Guest Reviews
- John (6/5): Clean and Nice.. - The room was super. Clean as a button! Location is less than ideal. Noisy, loud, surrounded by businesses.. crammed into a parking lot Asian-style! Parking attendant outside blowing his whistle all night. If you can sleep deeply amidst the chaos, go for it! I could not. AC was in poor operating condition.
- Sidney (10/5): - Unbelievably great rooms. Location not bad also. Far away from the chaos of Walking Street. (Unless that’s your thing). Close to fast food options and a big two-stores cafe bakery with a 711 that you can really go and a Korean restaurant. But not immediately around so needs maybe 6-7 minutes of walking
- Melanie (10/5): - Close to the airport. The room was large, clean and hotel is in a quiet area. Staff were very friendly and we arranged an airport transfer back to the airport with them which made things very easy.
- Stephen (6/5): - Nice large room, very clean. Convenient for fast food dining. Did not use their in house dining as cigarette smoke kills me and also there was sort of a mildew scent as well. But overall it was a good general stay for a couple of nights only.
- Clifford (10/5): - Great staff, room cleanliness was great and timely. Great selection of whiskeys.
- Nathaniel (10/5): - Was a great stay close enough to the airport, great staff and quiet.
- Nathaniel (10/5): - Close to airport, clean quiet and affordable
- Thomas (10/5): - We were here for an extended layover, and The Kingsley was perfect. Clean room, new tv, excellent shower, and close to the bank and lots of food options. Also an extensive collection of whiskey. The price was very fair as well. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place.
- JEE HOON (8/5): - 좋은가격 좋은위치 적당한 서비스
- Raj (10/5): - I had a long layover in Clark, thisnllace suited my needs perfectly. The hotel sent a car when I arrived (for a small surcharge). The hotel checkin is combined with their restaurant and bar, a well managed space. The room was great, large clean, and nicely equiped. The staff were amazing at helping arrange a return ride to airport (10-15 minutes away. All in all, a wonderful experience.
- Arnold (6/5): New Year's Eve weekender! - This is an old hotel, and my condition is no comfort. I walk with a cane; thus, I am exhausted upon reaching my room. Not recommended with PWD visitors. Gastropub hotel should have a better or more extensive menu. I ordered a Crispy Pata as my favorite pulutan. Very disappointing, not crispy at all and they should remove it from their menu.
- Samantha (8/5): - Friendly staff and clean amenities, good central location for my meetings and events I had to visit!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - 리셉션이 따로 없고 1층 펍에서 수속을 함. 처음에 찾지 못해 당황. 시설은 생각 대비 좋았음. 드라이어가 없어서 불편했음.
- Micah (6/5): - Over all, it was okay though I encountered problems with the shower, bidet, and one of the lights was fluctuating as I dim them. Besides these, it was okay.
- Sang Hyun (10/5): 프리미엄 스위트 - 편함한 침대, 넓은 공간, 깨끗한 화장실, 넓은 주방, 맛있는 조식, 수영장, 헬스장 등등
모든면에서 만족스럽습니다. 강력 추천
- Daniel (8/5): - Nice
- Ronald (8/5): - Large clean room, unique place, nice dining room/bar with live music.
- Melvin (6/5): - Had a leak in the bathroom and all they did was put a bucket under it. Trying to get downtown was limited and restrictive. They were very unsympathetic to my handicap where I could not walk long distances.
- JINKI (10/5): - American style nice hotel
- Adam (10/5): - Beautiful hotel with a gorgeous room. Plenty of accommodations and spectacular service. The restaurant and bar selection of food and beverages was exquisite and went above any expectations.
- Marc Niccolo (8/5): - There is no elevator and it will require strength and physical dexterity to move luggages to 2nd or 3rd floor.
The door locks is so old and can easily picked - safety and security is a definite issue of concern.
The staff are all nice and accommodating which is the saving grace of this Hotel.
- Martin (10/5): Highly recommended in every way - Staff, facilities, comfort all excellent in every way. Very good value for money.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean room and friendly staff - The room was very spacious! Staff was quite nice too! Clean and nice place to stay!
