- Laura (10/5): We had a relaxing time at this beautiful inn. - This place was lovely and very clean. It was especially nice to have breakfast made for us each morning along with delicious coffee. There's nothing I could say that I didn't like.
- John (9/5): We fully enjoyed our stay at the Inn and hope to return one day! - Well located, easy walk into town, and close to local attractions. Very clean and comfortable room with lovely antiques. The owner is delightful and best of all, a great cook! Breakfasts were delicious!
- Barb (9/5): Lovely Victorian Inn with Delicious Food - This was our first experience with a Bed and Breakfast and the Inn had that Victorian appealing charm, just what we were looking for. The food was EXCELLENT. Everything is homemade from the roasting of fresf pumpkins for homemade pumpkin bread to the delicious fresh veggie frittata. The owner was friendly and was entertaining sharing stories about the Inn. We had a large room at the front of house on the second floor. The inviting king size bed was a very TALL bed and the stool provided was wobbly. I wasn't comfortable using it plus I didn't want anything to happen to the pretty antique. I found that it was very difficult for me to get on and off of the bed. I'm 5'4". I did tell the owner about the stool.
It's Nov and it's cold out. The room was very cold at night and getting out of the warm cozy bed and going to the bathroom was a challenge to say the least. One did move quickly.
We will go back and probably ask for a room on the first floor. I have leg muscle issues and climbing that long lovely staircase was a challenge.
- James (10/5): Loved it and will come back when in the area. - This is a beautiful Inn and obvious that so much care has gone into this place.

- Camilla (10/5): Beautifully restored and kept old southern living with the most lovely host. - Lovely southern flair with a very special feeling - it is a bit like going back in time!
- Marina (9/5): Lovely reception and gorgeous location - Nice clean and truly historic location
- Mitchell (9/5): Superb - Very well kept and comfortable
- Lb (10/5): Exceptional -
- Iulia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeff (10/5): Comfortable but felt deceived with charging me extra. - The room was great and the bed was comfortable. I booked this through booking.com and got a discounted price. The owner told they’d just let me pay them directly so she took my credit card and processed a payment about $50 more. She charged for our pups but when I called her before making the reservation I specifically asked how much it was for our pups and she told me no extra charge. She even elaborated how she doesn’t like charging extra for pets. When she took my card she apparently forgot that conversation. I thought about reminding her of our conversation but there were other guests so I decided to let it go.
- Wayne (7/5): Mixed feelings enjoyed it but... - For it's historical value and location the overall experience was good, bed was very comfortable. young lady serving breakfast very polite and friendly. whole house very historic. ac units right outside bedroom window of lacy room not overly troublesome but you do hear them, along with neighbouring room TV.
breakfast we found odd as we were not offered a choice the host seemed to decide. by nationality, what you'd eat...very odd. so we ended up with a English breakfast but others pancakes etc. when we left the host didn't even leave the kitchen as we said goodbye, which we thought slightly off. in my view the property is old teetering on the edge of historical versus tired.
- Simon (10/5): Our favourite inn - Truly something special - Wow! What an amazing historic inn. We absolutely loved staying here and didn’t want to leave. The inn is absolutely beautiful and really felt like home from the moment we arrived. Pat made us feel so welcome right from the start. The room was so comfortable and was like stepping back in time to 1872 but with all the modern comforts you could want. In England you would pay just to look around an amazing historic home like this so to have the chance to stay here for 2 nights was a dream come true. The staff were all absolutely outstanding making us feel at home and helping us with advice on local places to go and activities. Pat’s homemade locally sourced breakfast was superb and with amazing homemade cookies available all day too, what more could you ask for? The town of Monticello is absolutely beautiful with lots of lovely shops and places to eat and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. At the end of a long day, taking time out sitting on the front porch in a rocking chair reading a book and admiring the trees and Spanish moss was just so relaxing. Pat and the staff have truly created something special with the Denham Inn. Outstanding! The best of the best. Thank you 🤩
- Gregory (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent locally sourced breakfast. Excellent grounds.
- Thomas (10/5): Excellent experience. - Exceptional value. Comfortable and conveneient. NA
- Marcelo (9/5): Superb -
- Patricia (9/5): Perfect! - The inn is very true to the period. Our rom was pretty and comfortable. The staff was so nice and the breakfast was delish!
- Betty (10/5): Exceptional - This was an amazing place I will be back
- Barbara (10/5): Everything I hoped for .... and more! - The location was excellent! It lent itself to a very peaceful overnight stay. Green grass and flowers on the property and the host Ms Pat was so accommodating. I loved stepping back in time and seeing the gorgeous antiques and furniture. (Yet I never felt as if I couldn't relax in my room). Breakfast was superb - the whole nine yards!! And the coffee was real rich and good. Met lovely travelers at breakfast as well.
- Deane (10/5): best place to stay in Monticello -
- Thomas (10/5): Absolutely perfect. - Pat is an excellent inn keeper and a knowledgeable hostess. The facility was immaculate, comfortable and welcoming. We definitely will be back... Maybe even for Xmas!
- Patti (9/5): A wonderful birthday weekend - It was a wonderful experience! Food delish !! And the staff were amazing!! And Ms Pat was awesome
- Juris (10/5): Awesome. - This place is something special. The owner clearly put a lot of heart into it—everything feels incredibly warm and personal, like staying at someone’s beautiful home rather than a regular hotel. The breakfast was honestly one of the best I’ve had anywhere, made with care and absolutely delicious. It’s nothing like your standard 4-star hotel—it’s better. I’d love to come back and stay again. Would recommend having room numbers on the doors upstairs.
- Mathilde (10/5): Exceptional -

