Guest Reviews
- Carlos (8/5): - a
- Ryan (4/5): - The door to the balcony was broke and difficult to open and close. There were ants in the kitchen so we could not use the kitchen. The maintenace man came at 11pm knocking to spray for ants. I spent hours searching for the perfect place for our family vacation and booked months in advance and now my kids will probably remember it as "the place with the ants". When I spoke with the manager she would not move us rooms due to no rooms available and would not reimburse me.
- BOBBIE (4/5): - The room was nice, but once I arrived they were demanding me to pay again after everything was paid on full before I arrived, having to talk to the manager then finally common up with a lame excuse that it's the new computer. Next as you get ready to go to your room you are stopped and harassed to go on a tour to purchase a time share. There is plunty of parking but they charge you 25 dollars a day to park on thier property. This place is all about the money.
- Teasha (2/5): - We had just gotten off our flight in San Diego to be informed by email that they had overbooked the property we were staying at and they were canceling our reservation. I spent over four hours on the phone with people playing the blame game trying to get a new reservation at a different property that would be comparable and close to the party we were traveling with but everywhere was booked. We finally had no choice but to be downgraded for something we had paid in full for two months earlier. Over booking and canceling someone’s reservation the day of arrival is extremely unprofessional and Very poor business practices in my opinion. Not to mention, that this was a pretty awful and unsettling experience for our family. Makes me very Leary to trust and book with Expedia in the future
- Stephen (10/5): - Nice place far drive from
Amenities
- Lisa (2/5): Do not recommend - Room had roaches so they moved us but then the next room had bedbugs.
Manager refunded my money.
- Stephanie (8/5): - This was a nice property and the staff is friendly; however, the parking garage is really compact and tough to maneuver if you don't have a small car. Parking is also $25/night which I wish I would have known prior to booking. We got a complimentary gift bag upon checking-in which I thought was nice, but they also tried talking us into going to timeshare meetings which I wanted no part of. Outside of that, the property seemed to be well maintained and relatively quiet which was nice.
- Troy (2/5): Dont stay wont honor prepaid reservation - Didnt honor our reservation. When we arrived said the were overbooked and had canceled our prepaid reservation. Front desk front desk did nothing to help.
- JANETTE (10/5): - My family felt at home immediately. The kitchen and amenities was perfect for y family.
- Rodrigo (8/5): - WiFi should be free television stream
- Souphab (8/5): - The room was clean and spacious. The paid WIFI is horrible. It's best to get a WIFI puck from the front desk. The problem was it was all checked out by other guess. We had to rely on our phone data for internet to complete our work. I would call the front desk everyday and they would tell me it was not available. after several days, I decided to walk to the front desk and magically they had plenty. They only clean the room once a week, you'll have to call and schedule the cleaning. Another thing I really dislike is right after you check in and get your room keys, they want to go speak with a representative pretending to provide you a gift but it's just a Time Share rep that's trying to get you to sign up. I've staye there several times now and this time I told the lady I'm not interested in Time share and proceed to walk to my car. She followed me all the way to my car just to get my information. Be prepare to be directed to the Time Share rep after checking in.
- Mary (6/5): - Kitchen was very nice. No wifi. They said they were working on it but according to other reviews its always this way. No excuse day and age. They try to get you into a time share meeting.
- Diane (10/5): Family fun - I can't say enough about this place. Everything is brand new. Super clean, Eco-friendly rooms and the staff was superb. The two-bedroom two bathroom suites are large and come stocked with everything to make it your home away from home. Great location for a family-filled getaway. We will definitely come here again.
- Barry (8/5): - what a great reasonable place with a great location to down town, balboa park, san diego zoo etc.
- analyssa (10/5): - Best hotel i’ve ever stayed at! Everyone is so friendly , and they accommodate to your request 10/10 will book again!
