Nian Earn (10/5): Absolutely loved our stay and would definitely come back again! - (1) the location - quiet and private, with great cafes and restaurants nearby within walking distance (2) the staff was super nice and friendly (3) the room was spacious and clean, and had all the amenities we needed Maybe just the stairs? it wasn’t an issue for us since we only stayed for 1 night and had a small luggage. Just something to keep in mind if you’re bringing a few big luggages.

We were regularly entertained by numerous fantails flitting around plus a large number of Kereru, the NZ native pigeon. It was an unexpected bonus.. Our bed was super comfy and overall we were delighted with all the facilities plus the friendliness of the owners. absolutely nothing

The room was very clean and comfortable, with a babbling brook right out the back slider to the deck. I loved listening to that at night. The location is perfect, just on the edge of town, easy walk to restaurants, market. I was traveling by bike and the only place to keep my bike was NOT covered, so it got wet with the rain at night. Otherwise, NO complaints!

Jennifer (10/5): Fabulous stay - would love to come back! - Fabulous place, we had an upstairs apartment with a balcony and a stream below, lots of birds around, including Bellbirds. Everything was spotlessly clean and has everything you could possibly need, and lovely comfy beds. Kerry and Nic are lovely - they gave us lots of good tips for the local area and driving routes and were especially kind when my Mum was sick, even giving us lots of cold remedies. Nothing - it was all great
Elizabeth (10/5): - Nic was friendly and welcoming when we arrived. Our room was immaculate and welll outfitted. When we checked in we were also provided with a bit of milk to tide us over. Only there for not even 24 hours but would not hesitate to recommend and would definitely stay again if returning to the area. Nic's recommendations of a cocktail at Tini's and fish and chips from the truck were spot on. Not much..exuberant bed topper and me rolling for the edge a couple of times but comfy and cosy

ShatfordFam (10/5): A Perfect Stay in Beautiful Akaroa - I enjoyed a fabulous two-night stay in the Garden View Queen Studio on the ground floor. The staff were lovely and welcoming, the bed was very comfortable, and the location is close to everything. A perfect spot to spend a few relaxing days in gorgeous Akaroa!

Just wanted to make a comment that the double bed was quite soft and meant that my husband ended in the middle (as he is larger than me!) we had been given an upgraded apartments and houses a spare part which are used & appreciated

Geoff (9/5): Very comfortable and clean motel, with charming and helpful hosts Nic & Terry. - An excellent location, with very hospitable hosts, Nic and Kerry, who were relaxed and helpful at all times. The room was very clean and tidy in all respects; and I was able to store my bike in their secure outdoor area. The off street car parking worked well and was easy to access. The balcony at the back of the motel overlooked a pleasant stream to the NE, but was shaded by a line of trees beside the stream, which tended to overshade the balcony and rear of the motel.
colleen (9/5): Charming , welcoming place to stay in stunning Akaroa. - The staff was excellent, good attention to detail. Clean , comfortable, attractive furnishings with scenic outside porch overlooking a small stream & colorful garden. Close to downtown . The space was small but very functional .
elisabeth (9/5): - L'accueil, les conseils sur l'environnement, Le confort du lit,la petite terrasse qui donne sur une rivière et des arbres avec de gros oiseaux... Chambre un peu sombre,à cause des arbres mais personnellement pas un problème.
Jacoliene Marije (10/5): Heel fijn motel! Een aanrader. - Heel fijn motel op een goede plek in Akeroa met een fantastische eigenaar Nik. Een warm welkom met uitleg over de omgeving. De kamer was fantastisch en we kregen een upgrade! Bij ons volgende bezoek boeken wij weer dit motel!

Joan (10/5): Lovely, Quaint Motel - Small, quaint motel with very friendly manager. Absolutely loved the garden patio with a small, flowing stream. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the bathroom spa to work but settled for a long, hot shower.

rajeev joshi (7/5): - Room was clean and warm, bed was comfortable and shower was good. The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Extra charges on breakfast and snacks seemed a little high for what they were, but as we didn't have any of that it wasn't an issue for us.
