Guest Reviews
- dorenep627 (10/5): The trip of a lifetime!! - Everything about this place is absolutely wonderful!!! Room was amazing, views were spectacular, front office staff top notch, after a week I was ready to stay indefinitely. Unfortunately, WorldMark was not on board with my plan. We had to make ourselves leave the property during our stay because of it's beauty. We did go out and about and had fun seeing the sights and exploring the local stores.
I recommend Whale Bites in Depoe Bay, Georgie's in Newport, Otis Café in Lincoln City.
- Shelley (10/5): - Wonderful place to stay! Can’t wait to go back!
- Nicole Anna Marie (6/5): - Advertisement on Expedia says free wifi.. it’s not free. 19.95 US for 2 days for 2 devices only.
Hot tubs were nice to go sit in and watch the sun set, until you realized how murky the water was.
Then you have the guests with time shares who think they are practically property owners. The resort is nice and the room was nice and large, however I wouldn’t go back.
- sarahkF758SW (10/5): After 20 years of coming here ...still a great place to go to - All staff have been very helpful and accommodating. Cheerful and positive greeting you with a smile and hello. Activities throughout the week include making s'mores and root beer floats. We are doing 11 days two bedroom two bath. Of course we have a balcony that overlooks depoe Bay quite a few whale sightings. You want a vacation stay here this is just what the doctor ordered.
- JJR10 (10/5): Location, Location, Location - This is a large development with many units. It also has several pools/hot tubs, a tennis/pickle ball court and covered areas with gas barbeques for guest use. 1 week stay 2 bedroom/2 bath unit which was well appointed and maintained. The biggest feature is the ocean view from every unit. Full windows across entire unit offer unblemished view, complimented by large balcony with table/chairs. While not unduly diminishing the overall enjoyment, a minus comment would be directed to the very low quality of items such as toilet paper, paper towels and plastic garbage bags - all of which are frequently used and would seem at odds with the overall intent wanting to be portrayed
- classicablue (10/5): Awesome resort - Stayed here for a week. Loved everything about it. Situated directly on the ocean with panoramic views from the room and balcony. Big jacuzzi bath tub, lots of hot water, washer/dryer, everything you could possibly want in a kitchen. Spacious rooms, fireplace, swimming pool, basketball courts... you name it! Will definitely return!
- Eileen (10/5): - Loved that every room looked out onto the ocean. Layout of the condos. Staff are very friendly. The nice trail around the property.
- 901edgarc (10/5): Great place to stay! - We were running late to check in. We received a call from shannon or sherry...I cant remember...but she was sweet and checking up in us to see if we needed directions or help. That was a sign of a good start.
When we checked in the lady. Again cant remember name. Was a sweetheart. She welcomed us explained the wristband room keys and asked us to come with any questions.
We entered the rooms, they were clean...one queen and 2 twins, and the view. Perfect!!! It was warm but opening the door cooled it down. The ocean front view was amazing every day.
We had the utensils needed to make our meals.
Sunsets/sunrise when there was no fog were beautiful.
Seals, birds, whales a couple times... were all fun to watch fee steps from our room
The pools and jacuzzi were nice. And we definitely enjoyed them after long walks and visiting the surrounding beaches and stores.
Overall I rate 10 or 10. Would love to go back!!!
- jaimeelsabio (8/5): Great location - This property is in a great location with fantastic views of the rocky coast right outside the room. The unit was in good repair and seemed well maintained. It was large and spacious. The exterior of all the buildings, due to the continual sea exposure, could stand to be stained again. In today’s world and with as much owners pay in maintenance fees it seems WiFi would be free. We were on the second floor and could occasionally hear the people walking around in the unit above us. In the second bedroom one could hear the closet opening and closing from another unit, but worse, could hear the person snoring in a neighboring room. This isn’t a criticism of Worldmark rather the construction of the building.
- Kristy (8/5): - The place is beautiful. Kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes. The view of the ocean was amazing. The pools were fantastic. Parking was great. Would have been perfect if there was WIFI. Unfortunately if you are not a member and are just renting it for a night or two, like a regular hotel type booking, you don’t get free WIFI. They want you to pay extra for it. It was a downer for sure, even dumpy hotels have WIFI.
- Lanster8521 (10/5): Quick midweek get away! - Situated on the rocks just above the Pacific Ocean! Amazing views! You see the waves crash on the rocks outside your balcony door. We had a larger 3 bedroom unit! Tons of space, clean, comfortable! The views and the sound of the ocean make this venue worth the price!
- NWFolks (10/5): Pirates Cove Ocean View & Wild Life Show - Beautiful nature surrounding you from the modern comfort of your luxury condos.
The human comforts at this resort are excellent, including grills on the decks, glass patio railings for good views. Units well stocked and clean , staff friendly.