- Jimmy (10/5): - First impression is not overwhelming. Who wants a hotel room that is not carpeted, but then after meeting the friendly and helpful staff, I felt at home right away, especially Joel the swimming pool caretaker. The breakfast buffet is like those of hongkong hotels, (you can take your breakfast al fresco too) I ended up extending my staycation for an additional night. after I checked out they messaged me at home to remind me that I left my pouch bag with my passports, credit cards and cash in the lobby at which in all honestly I thought confidently was with me the whole time. I will book again in this hotel no doubt. Thanks
- P7820AWmartinp (10/5): Great food abd location - Good food and great location.
Nice spacious rooms and bathrooms. Location is near food and coffee places.
Nice central location. With free parking. Will definitely come back.
Food choices are a bit limited but they are all good.
Place could use a pool
- WILLIAM (10/5): Perfect! - Very good place to spend 10 days quarantine - very efficient and friendly staff - the rooms are large and clean - recommend this hotel to anyone!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice and caring staff. Spacious and clean room.
- Ryan (10/5): Excellent Airport Hotel - Stayed here whilst waiting for my pre-flight Covid-19 PCR test (taken at Medical City).
Staff could not be more helpful and a very good selection of meals, all very tasty.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Hard to find - Wrong pin on Google maps. Had to walk for minutes and asked a lot of people before we got to their place.
- sfokid (4/5): Queen size beds ONLY - The hotel is quite tricky to find but the best way to locate it is that it’s in Clark Center. Surrounding it are fast food chains such as Burger King, Chow King, Jollibee. Oh and there is Starbucks. In the same area are office buildings. There is also a Ministop nearby.
The hotel is not like your typical hotel at all. There is no front desk. I was checked in behind the bar!! So the front desk or reception area is inside the restaurant which also is a bar with bottles all around. There’s a pool table free for use of guests. Didn’t get to try the food though as we opted to eat elsewhere.
The room is spacious, so is the bathroom. The balcony is quite useless because it’s so near the other balconies and there is no view to speak of. What you see is the commercial building at the back.
The room is equipped with all basic amenities, they have an iron board and safe inside the closet. Hair dryer is available but you have to ask for it from the reception (quite a hassle). The cable TV has a lot of options for channels for different tastes. A massage can be arranged inside the room it’s quite reasonable about $12 for an hour.
Despite all these, I am giving this hotel a relatively low rating as it does not have any option at all for bed types (they have only queen size beds), no other amenities like gym or pool, and no lift. If you can survive without these, then by all means check it out. I just wished I knew about the limitations because I would not have stayed here had I known.
- YONG TAK (10/5):
- TylerNicholson81 (10/5): Aspire visit to Clark office - First time in Clark to meet my team at the Swak BPO. What an amazing experience. And Kinsley's definitely was a big part of it. While staying at Kingsleys, it felt like a home. Gina and her team were amazing and were ready help her us where we needed to go, offered exceptional recommendation and created a very nice environment to enjoy. The breakfast and lunch were outstanding and it was very nice to grab a beer and play some pool after a long day. She had the perfect place to take us to for a foot massage ,which was the best in have ever had. Definitely recommend Kingsleys. I feel I can walk in right now and feel at home. I am looking forward to returning and doing a little more karaoke on the stage too!
- georgekU7164NG (10/5): Top notch place to stay! - Stayed at Kingsley's on a business trip this last December. The place is awesome! The rooms are big and very clean! The area near the hotel is great and safe. There is a Starbucks a rocks throw away if you want to grab a mocha and a bagel. You can also hit the pub downstairs for a great American breakfast. Lunch and dinner are also great. The chicken sandwich is fantastic. You need a ride somewhere? The hotel shuttle will take you where you need to go. Feel like Karaoke? Ask mama Gina to hook you up. She is the hotel manager and is an excellent host. Oh and don't forget to ask Kingsley to stream your favorite NFL or NBA game on one of the many TVs in the bar. If you want a safe, clean place to stay, check out Kingsley's. They will make you feel at home and take good care of you. Also, as a bonus a couple blocks down is the Nuat Thai Foot and Body Massage spa. For $12 U.S. you get a crazy good, 90 minute professional Swedish massage and foot massage. One of the many great tips you get from the staff at Kingsley.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great hotel. Nice rooms. Restaurant a little pricey. Good to get the breakfast add with the room. Staff was excellent. Location is great. We, my wife and i will stay here again.
