- Aaron (8/5): - The only criticism I have for this charming, relaxing property is that the bed we slept on was like a king sized army cot with the steel spring frame, and the pillows were akin to the disposable kind you get in the ER. That being said, we would stay at Carriage Lane Inn again, but we hope the bed would be a bit more comfortable next time.

- MelBell63 (10/5): Clean King room with two person tub. - My husband and I stayed with the Carriage Lane Inn on Aug 16 & 17, 2024. We throughly enjoyed our stay. Our Room (East Tennessee, I think) was very clean, in a quiet neighborhood and it served as wonderful lodging for our two night stay. We are not a fan of hotels, so this was a great alternative for us. Our King room was large and the bathroom had a stand alone shower and a huge, wonderful two person tub! They provided nice fluffy towels and soap for the bathroom. We had a TV with Roku to watch movies if you desired. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice and dark for sleeping with a ceiling fan over the bed for great room circulation. I never met the inn keepers but they were very easy to work with and booking the room was easy. They left us snacks and waters in the refrigerator. Instead of breakfast at the Inn you are given meal vouchers to local restaurants to cover your breakfast meal. They were very close to the Inn and we had very good food. We especially loved Pucketts. The town is actually a great little town with cute shops and mom and pop restaurants. We also liked a restaurant called Alley on Main. I recommend the Carriage Lane Inn if you are in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. We have actually already booked the same room for two nights next year.

- 259stephaniet (10/5): Charming - We stayed at the 411 Magney house. Built in the late 1800s. It retained all the features and furniture of the original home. Our room was on the first floor. It was beautiful, spacious and clean. The bathroom also very spacious with a nice size shower. We had access to the kitchen which included the fridge and coffee maker. It's located in a small historic town. We enjoyed our walks lined with beautiful old houses and flowers. We walked to Puckett's for dinner which was very nice. Charming, quiet home in a charming, quiet town.

- judycT3667WI (10/5): Special place for a getaway weekend! - My husband and I were looking for a special getaway weekend to celebrate his birthday. The Carrige Lane Inn was more than perfect. We had never been to Murfreesboro.We loved the town and all the shops and restaurants. The Inn was in a convenient location to downtown. The Inn itself is very quaint, felt like we were visiting a family members home. Victoria was very helpful answering any questions that arose and was very generous with two gift certificates for breakfasts at local downtown eateries. Thank you Victoria for checking all the boxes to make our stay a memorable one!

- Sheri (10/5): We didn’t want to leave! - Charming Victorian home! We enjoyed hot tea and snacks left by the owner upon our arrival. We stayed in the Fireside Room. The bed was comfortable, a little bit creaky, but comfortable and we slept well. The house was very clean and the owner is super nice. There are vouchers for breakfast at a local restaurant in a cute town square with lots of shopping.
- R5488BMclaudiak (10/5): Like visiting and staying with family. - We enjoyed a great, quiet getaway at Carriage Inn in Murfreesboro. Making the reservation was super easy, friendly staff. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the owner. We had a lovely bedroom in a five bedroom house. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom. Access to the Kitchen for food storage in the fridge, making hot water for tea, coffee in the morning was like being at home. The City Cafe for Breakfast was a lovely stroll into the heart of Murfreesboro, and such a very quaint, home style restaurant. We felt like part of the community, great staff. When our travels take us back to the Nashville area, we very much look forward to another stay at the Carriage Lane Inn.

The Carriage Lane Inn is a grand home that takes you back to the 1899 era when it was built with bespoke furniture, elegant decor, and spacious manor rooms. Staying here is both a priviledge and a pleasure, creating a memory I will treasure forever. The hosts are fantastic, and the location is central to everything in Murfreesboro. More than excellent, this place is absolutely magical!

The Carriage Lane Inn is a beautiful facility and my guests enjoyed their stay tremendously. Each room had special touches that elevated the whole experience. The innkeeper was prompt and went above and beyond when circumstances outside anyone's control could have impacted our stay. All the stars go to Victoria!

