Ilona (4/5): Das Geld nicht wert... - Es war nur eine Straße vom Strand entfernt. Es war leider nicht so sauber, wie wir es uns gewünscht hätten. Die Duschen waren mit Schimmel. Momentan sind Umbauarbeiten im gange. Es war das teuerste Hotel auf unserer Reise und eins der wenigen mit booking und nicht Airbnb gebucht. Und es war eins der schlechten. Wenn man bedenkt, dass wir zum Teil für 3€ die Nacht übernachtet haben, war das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hier absolut das schlechteste.

Magdalena (7/5): Good - Hotel is ok, though needs some refreshing. The bed is comfortable and air condition works well and quiet. The biggest advantage is that you just cross the street and are on a lovely beach. Breakfast is a bit poor but still ok. Hotel stuff od nice and helpful. Overall is ok but a bit pricy though i get that you pay mostly for location.

The water pressure in the toilet wasn’t working. The bathroom is very rundown. Breakfast food was too basic. Otherwise it was an ok place but you can get a much much MUCH better deal with $90 a night in Mirissa.
Suraya (7/5): Good - The room was clean, quiet and had a sea view. Staffs were really nice and helpful. Took extra care of food during breakfast for our toddler. appreciate it. Doesn't have a lift. Not a good option for someone with knee pain or for wheechair users.

Mustafiz (4/5): Disappointing - Attitude of the staff was not at all professional. There was no welcoming or greeting from the staff. After arriving they just asked for passports. I was surprised and asked them are you truly Srilankan hotel??? Because I had been traveling from Colombo, Sigriya, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ella and never faced this kind of unpleasant experience. There was heavy showering outside and I travelled almost 200 km to reach here and I was really upset. Thereafter they just prepared the hotel bill for one night stay and asked me to pay. I was with my wife and son who is just 3 years old.

Halyna (10/5): Exceptional - Really nice hotel. Across the road is the main beach of Mirissa. Convenient location, restaurants, bars within walking distance. Very nice view from the terrace of the ocean and beautiful sunsets. Breakfasts are the same, but you will find something to choose from. Nice staff, always helped with all questions. I have stayed in different places in Mirissa and this hotel is one of the best options. no negatives

Neshan (10/5): Pleasant stay with view on the ocean - This place was insane as the room and the balcony facing the sea were really big. Nice location and close to the restaurants. I just feel that the breakfast could have been better though. Overall, nice experience, welcoming staff and we wish we did an extra night in Mirissa. They should improve the breakfast but other than that no complaints at all.

Adele (9/5): Great place in Mirissa! - Great place with a wonderful pool on the roof. The employees were also very friendly and helpfull. Views are great. Maybe some variety for breakfast options would be nice, especially staying more than a few days. Overall the food was good. Double-check the prices as VAT was written in very small letters at the end of the confirmation email, the initial offer on booking was a bit different than the price we had to pay upon the arrival.

Andrew (10/5): Experience Oceanfront Bliss at Hotel Silan Mo – Mirissa's Hidden Gem - Hotel Silan Mo is perfectly located in the heart of Mirissa, with plenty of activities and attractions nearby. The hotel is exceptionally clean, with comfortable rooms that offer the bonus of a beautiful ocean view—truly a highlight. The staff are amazing, always going above and beyond to ensure a great stay. The food is delicious, and all the services are excellent. The rooftop pool, offering an uninterrupted view, is probably one of the best in town. Tip for future guests: Please note that the hotel does not operate a lift for the rooms, and the pool is located in a separate building next door. Keep this in mind if you have mobility concerns. Despite this, it’s definitely a fantastic place to stay in Mirissa!

Low season, we were the only guest in this hotel. Clean, hot water available. The most amazing is sea view from extra large balcony. Wonderful place at Mirissa beach ⛱️. No elevator 5 storied building , Swimming pool was extremely bad, no maintenance, pool water too dirty, no chlorine I stayed 4 hotels 8 days in srilanka only this hotel charges extremely highest exchange rates others are same rate.

The pool area is on the 6th floor and the hotel does not have elevator. The pool area does not look nice. The breakfast was not very variable. No bufffet breakfast and no menu to choose.

Needs a lick of paint and shame the monkeys have now been made to leave, but I suppose I can see why. We only booked to experience the monkeys, but sadly no longer.