- CHANG HO (8/5): 가성비 좋은 호텔 - 저렴하고 가성비 좋은 호텔.. 생각보다 방이 넓음.. 시설은 기대하지 말 것
- Dave (10/5): - Clean hotel property and very nice staff. Hotel restaurant food and service was very good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The rooms were big! Did not expect them to be that large.
- aluap007 (10/5): Comfortable. Clean. Convenient. - Comfortable
The room was spacious. I like the colors and the balcony. The design was modern yet homey. The air conditioning was cool. Curtain windows were thick enough to block the sun out. The bed was firm and provided enough support. Didnt seem used up. TV came with cable channels. Wifi was pretty fast. The working table allowed me to work comfortably. I was looking for a working lampshade for the table but its okay. They had an in room fridge and a safe which worked for me. There was complimentary coffee and tea that came with a heater for the DIY beverages.
Clean
I liked that the place not only looks clean but smelled clean as well. The white sheets were still pretty white. And everyday when I ask to make up the room, the place smelled nice when I walk in. Kudos to the housekeeping. Only thing i didnt like was the soap and shampoo. Liquid soap smells like joy dishwashing soap and shampoo smells like a fabric conditioner. So better bring your own if you're picky. Oh and some of the white towels already had stains on them and looked pretty old so they might need to look on that. But all in all, i'd still give 5stars for cleanliness which for me is a major criteria.
Convenient
Check in was a breeze. All they asked for was my ID and a thousand deposit. The cashier/hotel/resto staff were really nice and friendly.
I liked that they had a 24hour resto downstairs. One can also order roomservice but i liked eating at the resto. It gives out a different vibe with the chill music and super friendly staff. Plus multiple tv showing different sporting games. Feels much like a chill sportsbar. Theres also a billiard table which guests could play for free. I was able to play again after 10yrs of hiatus. Its really nice. They also had a good collection of whiskey and wine. I asked if they had a bartender and if they had whiskey sour. I didnt find it on the menu but i was able to order fresh lemon juice and they did have a good collection of whiskey. Maybe the bartender just didnt know how to make it. Oh well... I still liked the fresh juices they had. Tried most of the food too. I would highly recommend to stick to the bestseller and really good chicken parmigiana with pasta. Id say that is their best dish. I had high hopes for their pies considering it was an English resto so i ordered the shepherds pie, the beef pie, the seafood pie, and the peach pie... its good but not the best. But still good.
The place is conveniently located too. Fastfood chains just a few steps away. A bank right beside it. And Starbucks coffee just across.
- ECH1958 (8/5): Nice Place For Quiet Drink Great Ambiance. - I came across this place by seeing a billboard on the Corner of Clark Freezone. It said "Never Closed"
It is set just behind the normal banks and offices along side the normal BurgerKinh, Jollibee and Chow King.
You need to look for it as it is not well sign posted. It has some flags hanging outside but it is tucked away behind PBI.
Once inside nice environment clean tidy and comfortable. Unlike most sports bars that are basic and noisy.
This had pop music but it was in the background so you could hear yourself talking.
It has great selection of Drinks, mainly spirits. Had boddles of imported beers which were expensive. But if it's open 24/7 they need to pay their staff.
Staff are very accommodating.
It has a hotel also which looks very comfortable.
Good selection of food, again little expensive but ok
I will come back again.
