- Samantha Gladys (6/5): Pleasant but not very clean - We liked that there was a mall connected below, and nice food options around. The room was spacious and there was a nice view. Location had a few bus stops that were well-connected. Swimming pool was nice. There was also a gym we could use. There was barely any housekeeping done over the 5 nights we stayed (we were told that housekeeping is only done on the 3rd day of stay) and cleaning was minimal when done. We caught a few baby cockroaches in our room and decided to move out as a result. There was no drainage in the toilet area as well, only in the shower area. Location is at least 15 minutes walk to the nearest MRT, so it is not the easiest to get to. The entrance can also be confusing to find when on foot.

Restaurant staff was not good, having a toddler is not easy when it comes to food. They didn't let our food inside that area considering we have toddler. - AGMCSM (9/5): - The employees always go above and beyond to help us with everything that we need. Each and everyone of them were very friendly and kind. Special thanks to Elma and Francis for going out of their way to assist us. The family room was spacious with a big practical bathroom for a wheelchair user. The one thing that is missing is the hooks for towels in the shower room. Otherwise everything was perfect, location is great, walking distance to eatery, restaurants and minimarkets. 6 mins walk to bus stops, 12 mins walk to the MRT station, laundry in the building, free flow of drinking water with restaurant on the poolside. We had wonderful stay and managed to explore Singapore without the use of a wheelchair taxi. For all the wheelchair user out there, dont be afraid to be here. We've done it and it works :))) No hooks for towel in the shower room. Due to wear and tear, the chair in the restaurant kept pinching my shorts and made hole on it.

They remembered or drink preferences, room number and were always warmly greeted, for breakfast and dinner. The steak that was ordered in the evening were cooked to perfection. Meals were well presented. not like some high fluting Michelle restaurant. but as all meals should be, put in a plate ready to eat, not as some piece of fancy art work. Meals were of a good size. Again, my thanks to ALL THE STAFF at the Chat and Chow for a job very well done

It was noisy you could hear everything your neighbour said! We were unfortunate to have two tour groups of very loud people come through who were disrespectful and decided yelling in the hall all times of the night was ok. The breakfast was very average.

- Jolene (8/5): a cozy, conveninent hotel that’s great for short stays, with a few minor drawbacks. - i had a comfortable and pleasant stay. the room’s orange and yellow tones with warm lightning created a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. even on level 5, i enjoyed a nice city view, and it was quiet at night with no noise issues, allowing me to sleep well. the room was clean and well-maintained, and the bed and pillows were soft and comfortable. there’s also a mall right beside the hotel with plenty of food options, and transport is easily accessible. the reception staff were friendly and made check-in smooth and easy. the room is a bit compact, making it less ideal for two people with luggage. the toilet has an open-concept design, which may not suit those who prefer more privacy. no bottled water was provided, and only body wash is available, so guests need to bring their own shampoo.

Plenty of tea, coffee, etc, even filtered water available. Easy to get to from the city centre and not too far from the airport. Breakfast starts at 6am so great for early flights. Good selection of food. Reception very helpful. Called a taxi for me to the airport which arrived in under 5 minutes. TV channels very limited but not that important that I wouldn't stay there again.

- 40deviv (10/5): COZY HOME AWAY FROM HOME - Walking into Ibis Styles McPherson was like arriving into a cozy home and being with family. The support of the General Manager and her efficient staff was immediate, professional and sincere throughout our extremely pleasant stay there. The location of this hotel is fantastic. This area still maintains a traditional sense of Singapore with its older shops, hawker center, coffee shops and ethnic restaurants. There are supermarkets, hairstylists, a massage therapy outlet, SIM card shops etc, available within short walking distance. We also enjoyed exploring the heritage Bidadari Nature Park. The hotel provides a free morning shuttle service to the Paya Lebar Interchange train station. Our room was comfortable, clean and tidy. The restaurant is at the charming swimming pool area where the breakfast buffet is served. It was a generous, thoughtful variety catering for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian guests. Chef George takes pride in providing well-planned, tasty meals. 'Aunty' Lucy, while busy serving, would still fit in a quick chat to enquire after our comfort. Balan organised two SMRT bus/train cards which got us moving around Singapore immediately. Ron mixed the best rum and coke. Fife went out of her way to make sure our room needs were met. Jo and the GM connected with us everyday. Just like everyone in the 'family', Mala, Nita, Joash, Ashok, Mr Velu, Mr Nick and all the other lovely staff wanted to do everything for us. They made our stay as easy as magic! We so look forward to connecting with this warm bunch of 'family' in May. XX

