Guest Reviews
- Norman (10/5): - Everything is walking distance including one of the best beaches in saint lucia.its located in prime tourist area
- PAMELA (6/5): - Whilst some of the amenities on this property could be improved, the place was quiet, clean, safe (opposite to the police station) and a stone throw away from the beach and within walking distance to many eating and dining places.
- J (2/5): - Stay at your own risk. filthy rooms/unsanitary. Go elsehwere
- Ramon (8/5): - Good Location, Clean and near to the beach and Restaurants
- Vinessa (8/5): - Nice property, great location. Was ideal for just a one night stay.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Disappointing. Noisy. Poor communication. - We stayed for 3 nights and on the 2nd night we were woken up by a loud noise that lasted for 3 hours. We complained to the man at reception and he said he would sort. Much to our disappointment, the same thing happened the following night but started in the evening and throughout the night. Despite ringing 2 telephone numbers listed on the door of the now closed reception we had no luck. We managed to record the noise and shared this with the same receptionist the following day who had forgotten to sort the generator that was positioned directly outside our bedroom window. He apologised and said he would refund 1 nights stay. Despite me sending to emails (via hotels.com) to remind them, we have had no reply at all. A lack of sleep for the 2 nights totally affected our stay and we are very disappointed with the lack of responsibility, especially when they promised to compensate us. For this reason, I would not recommend.
- Catherine (8/5): - Bug carcasses around bathroom and dining table.
It was a decent 2 bedroom for the night.
We didn’t have info on check out, office was locked. Overall nice, and met the need. Close to shopping and restaurants
- Sandra (8/5): - Quiet property with friendly people who live there long term. Walking distance to Reduit beach and Spinakers bar and restaurant with decent prices and good food.
Accommodation is basic but adequate. Small pool but it’s all you need.
- Taressa (4/5): - The Villa needs work. The pool area was not so clean and the apartment had a funny smell as we entered (I mentioned this to the person who took me to the apartment). When the bedroom sheets were changed; they smell uncleaned , as though they were not washed properly.
- rick (4/5): - Pool area was nice. The apartments on the street side very noisy. Apartment furniture was very dated. Office never reachable. Out of water two days.
- Thomas (10/5): - Nice place - close to beach and many nice restaurants.
- Judith Christensen (4/5): - Good things: location is across from beach, close to several restaurants, walking distance to town. Pool is nice and air conditioner in bedroom worked well. Pictures from websites do not reflect actual condition in 2024. Villas are very tired, outdated and in desperate need of repair, renovations/cleaning. Stayed in two different apartments. First one very dark, front double door was covered in curtains and opened into small sitting area about 3x5 feet. Furniture dirty with crumbs, sand under cushions. Kitchen and dishes poorly equipped and not properly cleaned. Microwave rusty. Fridge extremely noisy, people in the next apartment were woken up in the night by the noise. Shower did not drain properly so you ended up standing in 1-2 inches of water. We moved to different room on courtyard side. Furniture worn, dirty and some broken. Fridge rusty inside and out. Air conditioner leaked water on the floor. Mismatch of dishes and utensils, only a few of each. Sink had no plug. Only two saucepans and tired old microwave. TV losing its color. Flower boxes of dead plants on balconies and around pool. Housekeeper was very kind and helpful, however, we believe her ability to maintain the entire complex is limited by her time and resources. Nightmare laundry facilities. Two washing machines, one badly rusted. An old commercial dryer shredded some of our clothes. Can only dry clothes on lines outside laundry. Lots of potential if only it was updated and better maintained.
- Steen (6/5): Ringe - Ikke særligt godt sted gammelt og slidt med kakerlakker der løber hen over gulvet
- James (8/5): Special little hideaway - Perfect location for food and entertainment and most of all beach fun.
- Tyreese (4/5): - The property was situated in an excellent area. Room was cozy and clean however the fridge was annoying as it made noise all night long. Staff never welcomed us properly and seemed to be in a rush upon our arrival and never did any follow up to ensure that everything was to our liking.
- James (8/5): - Could not have a better location in my opinion.
- glenroy (10/5): - Thank you for your kindness extended to my sister and her husband-the Andersons from Guyana.
