- Lottie (5/5): We wouldn’t stay again - There was a fan in the room which saved us as it was so hot and we were able to get our laundry done. The water suddenly stopped working in the middle of the night. This was resolved the following day however it was a pain because it was so hot.
The breakfast was passable. It was eggs and bread, the eggs were rubbery. We ate it all because we didn’t have much of a choice in terms of food options as there are very limited restaurants nearby.
The bathroom wasn’t very clean, there was left over soap from the previous guest and the shelf in the shower had dirt on it.
- Michelle (8/5): Very good - Not expensive and in a good location just off the main road. Cute gardens with a parrot, dog and 2 rabbits. Shower was not great and accessing the top bunk bed was difficult
- George (3/5): A two star hotel that has stopped trying - - Location was accurate - about 1 km from Tayrona park entrance
- Tyler (10/5): Lovely, peaceful homestead stay! - Welcoming, warm hosts. Breakfast was great. And we loved the variety of animals on the property, especially Lilu the adorable poodle! Also amazing to be walking distance from Parque Tayrona, but set back enough not to hear the noise of the highway at all. These are very minor things: just be aware that the birds make noise during the night. This didn’t bother us but if it does they offer free earplugs.
Also, as is pretty standard for the region, it is a cold shower, not heated.
- Luciano (7/5): Good - Nice staff. Cheap breakfast. Very affordable and spacious. The road to get back is not lit. Our cabin had a big bed and a bunk bed. The bed was clean but the bunk bed's mattresses weren't. The bathroom was old, the water was cold and the toilet didn't work. They had a Guacamaya that was very loud. Not sure if they rescued it or kept it against its will, either way the poor creature was constantly crying.
- Arnout (9/5): Superb - Very friendly staff, it felt like a homestay, the rooms are nice we stayed 1 night in the superior and one night in the deluxe bungalow and both were cute. The garden and the hammocks are nice You need to walk past a dark road for food and the shower was cold (like most in remote areas in colombia)
- Andreea (10/5): Exceptional - Conveniently located only a 10-15 minute walk from the main entrance to the park, the pousada impresses by its nice lush garden, friendly hosts and cute animals roaming around freely, a dog, a couple of rabbits, some beautiful parrots (even spotted a coati in one of the trees). The accommodation was rustic and simple, but in our view very efficient for a short stay. The room was very clean, with a generous and comfortable bed, mosquito net and fan. Breakfast was basic but tasty, and everything around well organized. No complaints 😀
- Luis (9/5): Good place for a fair price! - Good location, very close to the El Zaino Entrance. The owner was very nice and helpful. The breakfast (not included) was very good for the price. The room was spacious. The smell of the room, since it's wood it has a funky smell. Left over soap bars from previous clients in the shower.
- Christopher (10/5): Lovely stay right by Tayrona with lovely hosts - Really loved this place right on the entrance to Tayrona national parc. The host Lucilla (and her array of friendly pets) made me feel very welcome and homely.
Great location so close to the entrance that I would've preferred to stay there and go into Tayrona each day.
- Caroline (10/5): Highly recommended - The lady who owns it is just amazing. Very patient with our basic Spanish. When we asked if there was anywhere to buy a sandwich/packed lunch she offered to make us one with fresh juice and it was delicious. The rooms were spotless and you can tell a real pride goes into them. We slightly preferred the cheaper non tree house bungalow as water pressure was better and there wasn't the slight wobble like you get with tree houses. Breakfast was amazing and the location near Zaino unbeatable. Far back from the road enough that we couldn't hear the traffic. Highly recommended. Only warm water heated by the sun but at this price point I don't think you'll ever find hot water in this part of Colombia. Plus it's so hot anyway, the cooler water was fine!
- Asaf (10/5): Exceptional - The owners were amazingly nice and accompanying.
The location is amazing just 15 min from tayrona park entrance
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Greg (10/5): Beautiful eco hotel with lovely surrounding and very friendly hosts. - We absolutely loved this place. Beautiful surroundings with lots of animals which our child loved and the hots were super friendly and very informative. Within walking distance to the entrance of Tayrona National Park and some nice restaurants nearby. I would highly recommend. Everything was perfect
- Krithika (10/5): Very nice hostel close to Parque Tayrona - Beautiful property with lots of greenery and some cute pets. We had a lovely cabin with a very comfortable bed. We only stayed for a night but we would have loved to stay longer. The couple running the hostel were very sweet and were willing to hold our luggage while we visited Parque Tayrona for a small fee. There are a few stores and restaurants near the property to load up on food for park visitors. We also enjoyed a hearty breakfast at the hostel.
- Maria (10/5): Homely, jungle fun close to everywhere you want to be! - Lucila and the welcoming, homely atmosphere. Loads of animals and beautiful flowers to enjoy! Great breakfast.
