Guest Reviews
- Davidw (7/5): Quieter resort but still functional, reasonably priced (but should be) with a lovely little beach. - If you are after a quieter low cost resort this may suit. Small private beach yet easy access to a few good places to eat that had sufficient differentiation from each other (ie medium upmarket beach bar and restaurant and village style local hotel eatery on beach.). The resort was one of the originals and has nice Thai style compared to some others. Aircon in bedrooms was very good and beds ere comfortable. Bathrooms average but functional. Really no facilities on site except a fridge you could buy beer from. The few homemade timber beach chairs had peeling paint that came off on to your skin, and the rustic home-made furniture to sit at was sized only for children. It was more comfortable to sit at the resort next door (which actually had no beach) and walk back here to swim. Something that could be easily fixed.
- Marwinastorga (9/5): Superb - Private resort, beautiful beachfront, relaxing atmosphere, very accommodating and helpful front office, beach is serene with torquiose waters. No restaurant in the resort, however there are restaurant in the nearby resorts.
Bathroom too hot as there is no exhaust system
- Sathish0287 (8/5): Very good - Freindly staffs. Check in and check out was too smooth, I have never experienced such ease of experience before. We arrived at the property at 10am and requested front desk for early check in and the staff was more than helpful to provid eus the room. The location is perfect with small private beach which is suitable for family. Overall experience is good. Room smells bad, could have been cleaner.
- Florian (6/5): Disappointed - Great location, close to the beach and quiet Lizards could enter the room, so each night I had to get them out
- Oliver (7/5): Good - Location on a quiet and beautiful beach. Room needs some TLC, hard mattresses.
- Jeannecou (9/5): Traditional houses and cute private beach - This is the 2nd time I'm coming to that hotel. That says it all We couldn't see the sea from the balcony
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Thai style accommodation, great location with private beach. So peaceful. Friendly and helpful staff Everything great for us but wouldn't recommend for anybody with mobility issues.
- Kevin (8/5): Only had one night to enjoy Ko Samet so chose carefully and was very happy with my choice - The location next to a good swimming beach was great. This beach was perfect, quiet but enough happening to make it interesting. The people running the resort were friendly and welcoming. Fridge in room was a bonus as was a simple breakfast of toast and jam It met my needs perfectly
- Adrian (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ross (5/5): The beautiful surroundings clashed with the less presentable rooms. - The location was fantastic as it was directly on the beach with beautiful trees. The staff were friendly and helped us get our luggage when we arrived as it was quite steep coming into the resort. They left us alone for the most part to enjoy the surrounding beauty. Based on the price we paid, the actual rooms were quite subpar. The decor and furniture were mismatching and slightly worn. It would have been a more enjoyable experience if we had paid less than a quarter of the price. Perhaps it was just because it was peak season. However, there weren't many others at the resort.
- Anatolii (8/5): Very good -
- Mary (8/5): Very good - I love the hammocks and being right on the beach. Plenty of eating options at resorts and restaurants nearby, though not a lot of choice in the food. The design of the resort with all the bungalows and rooms opening onto a central courtyard gives it a cute village feel. Breakfast is very basic and I didn’t find fruit for sale anywhere. It is not a quiet place, which I was prepared for, but anyone looking for something quiet should go elsewhere.
- Marcin (6/5): Pleasant - beach in front of the bungalow.
- Diana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vaibhav (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was not that impressive, just the basic bread butter jam and coffee.
- Katrina (10/5): Wonderful place to be when staying in Koh Samet island.:) Comfort, private beach, beautiful room.:) - Amazing authentic Thai style feeling, close private beach, clean, beautiful room, friendly stuff, balcony with Thai swings.:) All was great. Thank you.:)
- Fabio (7/5): perfect place for Relax - Amazing prívate beach, polite and friendly staff Hot water didn't always work
- Olga (4/5): Very good location, quiet. - Beach is perfect, no noise, quiet. Old room, bad is very tough, no glass in the room, toilet clogged.
- Anthony (8/5): Very good - Good quiet location , friendly helpful staff.
- Stephen (10/5): Fantastic stay in front of wonderful beach - excellent location beachfront
small beach in front was the best we saw on the island with nice tree coverage for shad and sun for those who want it
canoe available
easy pick up for the snorkelling trip we booked
staff were fantastic
fruit, chicken and salad vendors at lunchtime were great
nearby restaurants Apache and Jellyfish very good and affordable May be a little rustic for some but we loved it. bed mattress was quite thin but we like a hard mattress anyway so ok for us. no English TV stations but we bring firestick which worked ok
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional - Location is impossible to beat. Staff are amazing. Cannot capture in words how much I love this place. I liked everything!!
