- Megan (4/5): Not worth the money - The receptionist walked around with no shoes or socks on and as each guest checked in he would walk out with a can of air freshener into the rooms. This leads to questions about the cleaning process if each room needs to be freshened. Free toiletries were advertised but we were told there was a charge for them on arrival Tea and coffee maker were advertised as included but an additional charge was stipulated at the hotel, with only instant coffee provided in the room The rooms had no drinking water and water was left in the kettle after the last guest There was a communal fridge but nowhere in the hotel to get ice The bathroom grout was stained from black mould We weren't provided hand towels or a foot towel for the shower Breakfast was said to be a full English with continental, but there was no mushrooms or tomatoes and the bacon was something processed and not real rashers. Continental breakfast consisted if only cereal The staff serving breakfast would go out for cigarettes and leave the door open so smoke came into the dining area

The only mirror was in the bathroom and the light didn’t work so the mirror was unusable. The window didn’t open. The sheet on the bed was actually a duvet cover so didn’t fit properly. Breakfast was included but we weren’t asked for our order, a full English was just brought to us. As a vegetarian this was far from ideal!

- Victoria (8/5): Will absolutely be back for another stay. - It was great. Staff were really lovely and couldn’t do enough for you. The lady who makes breakfast was so sweet and always had a massive smile on a morning and a good conversation. Her alone would bring you back to the property. Breakfast was good and bed was comfy. It wasn’t noisy at all. The second night we stayed we were in the room right next to reception and didn’t hear a peep. Also great help if you don’t know Newcastle. They will tell you whats to do, what’s where and how to get there. Very friendly We stayed 2 nights and the first night the room we were in the shower didn’t work. We had a different room the second night and all was fine. They did take money off the bill for the first night as an apology for the shower.

There was food on the stairs left to rot the whole time we were there the carpet was disgusting and the bathroom was even worse the shower didnt close properly at all and the bed wasnt even a double bed for 2 people!

- Crawford (1/5): Unsafe and unsanitary conditions appalling place. - Nothing to like! Unsafe and dangerous and not as described or pictured at all. People accessing the room from outside of the building and reception refused to move or help us. Leaving the hotel for safety reasons and the hotel still requested full payment and additional parking charges were added as we arrived! Not a hotel but a half way house and drug drop in place for those who are not concerned about safety or cleanliness of their rooms, vile and disgusting conditions in the room as pictured.
- Clem (1/5): Bad - The fact that it was in the middle of town I wanted to put into writing how tremendously appalling the conditions of this hotel were. Room 21 had brown stains on the towels, off white stains all over the bed sheets, many a facial / pubic hair over the beds, a window that didn’t close and a brown pillow on one of the beds. Room 37 was not an appropriate room, closer to an office space. Papering over the bedroom door does not equal a private space, but that should have been guessed by lack of a toilet in the room. The tv drilled to a piece of wood hanging from the ceiling was at least charming, but a perfect representation of how ridiculously inadequate this establishment is.

Used soap left in the shower, suggesting poor cleaning. Missing ceiling light leaving a hole.

This is due to thin partition walls and the floors rather than inconsiderate guests. Someone walking across the room above you can sound like they are actually in your room during the night!