- Flyer13394297368 (10/5): Comfortable Stay, Excellent Staff & A Thought on Indian Travel Etiquette Abroad - I had a very good stay at ibis Styles Singapore On Macpherson. The rooms are clean, functional, and comfortable, perfect for both leisure and business travel. The property is well maintained, the common areas are tidy, and it has a relaxed, easy-going vibe that truly feels like a home away from home. Breakfast was genuinely good, with a nice spread and solid vegetarian options as well. Vegetarian Indian travellers will have no trouble finding enough variety to eat comfortably. The staff deserve special mention. They were extremely professional, calm, and patient throughout my stay. Even during busy and slightly chaotic moments, they handled everything with composure and courtesy, which speaks highly of their training and attitude. I’m Indian myself, so I’ll say this honestly and respectfully. During my stay, a large Indian tour group checked in, and the noise levels and general lack of consideration did affect the otherwise peaceful atmosphere of the hotel. That was disappointing, not because of nationality, but because basic travel etiquette matters. When any of us travel abroad, our behaviour reflects not only on us individually, but also on how our nationality is perceived. That said, the hotel itself offers excellent value for money and I would absolutely recommend it. If you appreciate cleanliness, good service, and a comfortable stay, this property delivers. - vincentczh (8/5): Fantastic Restaurant & Staff, Average Rooms - Overall, ibis Styles Singapore MacPherson delivers a pleasant stay with excellent service, though the rooms could benefit from a refresh. Like many reviews online mention, the hotel is known for its friendly staff, clean environment and lively restaurant and I can agree with that. Upon check-in, I noticed that the sheer blind in my original room was not functioning properly. I immediately informed the receptionist and to their credit, they promptly arranged a room change. The replacement room was an intermediate, slightly smaller room but everything was in working order, which I appreciated functionality matters more to me. One personal observation: the room colour theme feels very youthful with strong orange and red tones. It might appeal to younger guests but I personally found it a bit unusual and slightly overwhelming for a hotel room. The highlight of my stay was definitely Level 4’s Chat & Chow restaurant. It’s consistently busy which speaks volumes. The staff there are fantastic, helpful, friendly and approachable. What impressed me most is that both the morning and evening teams maintain the same positive attitude despite being different staff members. Well done to the team. This is honestly the main reason I’m giving a 4-star rating. Location-wise, it’s acceptable but requires some walking. You’ll need to walk to Mattar MRT (Downtown Line) or take a bus to Aljunied MRT (East-West Line). It’s suitable for guests who don’t mind walking or using buses. The gym is small but the equipment is adequate for a basic workout and well maintained. The pool is also on the smaller side especially noticeable when many guests are using it at the same time. As an Accor member, I do feel that Accor Group should consider refurbishing the rooms soon to keep up with the expectations of loyal members and to match the strong service standards provided by the staff. Final verdict: Great service, excellent restaurant team, and decent facilities but room upgrades would elevate the overall experience significantly.

- Krubee (8/5): A hidden Gem of SG hotels🙏🥰 - Ibis Styles Hotel Macpherson is such a surprise in so many ways. We’ve been seeing this hotel in Agoda/Trip/Klook but this is the first time we’ve decided to book this hotel coinciding with Black Pink concert. The other go to hotels we’ve booked are pricier during this time so we booked Ibis Macpherson. We found in Agoda a Standard room with Twin beds at 18 sqm this is one of the largest rooms we had in Sg at a very reasonable price of 140 SGD ++ per night for a peak weekend with no breakfast. The hotel is located near Tai Seng MRT or Macpherson MRT. They offer free shuttle daily at 11 am only to Orchard/Chinatown/Paya Lebar. Tai Seng is about 15 mins walk via Grantal mall but buses are there between both MRTs to Ibis. Checkin was fast and smooth and we were booked on the 5F with a view of neighbourhood outside. The room as mentioned is quite big and spacious and clean/tidy. The room’s Earthy tones matches that of the hotel with a touch of Orange/Red. It has black floor tilings on toilet/shower area and Beige tilings on the main bed. Shower/Toilet is on the right separated by Black glass doors/walls. The shower is also separated by glass door from the toilet and it follows the room’s tone of Red/Orange/Black colors. There are no toilet bidet and they provide toothbrush glasses, toiletries and clean towels. In the shower are they have both rainfall and traditional plus a body wash provided in container. Water pressure is strong and heating working perfectly. There is a Black/Red plastic cabinet and wardrobe that serves as divider between toilet and bedroom. When you slide the door you would see the sink and toilet which is quite interesting. They provide safety lock which is a plus including clothes hangers and if you need slippers its upon request. Clean towels which are provided daily and if you stay more than 2 nights they will do 1 housekeeping on 3rd night only. Next to the wardrobe is the mini-bar with compartments and a Japanese style kettle with White cups. This is a unique piece similar to a try only its electric and holds the Water Kettle itself and serves are placements for the cups. They provide complimentary coffee/tea/bottled water daily located on the compartment on this side table which is a big plus. Next to the minibar are the 2 twin beds which are quite big from the standard ones. Beds, Mattresses and Pillows are clean, comfy, soft and fluffy. Mattress is just the right firmness and softness and the blankets are just the right thickness. Across the bed is a huge flat screen TV surrounded by an artsy frame like an Eye shape and has a lighting effect at night. TV has lots of local/cable channels but their Wifi is a bit slow sometimes. One of the perks of our room is the wide and huge window with compartments below and a blackout curtain. Our view of the neighbouring place is Amazing!!! The hotel have breakfast buffet at around 14 SGD but we didn't avail and the selections were quite plentiful. They also have a pool and fitness center which we also didn’t get a chance to try maybe next time To cap off my Very good review, finally the staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating to our requests!!! - Lars (4/5): Abgewohntes Hotel - Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind sehr stickig, da sich die Fenster nicht öffnen lassen. Die Betten sind so hart, dass man als Seitenschläfer Hüftschmerzen hat. Der Wasserhahn war so locker, dass wir Angst hatten ihn abzureißen. Zimmerreinigung alle zwei Tage ist ein Witz. Insgesamt war das Zimmer in einem erbärmlichen Zustand, alles machte einen abgenutzten Eindruck.