- TravellingSandy4 (8/5): Great for A Stopover Between Flights - One of the best ways of getting to Palawan Island is via Clark but our flights meant an overnight stay in Clark. Kingsley's is close to the airport so convenient for a short overnight stay. Rooms are large, air conditioned and a bit sterile. The location is within a "hub" of fast food restaurants and coffee shops but we didn't venture too far from the Kingsley's bar and its friendly staff. Don't expect good views but if you want a bed and a shower, this is an excellent choice
- keiji (2/5): 詐欺みたい! - エクストラベッド利用可と記載があったので3人で予約しまた。
チェックイン時にエクストラベッドが必要なら追加料金が必要と言われ3500円ほど取られました。
Hotel,s.com
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great hotel and amazing gastro pub. The room was amazing for a family and really modern. The gastro pub was amazing with a wonderful billiard table and many sport TV’s. The ambience and food was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Not much around the hotel area, but it is perfect for local attractions such as Aqua Planet and Dinosaur Island - just a simple ten minute drive away. Highly recommended!
- Jaymie (10/5): Pros and Cons - This property is idealy situated around major fastfood chains which opens 24/7, a starbucks coffee house and a couple of convenience stores. It is in the heart of a busy business area of Clark and is secure. The only downside to this place is the lack of elevator, they have 3 stories with only a narror stairways, which was a big hassle when we carried our 6 large luggage and not to mention my sister is 8 months pregnant and had difficulties climbing the steps to the 2nd floor. The hotel Do Not have a swimming pool which makes it seems like it’s not a kid-friendly facility. Overall, the room is spacious, the bed is real comfortable, the bathroom/shower room is excellent, the bar area and billiards/pool table is very inviting and the nightly live entertainment from a live vocalist/guitarist was perfect. Note: they have no hotel receptionists, no busboy neither to help you with your belongings. To check in, see any of the waitress or bartender downstairs by the restaurant, and if they’re not busy, they might be able to help you take your stuffs to your room. Overall, it was a very nice stay, money well spent as far as comfort , location and service.
- Traveler64045180409 (10/5): Best food in clark - This hotel is a gem stayed 2 nights excellent service. The rooms are spacious and clean with excellent food.
Only down side of your on the 3rd floor it's a mission if you are of the older generation like the owner
The best value hotel on base for sure
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice hotel
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Awesome stay (again). My preferred hotel in the area for any visit.
- TonyL1755 (10/5): Highly recommended - Spent 2 weeks here. Great rooms, excellent staff and top notch food. As I worked nights I usually took my breakfast in the late afternoon or early evening. The staff reacted to my every need. Definitely recommended.
- Woody (8/5): - Overall pleasant stay. Talked to staff about improvements very receptive. Would stay here again without hesitation!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Awesome - Room was quite large and perfect for setting up a temporary 'home office' on the large desk. Very clean room, nice and hot shower, and really great food at the restaurant downstairs. Location is extremely convenient and near many restaurants as well. Location was perfect for me, as I was there for business working with a company just a 5 minute walk away. All the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be staying here again on my future business trips.
- Tina (10/5): Great location in Clark - I love the spacious room. Bed was comfy. Bathroom is huge. Clean white towels are a plus! Starbucks, Jolibee, Chowking & Burger King are just right at the parking lot. Very nice staff.
- BrianP2668 (10/5): A Super place with Great Service - Travelling for work is not a holiday but the owners and staff at this wonderful boutique hotel are fabulously friendly and the service is superb. It is inside the Clark Development Center and near many amenities. The rooms are clean, large and wifi is fast. My first choice every time.
- shelob (8/5): Unexpectedly Nice! - This hotel is near my workplace and had to find a place to stay overnight for an emergency.
Rooms were huge, with comfortable beds, an outdoor patio and complete with amenities
The bathroom was spacious - except the hot water did not work at first.
Reliable wifi.
Excellent service. Ok breakfast. Parking available.
Located near fast food restaurants, inside clark, near offices, near the park.
Transportation difficult - may need to take public jeepney; But I think they do have a shuttle to the airport.
What's not so good:
- No elevators, hence you have to carry your luggage up - but they do help you out
- No phones so you have to go all the way down
- Old school door keys - mine got jammed several times
- A bit pricey
- Lon (10/5): Clark stay - I was very impressed by the friendliness and level of service by the staff, they were there to make my stay the best. The room was clean and really quite spacious...I was surprised. 24 hour bar and restaurant! I would stay there again and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a very nice place to stay.
