159micheller (4/5): NO WAY JOSÉ would I recommend or stay in that hotel. - I was responsible for a large group that came in from out of town and out of the country for my mother’s 90th birthday celebration. Although the hotel was fairly clean, the elevators were not working and there was no one to help carry luggage to the rooms. My disabled aunt had to struggle her way up to her room on the 2nd floor. On the day I was checking out, I asked the receptionist “Lily,” if I could have a late checkout at 12 pm, to which she replied rudely and dismissively “I already gave the other guests in your group late checkout, so you can’t have late checkout.” Keep in mind I was only asking to checkout at 12pm, ONE HOUR after the scheduled checkout time of 11 am and she refused to accommodate me even after I told her I was an IHG member who hosted the group. While checking out, “Lily” was her familiar unfriendly, dismissive self and continued to justify her behavior. I informed IHG of my experience but I don’t know what will become of it. Overall, what should have been a pleasant experience, turned out to be a DUD…. P.S. I believe it is important to point out the good experiences in the midst of bad ones. Felicity who checked me into the hotel was friendly and accommodating and when I called the hotel to tell them about my experience with “Lily,” Jade was also accommodating. Thank you.
Sharon (8/5): No Operating Elevator! - I booked a room w/double beds. At ck in, found out elevator out of order. My husband CAN NOT walk up the stairs. Felicity offered the king bed available on bottom floor. She said she was not able to refund the difference in bookings because room booked thru Hotels.com. Needed a room downstairs, so accepted king bed. I understand that elevator has been out over a Month!! A comment should have been posted on your booking site. I was very fortunate a room was available downstairs, even though the room I got was cheaper than the room I booked! Better communication is definitely needed between Holiday Inn and Hotels.com.

The associate on duty for check in was very nice and friendly. The only negative complaint I have, there was no one at the desk when we left the next morning 7:30am. I was not able to get my receipt. Had to call the next day to take care of it.

Both rooms I stayed in had black caulking around the tubs. And one of the floors was all sticky. Second night people were partying in the rooms and there were people running back and forth and yelling in the halls for 2 nights in a row who trashed the halls and elevators.. Beds were clean and the workers behind the desk were very friendly and I saw them be firm with the other obnoxious guests.
Jesus (4/5): Has gone down in cleanliness - Room wasn’t ready at checkin and we were ok with that but we were not ok when they came knocking 45 min before checkout trying to clean the room. The bathroom shower and sink were clogged. Found a bug in the shower. The floors were dirty and the stairwell looked like someone dumped a trash can going down the stairs from the 2nd floor. Left this morning and the wet towels left behind last night were around the pool. Not sure if staff is short or not but just looks messy. Also freezer was not working in our fridge but was brought to front desks attention to look at.

Kristine (4/5): Overnight Stay - I booked a $200 room with 2 queen beds and a pull out couch for my family of 4 adults. When we got to the hotel, we were told that we had booked a room with just a king sized bed. I pulled up my receipt from hotels.com and the front desk attendance shrugged his shoulders and said "sorry, there are no other rooms within a 2 hour radius." So, we took the room. My daughters shared the small pull out couch. We had to put the mattress on the floor because it was too small for 2 18year olds to share without falling off. There were peanuts and candies all over the mattress. The worst part is the hotel claimed to not have any blankets or pillows for the pull out couch. Luckily, my girls had a couple of blankets in the car - and my husband and I gave them our top sheet. So, they slept on a bare mattress with no pillows. I don't understand what the hotel thought when they saw a reservation for 4 adults. I am willing to bet, they gave our room to somebody else in hopes we would not show up - or if we did show up it would be late and we would just accept our fate. I guess they were correct... we just accepted our fate for the night. Hotels.com offered us a $25 refund for the mixup. I can't say that made it any better.
Verified traveler (4/5): Probably wouldn’t stay again - There was no one thing that made our stay unpleasant. It was a bunch of small things. Like the (big)hole in the wall in the shower that was covered with white duct tape. They almost had me because I didn’t notice that until the second day. No sheets on the pull out sofa etc. Then we decided to stay a third day. We had to move to a different room, which I understand, but in the new room there was mold in the shower, broken tiles on the walls in the bathroom, the tv remote was missing, and again no sheets on the pull out sofa. There were a lot of kids running around the halls and being loud. I understand that to a point as I believe there were some families that had been displaced from a recent hurricane. All and all it wasn’t the worst experience I have ever had (That was a La Quinta Inn), but it wasn’t the greatest either.

Animesh (10/5): - This Holiday Inn Express is new and clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The breakfast is as usual great, however Pancake and few other items were missing. The staff was courteous and treat you a valued customer. There was enough bedding and bathroom towels. Parking is free outside and convenient to enter the hotel. The area looked safe and the room were not too noisy. It has carpeted floor in the room which my kid liked. Overall we would love to stay this Holiday Inn location.

Yes, she was still okay if they left the card on file just in case they happens to “trash” the room. He charged it knowing she had just said she would pay cash. It didn’t go through so he automatically said you can’t stay here it didn’t work. At this point she said I wasn’t going to argue even though I just said I would pay cash at that exact moment. It was just extremely poor service and he wouldn’t even give his last name or his managers name when my mother asked. Luckily we were able to get them a room not to far but we definitely won’t book with this company ever again.

