- Vivienne (8/5): Great value, comfortable, self sufficient, but I suggest a few "tweaks" - Surprisingly quiet for being on the Highway, but the accom is set well back from the road. We stayed in a twin room which had a split king bed scenario. It was very spacious, had everything to be self sufficient except laundry facilities - but there is a shared guest laundry on site (one washer and one dryer only!) The beds were super comfy (and I normally can't sleep in a single bed!). Staff were friendly, professional and, most importantly, helpful. We didn't try the restaurant but it looked good, with a warm ambience and a delightful outlook. Bathroom was fresh and updated, but there was shower gel residue on parts of the shower walls, so cleaning needs a bit more attention. It appears they don't vacuum inside the (carpeted) wardrobe either. All in all, a pleasant and comfortable stay, good faciilities, wonderful beds and a great shower. Very good value. Location is a bit out of town, not near anything, but that was part of its appeal for me.... quiet and surrounded by the countryside. If there was a guide book for the room, we never spotted it. Such could have included instructions for the electric stove top, microwave and coffee pod machine. "Trial and error" and guesswork wastes precious travel time. BE AWARE: MICROWAVE: is hidden in an overhead cupboard with a lift up door. There's nothing to prop that door open, so it operates in a closed cupboard (weird!). When you open it, the microwave door can hold the lift up door up but this is unweildy and precarious. An OHS risk assessment of this set up indicates considerable risk of user burns from hot food/liquid or of a user head injury from dropping an item or minor hand injury from the combo of doors. The cost to remove the risk is minimal. This is a "no-brainer" decision from RA perspectivd: get that microwave out of the overhead cupboard and change that unweildy door! A small unit can be installed near one of the many powerpoints for the microwave to stand on/in. There is loads of room in the suite. FRIDGE: the small bar fridge has a tiny freezer conpartment. There's small print somewhere inside the fridge saying it is not suitable for freezing food. I wish I had spotted that print before I bought icecream! BATHROOM: as a twin room, a shower screen or curtain would be a helpful addition to the bathroom. As it currently is, one guest can't use the toilet while the other showers. You're showering "on display' in all your glory... even though you are around the corner, the vanity mirror (wall to wall and bench to ceiling) puts you on widescreen display in the whole bathroom. I hope they rethink this one!
