Guest Reviews
- Sawrasit (2/5): - Ok

- Dirk (8/5): - The room was spacious. The hotel is good, well priced and breakfast is also very OK.
Unfortunately my room looked out on the parking space in the front. Late at night and early morning, 7 a.m., two large buses arrived that kept their engines running. Also the pigeons on the window sill (4th floor) were annoying. Any next time I will request a room at the back.
- liselottew281 (8/5): A good stop over - Just a quick stop over between Surat Thani and Huay Yang. We came by train and had a tub tub take us there.
The hotel has a good location. Easy check in. The room was clean and working well. Internet was good.
Breakfast was ok, but since the hotel mainly cater to Thai there were not much western food.
A good nights sleep. Nothing fancy but worked well.
- nealo832 (8/5): Perfect Transit Hotel - I have recently used this as a transit hotel both ways between Hua Hin and Nakhon Si Thammarat.
Helpful staff, large, clean rooms, and a very large car park.
Directly across the road is a fantastic little restaurant, Green Kitchen.

- Armin (8/5): - Gutes Hotel für super Preis
- Chris (8/5): - Huge modern hotel with large rooms for 680 baht. Strong WiFi (each room has its own router) and friendly staff. Wide choice for breakfast. As a vegetarian I was able to have toast, fried eggs and fresh fruit. Everything else had meat or meat products. Location is very central. Bear in mind the walls in the hotel are super thin. There was ‘adult activity’ going on next door day and night, and I could hear everything. Which wasn’t great.
- Boonlertsa (6/5): Overall was good, but.... - I stay here only for 1 night room quite good, large, and comfort. Key card socket very hadr to turn on the electric power, TV was not on as mention channel, light is qiute dark, no balcony at all. Breakfast was not appreciate on the check in date the lady at front desk told me breakfast is at the second floor, next morning they tole me please go to another restaurant and food all were cold, The lady at front desk staff on the check out date was not very attentive. Not eihter say hellow and farewell, while checking out ask me to wait more than 30 minutes to check the room and payment event I told them that the room charge was done by the organizer.
- Bruno (6/5): - Lage im Ort gut. Personal freudlos. Einrichtung von vorgestern
- RunLympyRun (10/5): Will stay here again - Easy to book. I made a request through Agoda, and the hotel contacted me to confirm my request. They gave us connecting rooms. Price was great. Staff were friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We like firm beds though. Would stay here again.
- angelok464 (8/5): Great hotel for what you pay - Great location as a stop over to Samui. Rooms are basic but were fairly clean. Breakfast was included but it is the usual breakfast you would find in a Thai hotel. Ample car parking and near to a night market area selling lots of great street food.
- Carol (8/5): Overnight stay - Comfortable room, large bed and clean. Bathroom was dated and not much hot water. Great location to restaurants and fantastic coffee at Coffee Bar 99 which was just around the corner.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very bad internet, very hard bed, would have to be renovated.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - the hotel is pretty old. however, it's reasonable price
- teddy (4/5): - To ensure that room and sheets are properly cleaned.
- gibbonLydia (8/5): Pretty good room, great service - There aren't a lot of options in Chumphon town but this is probably my favorite one. As others have mentioned, the beds are rock hard. But the location is perfect - close to the night market and the mall (and the train station) but tucked away on a quiet road. In addition to the great location, the service was excellent! The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and even checked us in a little early. I didn't eat breakfast here this last visit but I have in the past and it was pretty good! I'll stay here again the next time I am in town.
- borderlinevictim (4/5): Very Disappointing - From the outside it looks like it is a reasonably good hotel but appearances can be deceptive. The rooms are sparsely furnished and the bed was unbelievably rock hard and very uncomfortable. The air-conditioner was cold enough but very noisy. The bathroom is poorly designed so you have to squeeze between the door and the wash basin just to get to the toilet. I am quite thin and I believe it would be a real struggle for a larger person. The WiFi signal inside the room was very poor and erratic and it was almost impossible to access the internet most of the time. I paid extra for buffet breakfast but at just after 8.30am there was almost nothing left and the staff were not interested. I could not possibly recommend this hotel to anyone
- rudder15 (8/5): Cheap and nice, thin walls - I have stayed here a few times. Cheap rooms and a nice place, only complaint would be the walls are super thin between rooms. Like literally can hear someones phone vibrate in the room next to yours. But overall pretty good for the price.
- banoffeec (6/5): hotel in a town - The hotel is a standard hotel nothing special. Clean room with clean bed and private bathroom. Unfortunately we have an overnight booking the same day with the big tour group stay, The wall cannot help to protect any noise from the room nearby even they open the bathroom door we also heard it. The breakfast is ok.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Although the hotel is quite old with few amenities in the room, staffs are sooooo nice and sooooo kind. They're looking forward to help you to arrange your trip properly.
Breakfast walk-in price is 150 THB/pax. There are ABF, some Southern foods with rice, porridge, soy milk, coffee, tea, bread and fruits. Anyway, there are another two famous dim-sum restaurants in front of the hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5):

