Guest Reviews
- David (10/5): Great location and exceptional service - Breakfast was great, location excellent, within walking distance of everywhere. Nothing, very satisfied
- Maniscalco (9/5): Wonderful stay ! - Good location.
Lovely and clean! Nothing
- Carolyn (10/5): Relaxing, great decor, centrally located, easy walk to town. - Yummy breakfast, great art work, very friendly.
- Sharon (10/5): -
- Sebastian (10/5): Had a wonderful 4 winter days and the entire house to us… except for the lovely hosts of course. So tranquil. -
- David (9/5): Cozy - Great location, Quiet, nice breakfast
- Sam (6/5): It was acceptable but will not go back again. - Serves breakfast. No TV, property on the Main Street so it’s not quiet enough. Expensive since there’s no facilities.
- Ester (10/5): Magical, cozy, an absolute treat! - Breakfast was wonderful, I loved chatting with our hosts, a mother daughter duo :) The sweetest women. There were chickens and a cat on the property. We stayed for a night in the tiny house, and it felt like staying in a magical treehouse. We were so close to the main strip of shops in Woodstock. So perfect!
- Wensel (9/5): - The home was very welcoming and the breakfast was great!! A bigger bed would be better
- Aleksandr (10/5): -
- David (6/5): -
- Rebecca (6/5): Lovely welcome and hospitality: but the cost was high given the level of comfort. - The location was great; right in town Woodstock. The hosts were so kind and hospitable, I really felt welcomed. The breakfast was great! The house smelled like cat litter and urine. The heating situation was tough- despite the extra plug in heater i was very cold at night and slept very poorly as a result. In light of a room with no private bathroom and in light of the previously mentioned things this place felt immensely overpriced.
- Toby (9/5): -
- Ann (10/5): Staying here was a very pleasant experience. - This is a lovely, established BnB. The house is well maintained, and the owner is a kind, gentle and artistic woman. Breakfast is delicious! The location is within walking distance of the center of Woodstock with its many restaurants and art galleries.
- Nancy (2/5): - I booked a specific room with a private bath. When I checked in, the owner told me she gave away my room and gave me a room with a shared hallway bath. After a lot of arguing, she said expedia (hotels.com), should have charged me more for a private bath room. She refused to give it to me for the rate I was paying. Also, property needs a lot of work…it is very dusty with old bedding and missing shades on the windows.
- Carmel (10/5): -
- travel (10/5): - great reception!
- Richard (8/5): - Close to village and convenient to walk around Woodstock
- April (10/5): Gorgeous Morning Glory! - Diane, the hostess, was extremely attentive and aimed to please us. Attention to detail was excellent in making the room and house attractive. Morning Glory is wonderfully central to amenities as well as the unmissable sites of beauty. Highly recommended for an informal and relaxed stay.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Beautiful artwork!
- Diane (10/5): - Great owner. Friendly, quaint and ver
- Lisa (8/5): Charming B and B in fun and quirky Woodstock - The bed-and-breakfast was very charming. Booked the room and arrived soon after at 9 PM. I think the owners were a little uncertain about the late booking. Breakfast was supposed to be included, but wasn’t mentioned we checked out around 10 AM but didn’t see the owners after we checked in. It could’ve been our lack of understanding of how it was supposed to work.
- Terikay (10/5): We made new friends of Diane and Pansy. We had so much and wished we could’ve stayed longer. - Beautiful garden next to a stream
- Adrian (8/5): - Morning Glory B&B provided everything I needed for a comfortable and pleasant stay. While it isn’t a luxurious property, it covers all the basics well—clean, functional, and welcoming. The location is convenient, a 10 minute walk to the Village Green, with easy access to shopping, dining, and the center of Woodstock’s activity. A solid choice if you’re looking for simplicity, comfort, and proximity rather than frills.
- Aleksandra (10/5): - The owners are so nice! The place is pure artsy magic! This is our home away from home!
- Thomas (10/5): Morning Glory is a Delightful Experience - Quaint, cozy and creative space. The artwork around the house is lovely. The backyard was peaceful. Perfect for my morning stretch routine. Very enjoyable!
- Yuval (1/5): An overpriced and misleading stay with poor hospitality and facilities. not recommended. - It wasn’t dirty Unfortunately, our short stay at this property was disappointing from the moment we arrived.
The host greeted us with an odd, almost passive-aggressive attitude, as if surprised to see us, even though we had booked earlier that day. Communication throughout our stay felt awkward and lacking.
This is not a hotel or guesthouse as described online, but rather a private house that has been divided into “rooms”. Our room was located on the second floor, accessible only by a steep staircase, and no assistance was offered with our luggage.
The “stream” in the backyard mentioned in the listing is merely a trickle of water behind the house not a feature worth highlighting.
