• suzanne (8/5): Rest and relax here when you visit the hot springs baths. - The location of the hotel is great - it's only a few minutes from the hot springs baths and nearby lots of beautiful natural spots. We liked the rocking chairs in front of the room. It's clean, economical lodging in a gorgeous part of Virginia. The bathroom is outdated, but it wasn't a big deal.

• Ernie (7/5): Great Mountain retreat for people wanting to explore the area. - The room was good for the 4 of us that stayed. Staff was very friendly during all our interactions. Kitchen in our room worked well for us during the stay and it was nice having a full size stove and refrigerator in the room.
• Charles A. (9/5): Nice motel in a beautiful setting. - This is a nice quiet motel in a beautiful setting. Our room had an attached kitchenette which was handy for heating up leftovers. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was very clean. We would highly recommend this motel. The beds were a little too hard. The back door in the kitchenette was broken on its hinges. These are small complaints really.

• Vicky (4/5): Worst kitchenette ever - The location was convenient to our thanksgiving day celebration. The kitchen and bathroom in room #16 was disgusting and unacceptable for any price. Stove had layered thick grease, dishes unwashed, not equipped as advertised. Bathroom was just disgusting. (Hair, poorly repaired holes, blow dryer was melted from overheating) Several 12” Ceiling tiles over the bed literally had 30-50 staples in each from a repair. Had no choice but to stay/pay because I had to cook. I do not recommend the kitchenette room.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Poor condition - The motel was old and run down. Unpleasant odors, especially in bathroom. No internet password available. Disappointing overall.
• Tommy (1/5): Do Yourself A Favor and Book Elsewhere - This is a motel right by the Homestead. The staff are friendly. They provide free cold water at check in. The office smelled like smoke. Not a huge deal, but I was surprised to experience that at a place with a decent rating. But the room, my god it stank. It reeked the way a nursing home smells—straight up chemicals, overwhelming. And the facility, there are probably a dozen or more rooms and plenty of vanancy, but they packed all the guests literally side by side in rooms on the far end of the property. My neighbors were not tourists. And they were not vacationers, either. There was part of a syringe on the sidewalk outside my room door (the plastic part with the measuring lines on it). Overall it was so bad that I grabbed a quick shower, changed clothes, and left for another hotel an hour away.

They have done a great job fixing up this 1950's motor court but the paint choice ( mustards tan) in the room I got was depressing. When they can afford it the walls could be repaired & repainted.

It’s been one of our favorite places to stay but, in the last couple years the room we have stayed in are getting really bad! The doors need replacing, the air conditioner didn’t work and the ceiling towels were pin up.

The beds were very comfortable and everything very clean. We had a 2 bed unit, and it came with a full kitchen! I definitely would return here and recommend it.

Though this is an older hotel, it is obvious the owners are doing their part to keep it up. The parking lot is new, the room has been repainted. The bedding and linens are clean, stain-free, and comfortable. We had a 2-bed unit, and it came with a full kitchen, though we didn't use it. I was very happy and would definitely stay here again!
• Kim (4/5): Filthy. I had to clean things before I even put my belongings down. - What did I like? Only that it wasn’t $600 to sleep for a few hours. I did message the office and they offered to move us but I was already ready for bed. To be honest, I shouldn’t have had to pay the full amount. I actually left them a list of all the things that needed deep cleaning, it was that bad. Th property itself was decent. The room looked like the cleaning lady has been off for 6 months and someone with 3 kids lived in it.

So all the pots and pans we had were dirty. The one plate was greasy and unwashed. The bed was good and the shower new.
• Grace (10/5): Our annual vacation! - I stay this motel every year when I visit the warm spring pool! It's a pet friendly motel and the staff is very nice and friendly. It would be nice to improve the motel in general, such as new paint, screen door, etc.

The motel was quiet which was nice. We could definitely recommend the motel and will stay there again if in the area. The bathroom was very small and the toilet tissue placed in an awkward position. All in all, no real complaints, though.

• Verified traveler (2/5): No idea how this is rated so high - This place was super sketchy I have no idea how it has as high marks. Bathroom was gross- hair in tub and sink. There was some sort of pest thing plugged into the outlet, a dish over the sink hole (I'm guessing to block any bugs?), no soap only shampoo packets, and huge patches of paint peeling off the wall. I was freaked out and kept the bathroom door closed. I didn't see any actual bugs but I was afraid I was going to. The heat didn't work. One of lights didn't work. There was dog hair all over the floor. I couldn't sleep well between worrying about bugs coming in from the bathroom and the bed springs feeling hard. Otherwise it seems like someone tried to gussy it up by painting things (walls, furniture) but really needs to look at the whole situation.
• Jenna (7/5): The value was great for a quick stay! - Close to attractions like The Omni Homestead (approximately an 8 minute drive). Ease of checkin and ample parking available. Great value and comfortable bed. The hot water fluctuated frequently in the first night, not sure if this was just because the weather dropped significantly but was much better the next day. The parking lot driving in, especially the incline, had many potholes and may be worth fixing for smoother entrance/exit.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay. - My husband and I stayed at the Roseloe for one night. It was our first time staying here and we enjoyed our stay very much. For the price, you get a comfortable, clean room. The bed was very comfortable and it was quiet at night. Staff was very friendly and provide free bottled water. There's an ice maker on site, as well as mini fridge and microwaves in the rooms. The convenience to get to all attractions was excellent. We will stay here again.

• Juli (10/5): - It has been a while since I stayed in a motel, and truth be told, I usually stay at the Homestead when I am in Hot Springs. It is nice, however, to have an option that is not $400 a night, especially if you are whizzing in and out of the area. This perfectly suited my needs. My room was very clean (which might be my #1 requirement), the bed was comfy, the AC worked great, it was quiet, the water pressure was on point, I had cable tv, the kitchenette was perfect (it was stocked with the essentials, had a new stove, microwave, sink, plenty of paper towels, and a great fridge/freezer combo) for me to do my dog food prep, the property has dog friendly rooms, and there is plenty of lawn to walk referenced dogs. :) It has also been a while since I have benefitted from the convenience of parking right in front of my room. I did feel safe the whole time. The manager was super friendly, helpful, and extremely available in case I needed anything. I really felt like I got great value for the extremely reasonable (and low) price of my room. Does the parking lot need re-paving? Maybe. Does the exterior need a refresh? Perhaps. Has each room been modernized to perfection by the best contractors around? No. Did I care about any of this? Definitely not because this is a motel, not the Omni, and investment dollars have been spent wisely on things that matter so travelers have a clean, comfortable, and the most cost effective, high-value option in this area. Would I recommend it? Absolutely!

• Brett (7/5): Fairly clean and close to the Homestead Resort and golf courses. - Good location. Somewhat older and out of date. Also the children of the owners or maids were constantly playing and making noise right outside window. Also couldn’t get tv on first 2 days I was there.
• Sharon (2/5): - Old, outdated which i can deal with however the room was Very dirty!!!!!!! thick dust everywhere, the floor left our feet black. If you have a room with a kitchen STAY out. NOT a queen-size bed. Good water pressure. I did love sitting outside in the rocking chairs. The housekeeper was nice, she just needs to learn how to clean. We were in room 21.