- Catherine (8/5): - We had a 2 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms, one bathroom was updated and one was outdated. Beds were comfortable; the rooms could've used more furniture like dressers and bedside tables, but there was a big closet and a mirror in each room, which was a plus. There was AC in each bedroom and in the kitchen/living room area. The kitchen was not equipped as we expected (only 2 glasses and wine glasses for an apartment that sleeps 4). Glad I brought the basics with me (oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, spices, coffee filters, coffee, etc.) because there was nothing in the cupboards. You can use the laundry facilities at your own risk, the machine ruined some clothing but it's convenient to have. Bring your own detergent. Location is the best, right across the street from the beach and walking distance to restaurants. It was carnival time and our area was very quiet. Would definitely stay again, it was inexpensive and very convenient.
- Wesley (8/5): - Quite little place with basic amenities. Good use of space in the rooms and conveniently located where we wanted to be. Public beach access and police station right across the street. Restaurants and grocery within ready to moderate walking distance.
Pool was small but clean and the staff was friendly.
- JEAN-CHARLES (8/5): Bon séjour - Bon rapport qualité prix
- Chandra (8/5): - Close to beach, and safe, could do with a little repair
- shermaine (4/5): - Property has a lot of potential but needs great improvement. Run down rooms.
- Jean (10/5): - The place was very clean
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Place needs cleaning and it was close you all need to take it off the website I also need you all to refund me my money ASAP I can’t get through to you all at all
- Andriy (10/5): Perfectly located nice and quite apart Hotel - It was amazing stay, few steps from the beach, about 700 m from Massy food stores and shopping centers. Hotel is not fancy but quite, with nice patio with lots of flowers, good to spend days and eveqings near the swimming pool, lots of restaurants around. Elithabeth, hotel administrator, was very helpful, arranged drinking water delivery for us , helped with any issues arrised quickly and professionally, Very recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved that it was near the beach, it was clean and well maintained for an older Property, very pretty!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location is perfect! Right across the street from the beach and a 5-10min walk to all the bars, restaurants, and grocery stores.
- Alyssa (10/5): Great location. - Wonderful location can use a bit of an undated. Excellent check in. Air conditioning works amazing. Very safe
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Pros: Elizabeth was there for check in on the late side. excellent location for the beach, restaurants, and the town. quite area.Air conditioning excellent as well as lighting. TV worked well.Kitchen good for cooking.
cons: No extras in the kitchen. was warned by other reviewers to bring your own napkins, coffee filters, coffee, salt, pepper. had the bare minimim. Wifi was poor. Elizabeth had to come by serveral times and the signal was weak. The rooms need to be updated. had a 2 bedroom unit and the bed was too big to use the draw space. need to put one in the closed. The pool is not kid friendly. No shallow area and hard to get in for people with arthritis. no antislip pads on exiting. Slipped on a wet tile.
- Rodrigo (10/5): Great choice for budget travelers - Good value for price paid. Location is excellent. Just a 2 minute walk to Reduit Beach. 10 min. walk to center of town.
- Casey (8/5): Would definitely book again but needs improvements - Pros.... great location. Literally right across from the beach, which is a five minute walk. Close to all of the restaurants and stores. We shopped at the local super market, which is a 10 minute walk, because we prepared our meals. Staff is great. Elizabeth and the housekeeper ate really nice. Always courteous and accommodating. Some long term residents live there and a very friendly. Overall, very clean and there is daily housekeeping. Updated kitchen, had everything we needed.
Cons...needs to be upgraded. Living room furniture needs to be replaced asap and also the mattresses, because they were not comfortable. Although it didn't bother us too much because we were out all day. Some cosmetic improvements are definitely needed. New rugs, shower door needs a new magnetic strip to keep it closed. Bathroom mirror is old and should be replaced. If the owner invests in these improvements, this place would definitely get a 4+ rating.
We would definitely visit again but hope the owner really considers this rating and most of the others, which basically say the same thing.
- Hung-Chi (10/5): Good Apartments - A good apartment for business or travel
Very good welcome. The staff is obliging, polished and in the listening. Both parental rooms are very correct. The kitchen is functional. The hotel is situated in 2 minutes to the beach and in 10 minutes of the city center and the stores. The swimming pool is average andt very adapted has young children. Very nice !
- Barrett (6/5): Reasonable Price Close to Beach & Restaurants - The yard, pool, deck were nice - true assets. Great place to tan or read and to get away from the sand and the hawkers on the beach. Generally, things were kept clean & ordered. Quite quiet in the evening & at night. The staff was generally available. Regular maid service is available, except Sunday.