As for breakfast, the host asked us upon arrival whether we wanted it (which was strange, as it was included in the price), and in the morning she asked again in an unfriendly tone if we were going to eat. She offered an egg, toast, and mentioned there was coffee. this was the entire breakfast. We chose to skip it and eat elsewhere.
The overall experience felt misleading and overpriced, with no value for what we payed for (250$) .
This place did not suit us at all, and we would not recommend it.
- MARIA (10/5): IDYLLIC COUNTRY GETAWAY - I had an absolutely wonderful experience and plan to return. There is a stream behind the property and chickens run round. Just a perfect place to regroup, take a deep breath and find peace. The location could not be better as you can pretty much walk to everything in Woodstock. Of course if you go further there are some crazy beautiful hikes in the area. Diane was so gracious and made the most delicious breakfasts. It felt like home away from home and I left a renewed persson I honestly can not think of a thing.
- Emer (10/5): - We had a wonderful experience. Will definitely go back. I loved the plare
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful historic home - Beautiful historic home. We had a nice stay.
- Patricia (10/5): - The host was very friendly, kind and helpful. She went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable.
My dietary needs for breakfast were provided.
My room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. I slept well and I especially enjoyed the art which decorated the house.
- blaise (6/5): - Nice owners. clean. good breakfast. eggs with ?pancakes.
Cold night in late spring. heater in the room but not in the bathroom or breakfast room.
- Thomas (9/5): Superb -
- Cooper (10/5): Exceptional - Really liked it! Nothing, was perfect.
- Benjamin (10/5): - Excellent service
- Jerome (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amy (10/5): Sound of stream so peaceful with beautiful trees… private porch facing stream and cozy loft bed made this sunny paradise - I loved that my little porch faced the stream. It was so beautiful. To fall asleep to that sound was pure bliss. I loved the skylight above my loft bed. The layout of the space was perfect. The birch worked into the decor of the loft was so unique. Loved that there was a bathtub.
- Lindsay (8/5): A small comfortable BnB in a somewhat unique town. - Breakfast was good and home prepared - a welcome change from the standard mass production of the chain hotels. Walkable distance to a number of bars and restaurants.
- James (10/5): - My stay at Morning Glory exceeded expectations in every regard. I had come from a week long workshop and needed a place quiet and comfortable to integrate the experience and recharge. The kind welcome of the host, the beautiful art and thoughtfully arranged decor as well as the convenient location were exceptional. I am grateful to have found this location.
- Aicha (4/5): The price is very expensive . I urge the owner to spend money on making her - Facilities and the owner was very nice The equipments old not clean and used soap in the bathroom
- Colm (3/5): The older lady was nice, but the younger lady was not. We wouldn’t come back. - Nice location Kind of crummy experience. They wouldn’t even make a second pot of coffee for breakfast and breakfast was kind of lame. For 350 bucks. I think I’ll go elsewhere.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay - the white room was clean and lovely. We love the location too - great proximity to Station, movie theater and restaurants.
- catherine (8/5): - I liked the quiet atmosphere, the hostesses and simplicity.
- Dave (10/5): - Very relaxing stay. Easy walk to town. Lovely hosts and tasty breakfast.
- Joe (10/5): - Perfect stay here during Presidents' Day weekend! The house is supremely well-maintained and beautiful, the family that runs it is very sweet and easy-going, and the location is phenomenal as it's just a few minutes walk into the main part of town. Quiet, clean, great location, and wonderful hosts. Thank you!
- Meghan (10/5): - This was the exact respite I needed for an early January weekend away. The grounds were beautifully maintained by the family. And the inside has all the perfect touches although not overdone or fancy. Just very comfortable. I will definitely stay here again.
- John (10/5): Doesn't get any better! - The breakfasts were both healthy and delicious. Diane will serve things that you request. Nothing could have been better. Diane, the owner, has developed an amazing place. For those seeking to walk around Woodstock, it is a perfect location. The house is filled with beautiful art created by her parents. The rooms are cozy and well equipped. IN addition to the main heating system, we had a wall heater in the bedroom and floorboard heater in the bathroom. Very, very clean. Diane aims to please.
- Patricia (9/5): Superb -
- Jose (6/5): - The house is clean but old, and the bathrooms are not private for the room.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - Host was gracious, friendly and helpful.
Homemade bread for breakfast and omellete was delicious!
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dinah (6/5): A bit different, but best suited to small agile people. - The individuality of it, the breakfast was different every day and all guests were seated around one big table. We were not forewarned that the bedroom was up a steep ladder to a half level floor above the bathroom. This was not easy as we have some mobility issues. Also the bathroom was so not private (just flimsy swing doors that were not to the ceiling and not soundproof). No central heating but the fan heater did help warm it up on the cold evenings.