There was plenty of room though had an intimate feeling. Great location. Well with in walking distance to many things downtown Murfreesboro. I would strongly recommend this place to anybody!!

Location is amazing, so much to walk to and Nashville is just a short drive away. The owner was so helpful getting us booked and having the place ready when we arrived. Very clean and all the amenities we needed and then some. I highly recommend!!
- AngelaHenderson (10/5): Charming Property, Super friendly owners - Wonderful B&B right in the heart of Downtown Murfreesboro. The house is charming and the location is excellent (easy to get everywhere). Plenty of parking, easy access. The owners are AMAZING - they obviously truly care about their business and it shows. There's loads of little touches - a snack basket in the kitchen for example - that show just how much they genuinely want their B&B to be a welcoming home away from home. Would stay there again and highly recommend it! Yes, the old is old - that's part of the charm! The beds are new and super comfortable though. There's a hairdryer and coffee maker in the room; there's a full kitchen if you need a fork or glass or want to use the microwave or refrigerator. WiFi was good and even though we met other people staying there, we didn't have any issues with "hearing" other guests.

- barrowbunch (10/5): Two separate stays here at the Carriage Lane Inn - We stayed here at the Inn, choosing to stay in the Cottage. First, we came to check out the area and get a feel for having our son's wedding here. Then we came back for that wedding with a large group, rented the entire Cottage and having the wedding at their venue in another old house. The people here are great! The wedding was marvelous, and everyone bent over backwards to make sure we had a lovely time before and during the wedding. We had the rehearsal dinner here, ended up having to move the wedding inside, rather than risk the rain outside, and had a sit-down dinner after the wedding here. It was fabulous! We highly recommend these good folks and their beautiful accommodations!
- Q7933TLkarend (10/5): Carriage Lane Inn Murfreesboro TN – What a Find! - I give the Carriage Lane Inn the highest rating. I spent 4 delightful nights at the Carriage Lane in the “Middle Tennessee Room”. Located in the “Cottage”, a small house with a full kitchen and four individual bedrooms, the Middle Tennessee Room was charming, clean, and had a whirlpool bathtub. The patio and small backyard made this the perfect choice for me. The innkeeper, Victoria, was very helpful. Although the breakfast voucher for “the City Café” instead of a breakfast at the B&B may seem unusual, it worked just great. The food at the café was very good and the service couldn’t have been better. If you plan to visit Murfreesboro and are looking for an experience that is not your usual “motel/hotel” stay, this definitely the place to stay.

It is a room in a house and you get a voucher for breakfast redeemable at a nearby restaurant. So that took away greatly from the experience. Guess I didnt read enough reviews to know that. So for me the higher price was not worth it.

Carriage Lane Inn was a lovely, quiet respite after enjoying all the busy family activities. We enjoyed the large Burgundy Room with its comfy bed and large bathroom. Victoria and Darrell kindly made a space heater available which was needed in the bathroom when the temperatures hit new lows. Victoria and Darrell are gracious hosts. We enjoyed walking around the historic neighborhood and breakfast at the City Cafe.

Victoria and Darrell are very warm and friendly, and the hospitality they show is second to none. Each room is themed and very comfortable. The Carriage Lane Inn is our home away from home, and we always feel as if we're staying with family. I highly recommend passing up the chain hotels, and staying with these gracious hosts. We also love the City Cafe!

The room had all facilities including breakfast bar, stove, fridge and separate living area. Great location with approx. 10 minute walk to local eateries and 15 minutes to the Mansion. My only complaint was the location of the air conditioning compressors which were located outside the room - which made sleep impossible.

- jodir220 (10/5): Friendly, convenient, comfortable, clean - I have been a regular visitor to the Carriage Lane Inn and have found the place and the people hosting to be wonderful. I usually stayed in the Fireside and the Garden rooms in the main inn. The rooms were always exceptionally clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the use of the modern kitchen was very convenient. The owners are always prompt in communication, friendly, and helpful to work out any details. The inn is close to the university, and the historic town square is within easy walking distance.

