Lords of (9/5): Wonderful rural resort, good stay - Loved the view and location, staff was exceptional. It was a slower weekend so it was quiet, and room was clean. Bed was small for a queen, door knob was a bit wonky, and room was on a second floor. All minor issues because overall it was a good stay.
Mary (10/5): My Favorite Place to Stay - The location on the St. John's River couldn't be better. Add to that the beautifully landscaped grounds and you have a perfect place to relax and get away from urban life. There wasn't anything I could complain about except, perhaps, the fact that the resort has been waiting far too long for a permit to do work needed on their former office and cafe building subsequent to some hurricane damage several years ago. This is the fault of the local authority and not the management.

Vasilya (9/5): The perfect place for a peaceful, slow-paced vacation - This is an amazing hotel in a marvelous marina location, with a spacious pool, relaxing lounge areas, and beautiful cypress trees. The room is very comfortable, the AC is quiet, and everything is impeccably clean. The neighborhood is very pleasant, I wish we could stay longer, just to enjoy this countryside area. There is a ferry station next to hotel, so you can travel to the opposite bank of the river and enjoy your day in the park

We were expecting a restaurant on property but it had been closed for renovation. The site I booked on wasn't updated. Wasn't their fault. We had a great experience. Will come here again.

The room was spacious and clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessities that were needed. The location is quite a drive to the downtown area. The resort is older with recent updates but could use a little more in updating.

Marion (10/5): It was a wonderful getaway and I highly recommend. - The location is on the water and quiet clean cottage. And it’s only a 3 minute walk to Hontoon State Park ferry. We thought it was closer to the Blue Springs State Park. It’s about a 1/2 hour away. But that’s ok.

Omar (8/5): This will probably be my go to place when staying in Deland - The overall accommodations were what are to be expected staying at a marina. Nothing fancy, basically a place to sleep. It was nice to have a kitchen in room. No premium channels on the television but plenty enough other channels if you want to hang in the room awhile. Pretty much everything was enjoyable. The only issue i had was the shower. I don't know about the hotel style rooms but if you are staying in the cottages the shower is ridiculously small.

We didn't pay for a river view, but the river was visible through our window. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and welcoming. We can't wait to go back!

Kelly (10/5): - This is a tranquil property on the St. John's river. Rooms are clean, comfortable and updated. We enjoyed listening to the frogs croaking at night across the river and watching the light change at sunrise from the balcony over coffee. We saw a morning space shuttle launch from the property too. It is about 12 minutes from restaurants and groceries in Deland. There is no breakfast served but there is an ample mini fridge/freezer in the rooms and a microwave so we bring a few snacks, a bottle of wine and breakfast supplies. The office has snacks and drinks too. Deland has plenty of restaurants, bars and a few museums to explore. There are several State Parks with Springs nearby and Volusia Speedway for dirt track stock racing.

Adam (10/5): - This property is a beautiful & quiet location right on the St.John's river. The room was spotless, and the staff was wonderful. I liked how the room and sheets smelled clean but not "Chemical" . Easy access to great fishing as well. What more can you ask for?!?!?
Slay (10/5): - Fairly secluded, but not too far off the beaten track. The river view was amazing. The staff was most accommodating. About 15 minutes away is an excellent steakhouse called the Deland Stockyard which we enjoyed. The property is well maintained and has a couple of pontoon boats for rent to enjoy the river on. Only about 30 minutes from Blue Springs State Park, which is an awesome place to take the family for the day.

Joseph (10/5): If your undecided, BOOK IT! You won't regret it! - The hotel staff were so kind and cheerful! Extremely helpful and informative. Carol was just amazing and made us feel very welcome upon our arrival and even beforehand with a nice courtesy call to verify our booking. The rooms were very clean and cozy, water pressure not the greatest but overall very satisfied with the standard rooms for the price! Having access to a boat ramp and boat slip was a big selling point for us and it didn't disappoint. Trailer parking and boathouse staff available to help you out whenever you need to launch. A short boat ride away from blue springs, hontoon island is right across from the resort, and a good ole fashioned fish camp style riverside restaurant about two miles upriver to get some great gator tail. Overall very pleased with our stay and plan on staying many more times in the future!

Todd (8/5): - Beauitiful location. Ideal if fishing, boating, etc. Not many restaurants withinin 15 minutes (a good thing for beauty and quiet). Rooms are modern, a bit atypical of small hotels like this. Well furnished. Very clean. Very comfortable. Great staff. Our door didnt quite close all the way so some extra light and noise got thru. But not a huge deal. I bookmarked the location.
Candice (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely LOVED this place, beautiful and relaxing!! Wouldn’t change anything. Only downside is nowhere close to eat.

Johanna (10/5): - One of the most unique places I’ve ever stayed. My daughter & I got to the hotel at night, so imagine our joy when we woke up & discovered the view of the river (& the manatees!!) from the back balcony. We loved it!
Jessica (10/5): Hontoon is a hidden gem - The location on the lake is a very peaceful scene, all of the homes on the road to Hontoon are gorgeous. The outdoor pool was in wonderful shape, the rooms were modern and clean and the front office staff were kind and helpful. I ended up leaving something in the room and they actually called me before I knew it was missing.

John (8/5): Will keep in mind for our next vacation to that area - Yes, very much so quiet peaceful very lay back. Just what we were looking for. Yes, sitting on the porch looking at the wildlife along. The river was very nice.

Kristin (10/5): - We booked a last minute trip from Jax for NYE in order to go to Blue Springs on the first. We arrived a bit after their closing and the front desk clerk was very accommodating and kind! Even pointed us in the direction of a local spot to grab a great dinner. It was incredibly peaceful, and clean. Riverside view was wonderful. We wish it wasn't such a quick trip, we’ll be back to rent a boat and actually enjoy the area for longer than one night!