- Lynn (6/5): It was a quick trip and it was OK for my purposes. - Breakfast was excellent! Should note parking is tight. Some people drive larger vehicles.
Smoke alarm was pinging most of night at low battery.
- Lucille (9/5): charmed. - gracious host. charming environment. delicious breakfast
- Christopher (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (9/5): Charming and fascinating - Excellent location and short walk into the charming and somewhat fascinating town of Woodstock really not to be missed if on a road trip , host where equally as charming and very helpful nothing was to much trouble , situated in an amazing setting by the brook very peaceful.
Great breakfast which was served at a big table with all other guest which gave it a lovely touch as we chatted and picked each other’s brains sharing stories .
If you want to experience Woodstock and have the rustic feel this is the place to be for sure !
Thank you Diana for being the perfect host
Everything was as advertised Nothing negative and would stay again for sure
- Kimberly (8/5): Home in Woodstock - The location and the fresh eggs from their chickens. And their temporarily help from their granddaughter, who was delightful to talk with who made me a late brreakfast (9:40). And of course, all of the beautiful art. There was also a private art gallery throughout the house.Lovely And there was safe parking. I did not know what time breakfast was (serving from 8 to 9) , so the owner seemed annoyed at me but I did tell her my alkergies on line. She says she does not use the internet message system. I also had issues with my payment method due to my bank, not the owners fault. More an overseas bank issue with booking .com direct payments, even though I set it up properly. I had registered a new card and unbeknownst to me I almost lost my room because it declined twice before my arrival. There was no communication due to travellings and no internet on the road. So when I paid in person, the owner charged a little bit more then my original booking.( exchange rate changed) Annoying and she questioned me why I needed the declined receipts. She seemed upset with me and made me uncomfortable to talk with her about the fact that I had plenty of funds, not a money issue. And was not around to thank her when I was checking out. I wish her well.
- Ann (8/5): Lovely place to stay - The location, setting and ambience. The bed gave me back ache
- Tarla (6/5): Very dated property and very expensive for the low caliber - Very close to town Expensive, old fashioned and shared bathroom
- Ellen (10/5): Happy in Woodstock NY - The proprietor and her mom are wonderful hosts. The property is pretty. The rooms are very clean and there was a full hot breakfast and was made to order. This was the second time U stayed here. I would definitely return.
- Svetlana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary Alice (4/5): - The reservation indicated "tiny house with queen bed and private bathroom-Breakfast included"
It was a tiny house; the queen bed was a loft bed wiith steep ladder; we are 2 women in our 80's; not safe for us; we hoped a futon would work BUt the woman felt the wooden crossbars all night and got little sleep; I slept on the floor on top of pillows, sheets, blanket and slept little.
No invitation or information was ever given about breakfast. Bottomline: we paid a lot for really no usable bed.
- Brian (7/5): Quite disappointing for the price but location and room good - Not given any options for breakfast. Not offered cereal or vegetarian. Minimal service No real contact with staff who seemed to speak very little English. Facilities and location good

Would come back again.
- Schwartz (10/5): Exceptional - The host wss nice. The grounds were beautiful.
- Michelle (10/5): A private, cozy retreat in a magical location. - The very best things about Morning Glory were the little nuances... the sound of a brook rushing just outside our door... the ease of a walk up and down Tinker Street... but best of all, our warm and artistic host, who spoke of the paintings she did that hung in main room where we had breakfast. She was conscious of attending to every need, while also sharing the aspects of life in Woodstock that she loves. It was a dream-stay! Admittedly, the climb up a ladder to a loft for bed isn't ideal for everyone, but felt safe and manageable, even for me, someone who needs the bathroom for at least one "trip" overnight.
- Ruth (10/5): perfect - Great location near attractions, very clean, great breakfast, nice host, artwork so pretty:)
- Jill (10/5): - Really beautiful home overseen by a lovely and gracious host! The homemade breakfast was amazing. Enjoyed meeting the other guests. Very convenient location. Perfect for a relaxing stay in gorgeous Woodstock, NY! And it’s pet friendly!!!

- Laura (10/5): - Diane the owner is delightful there are cats and chickens in yard a babbling brook just lovely
- Marguerite (10/5): Perfect place for a getaway - Beautiful setting, very close/easy walk to downtown Woodstock. Easy drive to beautiful hikes in the area.
Host was pleasant and welcoming, and extremely helpful with suggestions of activities in the area. Delicious breakfasts. Room was comfortable.
House is full of lovely artwork by various family members.
All in all, a wonderful stay. It’s on the main road, so some traffic noise during the day. Didn’t notice it at night.