- B&Bfan (4/5): - On line it said the B&B was full and we were reserving the last room out of 8 rooms. We looked forward to an enjoyable conversation with other guests over breakfast but there actually were no other guests. Nor was there a nice home cooked breakfast-instead we were handed a voucher to a diner that we had to leave the B & B to get to with diner quality food. The B&B was rather shabby and the seating in our room was worn out and soiled. The mattress was not very good. Definitely not worth the price. Overall I would not recommend this to others. It is not a typical B&B experience. On the plus side there was plenty of hot water.

It was a wonderful evening of Irish dancing after a wonderful formal full course supper. The chef was excellent as were the hostesses. The food was superb. Highly recommend this stop for you.
- MaggieBtravels (8/5): Nice Place to stay - Interesting historic property with tons of potential. Being restored so some areas were worn. Everything we needed for our stay was very clean though. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. The "breakfast" was provided by a local restaurant and four blocks away. We were given a coupon for $8 each. We were a little taken aback by that at a B&B, but it turned out to be very cool. It was a lovely morning walk through locals neighborhoods where everyone greeted you. The restaurant was near the historic downtown square. It was obviously a local gathering spot, the oldest continually serving restaurant in Tennessee. Food was made to order and very good. Service was excellent southern hospitality, and $8 was more than fair to cover your meal!!!

If you like eclectic and vintage from Victorian and onward this will be fine for you. If you are looking for fully updated and pristine the property may not be for you. A breakfast voucher is given to you for a wonderful cafe on the square, typical small town and delicious. It is located on the former Oakland’s plantation.

We put our things from our cooler in the fridge overnight. The bed slept well. We went to the City Cafe for breakfast and that was also a great experience. Our vouchers covered our whole meal - a win win situation! We were close to the event venue we came to town for, and Frank (the person who signed us in and showed us everything) told us tricks to getting there that the GPS just doesn't know. Overall great experience and if we ever have the need to stay in Murfreesboro again, I would definitely go back there. Excellent value!

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Quaint B&B at a very reasonable price. Very authentic with modern conveniences. Very quiet and privacy respected. If you are looking for updated surroundings, this isn’t it. Old windows etc but nice. We stayed in one of three similar houses that make up the B&B. There is also an event facility connected which and nice outdoor gardens for weddings etc. Breakfast is vouchers for a local restaurant which was very good. I would recommend, just know it is authentic and not upscale.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Quaint and Charming place to stay - Mattress was older but soft and comfortable. Place was old and charming. Could use a little bit of renovation. House was built in late 1800's so I am sure it requires touch ups often. Just noticed minor things like need for touch up paint in my room and one window was cracked, also plug in had hole in wall near it. These things did not effect my comfort or stay. Overall was very happy with my stay and I would definitely stay there again. The inn keeper was very friendly and kind. She made me feel very welcome and comfortable. Place was very clean and neat.

- ann (10/5): - Staying at the Inn was a memorable experience for my first trip to Murfreesboro. It is located in the historic district and breakfast was provided at the City Cafe, which was excellent. It was a very good value for my time there and I would recommend the Inn to others!
- Lois (10/5): Lovely bed and breakfast. Comfortable nicely devo - Easy check in. Standalone bed and breakfast. The owner lives next door. Lively backyard with porch swing. Beautiful neighborhood. Breakfast was a voucher at the City Diner on the square. Great breakfast, wide choices and if you listen carefully, some local gossip.
- Helene (10/5): Such lovely rooms - This is a lovely B&B (breakfast is 2 blocks away in town) with full use of the kitchen and sitting rooms. There was even a porch swing outside - my favorite. The staff couldn't be more helpful. Each room has it's own theme and furnishings. While I know there were other people staying there, I really didn't hear anyone the whole time I was there. Quiet, safe, friendly and lovely. I couldn't ask for anything more.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We were pleased with our room. The place was clean and comfortable and the owners were amiable. The only issue we had was that the television in the room is small and old and there were no extra blankets in the room. Overall we enjoyed our stay!!
- Hannah (10/5): What a lovely place to stay! - Victoria was an absolutely amazing hostess. We ended up arriving pretty late at night but she had us all set up. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. We felt like we were visiting friends.