The comfort of the bed and sheets and pillows was amazing! We had to ask the next morning where she bought the sheets and pillows, cuz they were that good! Our host cooked up a beautiful breakfast, and shared her homemade pear jam to go with the croissant and omelette . 😋
- Abigail (9/5): Superb -

- James (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was outstanding
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pamela (8/5): Good place. - Historic setting quiet seemed safe The breakfast started too late in the morning for me to ever take advantage of it and I had chosen these place partly as breakfast was included. I think the 8:00 am start must be typical for more of a B and B setting
- Fegley (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful place to stay, the owner does an exceptional job with breakfast each morning, staff were just as amazing. Everything was wonderful
- Heath (9/5): Superb -
- William (9/5): Superb -
- Raquelle (10/5): Cute and quaint for a quick visit to Tally area. - Everything in the Tallahassee area was extremely hiked up in price due to Parents Weekend (double or more the usual) so the property was in line with expectations. I would definitely visit again at the regular price that I saw for other weekends. The air was left to warm at night. It got a little warm in our room.
- Irene (10/5): Lovely home away from home. - Lovely, comfortable B&B with helpful, friendly staff. No vegan or plant-based option.
- Curtis (10/5): Wonderful, great place in a great little town. - Everything. Great location, the property was beautiful and everyone was friendly. Nothing.
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (10/5): The stay was pleasant and other guests were friendly. - Location was very good & centrally located. Breakfast was excellent and exceeded our expectations. Nothing

- Susan (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maritza (10/5): 1872 Denham is a special memory of our 15th anniversary get away. - We loved our stay at this beautiful B&B. The room was gorgeous and the bed was extremely comfortable. The host asked our dietary restrictions and made us breakfast that met our needs. We were treated like special guests and enjoyed every minute. Thank you.
- Tim (9/5): Superb - The hotel building was really interesting and has been beautifully restored. It was nice to be able to look around the whole house. Pat was great host and really helpful. She went to lots of trouble to make the stay special - homemade cakes and cookies, hot and cold drinks available at all times, recommendations etc.
- Dave (10/5): Exceptional -
- Douglas (9/5): Superb -
- Jinny (10/5): loved it! - exquisite!

- Laura (10/5): In the heart of a quiet town you will find a beautiful retreat with a fabulous host. - Pat the owner was very nice. Breakfast was very tasty every morning. Setting was peaceful and quiet. I needed that. The room decor was gorgeous with antiques. Bed was comfortable. Liked sitting on the porch listening to birds. Loved it all.
- Honigsman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pam (7/5): Overall besides steps & tv everything was good - I didn’t have breakfast there, but did take a cup of coffee with after I checked out and it was good. The only two things that I will speak of is:
* the television in room did not work very good or at all. (library room)
* other was looking for a ramp to go up and down front porch. With my handicap it was very hard with steps. The steps on the side I used but they were scary to use.
Thank you
- Daniel (7/5): Good -
- Tanya (9/5): Superb - Wonderful host! If you have trouble with stairs, book early and request a downstairs room. I did fine with our upstairs room, but did take my time going up and down! It’s a great place!
- Eric (8/5): Exellent - Super breakfast’ the pan quakes!
- Ray (10/5): Exceptional -
- Duncan (8/5): Very good -
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chaley (8/5): Lovely architectural details and a great host who made a perfect simple breakfast. - Beautiful home - glad it was saved. Only one issue. the stool to get into the lovely high bed had centered legs. late at night when I lifted the second foot the stool flipped and caused a huge bruise on my inner leg. I forgot to mention it but it might be a good idea to put that elsewhere.
- Heath (10/5): I would like to spend more time exploring the area and 1872 Denham Inn will be my base of operations - This home was absolutely beautiful, both inside and out. The owner manages the property and was very friendly and courteous. It is also easily and quickly accessible off of the interstate in a beautiful little town.