- SuzannahA (6/5): Huge rooms but the hardest bed ever! - The biggest room we have had for a while. A bit bland, could do with a nice table and chairs or just a couple of chairs to relax on rather than just the bed and one hard wooden chair. As I say the bed was like a board, hideous!!! could hardly wait to get up in the morning it was that hard!
The bathroom had very poor lighting and the bath tub is the smallest we have come across! We are not huge people I promise you, just tall and it was not at all relaxing, we had to sit scrunched up.
Breakfast was a Thai buffet, not my cup of tea at all. For a western palate there was a little bit of fruit, fried eggs and some very sad cardboard white bread to toast. Not impressed!
Hotel.com
- TerjeHoegberg (6/5): Good value for money - I came, like almost all the other tourists, to Chumpon on my way from Bangkok to the three islands: Koh Tao, Koh Phangan and Koh Samui. Arrived Chumpon by train and spent one night in town at Nana Buri Hotel before I next morning headed for the port and the islands. The hotel has a good location, close to the railway station and close to the charming night market . Spacious clean rooms, ok wifi, ok breakfast, no safety box in rooms but in the reception and good value for money.
- mandymcdermott13 (8/5): Cant complain at the price! - Chumphon is very much a 'pass through' town for tourists who are passing through for the ferry port to and from the three islands of Koh Toa, Koh Phangyan and Koh Samui. For this reason, there isn't much in the way of attractions for visitors of very interesting or luxurious places to stay. We were looking for the same as most people passing through Chumpon...a cheap and clean place to stay that was close to the train station for a one night stay before heading onto the ferry port the next day. For this, the Nana Buri ticked nearly all the boxes. Super cheap, very clean (albeit old and soulless) hotel was just fine for our needs. Only minor issue was the location. Only a 7min tuk tuk journey or 15 min walk from the train station, however, it is in a dead end road which is very deserted after around 7pm. I generally feel safe in Thailand and was with my husband on this trip but would not recommend this particular location if you are a solo traveller or wish to have a hotel that is footsteps away from late opening bars or restaurants.
Free wifi was good enough to top up on netflix downloads overnight before trip the next day.
Staff English level was pretty poor but they tried really hard and were smiley and friendly.
Read other reviews about the beds which I agree with to some extent, Have never seen hard mattresses like these - actually like gym class crash mats which were leather and so hard but I had an awesome nights sleep so cant complain!
Overall extremely cheap and convenient!
- Mike_gwilo (8/5): a hidden gem - this is a beautiful little hotel located just across the road from some of the most pristine beaches on mainland Thailand. Not the easiest to get to, but reasonably priced and well maintained make it worth the trip!
- Sai_Nawng_Hkio (8/5): Spacious room with value for money - A good location, spacious room (800 Baht/night/person), including decent breakfast, lots of car parking spaces available, bilingual (English) speaking friendly staff. For those who wants to try tasty street food, just walk out from the hotel to the street and vendors are around 10 minutes walking distance.
- urs (8/5): Relaxing get away - The hotel restaurant served clean and healthy Thai food, however the preparation was average at best. Simple beach restaurants around Chumphon cook much more tasty Thai food then the one you are served in this hotel
- Bharat (6/5): Value for Money for short stay - The rooms were large. Bedding was hard. Breakfast was well laid. Staff was very friendly.
