• Stephen (7/5): Very welcoming place. Few issues with room but overall good experience - Very welcoming staff and facilities. Clearly not a tourist destination in general. My room was lacking a few things there was no blow dryer which was provided when I asked. I later discovered the safe and the refrigerator did not work which was a drag.

• Linda (5/5): Standard hotel to stay, don't expect too much - I don't have anything about this hotel. Everything is standard. The reason I'm staying is that I need a transit before my departure to Jakarta. I have a lot of issues with this hotel. The room is old and not well maintained. There are some water leak spots on the ceiling, and the bathroom, especially the washbasin, is not very clean. There are many water spots there. The staff, especially the doorman and security, are not helpful or friendly. I don't know. He might have a private issue or family problem.

• 299hartaw (6/5): Aston expected. - As aston...very standard. As expected. But we did not get what we order. We ordered double bed and we got twins. Service is polite and good. Boy...the lobby is hot....ac is not cold enough, maybe cause Lampung is hot. Location is good. Sea view.

• Verified traveler (2/5): If you want a smelly, dirty sheets, wet toilet.. - I found this other person’s complaints on the hotel and I totally agree with everything. Once entering the room the smell is strong of “moldy” or sorts. The sheets had stains, the mirror aren’t clean, sofa had some dirt or sorts and generally doesn’t look clean. Housekeeping came said they cleaned before, I asked to change room said no spare room to change to. In the end just change the sheets and swept the floor. The new sheets had stains too. Opened the window to help air out the smell. At night came back to the smell again, found out the shower leaks water out to the toilet section, soaking the mat and slippery. Kettle looks too old and not clean, no water bottle given, there’s a water dispenser outside at the corridor and even that is not clean. Indeed everything feels like a health risk/hazard. Booked another hotel the same night and moved the next day. Hotel refused to refund, and hotels.com did not refund either. Complete waste of time and absolutely unpleasant stay. I didn’t even mind its old, but the least they could do is to maintain it clean overall. Stained sheets should be thrown away. Even the dustbin is in horrendous condition. Oh and breakfast doesn’t even refill when we went there to eat before 9am. Some pastries taste like the frozen ones, overall not impressive. Asked the waitress to clean/wipe our table before we sit, didn’t even wipe it clean. Service need training.

• CarolineS817 (8/5): Overall, Very Good - Overall, we enjoyed our two nights at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful (as we find most people in Indonesia). They were particularly helpful in making sure that we got vegetarian food by adapting meals or describing things. The bed was comfortable and the room clean (although the shower could do with a deep clean). The design of the room was quite inspired, having the light from the room illuminate the bathroom with a glass wall, making the bedroom and bathroom feel even more spacious. Breakfast was good with a large selection to suit most tastes. Our only gripe was that on the Saturday morning, a workman began scraping the walls outside our room and continued to do this untill he started wallpapering. Meanwhile, drilling and banging emwas going on directly above us. The hotel didn't appear to be anywhere near full, so we couldn't understand why we were in this room. We mentioned this to reception, bu all we got was 'sorry'. No explanation or offer of some form of compensation.
• Menno_ (7/5): Great value for money - The beds were comfortable and the price was very competitive. Breakfast was nice, but mostly if you prefer Asian breakfasts. There's a water dispenser in the hall where you can tap your drinking water in order to save the planet by not using plastic bottles. The rooms could get an update as they're a tad out of style and not extremely clean.

Starting from the reception staff who are very smiling and very friendly as well as the bellboy who is very helpful. Then the cana lounge staff is very good to treat its guests, all staff so nice and to the restaurant staff is very good for the first meeting impression of a big smile and all staff are very helpful with sincerity and all the food is delicious. Then to the room, thanks to housekeeping for decorating and preparing my room so well, clean and tidy. A good and pleasant experience to stay at aston lampung is highly recommended for vacation or other needs. So big thanks aston lampung

• Dayanan (4/5): Reasonable cost, but we expected at the least to have a clean place. - We liked the location of the property, it was quiet and comfortable with great views. It was just the right distance from the city and has good services nearby as well. Cleanliness was a huge problem, with a heavily stained bathroom, bad lighting and general lack of cleanliness. We found stains on the sheets, mirrors and housekeeping was not thorough.

The hotel atmosphere was quiet and the rooftop restaurant was a pleasant place to have dinner as the cool air from the sea was very relaxing. The room given was next to the lobby so our room was facing the lobby of the lift area. Did not have nice view from our room.

• Jason (2/5): Never stay here again - Very little ,I wouldn't go back and I stay often in Lampung Worn old looking rooms ,bathroom smelled bad and reception staff were awful.two Rates for room in booking com,one with or without breakfast ,I booked the one with breakfast which was more money ,but there was a mistake in the communication between booking.com and the hotel and it wasn't written for me to have breakfast ,but it's obvious from the payment that I paid the higher rate to include breakfast ,so obvious to see but the staff didn't care and told me to take it up with the agent,meaning booking.com,so they charged the higher rate but didn't give me breakfast ,booking .com have now refunded me the difference,but the ignorance and rudnesd of the reception staff that they can't understand there own booking rates ,was really bad ,I wouldn't go back to this hotel ,it was poor
• alfainklix (8/5): 4/5 - The hotel is not in centre of the city. But not far from everywhere. Big room , clean , and its like new room. Near the beach of Lampung. And 5 minutes from the hotel there s some restaurant. So no need to worry. Have smoking room in cafe same level with lobby
• rachputra (2/5): Far below expectation, very dirty - First thing I noticed is the hotel was very dirty. Lobby, elevator, room (bedsheets, bathroom, ceiling, sofa, all were dirty and smelly). I even had spiderwebs hanging around in my room. My tv was out of order as well. No sausage for breakfast. Far below expectation. Staff were great however, very polite.

And the breakfast's menu was just so so. no milk for breakfast. fast check in and check out.

• Sightseer737462 (10/5): My cash deposit - When I checked in, the officer ask Rp 300,000 for cash deposit. When I checked out, I forgot to ask the cash deposit. I contacted the hotel from home asking for the cash deposit. I was surprised because the hotel informed that the deposit have been returned to someone else in my team. I still have the receipt, why did the hotel give the money to someone else?

Room is not clean as we expected. The AC is not functioning well, so hot in the night. The light is too dark for me. Need improvement. I hate the see-through wall bathroom. Breakfast is good taste, but poor variety.

• 504jon (8/5): A better hotel - A hotel that is slightly better than a Budget hotel. The room I got was big and clean. Only set back is that they only supplied you with 2 bath towel, a toothbrush and a 2-in-1 shampoo & shower gel (we know it won’t work). That’s all you get as toilet accessories. The breakfast items could be improved upon can be better and ya the toaster was badly stained with chocolate (some one obviously must have toasted a slice of bread with chocolate spread on it!). Told the waiter about it but got no reactions, he just nodded and that’s the end of the whole saga.
