Guest Reviews
- CHRIS (10/5): - Loved it loved it loved it. Huge room and bath combo. With in walking distance of everything. If we did not struggle with water taxis this would have been a perfect trip to Venice. Motel was awesome.
- Eldon (10/5): - Fabulous suite! Coffee in the morning was the only issue!!
- Geeta (8/5): - Lovely homely feel and my teenage daughter loved playing with Minou the cat.
- Terry (10/5): - Nicole was excellent at communicating and both her and Monica were so warm and welcoming. The room, common area, and patio were spotless with beautiful furnishings and decor. Such a nice, comfortable and safe place to stay in a great walkable location. Minou, the friendly black cat was the icing on the cake. Absolutely loved my stay and will recommend to friends and anyone going to Venice.
- Bob (10/5): - Excellent place in great location. Loved the older region. And much quieter than the area by the Riolta bridge. Also staff was excellent!
- Kevin (10/5): - It was our first time in Venice and we got there at night. Not being from there, I was on edge walking through the narrow alleys that were not always well lit. Once we got to our bed and breakfast though, as soon as we opened the door, it was wonderful. The staff and the amenities were great.
- Angela (10/5): Great place to stay in Venice - Quiet, clean, and comfortable hotel. Our room was beautifully decorated and had plenty of storage room. 8 minutes walk from San Marco square and 11 min from waterbuses'. Nicole, the owner, kept in touch with us and helped up us with a lot of info of how to get around. Monica, who cleaned our room daily and served us breakfast is very nice and funny. Loved her and we loved the place! Definitely, we'll come back again!
- Tomas (10/5): - Property was very nice and rustic. Love the cat!
- Maria (10/5): - Room size for Venice was large
- Yinka (10/5): Wonderful - We had one of the rooms next to the living room area. It was spotless and very spacious with a separate private bathroom. Loads of cupboard and wardrobe space. A small fridge to keep our drinks cool. Nice quiet neighbourhood with some corner shops and small supermarkets. Google maps is a must as the narrow cobbled streets are quite similar and it’s easy to tAke a wrong turn and get lost. Nicole was always available via email for any questions and Michelle was available if there were any questions about the room.
- Frank (10/5): Review of Ca de Cinema - We appreciated that the hotel was within walking distance to the places we wanted to visit in Venice, but relatively quiet and away from the crowds.
- vicki (10/5): Feel like a star at the Ca' del Cinema - This is our second trip to this wonderful hotel. The owners are so warm, welcoming and inviting it feels like we have known them for years. The location is perfect for us in the not so crowded area of Venice where you can see more how the real people live in this amazing city. It is also a special treat to go to Murano and visit the former church (Santa Chiara) that Giuseppe (who runs the hotel with wife Francesca) owns. The whole experience of staying there feels like some sort of backstage tour of Venice that you may not get if you stay somewhere else. we love it!
- Katie (10/5): Quiet area, but close to all the main attractions - We had a wonderful end to our honeymoon in Venice, made extra special by our stay here. Francesca is a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed. We felt very well looked after. The room and public areas were elegant and spotlessly clean and the tea and coffee making facilities in reception were greatly appreciated. The hotel is out of the main tourist area, which makes it a peaceful spot, but it is in very short walking distance to all the places you're likely to want to visit and to vaporetto stops for both the Grand Canal and the islands and airport, which gives you the best of both worlds. There are some lovely and untouristy restaurants nearby - trattoria Johnny and da Alvise. I would certainly make Ca' del Cinema my first choice for a future visit.
- Calum (10/5): Great hotel outside for a visit to Venice - This is an awesome hotel I would highly recommend. Perfect for exploring Venice. Francesca was extremely helpful throughout our stay and our room was a great size!.
- Natalie (10/5): Amazing B&B! Highly recommend! 5 stars! - Extremely accommodating was Francesca and her husband Giuseppe. They made us feel right at home. The facility was extremely clean and modern/updated. They were resourceful in providing local Venice information for our trip.
Location was perfect. It's a 10 minute walk from St. Marks Square, but not in a commercial area which is great.
They provide FREE WIFI that actually works really well compared to other locations.
They provided comfy white slippers in the bedroom which is a nice touch.
- Nails (10/5): Wonderful little B&B tucked away in Venice - The proprietors were wonderful. We kept changing our arrival time but finally arrived to a warm greeting and great advice about where to go to eat, things to see, best times, etc. The advice was spot on, and as a side benefit, we went to their recommended glass shop and had a fantastic experience as well. Breakfast was great; the room was very clean and beds comfortable. Not the fanciest nor most expensive B&B but our favorite place on the entire 2 week trip. Very happy with our experience.
- Jason (10/5): - Great place. Enjoyed our stay.
- Jen (10/5): Great place to stay! - We had a lovely stay at Ca' del Cinema in Venice. Great location...far enough away from St. Mark's square that it was quiet, but we were still a 15 minute walk or so from everywhere we wanted to go. Convenient to a water bus stop that we utilized to and from the train station and on a day trip to the islands of Murano and Burano. Francesca was helpful in providing precise directions and recommending area restaurants. She also directed us towards her husband Giuseppe's glass artists' workshop on Murano which was a wonderful experience. He treated us so well while we were there and it was fascinating to see examples of what the island artists are capable as well as a demonstration. Hope to return in the future!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Experience Venice - Lovely warm welcome. Beautiful accomodation
Very clean and centrally located
- Efrain (10/5): Excellent place to try. - Was on a weeklong trip in Rome and decided to head to Venice for a night. Booked this place on the website knowing little about it but was more than satisfied. I would give it 6 starts if I could. Owners were very accommodating and even let us keep our bags there after we checked out so that we could go sightseeing and shopping. The room was very high end, so much so that it came it included a heated towel rack. Love this place. Will be coming back next time I'm on Venice.
