• Douglas (8/5): Happy to come back again. - Location excellent, handy to everything in town. Standard of presentation was excellent, very clean and maintained. The shower let water out and pooled on the floor. A minor detail, just soaked it up with the floor mat.
• Anja HW (9/5): Wir würden wiederkommen - Die Inhaber waren sehr hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sauber, die Betten bequem. Es war alles vorhanden, was wir für unseren Aufenthalt benötigten. Das Waschen der Wäsche war gegen eine Gebühr problemlos möglich. Obwohl es an einer größeren Straße liegt, war es nachts sehr ruhig.

Fortunately the motel had a vacancy and was able to accommodate us, so all in all check in was not very smooth. The unit was exceptionally clean and very well equipped. The motel is not particularly close to any shops or restaurants.

• Domini (9/5): - So much to love. Our studio room was very spacious. It even had two laziboy chairs. The aircon was quiet and efficient. I also loved the shower - the water fell in torrents. Appreciated the sound proofing too. Did not notice traffic noise at all.

The units are modern and very clean and the bed was comfy. The decor was nice and the owner was friendly. We had seatiing outside our unit so we could sit outside. Nothing as it ticked all our boxes.

• Shelley (10/5): Warm, Welcoming Whangarei :) - Great spot to stay in Whangarei. Very easy to find. Easy to get into town, and also easy to continue your journey North or South. The unit was super clean, very comfortable and great for our family of 5 adults. The beds were very comfy, and our host was welcoming and very lovely. Would recommend this motel to other travelers.

• Christopher (8/5): A great motel to stay in. Spacious, clean, friendly. - The room and bathroom was very clean and spacious. The man at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The beds was great. We had issues finding the channels for TV. The receptionist tried to help but it was the son (who was out) who knew how to set it. Anyway, I had to figure out how to use the TV by myself. Simple instructions would have been helpful. Also, they could provide a dish rack and sponge for the dishes. There is no dishwasher, so I don't know how they expect guests to wash and dry dishes properly.

• Jamiessa (10/5): Exceptional - We had an awesome stay at Avenue Heights Motel! We stayed in a larger studio with a double and single bed, a well-equipped kitchenette, and a modern bathroom. The room was spotless and super comfortable – truly a home away from home. A real bonus was the guest laundry, which came in very handy. The hosts are absolutely lovely – friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating. We ended up staying an extra night due to the weather, and they kindly let us keep the same room, which was much appreciated. Nothing at all - we’ll definitely be back.

The hotel is next to a busy highway but the room was very quiet The hosts were very pleasant and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and the two recliner seats wonderful. The unit was spotlessly cleaned each day. The tv had Aljazera which is a good news channel but we would have liked Sky news. Would have been good if they had a vending machine for water and or soft drinks.
