Direkt am schönen (menschenleeren) Strand. Für uns das Beste, was uns nach unserer 3-wöchigen Rundreise passieren konnte. Wir hatten da den perfekten Abschluss. Lalani & Steffen sind herzliche Gastgeber und uns direkt an's Herz gewachsen.
Ewa (9/5): Enjoyable. - Fantastic location along a deserted beach, set in beautiful gardens. The room was extremely spacious. The staff worked very hard to ensure a smooth running of the place. It lacked a swimming pool. Hopefully one will be installed soon as the sea is very powerful by the hotel. The air con could be better.

Quiet, relaxing location, high standard rooms and good food. - The hotel is located facing very clean tropical beach and is surrounded by beautiful garden. Is conveniently located for Madu river safari with trip to Cinnamon Island and demonstration of cinnamon preparation. The hotel will book for you the sightseeing trips. The rooms a very spacious and comfortable with en suit large bathroom. Is very clean inside and out. The owners and staff made lot of effort to ensure that all our needs were met. The home cooked food was delicious. Thank you very much for looking after us. The property is slightly away from the main road, so not all taxis want to drive there, however the hotel will organise taxi if needed. No TV in the room.

Jonathan (10/5): - The location is awesome, beside a beautiful beach which is virtually private except for periodic crowds of fishermen pulling in their nets, something that added to the.charm of our stay. The staff are super friendly and accommodating, the rooms are enormous and well-equipped, the food is prepared to order and delicious, and you can't beat the price. Nothing.This was my second stay and I know I will be back again. Thank you!
Rene (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet and friendly resort run by family with spacious rooms in large garden. From the garden you walk onto the practically deserted beach. The food is also very good. If you are looking for a tranquil and comfortable stay this place is a gem.
Rupert (4/5): The owner needs to invest some money in the property to improve the facilities. - This is a lovely piece of land with frontage to a beautiful beach. My room had a comfortable terrace, with views over the garden. The land has lovely shrubs and trees. Great bird life. Service by staff was excellent. The ceiling fan above my bed was hanging by a couple of wires and spun drunkenly so I turned it off. There is no hot water in the bathroom. The food in the restaurant is more expensive and not as good as two restaurants in the town centre. No electric kettle with tea/coffee making facilities. No bottled water. No proper coffee making machine in the restaurant.

Hervorragende, realistische Einschätzung der Aktivitäten. Herzlichrn Dank. Dann schätzten wir auch die Flexibilität der Essenszeiten und das hübsche Outdoor-Resuarant mit herzlicher Unterhaltung, wenn gewünscht. Keine Mücken am Abend. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Ariane

Caroline (8/5): I felt charmed to have found the place that was like an oasis of quiet. The staff were so very caring and made you feel - The location of the property was perfect, just set back from an uncrowded beach at the edge of the non touristy town of Balapityia. I stayed in the garden bungalow which had had a recent addition of a veranda , making a perfect shady spot to chill and read. The staff made the ‘property ‘ though. All so caring . I was ill whilst there and they took me to the Doctors and then cooked food that I was able to eat and checked on me through the days - I was so well looked after. When booking the property I knew it was going to be quite basic and it was, but it was very clean. I think going forward they could do a few things to upgrade it a little bit, like some new towels and bedding without losing any of the quirky charm that the property has. Also perhaps in hotter months have another fan in the room . ( that is being picky)

Kåre (8/5): Very good - Wonderful location. Beach is simply gorgeous! Staff was very friendly and helped us along all we could think of. The room we stayed in was rather warm - however, can’t really blame the host for the local climate.
Jonathan (10/5): A private slice of Paradise - What a gem! A private, peaceful garden setting on a wide, empty beach...we avoided all the hassles of the touristy beach scene but were close enough to be able to take advantage of it when we wanted. The staff members were all fantastic, going above and beyond to make us comfortable and supply special needs. I will definitely be back! I honestly have no complaints to register. Raja Beach Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way: the accommodation was delightful (I was in the bungalow, the friends who joined me were in one of the huge a/c rooms); the food was delicious and cooked to order; the staff members were friendly and upbeat; the setting is idyllic.
Aurelie (10/5): Exceptional - A bit of a hidden gem between Galle and Colombo. Quiet hotel with a beautiful garden of mature trees next to a very wild beach. The family are very welcoming and make an excellent rice and curry. There's a very interesting boat tour they can organise for you plus a few beach restaurants further down the shoreline. Would thoroughly recommend for anyone wanting a bit of peace and relaxation.
Bjoern (4/5): nice owners but too many downsides - staff very very friendly and tried to do their best…location on the beach is nice. the food was good but too pricey. breakfast ok. the room was not very clean, stain on the bedsheets, spots and dirt… the mosquito nets absolutely disgusting, the bathroom towels were stored in a box and smelled badly!! the overall atmosphere was kinda „sad“, abandoned. nothing really close by to have an option to eat somewhere else often. could be so much nicer. a few upgrades in the garden and cleaning of the rooms/ beds and it would be a lot more inviting…. overall disappointing for the price you pay.

We had lots of room for the kids to spread out and sleep/play. The food was yummy and the owners truly cared if we were happy with our stay. We would gladly go back again!

AEK (10/5): Great stay in a lovely family run hotel - We had a great stay. A walk along the beach was pleasant, watching the crabs run all over. We had a great home cooked dinner and breakfast and enjoyed relaxing on the balcony listening to the waves crash and watching the lightning in the distance. Highly recommend a stay here!