Really sweet staff. Very helpful. Place was very clean and breakfast the next day was great at Pucketts. Would stay again for sure.
- Roger (6/5): Bed & Cafe? - Host was friendly and welcoming. Wifi reception was poor. Surprised to get only a voucher for breakfast at a local cafe (one that could legitimately be called a "greasy spoon") rather than the type of breakfast one would usually expect at a B&B.
- Brian (10/5): Lovely! - We loved our stay here. The house was beautiful. The family who own the inn were extremely nice and accommodating. Our room was very clean and comfortable. It was very convenient to food and everything you could need. It's a nice affordable option to big box hotels. If we are ever in that area again we will definitely be staying there again.
- Dawn (10/5): Charming and relaxing - We were checked in by the very sweet and attentive owner. She was available when we needed questions answered and took good care of us. The room was adorable and she made sure we had everything we needed before she left us. The bed was hard and uncomfortable , but the decor was charming and the room felt very homey. There is a full size kitchen downstairs as well as table and grill outside.I loved the front porch swing and the pond with waterfall feature.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Great alternative for Murfreesboro stay! - Home is in a lovely, quiet setting. Great porch and yard area. Lot of birds chirping in the trees; very relaxing. The Patricks were very accommodating, warm and friendly. A nice alternative to the hotel chain experience. The commute to Nashville, Franklin, Brentwood is a doable drive if you are visiting the area.

If you're looking for something away from the loud & impersonal chain hotels, this is it. It's an old home turned into a B & B - with quirks and flaws, which make it unique. Owners were friendly & attentive. Loved the vouchers for breakfast and the local restaurants - great way to support more small businesses In the square and get a feel for the area. Would definitely stay again if in the area!
- Sherri (10/5): Family Visit - I rented a room for some family that came to visit. The place was wonderful! The rooms were so quaint and really clean. The staff made us feel like family! I love the old Victorian styled homes and the grounds looked great too. They reminded me of English Gardens. Will definitely book again!

- mama g (8/5): Unusual - We chose the B&B because it had a room with a double bed and 2 twin beds and we had our son and friend staying in a room with us so getting the two twin beds was very nice without having to book two rooms. But sadly the double bed we slept in was the hardest bed we have encountered. The twin beds were okay. We looked in other rooms that were open and the mattresses in those rooms looked softer than what we had to sleep on. The room was unique in shape with plenty of room but low angled ceiling and very narrow door and entrance to bathroom. A room set up for 4 people and there was 1 very small chair casual chair, but you had other sitting room choices through out the house. The twin beds had to be crawled into from the foot of the mattress, which would be fine for small children I guess.

- Jeanine A. (8/5): convenient home in historic district - We arrived after dark. We checked in next door to where we were staying. Hard to see due to no outdoor lighting in back. First night we barely slept due to 78 degree thermostat set by another guest. Would strongly recommend individual room thermostats. Breakfast was not served on premises. We had vouchers to eat in downtown historic cafe which we enjoyed. Overall, it was a nice experience. The owners were very nice and accomodating.
- Nancy (10/5): Beautiful B&B - We were booked into another property, but were directed by phone to another B&B. The owner was there to greet us. Beautiful home with interesting features. Lovely bedroom and bath. Points off, however, for no grab bar in the tub/shower. Also a/c turned on and off all night and due to the location of the vent over the door, blew cold air directly onto the bed. We slept with covers over our heads! Lovely breakfast the following morning. The owners are very security conscious.