- John M (6/5): - Did not know this was a time share property. Was not impressed with the full court press timeshare sales ambush. Booked this on Expedia thinking it was just a hotel room booking. Shame on you Expedia.
- Erica (6/5): - The hotel itself has lots of potential. Spacious, comfortable bed. There was hair in the tub, lots of dust and walking barefoot or with socks showed the floor had not been mopped very well. The balcony is huge and I had plenty of space and also a nice kitchen area to sit and visit with my family. The refrigerator was full size. There was free washer and dryers on my floor. My room had a sponge, paper products, dish soap, dishwasher powder, laundry detergent and a basket for use. Parking was 25 a night with no free WiFi. The car garage was well maintained with lots of parking. Hall carpet was in need of cleaning. I saw the same bandaid stuck to the floor for the duration of the trip. When I first checked in the front desk allowed me to go to my room a little early but, then I was bombarded by a very pushy team of ladies trying to sell a timeshare. I had just driven 9 hours and needed to use the restroom. This was ignored as I tried to walk backwards to leave to my car. Overall, we had a very nice trip. Hotel is a 3 star. The road to the area is a little run down. Closest restaurant is Benihana. I left the cleaning crew 20 bucks tip because it is a large two bedroom to clean up. I ran the dishwasher and turned down the used bedding. I told the front desk I was leavi by and verified there was nothing else expected of me before departing.
- Patrick (10/5): Fantastic - This place is awesome. Two bedroom villa with a full working kitchen. Free ice, Free Laundry. Right next to the mall. Lots of other stores and restaurants near by. And a 10-15 minute drive from anything you'd want to do in San Diego. Would stay here again. Strongly recommend
- Raymund (10/5): - Pros: 1 bdrm apartment. Full size kitchen (fridge, sink, dishwasher, oven and range). Separate living room and bedroom. Balcony overlooking the pool. Though nothing was around within walking distance (except for Benihana), the property is close to several places in the San Diego area of you’re driving/Ubering.
Cons: Paid parking. A separate counter near the entrance/exit of the lobby - they said that they were part of the check in team but they’re liars. They’re trying to get you to sign up for extras/time shares AND ARE NOT A PART OF THE CHECK IN PROCESS. Small pool and small hot tub (but they work!).
Was surprised at how spacious the room was; a legit 1 bedroom apartment (without washer/dryer in the unit). They charged for parking but there was plenty of off street parking available. Location of the property was on a dead end road (one way in and one way out). Definitely will stay here again when I’m down in San Diego. Great bang for your buck!
- Briana (2/5): - You have to pay for internet everyday. The more devices the more you pay. You have to pay for parking or you can park on the street where there is none. If you are not a timeshare holder and just visiting the front desk will bother you to try and sell things. Oh! And the internet you pay for doesn’t work on the TVS it always disconnects. Please don’t have a problem with it because you will have to call a It Number and troubleshoot your own internet. Terrible stay.
- Daniel Ray (10/5): - Location was perfect
- Trish (10/5): - Excellent stay. Convenient home away from home. Highly recommend this property
- Bodie (2/5): - Arrived to find out they had no room for me because construction after booking it weeks in advance and tell me to call some number and I’ll be “placed” somewhere else. Told them just refund me which they approved the refund through Expedia.
- Charles (10/5): - Great room
- Andrew (8/5): - We had a great time in San Diego on a brief stop over before heading to Anaheim. A couple things to be wary of:
1) The parking garage costs $25 / day and is really tight. Wouldn't want a large SUV.
2) Wifi is not free. For 3 nights that we were mostly gone it wasn't a big deal, but if you are planning on spending time in your room it's annoying.
3) The pool was really small. Like tiny. If more than 6 people are in it, there is really no swimming possible.
Other than that, we really enjoyed our time. Clean, full kitchens, free laundry, and close to a lot of the sights: 10 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes to the zoo, 10 minutes to the port, and 20 minutes to Sea World.
