't turn on. The heat was not on when I checked in and it took over an hour to get comfortable. The pillow sham was ripped quite significantly.

- Margaret (10/5): Warm and quiet - This is a pretty little town, and it looked especially nice with the holiday lights and snow. My place was cozy and pleasant. It is so nice and quiet in the winter.
- Luc (2/5): Never again - This place should not be opened from Nov to April. Their water pipe froze and no water to our room, complaint to the owner and said it was out of his control. Shower dirty and mouldy, shower door does not stay closed.

- Heather (8/5): Satisfactory for a sports team stay - Good location, cottages were clean Sofa should be replaced, it was a leather sofa with lots of peeling material and was very worn. Towels were a little brown in color but were suppose to be white.

- Dennis (6/5): - Checkin was easy. The room had been updated. I'm certain the floors don't get washed often as I spilled a bit of water and the white paper towel I used to wipe it up was dirty. The coffee machine and coffee needs an upgrade. The cord on the machine was not long enough to be plugged in. Had to sit it on a chair to reach the power bar. I checked out and was in a hurry to play golf and left a nearly full bottle of Wente Morning Fog in the fridge. Called within five minutes and left a VM to explain I would pick it up on my way home after golf and to aknowlege my VM. No response and when I stopped in they had dumped it. So no rave reviews from me.

- Tsvika (4/5): Look for better alternatives - Honestly? Nothing It had its prime years ago. It needs urgent maintenance and renovation. Two bulbs were burnt, everything was dirty, the "well equipped kitchen" was missing basic things, even one of the forks seemed to need a dentist - its teeth were bent.... We talked to the staff. Everything that was missing was brought from another room. I guess the next guess there will not be a happy guest.