Location one of the best to enjoy all the fabulous restaurants, whale watching, fishing, glass blowing of Depoe Bay Lincoln City and New port.
- kkleinrn (10/5): You cannot beat these ocean views! - We love this location! You can’t beat this view right on the coast, you can’t get any closer to the waves rolling in to break on the rocks below your windows. The check in was very easy, they provided wrist band keys so no keeping track of cards. The units are very well maintained and clean, and it looks like updated pretty regularly - the kitchen is nice and modern with great appliances. Loved the gas fireplace, so cozy. Comfortable beds, lots of pillows, high quality linens and towels. The beach towels are just ok, but not a big priority for us. Just grateful to have them and not have to pack any. There gas BBQ was also helpful. We did have to go in search of a lighter as the clicker didn’t light. On previous visits we have seen whales, but 5 days and no whales this time, but we have seen several sea lions off our balcony. I would suggest bringing your own DVD’s if you have favorites. They have a nice cable subscription but we now are used to streaming on demand, which try as hard as we could we couldn’t manage to connect any devices to the TV to stream. We did enjoy many of the movies they had available in there office. Also you do pay extra for Internet but I feel the cost is worth it. You pay based on how many devices you want to use. For such a nice place, you have free parking, no resort fees for three pools, hot tubs, gym, playground. Highly recommend! Perfect for groups if you can get access to a week!
- 503thomasm (10/5): Wonderful week with lots of whales to watch - Clean and we'll appointed unit made for a wonderful stay.
Kitchen was very well stocked and the individual packets of spices were a nice touch. The huge tub in the main bedroom was great for warming up in after a cool day on the water.
Saw whales every day of the trip from the balcony.
The only drawback to the entire stay was the noise and stink from the seagulls, but that's nature!
Looking forward to another stay in the future.
- Foodiewife (10/5): Every single room has a spectacular view - We've been Worldmark owners since 2010. We finally made it to this resort, after having to reschedule due to COVID. We've gotten wiser to the "informational meetings" they ask you to attend-- even upping the ante with $150 gift card. Nope. We are happy with our membership just as it is. TIP: unplug your phone when you check in to your room. You won't regret it!
The room is beautiful! Housekeeping did a great job. The carpets were clean. Our kitchen area was spotless. The furniture was in good shape-- very "beachy" decor. Our bed was super comfy. We never used the second twin bedded bedroom, since it was just the two of us. As a surprise bonus, the bathtub/shower is HUGE! It's a jacuzzi as well. That's a first for us, at a Worldmark!
We really like having a fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer and drop-dead gorgeous views from our room.
Local tips: Shop at Chester's Grocery Store. They are super friendly, and even give WM owners a dozen free eggs. It's 5 minutes down the road. Newport is the closest big city-- about 15 minutes away. It's very scenic, though the bayfront is touristy. There, you will find WalMart and Safeway.
We were here for five nights. The walk along the property is along the water, and really scenic. You can walk to downtown Depoe Bay, very easily, as it's only a mile away.
Eat at Tidal Raves! Gorgeous views and really good food.
We had a hiccup with the front door lock sticking, so we couldn't get out of the room. Maintenance was slow to respond. I had to call 30 minutes later, and finally someone came over. We had no further problems.
When we drive to a Worldmark, we have a "box" we always bring. It includes our Keurig coffee maker, and the k-cups we like. The coffee they provide, now, is Folgers. Not our fave. I also bring my own non-stick skillet for cooking eggs.
This is a beautiful property and I can see why it's so popular! I doubt we'll return, only because we want to experience as many different properties as possible. Our highlight, and bucket wish list checked, was driving 2 hours north to see Cannon Beach/Haystack Rock. It's so worth the drive. Oh, and the Tillamook Creamery is a perfect stop on the way back.
- cassandra (8/5): Pushy sales but beautiful location. - The facility and condo were fabulous but the catch of the sales people trying to make us sit in on a presentation was annoying had to unplug the phones. Otherwise the view and location are worth the drive!
- boogakitty (2/5): Terrible check in experience - I’m writing a review because this is the 3rd time this has happened to me checking in while staying at this resort. We were told our unit would be ready between 3-4pm. Check in time is 4pm. They make you check out an hour early at 10am as it is because of Covid so they can clean which I understand, but to not have your room available when you check in is unacceptable. Especially when I was told on the phone when I called to confirm that they weren’t doing the staggered check in on the day I was arriving, because there wasn’t that many people checking in on that day. So why didn’t they have the room ready at 4pm on 2/3/21 if there’s hardly no one to check in? Who knows. I was told the unit won’t be ready for 35 to 45 min. Well that time came and went, so I called. The lady was rude and totally ignored me when I voiced my concern about this. Didn’t offer any solutions to this issue at all. Just said the unit won’t be ready until 5pm now. So continuing to sit in the parking lot with groceries in the car getting warm. This is ridiculous. You’d think the amount of dues we pay would pay for enough people to have your room ready when you check in. Very unprofessional in my opinion.