- Veronica (10/5): Would recommend! - Such a great little spot! Less than 10 minute walk from the main entrance to Tayrona so was perfect for a day trip into the park. We ended up staying 4 nights and day tripping to palomina from there. Hosts are lovely and the breakfast was delicious. Very tranquil place would definitely stay again! N/a
- Angie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hombach (8/5): Very good -
- Daphne (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was very tasty ! Señora Lucy is very kind and I loved all the animals on the property. Everything was exceptionally clean!!
- Paul (10/5): Amazing stay with the friendliest hosts. - Everything. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Clean and big room with fan kept us cool all night. Could not recommend highly enough and unbeatable at the price we paid.
- Fabian (10/5): Exceptional - The extremely friendly and helpful staff and the funny parrot.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Cozy and jungle like - Can really recommend this place!
Very cozy place and the lady (including all the animals) were really friendly :) also have us recommendation for restaurants and stuff. The parrot didn’t bother us that much, but be prepared
- Johnny (10/5): Fantastic place to rest from the busy days in Tayrona Park - The property is very clean. The provided bedsheets and towels, washrooms, room and overall the property is very clean.
The location is a short walk (about 10 minutes) to Zaino entrance, Parque Tayrona.
The included breakfast is delicious and a great way to start the day.
The staff are friendly, and very helpful.
They have bunnies, turtles, and parrots.
The location is very peaceful.
The owner, Lucila, she is a pleasure to talk to. I encourage you to talk to her, she is amazing and has a great history. She has been running this business for about 10 years. Once you leave Santa Marta, cell reception is very spotty until you are close to the location. It’s best to communicate with Lucila before leaving Santa Marta.
- Diana (10/5): - We really happy we found this place
Senora Lucila make everything easy and helpful
For sure will stay again!
- Sammy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sammy (10/5): Great location to base for a visit to Tayrona. - We stayed with Luci before and after a few days in Tayrona park. Her hospitality made it feel like a home away from home. She was really friendly and made us feel very welcome. It is located a few minutes walk from the park entrance but set slightly back from the busy main road so is really peaceful. Buses can be flagged down at the roadside heading in either direction.
She was also able to store luggage for us whilst in the park for a very small fee. Nothing.
- Mathieuttl (8/5): Very good -
- Anna (9/5): Great stay close to El Zaino entrance - Nice and clean cabañas. Me and my family loved our stay. We stayed 1 night before and 1 night after our Tayrona trip and were able to leave our luggage as we spent 1 night in the park. El Zaino entrance is about 5 minutes walk from the cabañas. Lucila was very friendly and accommodating. The garden is beautiful and we loved to meet the talking parrots Paco and Lorre.
- Laila (10/5): Just to; - What a wonderful stay. Fela like home away from home
Highly recommend
- Chris (9/5): Superb - Lovely hostess, always there to help with any questions; she brought us to entrance Calabazo (although it's close to the main entrance). Breakfast was good. Quality of the bed could be better
- Thanh (8/5): Very good - Fine location with a hammock to go to Tayrona park
- Caroline (8/5): Friendly staff and good location - Lucila the manager of the hotel is absolutely the best! She is sweet and she always finds solutions to help you with everything!
We took the deluxe room and it was fine. No high standing but the walls in concrete prevent insects from entering the room. I wouldn’t recommend taking the wooden houses, unless you have a great mosquitoes repellent.
The hotel is located 7 minutes walk to the entrance of the park.
- Jenna (9/5): Lucy was a very nice host that has a lot of friendly animals. The breakfast was very good as well. - The breakfast was very good and the location was great. The roof leaked a bit during a heavy rain, the showers were a bit cold.
- Oana-maria (9/5): Great cabin close to the entrance into Tayrona - The lady that owns the Posadas is really nice and helpful. We arrived super early in the morning and dropped our luggages so we can go into the Tayrona Park. The location is great as it is a short walk away from the entrance in Tayrona but very affordable and convenient as there are small stores around for supplies and in between the property and the entrance to the park there are a fee restaurants. I completely recommend it if you want to stay at the base of the park. We rented the Posada that had a mosquito net as well and we managed to escape some extra bites.
- John (8/5): - Nice, secluded spot that was just across the road from Tayrona National Park. There were numerous beautiful flowers and many cool animals that lived onsite including several bunnies, a couple of cats, a green parrot and a blue macaw. We enjoyed watching them as we relaxed on hammocks. Our host made us feel welcome and prepared a tasty breakfast for us each morning. This is a convenient spot to stay for those wanting to experience Tayrona.
- Candice (9/5): It willl remain one of my favorite memories during our visit to Colombia. - I liked the small details that show the amount of care that went into the planning such as the placement of cobblestones to make flowers and patterns. Lucila is also an excellent cook and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The hammocks and talking birds were fun. I was a little uncomfortable with the heat, but that is simply the geographic region and not the property. The property is in town, so you can expect some noise but Lucila has earplugs available if needed. We were not bothered by the noise and felt it was part of the charm of being in Colombia.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lucila was super attentive--the place was spotless and very close to the park. Felt like we were with family.
