• Lange (9/5): Ruhiges Hotel, welches den Fotos nicht ganz entspricht - Kleines Hotel in den Hügeln mit toller Aussicht und toll angelegten Blumenbeeten Die Zimmer wurden mit tollen Fotos beworben. Die Wirklichkeit war ernüchtern. Ebenfalls wurde mit Balkon geworben im Deluxe Zimmer, diesen hatten wir nicht.

Visiblement, un coup de peinture a été mis pour rafraîchir les chambres. La propreté des chambres est vraiment limite. Le personnel n’est pas aussi sympathique que dans d’autres hôtels. C’est surprenant car oak ray semble être une chaînes d’une dizaine d’hôtels. Le petit déjeuner et le repas sont moyens.

Park of organised tour late arrival . Cold damp room, damp towels. Accessed via many steps. Staff carried heavy baggage .I'd have left one downstairs if I'd known. Previous night at sister hotel in Kandy meant we arrived with great expectations. The tea growing area is constantly cool and misty hence so are we. Newly furbished shower room but I was giving it a miss. Plugged in a little electric fan heater briefly as felt unsafe to leave plugged in. Layered up and went for meal. Great service and excellent food. Settled in for night after positioning our heater. Awake at 6.15 to see the dawn come in through the breezy full glass bay window. Some photos taken. Pleasant enough breakfast and now able to appreciate the views. Think really a walking base. Yet we declined a 5 am wet hike. Reasonable breakfast . Unfortunately we are here 2 nights so have to stay as guide dropped us off late afternoon. Cousin catching up on sleep . Positive,naturally lit bright room but another damp night ahead. Though sure we will receive another fabulous meal attended by a great team of men. Damp breeze better name lord knows

• fraf77 (4/5): Lovely views badly thought out - Thank goodness we only stayed here for only one night as part of a tour. The negatives our room was extremely noisy so didn’t sleep much at all. The en-suite was very badly thought out we literally sat on the toilet in our own shower water might as well not bother with a shower cubicle. The positives stunning views, public areas kept nice and the staff were lovely and apologetic when we complained and gave us a free bottle of wine.

• Bingleytraveller (6/5): Not suitable if you have health issues - This hotel was booked as part of a tour , what we found was the location although good for views was away from the centre up a very very steep hill. The access to our room was via outside concrete steps which can be wet and have a steep gradient. The staff will carry your bag to the room and help but the absence of a lift makes it not suitable for people with any form of health issue. The building is looking in need of investment to bring it up to modern standards.

Waking up to the magnificent, sprawling vista of the Nuwara Eliya landscape—whether it was a mountain, garden, or even a glimpse of Gregory Lake—was truly a sight to behold. ​Given Nuwara Eliya's cool climate, having a room heater was such a blessing. Hot water in the bathroom was so good. The staffs, waiters and helpers were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The food at restaurant was excellent. The view from the room overlooks the beautiful valley. Great view. Rooms are very clean and can be accessed with few stairs climb. Hot water was excellent. Some rooms are accessible outdoors with great view of the valley. Quiet morning with mist and breeze feels good. Just very few minutes away from main town. Had a very safe stay throughout. Its a quite a narrow windy few minutes stretch walk down to town. Food and drinks are excellent. Hotel provides umbrellas during rainy day for outdoor rooms access. Luggage are handled by helpers without any hassle. Any requests are attended quickly by friendly and helpful staffs, workers and also waiters. Overall the hotel is value for money.

Both dinner and breakfast are really good. Be aware it can get pretty cold out there but the staff was so nice to give me an extra blanket and an extra stove! If you have problems with stairs there is no elevator! Still lovey and lovely people!

The General Manager was a vy kind and listens to issues responsibly and arrives at a solution swiftly. We were pleased wt his solution. The hotel is most suitable fr newly-wed couples and couples on a romantic gateway. The bathroom leading to the room is level, so water sips to the room. There should be an elevation to block water frm running out. Other areas were great, no issues.

The restaurant is perfectly situated, allowing guests to enjoy their meals with a stunning backdrop of misty hills, Gregory Lake, and the entire cityscape. We stayed in a room with a spectacular view, although getting there required climbing quite a number of steps — but as they say, good things don’t come easy! Our first meal, ordered à la carte, was truly delightful — we’d rate it 8/10 and found it even better than the buffet. From the security personnel at the entrance to the top-level management, the staff were exceptionally warm, helpful, and courteous. If someone asked me what the best thing about this hotel is, I’d say without hesitation: 1-The staff 2-The location 3-The food

If you're visiting Nuwara Eliya and looking for a peaceful stay with amazing views and heartfelt hospitality, I highly recommend Oak Ray Summer Hill Breeze. I would love to return!

Best part of the room was the excellent panaromic view of the mountains and the small beautiful garden of the hotel. The staff were very service oriented and friendly. It was at the end of a steep staircase and looked like a servants quarters with the laundry area right next door which raised questions on security. After much discussion, they offered another room which was the size of a match box and equally old and dingy, certainly not a place you would like to stay in during a holiday. The hotel definitely needs an overhaul. The staff need to listen to their customers and try to resolve their issues. The hotel did not even have a cab service. Pathetic - would not recommend.
• Seaside35717067708 (10/5): Stunning views in Nuwara Eliya - This hotel has a stunning location on the edge of a steep valley with amazing views. The rooms were very comfortable with air conditioning that worked. The food was good and the dining room has similar views of the valley. The staff were very helpful and friendly. There is a small private balcony outside each room.
• Perry (10/5): Exceptional - Special mention for Raghu who works in the bar/restaurant. Incredible service and friendliness. Can't give him enough praise. Meals were great and beers cold. Hotel was good value for money.

• Dilakshan (5/5): Not suitable for peaceful vacation - Nothing Very noisy around the room, staff access is very near by to rooms and they are always shouting, Generator smoke coming in to the room
• Landon (4/5): NO AC as advertised, the rooms were hot and filled with flies and mosquitos. The food wasn’t great. - The people were fairly nice. The views were nice. AC Window Fly Screen Water stoppped working at one point Staff lingered over us too much

• Mav_ (8/5): Very good - Hot water high pressure shower, interesting location with a view on a lake but quite challenging to get to, I would recommend a car/tuk tuk to get in, located quite high on a hill. A bit outdated but clean.