Yolande (6/5): Basic but clean, near beach - The swimming pool was lovely and really clean but no umbrella/towel/drinks so there was nobody there, it can be so nice otherwise. Also the balcony is large but no umbrella so the heat is crazy. The main road between the hotel and the beach is noisy but you can't really get away from that if you want a beach view, so close to beach = traffic noise, so better to stay inland I guess

Naznews (9/5): Superb - The hotel is located 50 meters from the Pacific Ocean. All rooms face the sea and have a large terrace. The hotel pool was very good. Very weak internet. You have to climb many stairs to access the rooms. Especially to reach the Babed pool, climb more than 100 steps.
Kate (9/5): Superb - We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Salin Mo! The location is second to none, being a 30 second walk from the beautiful Mirissa beach! Great location for food and drinks and also amazing sea views from the rooms. The pool on the roof was a bonus, and was lovely to swim in the evening! We saw tree fogs near the pool too! So cute :) We loved our breakfast experience with the staff being so kind and warm, making sure we had everything we needed. A great selection of continental buffet and Sri Lankan Dahl and hoppers for breakfast. The staff over all were a delight and it felt so safe and welcoming! The decor of the hotel is really lovely too, and we loved spotting the monkeys from our balcony! Some shade on the roof and some comfort on the sun loungers. :)

Pearl (3/5): Uncomfortable - A property with potential… terribly maintained. 1. Cleanliness was below acceptable. There were two baby lizards, black ants and a worm in the shower. There was mould in the shower. The staff removed the lizards from the room when requested. 2. WiFi. Didn’t work throughout the stay. 3. Air conditioning. Insufficient. Takes time to cool. 4. Lounge chair in balcony was broken. 5. No lift. It wasn’t mentioned on the website. Considering the warm weather, climbing up the stairs to insufficient cooling from the ac, left us feeling very sticky and uncomfortable.

Andra (10/5): Would definitely recommend! - The location is excellent - just across the beach and a shack with sun beds. The generous terrace ensures a lovely view of the beach and ocean. It's a v good value-for-money option, the room is clean, large, with all required facilities (apart from a fridge). As opposed to a number of other places in Sri Lanka, hot water was available 24/7. The staff is very friendly and helpful. All in all, it's a very very good choice. Breakfast is good, but not excellent as it is not varied. It has the basics- fruits, freshly made eggs (eggs station), 2 types of sweets, coffee, tea, milk, cereals.

Customer service and hospitality is very bad. The air conditioning didn’t work properly. After complaining about it the hotel personnel came thrice to fix it and still couldn’t. There was no hot water in the shower. After complaining it they couldn’t fix it. There was no blankets provided. After asking for it it took them 15-20 minutes to get it. The room experience is really sad. No matter how many times or what time you call the reception nobody answers. The hotel doesn’t have a card machine. So carry cash.

Great environment Rooms are very neat and clean. It was mindblowingly organized. The food was delicious and cleanly prepared and served. The customer minded service can be felt here. Truly this restaurant is the best in every way. Go and share your experience.

Katie (7/5): Good area, but needs a lot of work, but the staff were great. - Good location, great view. Swimming pool was not clean - I didn’t want to get in it. The “pool bar” was still being built?! Literally while I was there. There were 2 guys building the bar while I was there and, when I walked up there, I felt very uncomfortable. The area around the the pool was not clean - there was poop on the floor. The “sun beds” were wooden slated with no cushions and they didn’t give “pool” towels. Also - it says all card accepted but we could not pay by card. I had to be taken to a different hotel (5 min drive) to be able to pay. My hotel room got flooded after a rainy evening. Thankfully my suitcase was far enough back in the room that it didn’t ruin everything, but all my shoes were soaked, and one pair ruined just before we were moving onto the next stop on our tour.

The hotel staff is very attentive, ready to resolve all issues and help with everything. Excellent hospitality towards guests. Well maintained rooms, wooden furniture. Air conditioning and fan in rooms. Very good tasty breakfast. Good menu and prices for dinner. Special thanks to the restaurant staff Nimal and Keethi. Robyn (5/5): Passable - Rooms are decent. Nice balcony. Staff are friendly. Good location, 2 minute walk from Mirissa Beach. Hotel has a huge ant infestation. Worse than anywhere I’d seen in Sri Lanka. Had to move rooms due to this, the second room was a bit better, but we had to spend our own money on ant repellant and felt as though we were spending a lot of time trying to keep ants out of our room. Breakfast wasn’t the best. Bathroom had a very bad smell. Pool would have been nice if it was cleaner. Rooms need fridges. Website says you can pay on card, but we were told on checkout that they did not have a card machine. My partner had to go to four different ATM’s whilst our transfer was waiting for us. Hotel should have warned us at some point in our week long stay that their card machine was broken.

Andrew (7/5): Nice location - Hotel Silan Mo, is in a great position, just opposite the beach. The hotel does not have a lift, but if you don’t have mobility problems the stairs are manageable. Our room was spacious, with plenty of storage and a large balcony. The rooms are tired and could do with updating, but they were clean. At the time of our visit the pool wasn’t open. Breakfast is the only meal served, which was a simple buffet of fruit, toast and eggs. During our stay we met three members of staff who were doing their best. The pool wasn’t open.