- Roberto (7/5): Consigliato anche se lontano dal centro. - Albergo standard, lontano dal centro ma tranquillo, pulito e con staff gentile e cordiale. Vicino c'è una zona con negozi e luoghi per mangiare carina e con prezzi modici. In definitiva una scelta con un buon prezzo, lontano dalla confusione, ma con poca spesa permette di girare grazie ai Grab tutta Singapore.

- MAXWELL (3/5): Maybe it’s time to consider other hotels while in Singapore - Location near MRT & within the Mall. Room changes were repeatedly required due to improper cleaning protocols and inadequate performance by some members of the cleaning staff. Room 1: A dead roach was found in the drain and near the desk. Room 2: Hair was present throughout the bed, and a used condom was found underneath the bed. Room 3: A white stain resembling semen was observed on the window. Housekeeping changed the sheets; however, the replacement sheets contained a yellow stain resembling urine, and the pillowcase appeared to have brown streaks. I slept on top of the comforter and used towels over the sheets to avoid contact. Ants were frequently present in the room, but aside from this, conditions were tolerable. Due to exhaustion from repeated room changes, I chose not to pursue another move. I have photographs documenting all of the above issues. At this point, I strongly considered changing hotels, but the anticipated difficulty of obtaining a refund made this option feel overwhelming. I would note that the final room was an upgraded accommodation, which was appreciated, despite the continued cleanliness concerns. I am a very clean individual and left the room in a clean condition, supported by photographs. The stay was further disrupted by a group of guests who discarded trash in the hallway outside my door, likely due to its proximity to the elevator. Additionally, their children repeatedly treated the hallway as a play area late into the night, continuing past midnight and into early morning hours. Lastly, during breakfast service, staff oversight appeared insufficient. On one occasion, ants were found inside the croissant holder, which I also documented with photographs. Breakfast was provided complimentary due to the ongoing room issues; however, I rarely participated. While my experiences have not always been this poor, the frequency and severity of these issues suggest it may be time to consider alternative hotels going forward.

There are buses going everywhere and 2 Mrt Food stalls behind Some open 24 hours . 3 lifts to rooms as hotel very busy so that is good There is a swim pool and resturant onsite The rooms are cleaned only every 2 days . Check in time 3 pm .We were lucky a customer did not turn up the day before so we were given their rooms by 11 am . Very considerate staff in this matter . Luggage is self service to rooms Now they have 3 big luggage carriers . They could have a smaller one like the airports . No toilets around the reception have to go to swim pool.

Checked in by Hairi who was very efficient and happy to accommodate my room request. Then it was all downhill. Went to level 4 for breakfast and was overcharged as being a walk in, not the guest rate. Even though I was asked my room number? Finally after my query about a higher charge than quoted by front desk, the charge was corrected. Service charge for a buffet??No service! Breakfast is basic by International standards. No bacon, runny scrambled eggs, undercooked sausages etc. etc. We were quoted $S59 ++ for Christmas lunch and the menu is most unimpressive. Lots of better food 300m away. Room cleaning is every second day. Why? Towels are wet and at 5:45pm our room has still not been cleaned. Noisy teenagers in the pool on weekends are part of regular tour groups accommodated at this hotel. I was informed that individual guests needs are secondary to the tour groups. By a female dressed with a head covering. We will not be returning to this hotel. Ibis generally provided good value for the 300 room nights I book, every year, but this hotel has been a major disappointment to me. Sound carries from room to room and other guest’s conversations can be clearly heard. Not good enough to be an Ibis Styles!
- MAXWELL (8/5): Pretty okay. - It’s close by a gas (petrol) station, near two MRT (train lines) & has local food in almost all directions. Network speed is slow & again the Ethernet ports do not work. I tried during my previous stay & it seems the feedback I left went without consideration.

Hotel is also close to convenience stores and local restaurants Room was clean, comfortable and was surprised by the room size (which is relatively bigger than other Ibis Styles in other countries) Shower room and toilet are separate, Note that shower room, toilet, washing basin are not physically separated from the beds Staff was helpful and overall, no complaints