Reduit Beach was across the road and several restaurants (several of the most expensive ones) were close by, even if one was on foot. Downtown was only a 10-min walk away.
Since we always make our own breakfast and lunch, we rented an apartment with a kitchen, But there were no condiments (salt, pepper, oil, filters...) - to do even basic cooking, EVERYTHING had to be bought - at outrageous prices & in large quantities - in town. The utensils and cookware were rudimentary. The wine glasses were champagne flutes. Our drip coffee maker didn't work - wrong carafe. It took 3 days to secure a French press instead. Glass top on the DR table was missing, making for a rickety place for a glass or bottle. LR furniture barely comfortable. TV reception was almost always fuzzy. Frayed towels. Taps/shower sputtered and the temp fluctuated at will. Laundry machines had to be reset every cycle (so laundry was a day at the apt).
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great location with mixed accommodations . - A great location across the street from the local beach . The apartment complex had a small pool with a couple of reclining beach chairs. Our room needs some additions such a new bedroom carpet, clean curtains or new ones .bathroom was ok . Spray paint in cabinets and gas stove would improve room
- Frank (10/5): Excellent choice close to beach. - Loved our studio. Elizabeth and staff were wonderful. Across street from beach. Easy walk to Rodney Bay restaurants, bars, casino and shopping.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good Value - One minute walk to the beach, fully equipped kitchen, everything you need rerally. Practically speaking it's a great place to stay. Comfort wise, it's not as good as other places I've stayed in Gros Islet, it's quite noisy and the rock hard bed made it difficult to sleep. Overall I was quite happy witth the place seeing as it's much cheaper than the surrounding hotels and resorts
- Sunil (8/5): Hotel is close to beaches, night life activities - EXCELLENT LOCATION for a great vacation I recommend Beachcross to anyone
- Linda (10/5): Great efficiency apt in convenient location - A suitable efficiency apartment. Smaller than expected, but adequate for the job. Great location across from beach & good restaurants. Easy walking distance to downtown area.
Staff was delightful and helpful with tips, ordering taxi, etc. I would stay there again with no hesitation.
- Shanice (8/5): Enjoyed our stay at Beachcross - Elizabeth was an awesome hostess. Our flight was canceled due to a tropical storm watch and Elizabeth was understanding and changed our reservations to accommodate our rescheduled flight. Upon our arrival she greeted us with a warm smile and proceeded with our check in. She made us feel right at home and encouraged us to get as comfortable as possible and if we needed anything do not hesitate to call her. Her check out time was 11am but she was kind enough to allow us to leave at 1pm instead as our flight was at 330pm
- Cher (10/5): Clean hotel , access to everything - My family enjoyed staying at this villa. Comfortable. Safety, right opposite police station. Beach access, opposite villa and very close access to restaurants, supermarkets and banks. Extremely helpful and friendly staff and to the taxi driver who was there at our call. Thanks beachcross. Will definitely come back to you.
- Anna (10/5): Nice hotel, close to the beach - Nice hotel, one of the best beaches in St Lucia across the street, walking distance to Rodney Bay town with well supplied supermarkets. Quiet and safe neighborhood. Plenty restaurants around...
Nice places to visit : Pigeon Island - take a water taxi from the beach
Lucian Country Life
Market in Castries
Mud baths are overrated
Bargain your taxi rates
- Julie (10/5): Perfect location for beach life - I found the location absolutely fantastic for the type of holiday I had planned. "BEACH LIFE"
Elizabeth was absolutely fantastic in everyway, very patient and helpful considering on arrival my card would not work and she waited till the next morning to get it resolved. Helpful in giving me advice, solutions and alternatives to all my enquiries. My room was excellent I had a two bedroom apartment overlooking the pool, my room was spacious with all the amenities required in the kitchen, internet access throughout my stay and a working tv (if reqd).
Unfortunately, the cleaner had failed to change my bedding on request, however with Elizabeth's intervention this was resolved, I enjoyed the full comforts of my apartment with all Air conditioning units working without any problem.
should there be any improvement I would suggest a more innovative "look" for the pool area which was not inviting enough for me to consider using.
- Selly (8/5): Comfortable. Met my needs - It was a wonderful experience. The staff were.friendly and i would definitely return.