- Ian (10/5): Nice big, clean rooms. - I found the room to be very spacious and clean. I was very impressed.
- Adrian (6/5): Okay but not great. - Very difficult to find the Hotel, taxi driver stopped 4 times to ask directions. Noisy building site 10mtrs from our bedroom window. Food okay but hardly Gastro as advertised. 350 peso for an 8 minute transfer in hotel car from hotel to airport. Taxi would have been 50peso.
- WolfieChris (10/5): Great combination of clean function and rustic touches. - Stayed there on business recently, and I'll say I'm very impressed with the rooms. They are a nice combination of a large, open area with functionality and a rustic touch with the use of natural materials such as Nara Wood desks and cabinets, rattan wardrobe and fluffy white cotton duvets on the bed. Four pillows is a nice touch, as is the wood floor. Free coffee/tea and a kettle for the morning was much appreciated. All rooms also have smoke detectors and individual emergency lighting in case of power failure. Balconies are there if you wish to smoke outside. Inside the wardrobe is an ironing board and iron, and on the bedside table is a channel listing of what's available to save you channel surfing.
The GM, Gina, told me there was also a backup generator, so no need to worry about power outages. Beds are very firm for those that a real mattress and a firm bed. I like a soft bed, so that was the only minor drawback for me.
The restaurant is large and open, with nice wooden tables, comfortable chairs and couches, a pool table, some sports on the TVs over the bar, and it looks like they have live entertainment set up for night time also. The owner, Kinsley, told me they have one of the best selections of Scotches and Rye Whiskeys in the Philippines, as well as quite a few Tequilas. The spirit selection is vast. There is an adjoining conference/party room available as well. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Here's some photos of the room and food, would recommend the place to anyone, particularly business travelers.
- Cobra540 (10/5): Saturday afternoon drinks - Saturday afternoon drinks with friends, fantastic servic, good environment, great food, 2 big screen TVs, pool table and soft music playing in the background.
I can see myself spending lots of time / money here 😆😆😆😆
- dozer (10/5): Pick up at 2am - Great service, I enjoyed my stay at the Kingsley’s hotel. The staff was wonderfully gracious and I would recommend to any Travelers to the Clark Freeport area.
- LimaBean12 (10/5): Good Boutique Hotel - Stayed here on an overnight golf trip with some buddies. Room are clean, large and all have balconies. No elevators though so PWDs need not even attempt. Several 24hr fast food establishments are nearby and a Starbucks. Good bar downstairs that serves a decent breakfast. Free wifi. Located in the heart of the Clark Economic Zone. Very good value for money.
- chrishT8919WK (10/5): Very Friendly and Accommodating - This was our second stay at Kingsley's. Gina and her staff did a great job again in accommodating our needs. They were happy to customize food dishes for us. They provided transportation for us back and forth to our work activities there in Clark. Another plus is that the facility is now smoke-free. I would encourage those of you with plans to travel to Clark to consider staying at this boutique hotel.
- singajohn (10/5): Excellent Place - This really is a beautiful place to stay. It's set in a safe secure area with places to eat close by. The staff here are very friendly and helpful and really nice people. It's away from the busy Angeles but still close, only 10 minutes away by taxi. It is also very close to the big shopping mall where there are a good selection of shops and a cinema. There are a selection of golf courses close by aswel.
The rooms are very spacious and clean and the food here is very nice.
Well worth visiting.
- ramona761 (10/5): Perfect stay in Clark - Was looking for a nice place inside Clark where me and my boys could stay for 3 days. Found Kingsley... no elevator, no problem. Room is great. Location, excellent. For me, a great place to stay in even for long stays
- Steven (8/5): - It is a big room though facility in room meet basic need.
The only set back is that we have to walk up with our luggage to 3 floor. There is no lift
- julius_avenido (10/5): It was a surprise to us... - This is the typical "do not judge the book by its cover" saying. From the outside, its an apartelle like building that has no fancy lobby.but we were impressed with the rooms they provide not to mention the service is ok and its in a great location inside clark. The only down side was the linens and towels have this unusual smell. But Im trying to understand that its rainy season and I guess their drier broke. Nevertheless with its affordable rate and a very huge room, I give them 5 star rating. Goodbye to other expensive casino hotels in Clark hello Kingsley's Hotel.
