The room was spacious with plenty of sitting space. The bathroom had a shower and a jacuzzi. People were very helpful and friendly. Lots of local information was provided. There was not much space in the bathroom to put our staff in/on. The room was a little bit smelly of humidity.

• 944cynthiaf (10/5): Anniversary Celebration - We went to Hermanus to celebrate our 60th Wedding Anniversary and husband's birthday. Wow what a Guest House, the welcoming we received from Reception - Catering Staff - was out of this world. They pulled out all the stops - from a Chocolate on arrival with a Wedding Anniversary Wish to decorating our room - when we had gone out to eat - the restaurant they had kindly reserved for us - to find our room decorated with balloons, petals - hearts on the bed with the petals, champagne on Ice - and a gold 60 Sign. We booked for Bed and Breakfast and the breakfast was amazing - serving a cold section and hot cooked meal. The friendliness of all the staff was way beyond our expectations. The Room was clean, ensuite absolutely beautifully appointed - each evening we were given bottled water - which we felt was another wonderful gesture and chocolates when the room was turned down.

It is not. Decor is pretty naff and the workmanship of the refurb is quite poor in places - bath panel missing, electricity wall plates don’t fit properly, swimming pool not much bigger than a plunge pool.

Quite a light interior, clean and with fresh flowers throughout - staff attentive and very hospitable. We really liked the tapas restaurant Ficks opposite the hotel that has a great vista and food. Het ontbijt was heel goed en Joanna verwende ons elke ochtend met koffie en thee en lekkere eitjes. Na een flinke val werd mijn elleboog goed ontsmet en verbonden door Johan, professioneel en heel lief!! De ligging is fantastisch. De zee is aan de overkant , zo ook een “zeezwembad” met leuk terras. Je kunt van hieruit prachtig wandelen. In Hermanus lekker gegeten allemaal op loopafstand. Wij komen terug!!! Top verblijf . Niks ! Wij komen terug Johan en Joanna!

Warm welcome from all the staff who could not do enough for your. Enjoyed having a sea view room with spectacular uninterrupted views of the ocean, very comfortable room with a balcony. Breakfast was excellent and all cooked to order. Easy walk to the centre for fantastic range of restaurants, and loved spending time at Flicks across the road, what a brilliant place to enjoy dinner and drinks at sunset. Brilliant hotel and highly recommend.

The cupboards in our room were painted before we went in so there was the lingering odour from the paint which was not good to smell at night. It was difficult to manage because they were fully booked but once they could they did move us on the last night.

• petecY474UL (8/5): Good but not great - We enjoyed our stay at Hermanus Boutique Guest House but left with a feeling that it could have been even better. Starting with the positives, the room (Honeymoon Suite) was spacious and well equipped, breakfast was very good, the free wine "happy hour" was a nice touch and the location was excellent to walk to/from excellent restaurants in Hermanus. However, there were a couple areas that could be improved. Although we knew our room had an open bathroom, we didn't like the reality of it (e.g showering in full view of walkers on the Hermanus Cliff Path !!). The kitchen & waiting staff were all very friendly and helpful but unfortunately the front desk staff seemed disinterested and all gave the impression they would rather be doing something else (i.e. not very welcoming).

The breakfast was exceptional with a large variety of options & everything was made to perfection. The rooms were clean and were equipped with everything you would require on a trip. The beds were heavenly and the spa bath was a bonus! The staff were friendly & went out of their way to assist us throughout our whole stay. • Acor (10/5): Alles drin, alls dran - Das Hotel liegt in Strandnähe. Es ist sehr ruhig dort. Im Zimmer haben wir alles vorgefunden, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt braucht. Das Personal hat es an nichts fehlen lassen. Hierher komme ich bestimmt wieder.

• Julia (10/5): Perfect place to stay and to enjoy Hermanus! - We had Room 6 which was directly overlooking the sea. We saw a couple of whales and a pod of dolphins, while sitting on the balcony. We had a jacuzzi bath which was heaven. The staff were very attentive and the breakfast was amazing. We particularly loved the fresh fruit which was finely chopped in the morning. Nothing negative to say. Well done!

• Jessica (10/5): Tolle Lage, toller Service, ein Guest House zum weiterempfehlen - Zentral gelegen, sicherer Parkplatz für die Autos. Man geht aus der Tür und gegenüber geht es schon zum Wanderpfad. Ebenfalls findet man gegenüber das Restaurant „Fick’s“ mit einem natürlichen Außenpool. Wir wurden herzlich begrüßt und hatten sofort eine kompetente Ansprechpartnerin welche uns eine Wal-Tour inkl. Transfer für denselben Tag gebucht hat. Preise etc. waren immer transparent. Außerdem hat sie uns Restaurant Empfehlungen gegeben und einen Tisch für uns reserviert. Da wir etwas später von der Wal-Tour zurückgekommen sind, wurde die Reservierung prompt verlegt. Ein toller Service! Das Haus und die Zimmer sind liebevoll und sehr individuell eingerichtet. Moderne trifft alten Charme. Das Zimmer war einer der besten auf unserer Reise. Geräumig, viel Platz zum Abstellen, tolles Bad, großes und ausreichend langes Bett. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls hervorragend: ausreichend frische Zutaten, toller Service.