- Loyal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catherine (8/5): Very good -
- Colin (8/5): excellent uncrowned beach oriented holiday venue - superb beach, clean white sand, clear water. no tv in international channels
- Leon (10/5): Fantastic - Amazing place
- Anonymous (5/5): enjoyed my stay there but would not return - quiet beautiful location
helpful staff mattresses were poor. bathroom not clean. layout odd cramping bungalows together
massage area in the center of where one walks to the beach
- Xerksis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sajid (6/5): A great place to relax - Calm and quiet place, with access to beach. Photos on Booking.com look far too fancy. The actual property is a bit old and below par. However, still an amazing stay there. Access to hotel has limited options. We had a bike rented so no issues.
- William (6/5): we enjoyed our short stay here. - right on the beach the toilet didn’t function properly, the coffee was instant, the free breakfast was poor.
- Dawn (4/5): Disappointing - The beach and the setting were perfect Staff did not speak English despite claims they did
The accommodation was not clean and full of ants and mosquitos. Having a coil or something would help.
Breakfast bread and jam
- Charelle (8/5): Very good -
- Thongdaeng (9/5): It is a quiet and clean private beach. All the staff are friendly, kind and polite. -
- Serdar (7/5): Nice area, rooms can be better. - Very quite and the nice small beach. Nice staff. Rooms need some maintance.
- Hammerton (7/5): Good -
- Sattoh (6/5): -
Was vollkommen ausreichend ist.
- Leif (10/5): Nästan egen strand :-) :-) :-) - Lagom med besökare :-) :-) :-) Nästan egen strand :-) :-) :-) Lugnt och frisfullt :-) :-) :-)
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very good hotel, has small clean private beach - Great cheap hotel, private beach, clean rooms, excellent value and I would definitely stay there again.
- David (10/5): Picturesque - Nice basic accommodation right on the a lovely beach. I recommend it for nice quiet break.
- Anders (4/5): Undermålig standard - Stenhårda sängar. Bara träbritsar, inga madrasser
Äckliga sängkläder.
Myror i båda barnens sängar.
Vi avbröt vår vistelse efter en natt
Det fanns Wifi samt AC
Ingen restaurang
- Nick (2/5): Stay anywhere else - While the three teenagers that ran the place by themselves were nice enough, they had no idea what they were doing and were unable to help us with any activities during our stay. Our room had a bathroom door that wouldn't close and no toilet seat. After asking 5 times and showing a google image of a toilet seat we were able to get one, but that didn't improve the smell. The walls were so thin I actually heard someone in the room next to ours turning a page of a book. The power went out a few times, but no-one bothered to let us know why or for how long. The location was not great and the whole place felt partly deserted. The only redeeming feature was the small beach and the more active beach a fifteen minute walk away. Don't stay here. I am actually surprised that this is even on wotif.
- monty (6/5): Steep walk way - The staff was great, but the place could use some work. Very remote part of the island, which had its positives as the water festival was on. Tough walk to the hotel down a steep hill. Better access by boat. There was no restaurant, so we walked down the beach. Food was very good and inexpensive.
- ROBERT (6/5): Lovely beach, mediocre hotel. - Lovely beach on Ko Samet, that was quiet and has a good energy.
Although there was some building going on while I was there, so this could be about to change????
The staff at the hotel were kind and friendly, Also the hotel is right on a lovely small beach.
However some fundamental issues;
1/Rooms are not cleaned daily.
2/Hotel is made out dark wood so you can hear everything next door. On the first night I had to put up with a woman coughing all night.
3/Beds were a bit too hard for my liking.
In short it was ok for a few days, but I felt that some of the other accommodation options on this beach may have been better.
- Hannah (8/5): Cozy on Koh Samet - We loved our stay room was functional and cozy for 4, view was great, and staff very kind and helpful. It was a throw back to the older Koh Samet. There was not a ton around but it was perfect and quiet exactly what we were looking for. Great breakfast spot to the right and diner spot to the left. Bed a little hard for some.
- Verified traveler (6/5): small, private and quiet beach good to relax. - Need to rent a motorbike for transportation in town. Not too far from center. Few local restaurants nearby but easy access to other locations. Nice Thai house style. Staffs are nice, speak some English
- David (8/5): Nice inexpensive Hotel - Nice hotel, Staff were very friendly and helpful. A little bit out of town and need a taxi to go to local bars. but they were readily available.
- Sakai (4/5): Average is an overstatement. - Nothing was great. Check in was ok.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Beautiful - Fabulous hotel will certainly go there again.so close to the beach, fantastic.