I would recommend the option of having television in the bedroom
I will definitely be recommending Beachcross to others
- Verified traveler (8/5): Close to Beach, Shopping Restaurants/Bars Police - Good access and quiet Thats all you will get from me or I shall not respond
- Sheena (10/5): Perfect vacation - Hotel staff are great. Elizabeth is awesome! She provided a taxi service for airport pick up. She also made sure everything I needed was taken care of.
Hotel room is nice. AC unit is very strong and kept the whole room cool. There's one AC in the bedroom and one in the living room but you only need one to cool off the whole place. Kitchen was perfect and fully equiped. Bathroom was nice as well. You do need to bring an outlet converter because all the outlets are euro style. Elizabeth was kind enough to provide me a spare converter. The pool is small and simple but nice.
The beach location is PERFECT! The hotel is literally across the street. The police station is across the street as well. All the stores are about a 10min walk(food shopping, pharmacy, liq store, etc). There are restaurants next to the hotel and all along the strip, walking distance.
Overall, I love this hotel because no one bothered us our whole stay. Some hotels will try to convince you to do this, sign up for that, go here, go there..etc. We came on vacation to enjoy and do as we please and not get hussled to sign up for stuff. This place is literally your own apartment! Other guest were very friendly as well. Another plus is the location and amenities. We wanted to be close to the beach and we got it. We also wanted to cook our own bf and lunch to save money and go out for dinner/drinks and we were able to do that by staying at this hotel.
I definitely will stay here again and again!!!
- Charlene (10/5): Great Value and Location!! - Great place with reasonable prices and a great area. Maybe fix some small things in the room but overall I'm very satisfied.
- DM (10/5): Great location, directly across from the beach - Perfect location, across from beach, walking distance to restaurants and shopping! 3 ladies travelling together stayed and we felt very safe and comfortable! Thank you Elizabeth!
- steve (8/5): Good enough, pay for what u get - Didn't want to pay big bucks to be on beach. This was nice because the beach access was right across the street next to police station and didn't have to worry about walking home at night. Good area at beach for st Lucia. Restaurants are near by. Rooms were clean but the place needs some upgrades. Things move slow on the islands so give it time. Still good place.
- Keith (10/5): Great place to visit!! - Great place, in a perfect location...Staff were absolutely wonderful...Very friendly. Will most definitely be going back!!!! Saint Lucia is absolutely breathtaking!!!!
- Steph (8/5): Very close to the beach - The location is excellent. Right across from the beach and walking distance to lots of stores and restaurants/entertainment. It is not the newest hotel and could use a slight upgrade but I would stay again. The kitchen could also be better stocked with things like dishsoap, sponges, dish towels, paper towels. It is very homey feeling which is not bad. Clean and great attentive staff. Seems like people who visit stay for a long time.
- Janella (6/5): Close to everything - Our stay at Beachcros's was perfect for our short stay. It was right across from the beach and police station. It is in short walking distance to all restaurants. If you have small children, do not put them into the pool. It starts at 5 ft. Overall, we were satisfied.
- Mark (8/5): Family vac - The receptionist was excellent friendly accommodating . The room served its purpose for family holidays.excellent location . The decor is a bit outdated however the warmth of the receptionist along with the location (it's opposite the police station)
- Mrs Dawn (2/5): Beachcross Villa Apartments 2016 - The hotel looked nothing like the pictures on the website. It was run down and not very clean. I had to ask for clean pilllows on arrival as the ones they supplied us were filthy. So was the mattress. We had ants and cockroaches in the room so we couldn't store any food we had bought, except in the fridge. The high speed internet was not very high speed and this was so important to why we booked as i had to work whilst i was staying. The sofas were dirty and the springs were coming through the seats so you couldn't sit on most of them. I would not recommend it to anyone and i will never stay there again. It needs to be cleaned up thoroughly and decorated to a respectful condition.
- Murphey (10/5): Simple but sweet, loved every minute being here! - In terms of grandeur, Beachcross Villas wouldn't be 5 star, but it is a gem all on it's own.
First off, it's very affordable if you want a nice vacation but on a tight budget.
The rooms were clean on arrival and were cleaned daily by a sweet little lady. Fresh towels and linens changed daily as well. The other room amenities were great: a/c, hot/cold water, cable tv, refridgerator, stove, microwave....
The pool is a bit small but was safe for my 11 year old son and there is a small, lovely area to eat or lounge around the pool.
The villas are located on the perfect spot. A minute walk to Reduit Beach and 5-10 minutes walk to fabulous restaurants and duty-free shopping.