- Olaf (10/5): - Very quiet room and friendly staff
- Paula (8/5): - Information provided about shuttle service was confusing. Spoke to different personnel regarding how the shuttle worked and information was different each time.
Hotel nice and clean. Staff were always friendly and welcoming.
- Madeline (10/5): - The room was very clean and spacious!
- Mark Jim (8/5): - Was vary close to everything. They wouldn’t take no for answers when trying to get us to go to the seminar which was very annoying.
- Stacy (10/5): - Loved the layout for our needs. It wads perfect! Had everything we needed for a couple and 2 single people in our party. Convenient location to shopping, beaches and Snapdragon Stadium
- Valencia Ross (10/5): - Enjoyed the stay but would advise to request the 4th floor so that you don’t hear anyone walking above you.
- Cassandra (10/5): - Having laundry rooms were great. Paying for parking was the only drawback. The hotel was great though. Large rooms and everything you needed in terms of kitchen items.
- Chlo'e (8/5): - Great property but didn’t like that it was a timeshare, I was there for a convention and had no time for their timeshare speech. But other than that my room was nice, spacious, full kitchen and bath and the bed was super comfortable.
- Eloise (10/5): - I loved have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms so my family could spend time together.
- Jessica (10/5): Everything we needed and close to activities - Loved the kitchen, had everything we needed. Close to Target and Trader Joes which was nice. Beds were comfy and balcony was nice. Only thing is the floor could have been mopped as our feet were very dirty by the end of the night but definitely not a deal breaker. Would 100% stay here again! Also forfot something in the room and got a text saying they found it and shipping it to me. Great place for a family stay.
- glen (10/5): - Great
- Subrata (10/5): - Overall good experience! Didn’t knew it’s a time share complex. Good for family with kids!
- Yanina (10/5): - Wish they didn’t make a big deal about staying longer and didn’t tell me that they had to find a manager 2 times , like why not make it easier for people to do
- Shonal (6/5): - Pretty disappointed about the fact that it was dirty. I had to ask for new towels because the ones that was in the room when we checked it had a very bad odor. The floors were very dirty, bed sheets were smelly. Kitchen hand towels were smelly. The pull out bed looks like it had prior used sheets. Being on the first floor close to the BBQ station meant no privacy. We had ppl hanging out that could see everything inside so we had to keep our blinds closed at all times. It was loud and not what I was expecting.
- Sanjay (10/5): - Very open floor plan and friendly staff
Very convenient and close to everything
- Shushanik (10/5): - Great place, clean and provides everything you would need for your stay. I will definitely come back.
- Natasha (10/5): - 👍
- Carrie (10/5): - Property was nice and convenient to downtown San Diego
- Laura (8/5): - Easy to get around close to Balboa park and Coranado Island
- Peter (4/5): - Slow, painful
- Robert Eugene (6/5): - Very noisy
- Alonzo (10/5): - Awsome
- LUNGALA (10/5): SHORT BUSINESS TRIP TO SAN DIEGO CA - VERY WARM WELCOME BY LAURA AND TEAM AT THE FRONT DESK. LAURA WELCOMED ME WITH A COMPLIMENTARY BOTTLE OF WINE TOO. AND ALSO KIND WELCOME BY RAFAEL WHO EXPLAINED ALL THE RESORT PERKS.
WAS A SHORT BUT VERY PLEASANT STAY. I WILL DEFINITELY STAY THERE AGAIN!!
- Kelli (10/5): - We were really surprised by everything from check in to check out. Very clean rooms, my kids loved the pool, and parking was easy to get to our rooms.
- Dawna Jean (10/5): - Very good hotel
- Douglas (8/5): - We really enjoyed our stay at the Worldmark in Mission Valley! It was very quiet and relaxing. I was a little worried about the timeshare pitch and after reading the reviews my spouse was a little short with that staff member because we didn't want to get trapped and had no interest in a timeshare. I felt bad, but we skipped the pitch thankfully.
