We were welcomed so warmly by Hana, whose kindness set the tone for our entire stay. Mohammad, the owner, made the experience truly special by sharing stories about his incredible collection of antiques—each piece in the Dar has a soul and a history, and you can feel it in every corner. The food was absolutely delicious, prepared with care and full of authentic flavor. The entire place was pristine and beautifully maintained. Our room was stunning, comfortable, and felt like a peaceful sanctuary. One of the most magical details was the scent of orange blossoms drifting through our window—it created an atmosphere that’s hard to put into words. The terrace was equally beautiful, perfect for relaxing and soaking in the surroundings. What stood out the most was how at home we felt. Not just comfortable, but truly cared for. Tea was available 24/7, always offered with genuine warmth. Even our dog was welcomed with smiles and open hearts, which meant so much to us. The hospitality here is something rare—this is not just learned politeness, but sincere, heartfelt kindness. You can feel that every smile comes from a real place. There are honestly no words that fully capture how good we felt staying here. It was more than just accommodation—it was an experience we will carry with us.

- anna (10/5): Magico soggiorno a Fes. - Dar tipico marocchino, pulito e accogliente. Lo staff gentile, disponibile e attento, ci hanno prenotato trasporto da/per l’aeroporto e guida per la Medina. Comunicazione perfetta prima dell’arrivo e durante il soggiorno. Colazione ottima e ricca di prodotti freschi e locali. Abbiamo anche cenato per due sere da loro e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Ottima cuoca e cibo davvero buono. Comoda la posizione in prossimità di una porta che permette ai taxi di arrivare a 3minuti dal Dar. Un grazie speciale a Imane e Samir per la loro gentilezza. È accanto ad una moschea e il volume delle preghiere è piuttosto alto. Per noi non è stato un problema ma potrebbe esserlo per chi ha difficoltà a dormire.

- RQUB (8/5): - Riad (plutôt Dar) typique avec belle terrasse et petit déj copieux. Bruyant quand les personnes ne font pas attention mais comme dans tout les Riad de la medina de Fes. Dîner un peu cher mais bon. Attention il y a une mosquée a 2 pas avec le Muessin a l'aube, je conseille les boule quies.

Nice and spacious room and bathroom. Beautiful roof terrace. We really enjoyed our stay here. Nothing really. The riad was a walk away from the main tourist area; on the other hand, it was very close to one of the gates, so taxis/pick-ups were really easy.

- Lukas Manuel (10/5): Beste Unterkunft mit dem freundlichsten Personal - Sehr liebevoll eingerichtet mit hochwertigem Mobiliar, sehr sauber und die Lage ist in der alten Teil von Fes und man kann zu Fuß eine Großteil der Stadt erkunden. Eine Teil davon kann man sogar von der Dachterasse aus sehen und beim Sonnenaufgang oder Untergang das Frühstück oder Abendessen genießen. Das wirkliche Highlight sind aber das Personal Yasmina und Mohammed, die einen super freundlich und zuvorkommend begrüßen und mir bei jedem Wunsch oder Bitte geholfen haben. Sie haben sogar für mein Elektroauto mehrere Ladestationen rausgesucht. Bei meiner 2 monatigen Reise habe ich mich noch nie so wohl gefühlt! Etwas hellhörig, aber aufgrund der Lage zu erwarten

The three people that work at the front desk are so helpful and nice. Truly nice to have their help . The terrace for breakfast was lovely upstairs And they prepare all their baked goods . Also they have access to a Hammam nearby f or a relaxing service. It’s easy to be dropped off by a taxi and be picked up for transportation . The only challenge is the walk to the Medina … you can use your phone for guidance because it’s easy to get lost . It was tricky returning back . But most places in Fez are that way. It’s not a dangerous place- it’s safe. It’s just that it’s hard to figure out all the small streets and turns.. But that’s part of the charm. Hotel was lovely , my room was beautiful

Your vehicle will be safe but its a hustle for money. There is a garage right next to the hotel that is less money. If I'm in Fes again I will definitely be coming back.

- Marshmonster (10/5): I had a very nice stay at Dar Fes Medina Ziat. - The room was a good size, not crowded, and there was space in the closet to store the suitcase and hang items on the hangars provided. They served a typical Morocco breakfast that includes orange juice and a variety of breads and jams, a fried egg and, on a couple of mornings, fresh yoghurt. The riad is well located within a short walk of the Ziat entrance to the Medina so one does not have to walk far with luggage to reach it. I would have like the coffee to have been better.
- Catriona (10/5): Delightful stay in a cozy, boutique riad - This road is such a gem! The entire staff are lovely, they really made me feel at home. The design of the riad is spectacular, the old-world artisanal beauty famous to the Fes house has been perfectly maintained here. The bedding is all embroidered and gorgeous, the showers are steaming hot with fantastic water pressure, everything is immaculately clean, and the location is perfect- just next to one of the doors of the Medina so you can get a taxi easily if needed, and in a very peaceful, local neighborhood which feels wonderful after a day of the chaotic souks. They also offer the best guides and excursions, and the homemade meals are better than anything you will find in a restaurant. I will stay here every time I come to Fes! Thanks, everyone ❤️

The location in a safe and quit part of the Medina, the easy accessibility to the Blue Gate, the condition of the Dar, its beautiful decorations, the cleanliness, the very welcoming staff, all made our experience in Fes a great one. We absolutely loved the breakfast and the dinner we had there and we felt welcome throughout our stay. Everyone goes above and beyond to make you feel at home and to help (we booked our airport rides through them, and also a city tour and all went perfect). Nothing but great words for the ambiance, the staff and their hospitality. -

- Amal (10/5): - During our vacation we traveled through Morocco and stayed in various hotels. The Dar Fes Medina Ziat was by far the best. The staff are very welcoming and heartwarming. Questions are listened to carefully and assistance with arrival or departure was also no problem. Not only the atmosphere of the staff but the entire accomodation makes you feel comfortable and happy to spend time there. The traditional tiles, the inner courtyard and the colorful windows in the rooms are just on of the many highlights.

The rooms are gorgeous, amazing rooftop terrace, and really wonderful staff who were so hospitable and helpful. From Mohammed the owner to Yassmina, Imanne and Mohammed the concierge / front desk staff, I had such a delightful time. So helpful with making transport arrangments, suggestions and more. Would return any time. This is a great location that is easy to get in and out of the medina and also close to the deeper pars of the medina as well.

- filmservices (10/5): A Most Remarkable Riad - This Riad is a gem! They treat you like family the minute you walk in the door and are welcomed with hot mint tea and cookies. The entire staff is thoughtful and caring. The interiors are artfully designed, with exquisite Moroccan rugs, antiques, and mosiac treatments on floors, fountains and tubs. Our meals were home cooked and delicious. The dining room and rooftop rose garden a lovely place to eat or just listen to the birds and daily calls to prayer. The staff arranged for pickups and drop offs at the airport, booked guides and tours when and where we wanted to explore. The owners are especially attentive to all your wants and needs. If your looking for a total Fes experience, comfortable, cared for and effortless - look no further. We’ll be returning to spend more time with this new family of friends.