- ashleyvA3238DF (2/5): My husbands vacation 💕 - My husband gets one week of vacation a year. So this year we booked at Depoe Bay through my mother in law. We arrived, the check in process was easy. Everything was fine until the 3rd day out of 8 we noticed ants next to the couch. An endless supply of them. Two days later while getting a bowl out of the cabinet there was a huge roach crawling on the plates! Called that into the office...nothing! Day before we left woke up to the people upstairs kids constantly running bumping all day. Called that in... nothing because it wasn't quiet hours! I had three kids with me and none of them ran around so long and loud. I was very disappointed! The staff aside of the man I talked to the night we checked out because we couldn't take it anymore. This was very disappointing and I couldn't make a complaint because I'm not a member of Worldmark!
- shellyr912 (10/5): Right on the ocean! - All rooms have a great view. There are whales from about June through December, but it is a nice place to vacation. There are two pools and a jacuzzi to go to. I enjoyed the clam chowder at the Sea Hag and the Mexican place on the next block across the bridge.
- J1756SUjackieh (10/5): Birthday celebration with stupendous view and pounding surf at our doorstep . .. what a great getaway! - Wow! Every room here has an ocean view and so close that the ocean is pounding at your doorstep! Rooms are clean and attractive and bed was very comfortable. Amenities in room were good and stocked with all your needs. Will definitely stay here again!
- kindnhonest (4/5): Beautiful views, Lovely accommodations - We have stayed for several days over the same Superbowl weekend the last two years. Although the weather is variable, it is always a very enjoyable time. We have taken three different couples, and they are always delighted with the units and the views. This time we were in a different floor plan than last time, with no outside window in the master. However, this leaves all of the ocean view windows available to the living/dining area, which is nice. As always, the unit was very clean and well supplied, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were on the third floor, but with elevators, we had great views and easy access.
My only disappointment was with the three calls we had from sales people, the delay in getting parking passes, and the harassment from Wyndham sales staff, which we have had to deal with at every visit since they became involved. We have been Worldmark owners for over 20 years, and now are frustrated with the increasing maintenance fees and we are embarrassed for our guests with the sales pressure. We prefer to be welcomed as owners as we were prior to Wyndham. If there are updates for owners, don't take their vacation hours to communicate with them. Use email or mail the information to them.
- nicolidp (10/5): Wonderful place great service, facilities and views - This is one of my favorite places to stay on the Oregon coast the rooms are nice and the views are beautiful. My kids love to swim and because they have indoor and outdoor pools they can swim even if the weather is bad. The customer service is typically very good and the staff is helpful.
- pentajs (10/5): Best Place to Stay in Depoe Bay - The condos are always clean and well-stocked, and the VIEW is amazing! I always think of staying here first when planning to go to the beach.
The pool and Jacuzzi are always really crowded, but it's great to meet others there.
- tiffanyl619 (10/5): Relaxing Stay! - We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit, which had a hide a bed in place of the standard murphy bed you find at Worldmarks. Entire resort and rooms were clean, front desk staff very friendly! I didn't care for the layout of the unit...the hide a bed was placed right outside the master double doors, so could be a little awkward if you had another couple staying on that versus little kids. Overall, loved the resort, would just get different unit type next time. We are Oregon Zoo members and in the month of November you get 4 free tickets to the Oregon Coast Aquarium, It was fun, but not worth the price if we'd paid $100+ for 5 tickets! Its a pretty small aquarium, The wax museum and Ripleys are closed until next Spring:(
- Melbern11 (10/5): Worth the wait - When I make reservations, its always a year in advance due to the popularity of the place. Then starts the year long countdown waiting till its time to go on vacation. This place never disappoints. It's so beautiful and the views are breathtaking. I never want to leave!
- kerrieo471 (10/5): Pacific Out Your Window - We traded into this Worldmark as owners. As soon as you walked into the unit there was the Pacific Ocean. We were able to see whales from the unit and balcony and it was an easy straight walk into the town of Depoe Bay. The State of Oregon ran a whale watching observatory in town. There were Rangers and talks within the building with unbelievable views of whales and the Ocean. Depoe Bay itself has many restaurants and wine tasting establishments. A Fred Meyer and Safeway were only 20 minutes away in Newport.
The resort itself was very well maintained and the unit was clean and comfortable. We were there with another couple and their bedroom and bath were in the front of the two bedroom unit offering each couple privacy.