The only downsides were that the room had a slightly funky smell likely due to older AC unit. We just opened the balcony door and window and left it open for the most part to avoid that smell.
The bed was *super* firm which some may like but I had a rough time sleeping on that mattress, but my spouse slept like a baby so take that with a grain of salt!
Other than those two issues, everything was perfect and we had a great time. I'm sure we would come back!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean and kids friendly.
- Avinash (8/5): - Studio was nice, comfy and spacious overall.
Only downside is that parking on premises is not free and wifi is not free
- DJ (8/5): - The staff was friendly and courteous. The room was spotless and bed was very comfortable. What I did not like was the $25 parking fee. We had to find parking in the street.
- Vasty (10/5): - We will be back. Great price point for area. Loved the shopping and restaurants.
- Lynda (10/5): - The staff was excellent! We were greeted each time we entered the lobby with smiles and friendliness. My only complaint is that I wasn't informed about the paid parking before check-in
- Ghassan (8/5): - I like the area
- Kaija (10/5): Great place to stay. Not too far from all the fun. - Clean room. Speedy check in and check out. Deposit is $250. Ray at the front desk was awesome! Very polite and professional. He allowed me to check out at 11am, as my little family had some laundry finishing up. Oh speaking of laundry, it was free to use both the washers and dryers, and they provided two small laundry soaps as well. The machines are quite new and in good order. The pool is tiny however it is heated pretty well and the hot tub was perfect after a long day at the parks. The room is fully equipped with everything you need to make a meal. Everything in the room and around the resort was clean and in good repair. Loved having a balcony for my morning coffee and my evening nightcaps. It was fairly quiet as well; we never heard our neighbors if we had any, and the only time we heard any volume was around the VIP area where the timeshares are held. Speaking of timeshares, we were never once asked to attend or had any sales pitches. Maybe because we had children with us? I don’t know but anyway we will definitely be back to stay here soon!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The condo was great. Kitchen was well equipped. Staff was friendly and inclusive. My only complaint is charging for WiFi. Just seems greedy. Loved the hotel though. Would stay there again.
- John (10/5): Happy - Had a Great time. Nice place.
- Doug (6/5): - The room was nice, though a bit dated. The "resort" has terrible Wifi and limits the number of devices that can connect for free. It really feels like a 2000's location rather than a 2020's location.
- Ariel (2/5): - Two day before we were to leave for our vacation we were informed that our reservation was cancelled and that we were being forced to go to another hotel due to over booking. Since it was so close to arrival date there were very few places with availability. Instead of 1 room holding my whole family we were separated into separate rooms. The hotel we were forced to go to was not clean had very little amenities, didn’t feel safe with broken locks, completely shut off the water 1 whole day and was constantly out of supplies. We planned our vacation 4 months again and we were also looking at air bnb so we could all be together but found this worldmark instead which filled our needs and made the reservation. Very disappointed with how things worked out.
- Amanda Lane (8/5): - The location in relation to everything in San Diego is convenient. The layout of the two bedroom/two bathroom condo was perfect for our family of 5.
- Bryan (4/5): Not a good experience - Had to move rooms due to rain pouring in the room from the balcony and the 2nd room also had a pretty crazy leak from the A/C. The place needs a lot of work and its quite annoying to get hassled when you check in to buy a time share. Won't be going back here.
- Richard (2/5): - I didnt stay at the world mark they cancelled my reservation the day of my reservation 2 hours before check in.....and the sad part is i was on a flight from Philadelphia and didnt find out till i landed
- neelam (10/5): - Everything was great. It had enough kitchen appliances. It was so great for me.and my family.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location - Two rooms, two bathrooms with kitchen and sitting room. Loved the space. Perfect for a family. Traffic noise only noticed when outside but sounded like the ocean to me if I used my imagination. Parking fee is a disappointment. Location great for just about any type of day travel. I would stay here again but only if it's cheaper than other options after keeping the parking fees in mind.