- nobbyclark72 (10/5): Great Hotel - This Hotel is ideal for couples and families. There are lots of things to do in Clark and The Kingsley offers taxis to where ever you want to go too. The hotel is set with in a safe complex with lots of food restaurants and only a 10 minute drive from Angeles City.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are very spacious and clean. The food is very good in the restaurant and drinks are very reasonable. I would highly recommend this Hotel for all age groups and families. I look forward to returning there.
- 950MichaelP950 (10/5): Surprising gem in the Clark zone - Kingsley's is not so much a hotel as a 24-hour pub and restaurant within the Clark zone that also offers guest rooms on the upper floors
That said, it was exactly what I needed as
- a base to prepare for a mid-morning business meeting after traveling from Manila in the early hours; and
- having just arrived from North America, a place to sleep off the 'jet lag' before flying to Cebu that evening
Unlike all other hotel properties I called within the Clark zone, Kingsley's
- did not seek an 'early check-in' fee; and
- after confirming the ability to check in early, offered the 'day room' at a discounted rate
A quick check-in at the bar allowed time to drop bags in the room before continuing to my meeting
After the meeting, the pub lunch just before going to bed was first-rate
The room itself was just what an international traveler needs - quiet, spacious, well-appointed, good air-conditioning, having effective curtains to make the room fully dark for day sleeping, and a well-stocked 'mini-bar' with free drinking water
The wake-up call came on time, and a follow-up call to inquire when I needed transportation to the airport allowed a perfectly-timed departure for my flight
My only niggles were
- no elevator and narrow outside stairs to the upper floor room made moving 50 kg of luggage a challenge (even with assistance); and
- the inflated 'flat fee' transportation the airport (3 x 'meter' taxi - Kingsley's is hardly alone in this, however, as all Clark hotels and taxi companies (except for the yellow airport 'meter' taxis) charge the same fees
Other reviews are spot-on
My thanks to Gina and her crew
Will repeat for a stay of longer duration next time
- Audrey (10/5): If in business in Clark, this is the perfect spot! - This was the first time in the Philippines for me, and I came over as we have started to outsource some of our work. Kinglsey's in in the perfect spot as it is close to many of the outsourcing offices (walking distance) and felt safe walking in the day or night. Anything I needed assistance with, directions, taxi's, advise anything was of no trouble to the staff and they were all very knowledgeable and friendly.
The room was HUGE! It is actually bigger than my floorspace at home. The bathroom was modern and very clean, the bed was comfortable and large and the décor was pleasant also. The TV had many cable channels, in English, Mandarin and local stations also so there was always something available to have on.
Room Service was excellent, quick and very affordable - the food was brilliant and ate there most nights of my 6 night stay. My favourite was the pizza - I have had pizza in the US, Australia and even Italy (from many cities in Italy) and I have to say their margarita pizza (with chicken and mushroom as extras) was one of the best I have ever had! Which I was actually surprised about :)
Opposite the hotel is a starbucks, and a local fast food chain and also burger king is next door. My room was right next to the burger king drive thru and couldn't hear anything in my room from there - they are open 24 hours (I think!) so that was great as well! The communication from the hotel (I had to make some changes) was helpful and no problem either!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Pleasant Surprise - I was pleasantly surprised to find a huge room and bathroom, all new and clean, in that location. I had passed by there several times and never really noticed it. Extremely convenient and quiet. Amazing!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Back for more - I stayed there one night and did some business in the area. That first night I had such a good night's sleep, I decided to book another night!! It was better to get a good night's sleep before driving home the following day. Good way to relax in Clark and be a a few steps away from Starbucks, Burger King, and Jollibee.... without all the noise of casinos and bars.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good hotel - Liked it
- Christopher (10/5): Great hotel! - The hotel is very modern and extremely clean. The restaurant downstairs serves tasty food. Right outside the restaurant there is a Starbucks!! Also Burger King, Jolly Bee and Chiwking all open 24 hours. The shuttle service is very friendly.