- Carolina (10/5): Seineken Posadas are great - Lucila’s place is beautiful.
A 50 min drive from Santa Marta that takes u to the country side. Lots of green vegetation and the weather, humid, lightly hot (for this area) and amazing.
Lucila’s property is around 500 meters of the road. A main house where she lives and the little cabins which are all cozy, clean and well equipped.
In the main area there’s dining tables where Lucila and Marleney serve a very nice traditional breakfast. Arepas, eggs and hot chocolate.
Both women are very kind and helpful. I enjoyed conversing with them and watching tv after dinner.
On of the best things about this stay is the fact that you can literally walk to the Zaino entrance if Tayrona National Park. The walk takes around 7 minutes.
To go Buritaca which is also a great place to visit, you grab a bus right on the main road and takes around 20 min to get there.
I absolutely recommend Lucila’s posadas.
She can also arrange a pick up cab from the airport. Driver Robin is very nice and helpful.
Kitty, Blacky, Lizzy, the bunnies and the parrots are also what make this place a lovely place to be.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Property was well managed and somewhat close to the park entrance. The host was overbearing, we couldn’t leave the property premises without asking for her to unlock the door, wifi was through her phone and only for 10 minutes. I felt very ‘monitored’ on average.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lucila the owner couldn’t have been nicer our room in the cabana was clean and airy with good mosquito protection. The grounds are well maintained, she has rabbits, parrots and a very cute little puppy. The Posada is in a neighborhood so you will hear the sounds of roosters and dogs early in the morning. We enjoyed our stay.
- Cynthia (10/5): - This hostel was wonderful. Based under the trees and vegetation i felt like i was in the jungle. And they had talking parrots that just added to the experience. I would advise anyone near Tairona to stay there. You will love the tranquillity.
- Verified traveler (6/5): ECO lodge is very well an ECO lodge. - The trip was meant to be relaxing, however the hotel did not have AC and therefore it was completely humid and hot which made our stay very uncomfortable. The Lodging facility manager was very rude to our friend when he would ask about Wifi or even ask for additional local information. The shower only had cold water which was good in the occasion that we were already hot in the room, the downfall to that is that it led my wife and I to getting sick since the constant change in temperature from room hot temperature to freezing cold water from the shower head. we essentially caught a cold here and don't recommend the stay.
- Elisabeth (10/5): Jungle Home - Our stay with Lucila was nothing short of fabulous. She was a welcoming and friendly host, and very patient with our limited Spanish language skills. We had an easy time finding the place (Lucila was very responsive on WhatsApp) and once we were there we felt like it was a second home. The hammocks under our bungalow were great, and we enjoyed all the wildlife (and pets) in the area. Lucila made us delicious breakfasts and recommended some fun day hikes and activities nearby in Tayrona.
- Olivia (10/5): Amazing staff - We stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights. It has great access to Tayrona. The staff were extremely accommodating and very nice. They organised a trip for us on the second day and acted as our transportation and tour guides and it ended up being a highlight of our trip to Colombia, much of which I attribute to
Lucila and Tamy. Thanks very much!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We are so glad we stayed here! Tayrona (more specifically, walking to the four beaches accessible via Cañaveral) is doable in one day, making this hotel the perfect resting spot. The accommodation within the park is subpar or super expensive, and lugging our packs for hours was not an option we wanted to take. Staying at Seineken allowed us to rest up well, eat wonderfully (the free breakfast is huge and so yummy), enjoy a whole day in Tayrona NNP, and come back to a family -like atmosphere afterwards. We highly recommend it!
- Jairo (8/5): - Staff was friendly and provided convenient tips on the area. Realize you're going to an Eco-lodge so sparse amenities and tiny rooms, al in all a nice stay
- Timothy (10/5): Ideal Location for the Tayrona Park Area! - What a lovely place to stay! Lucila and her daughter are terrific hosts, very helpful before and during our stay. Seineken is in a beautiful location, just a quick walk to Parque Tayrona! Wonderful breakfasts were included. We also had a delicious dinner at Seineken, and we were able to have our laundry done, which was great after a long trip! Very refreshing and relaxing stay. It felt like family! I highly recommend!
- Kelly (8/5): Ideal Place to Stay for Tayrona Trip - Seineken is a little slice of heaven complete with very clean rooms and a beautiful garden that you'll be happy to relax in. Lucilla, the owner and host extraordinaire, was very friendly and went out of her way to help us. Not only did she drive us to pick up dinner one night, but she also purchased out bus tickets for us so that we could spend a full day in Tayrona without worrying about the buses filling up. I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Tayrona
The Posadas is enclosed in a lush green garden filled with tropical flowers and roaming bunnies. We enjoyed laying in our hammocks at night relaxing and reading.
Our room was impeccably clean and very obvious that they take great care in their property.