- Milcah (10/5): - On our second day nobody came and check our room. We had to throw away all our trash out instead
- Mariclaire (10/5): - Beautiful and very friendly and helpful staff
- Ben (4/5): - Inconvenient. Looked like low income apartments that had been converted into a hotel. Whole time there they keep trying to sell you time share. Don't stay here.
- Margaret (10/5): Felt like home - Loved the 2 bedroom set up and kitcyen was well equipped. location was great and easy enougb to get to all the surrounding activities if you have a car. Pool was pretty warm and our 4 year old loved it.
- Melanie (10/5): Nice location - Good location, but no wifi access
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great experience, but I forgot to inform staff the refrigerator ice maker was inoperable in my suite #241
- Victoria (8/5): Girls' Trip to San Diego - Check in was ok, front desk didn't give us any details, map or explanation of where we could find any amenities in the hotel. We realized after we got to the room and finally found the QR code with some information. Room for the most part was clean and was fantastic for our needs. Kitchen could use a bit of a deeper clean, there was what looked like spilled coffee down the front of the lower cabinets, etc. The rest of the room was great and perfect for our needs.
Overall we had a great time, wish the hot tub had been open and we definitely could've done without the hard sell "welcoming" crew trying to get us interested in a timeshare. Luckily our husbands weren't with us, so the high pressure stopped pretty quickly.
Paid parking is a ridiculous additional fee that was pretty well hidden in the description.
Hotel is very centrally located for a weekend trip to San Diego. Easy on and off the freeway, lots of food/groceries nearby.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice room and amenities big downer is parking fee - place is great . clean hallways . clean elevator. Parking is too expensive $25/ nite and no other options . The company need to rethink that. after you check in they direct you to time share Salesperson . They gave a small baggie with small water kids size oreo and gummie bear bag
- Roman (6/5): - The place is nice but one of the time share guys was super pushy and annoying. Some of the staff could have been friendlier.
- Conchita (4/5): - Front desk was fantastic, however, after checking in, we were told to go to another desk where we were pressured about agreeing to a timeshare presentation. Not impressed. Parking was a drag. We were presently surprised with room and cleanliness at the beginning. At night, the air conditioner brought in cigarette smoke. Not sure where it came from. When we came home after a long day at Sea World, the kitchen was absolutely covered in ants. We ended up throwing away over $75 in food. The staff did respond, but very upsetting we had to make dinner expense that night. At checkout, no apologies, and was very upset I had to pay $25 for parking, when we thew away $75 in food.
- Justin (10/5): Great stay! - Loved the rooms, we had everything we needed at this hotel. Staff were friendly, room was clean!
- Ethan (10/5): - Very friendly staff and great accommodations for family.
- Kate (6/5): - Pool was nice, plenty of room in the 2 bedroom condo for 6 of us. Older property that really needs a full renovation. Smelled mildewy and often like pot being smoked as well.
- randy (2/5): - No wifi and tv not working properly
- Larry (10/5): - This hotel is beautiful. The rooms are large, clean, beds and bedding were wonderful, kitchen had everything you need, two bedrooms, two baths, living room and balcony. Everything exceeded my expectations. I will definitely stay here any time I am in San Diego.
- Beatrice (8/5): - The building was old and you could hear the stomping of other guests above you. The room was old but it served its purpose. I didn’t care for the location of our room which was a two bedroom unit. I had originally asked for a queen sized bed in the second bedroom but I guess asking for a room close to the elevator for my handicapped mother changed that request. I was grateful for the little arcade and movies offered for my 5 year old. But I didn’t like being pressed to sign up for a vacation presentation at a different location. 🙃 i could tell the unit was spot cleaned and not throughly cleaned. There was dust build up on the bathroom cabinets. I gyess it was worth the price. But then the internet went out the second day and you had to pay up front for 10 days of service.