Tour475003 (2/5): Disappointed and disgusted - Should have taken other reviews a bit more serious when planning our stay, so this is a long one and I hope everyone takes the time to read it and consider staying elsewhere. Check in experience was great, very friendly and pleasant gentleman. The rest was down hill. While rooms are extremely spacious and at first glance appear to be clean, that was not the case. Upon taking our showers, shampoo and conditioner was out, found nice stiff dirty wash cloth hanging over shower curtain and another extremely stained towel folded up with clean towels. I walked down to front desk as it was late, and I asked for some new bottles of shampoo and conditioner. The woman working this overnight shift asked me if I could bring down the bottles and she would fill them up. I explained they are locked in the device on the wall, but she said well the housekeeping just refills them. I said okay and my husband used two luggage keys to open the holder up. I then went back down to lobby again and Got my refills. When time came to pump my conditioner I got a nice mixture of water and conditioner. We had to relocate to another room at 1am our first night due to roaches. We should have checked out but at 1am, and a wedding to attend the next day, that was not an option. Once the roaches scurried in the dark, I took a better look at the room and found toenail clippings, food, more bugs, and just random ick. There was mold on top of shower and something nasty splattered on the AC. I went down to the lobby for the third time now and explained the situation. I was met with "I can change your room if you want". That's it. No apology, empathy, remorse, it was basically like she was numb to the situation. I got the new room, checked top to bottom, ever crack and crevice. I then went back to our room, helped my husband pack mine, his and our 8 years olds clothes up to move from floor 2 to 3. Once we were done I took keys back down to lobby and the woman did say "I hope you have a better night." Breakfast was basically survival of the fittest. We and many other guests for that matter, had to ask each day for food to be replenished. Saturday and Sunday the pancake machine was closed. I asked if they were restocking the mix and they flat out said they keep it off on weekends due to it being so busy and it "malfunctions". I explained it worked fine Friday, but it was clear the 3 ladies behind the desk really didn't have the energy or work ethic to do their jobs. Bagels were typically frozen, cereal was empty twice, eggs were basically water and you were lucky to get both biscuits and gravy at the same time. Coffee was removed from breakfast area well before 930 and two mornings ran out and never refilled before just taking the pots away. This was a very disappointing stay. We've stayed at many brands and properties and tend to appreciate the quality for the cost at this chain. However this particular property needs major help. They should start with their staff because they really appear to take zero pride in their roles, with exception of the one person we first interacted with. The breakfast needs help. And clearly they need to do some room inspections behind the housekeeping team. As for the insect problem, I'd imagine if one room has them, the whole building is likely infested.
Lorena (6/5): - We only stayed one night, when we arrived the receptionist took great care of us. The room was "clean," but seeing that the floor had not been vacuumed, you could see garbage and hair from previous guests. When we woke up we went to the cafeteria 20 minutes before it closed and to our surprise everything was already empty. When I asked if there would be more food, the person in the kitchen with an annoying attitude told me to wait because she was going to put more. Some of the waiting guests left before more food arrived.

Amit (2/5): - This place is horrible. Elevator was not working and stairs were boiling. Staff is extremely rude and didn’t help with anything. Even though we paid extra for additional guests , no extra comforters were provided. Hot breakfast is a joke here. Pancake machine was out of order for all 3 days we stayed there. They even took the coffee pots away after 9:30 am . This is by far the worst holiday inn I stayed. They need to be ripped off their holiday inn name and changed it to some cheap motel
Abigail (8/5): - Staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast could be a little better. The elevator broke on our 2nd night there which was inconvenient but things happen which I understand. The only negative thing i have yo stay is not about the hotel but about a couple that were staying there. They put their clothes in the dryer and then did not come back to get them for hours and this made it where nobody else was able to use the dryer. Not the hotels fault at all just inconsiderate people.
April (10/5): Loved It - Should've booked here 1st. Glad I was able to change my reservation from that "other" place. Great staff, clean room, comfy bed, etc, etc, etc. Loved it

Nicole (4/5): - When we walked into our room the heater was on. The room was sticky/muggy and took a while to cool down. They had ZERO bedding in room for the pull out sofa. Went to front desk and was told they don’t have any extra and no extra pillows. She Offered only fitted sheet with flat. I had to ask if I could at least get two flat sheets so my kid could have something to cover with and stay warm. Lastly go into bathroom and shower had roach crawling around. Extremely disappointed!!!!
Judith (8/5): - The hotel is in good condition because it appears to be somewhat new. I feel the price I paid a little too much for what we got and in the area we were in. Front desk personnel was ok. I was turned off when I tried to sit at the fabric chair and had a white stain that never got cleaned out so I sat at the end of the chair as I spot rice grains and debris on the carpet and a piece of plastic (looks like from a water bottle). Vacuuming does not appear to be done after every guest. The tub’s stopper was broken and the tub filled with water because it wasn’t draining properly. Breakfast was ok. Maintenance and house keeping need a lot of work. Recommendation: There’s no towel holders in the restroom, hand towel racks and bath towel racks would be nice.
