- Hannah (10/5): - Beach view room is worth it! Great area if you want to be in the middle of everything and it’s easily walkable down the beach to station 2. The only thing is if you’re someone who likes to sleep early, there is live music at the restaurant downstairs until 11:30pm at night but if you don’t mind that, then it’s totally worth it to stay here!! Get an ocean view room! They also packed me a to go breakfast sandwich in the morning for early check out!
- Corey (8/5): - Good placement near the beach for tourism activities and enjoying the ocean. Our room was called “maya-maya” and it had a bit of a smell coming from the CR. The water in the shower was also intermittent; may have been on a timer or a pump of some sort. Every time the shower took too long it would cut off for a minute or two. Not a deal breaker in the Philippines, but the P-trap may need to be checked in that room. Something need to be done about the smell. lol

The room was big and spacious, the breakfast was delicious and I really loved that it’s a very convenient location too. It’s right in front of the beach and you can swim anytime then head to the hotel and wash up in their outdoor shower area to clean up before heading to your room. Overall, it was a great stay, my family enjoyed it. We will most likely book this hotel again when we visit Boracay in the future.

They were wonderful to communicate with and helped us organise a transfer from the airport. Upon (early) arrival, the friendly reception staff kindly allowed us to borrow beach towels so we can make the most of the facilities until check-in. They were able to have our room ready earlier than expected so they notified us via a cheery email from Cheery. Rooms were exceptional!! Modern, clean and decorated in a minimal but luxe finish with local touches. We had the best nights sleeps during our stay, with the complementary water and coffees refreshed daily. Breakfast choices were also great, providing a good selection of both Filipino and western choices. We cannot wait to return, esp now knowing how popular this place was for PADI courses. We will be staying again for a longer time :)

You have to walk for 2 minutes walk from there to reach the hotel 4. Beachfront 5. Very accommodating and helpful staff. Always smiling. 6. Changed and upgraded our room the next day since the previous one had a ceiling leak after a heavy rainfall the night before. 7. With private balcony 8. Free breakfast 9. Strong AC and wifi reception 10. Pool is deep since they are catering scuba diving activities 11. Free beach towel 12. Beach mat is free 13. We arrived for early check in, although we could not access our room, we could leave our luggage at the reception until the proper check in time. There was mats always available for the beach, as well as beach towel. The room was also very clean, with a nice balcony with beach view. Air conditioning was also working good, it was necessary as we were there at the peak or the summer time. The restaurant is also very good with soft pop music. We also annoyed the complementary breakfast . The offer a shuttle au Device from the airport to the hotel. I highly recommend as it’s not as straightforward how to get to from the main island to Boracay as you need to take a ferry. It’s a bit expensive, 200 CAD, round trip but it’s worth it for piece of mind. I highly recommend Calypso in Boracay.

We had some trouble with the air conditioner when we first arrived and whilst the hotel fixed this promptly, it was still annoying since it was so hot and it took us 3-4 hours to have a cooled down room. Some minor compensation would have gone a long way to relieving our stress, but this sort of consideration obviously not in Calypso’s agenda.

- kawbena (2/5): Dirty old motel - Outdated, dirty, smell of mold. Mold in the shower. Wanted my money back and they decided to give me a room which was less cleaner then the other. The worst infested hotel I beein my life.

- Lisi (4/5): Not worth the $ - 1. Due to weather conditions, the port to Boracay from Caticlan was closed, which meant we could not take a boat into the island. Despite having advance notice (the port was closed the day before and that morning), the hotel did not notify us this was occurring until after check-in time on the day of, so we were left stranded in Caticlan. 2. We stayed on the 3rd (top) floor which was supposed to have ocean view but please see for yourself, it was not ocean view. 3. There was no water in the room: could not flush toilet, could not shower, brush teeth, etc. Other rooms in the hotel did have water, as did neighboring hotels, so it was not an issue caused by the storm that day as we were told. We were told we could shower in other rooms before guests checked in for the day. Absurd we did not get refund when there was NO WATER and were told hotel was at 100% occupancy. 4. Breakfast at the restaurant was a C, service was an D-. 5. Location and cleanliness was fine, but lots of other options nearby.

- Verified traveler (8/5): What you see is what you get - The room is spacious, food was good, staff were courteous some requests had to be repeatedly asked for though. AC in the room needs repair, didn't reach the temp we wanted.
- Shantell (4/5): resort right in front of the beach... - they totally forget to arrange my airport transfer... as I was travelling with baby and elderly... this coz me a lots of hassle... we have total of 4 superior rooms... there were some ants on the bed area and on the bed frame area... this can be improve... the rest okay...

Rather strict with check-out time though when in fact we waited for extended 2 hrs. before we were able to check-in since guest is still inside when we arrived. Room is nice and comfortable. No hot shower for bath but only in faucet. You feel safe in this place. Food is very good and affordable considering the serving. We liked their Pizza! Crunchy and tasty. Over-all, we had a very nice stay in this hotel.
- Lauren (10/5): Ideal diving resort, perfect location and service - Great service, friendly staff, good meals, great diving locations, and professional diving staff and set up... The hotel is right on the beach, with lounge chairs available for guests during the day, which are replaced by bean bags and little tables at night to enjoy the sunset with some drinks. I would go back tomorrow if I could. A wonderful trip, and a wonderful resort. The wifi was not reliable in the room, but very good access in the main areas.

- Esben (8/5): Boracays best dive shop! - Amazing hotel with a great dive shop. The hotel employees was very attentive and room where perfect with a nice little outdoor area. The dive crew was super professional and very knowledgeable about everything related to diving, the dive sites but also what else to do on the island.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Noisy rooms. Great diving staff. - Go there for the diving. The diving crew were fantastic. Mif and Nika were very professional and made the stay a memorable one. The room was clean and had a good view however the experience was ruined by the hectic music played in the bar which could be heard and felt in the room. Not worth staying at unless you are planning to party until the early hours of the morning and sleep during the day.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good spot ,good service - If you are going for a couple of days to boracay just stick to a beach front property no matter how much it costs. Calypso is located right next to the lively station one but surprisingly peaceful and quiet. Its beach front is well maintained, clean, quiet, property is very cosy ,very clean, good service , nice ambiance at sunset . The security staff was particularly very attentive. Good breakfast - selection from menu- plus if you are in to diving it is a well organised professional diving club. check it out , you wont be disappointed!

- Mark and Sheryl (6/5): Great Location BUT - We stayed in the Deluxe Room. The view was amazing and a great room with very friendly and welcoming staff and the food is good with a great breakfast every morning. Good location near everything but not too noisy. Arrived and checked in was given paperwork and informed straight away that we pay for anything broken or damaged and that all tea and coffee in the room is at a fee. If you need the net for anything I suggest another hotel, was told by their IT Manager they are in the process of fixing the problem which has taken 2 years so we just bought our own. We also needed to iron a few items but were informed ironing is not permitted in the rooms.

- Matt (10/5): we want to come back immediatley - We were in Boracay for a week for the 10th Boracay Dragon Boat Festival. After a fair amount of trouble getting there thanks to delayed flights etc, the Calypso & the location made it all worthwhile. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful for the entire time - including last minute requests to box up breakfast so we could make our races. Located right on the beach the views and location couldn't be better, and was very central in terms of access to all the restaurants and other activities up & down White Beach. Clean, quiet and well presented the room was perfect and by all appearances recently renovated too. Breakfasts were spot on, especially the omelettes, and the drinks & bar were well priced, generous and the cocktails were amazing. We really loved being there and would definitely stay again.
