Staff was so nice and helpful and found a room on the first floor and gave me the room for the same price. So appreciate. The room was clean and comfortable.

• Meggan (10/5): Clean, comfortable and convenient - The view was exceptional and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating for my dog. I especially liked that they brought us a large crate for when we left our little dog. She is not used to being crated but I felt especially good leaving her knowing that she was secure in an unknown place ...and that we could leave her (many hotels do not allow that). That was a load off of my mind. We also loved the balcony, the fireplace and super short walk to the beach. The water pressure in the shower was very low. The TV was also useless. I never found anything to watch on the local channels and there were no national channels to watch. I also did not want to sign into my streaming accounts (others had signed in and their account was still active on one platform).

• Karen (8/5): Great location and amenities! - It was very well appointed: stove, fridge, sink and all glassware, plates, and utensils. The bed was comfortable and they provided dog bowls and treats. The grounds were well kept and I liked the fact it was not a large complex. It was VERY well located for Tolovana Park and the beach. My room had an ocean view and it was easy to walk across the road and go to the ocean. There’s a very nice grocery store next door and on the other side a good restaurant. The room was a little crowded but you can’t get all those amenities and extra room without building a suite! And most of us don’t go to the beach to sit in a motel room!

We loved the fire place and the price was affordable. It wasn't fancy but very nice and comfortable. We had a view of the beach which is always a win! We only stayed one night and there wasn't anything we didn't like about our stay.

• Lana Keusch (9/5): Super dog friendly stay mere steps from the beach - The hotel, while it doesn't have a direct view of the ocean because it's set back from the beach with a parking lot in between--it was mere STEPS away from getting to walk along Cannon Beach so I would consider that a win! It was incredibly dog friendly, which I loved the most. It's always so nice when a place doesn't just tolerate, but actively welcomes, my dog. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I have no complaints. Only thing was the room got a little warm for my taste and the thermostat didn't seem to adjust it all that much. Was still able to sleep well though.

• David (10/5): Friendly, Quiet Inn with Ocean View. - We really enjoyed the Wayside Inn. The location was close to the beach with an ocean view. Restaurants and a market are within walking distance. The Inn was quiet and had plenty of parking. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub area. When we visit Cannon Beach again, we will be staying here. There was nothing we didn't like about the Wayside Inn.

• Amanda (7/5): It was fine, not what we were expecting, David was awesome - David the evening front desk guy was amazing! Honestly if he had not been so great we would have stayed somewhere else. The description was very misleading and was not really “beach front” that is why we had chosen it. It was super distant to see the beach then a giant parking lot in the middle. We thought for sure we had two bedrooms for two couples but had 2 bathrooms instead (super weird) but we loved David, he was great and gave us Catan to play for my friends birthday. Would go back because he was so great, but not other than that. Misleading info when booking and lots of confusion about the accommodations.

But the view of the Pacific Ocean makes this place amazing to stay at. It’s situated right by the freeway off ramp, so you do get traffic coming by. However we were there off season so we slept very well at night.
