Audrey (10/5): - The quiet and elegance. The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. There were many days when we felt like we were the only guests. The meals were delicious. Loved the pods on the cliffs and the saltwater pool. As much as we enjoyed a restful stay away from the crowds, it was really necessary to take taxis everywhere. Dinners were pricey, but worth it.

Natty (8/5): Perfect stay for peace and island vibes - Quiet, peaceful location further up from the 7 mile beach. Note that this is a cliff location, not on the beach - however it doesnt take away from the beautiful property - the photos don’t do it justice. Local Jamaican breakfast was the highlight for us. As we had a car we were able to easily get to the sister hotel on the beach. Enjoyed our time so much we ended up extending. Thank you to all the staff!! We left a few days before the hurricane and hope everyone is ok!! We will be back!!
Stephanie (8/5): - The property is stunning and the staff is some of the friendliest I’ve met. It’s super quiet so if you’re looking to relax this is definitely the place for you. The chef was outstanding some of the best food we’ve had in Jamaica. Spa services were all good. My only criticism is that the price for food is a bit high and they will charge you for every glass of ice tea or whatever non alcoholic beverages you are drinking. It made a high end stay into a super expensive stay.

Allison (10/5): - We stayed at the Cliff Hotel for 4 nights recently and really enjoyed out visit. The property is extremely unique-taking advantage of the beautiful natural landscape on the coastline to enhance the guests' use of the water and land. We saw dolphins and a ray right out front and the sunsets were spectacular. Jumping off the cliff was a real treat and the snorkelling out front was satisfying. The staff are helpful and friendly and we felt well taken care of. The property is quiet and serene, so if you want a party scene go somewhere else. The ladies at the spa are well trained and provide very good treatments. The dishes in restaurant were tasty and portions were reasonable. Yes, of course we will return. Thank you Cliff Hotel Staff!

Amazing rooms, impressive main building, lovely (multiple) swimming pools, with many more places to sunbathe than there were guests. Astonishingly comfortable (and huge) bed. Ruthless air conditioning if you want it ;) The view from the seaside bar is something that doesn't get old - endless Caribbean sea, mixture of fishing & sailing boats and lots of seabirds. There are a couple of nearby hotels with exceptional restaurants if you get bored of the one in the hotel. Not much variety in the restaurant if you're staying for a week. The meal packages are deeply confusing (e.g. there's a lot not included in the breakfast deal) and not great value vs a la carte. That's about it, everything else is lovely.

They had top notch bartenders and we recommend the swim up pool bar with Dino and LT. We already plan on coming back and bringing friends. This is the best place to stay in Negril!

Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful stay at The Cliff - Our 2nd stay at The Cliff was as expected, fantastic! This was the perfect place for the 2 of us to getaway so we could relax and enjoy our 25th anniversary. The spacious, comfortable room and more than adequate bathroom were perfect. Water pressure and temperature were excellent every day and the air conditioning units in both the bedroom and living room were ideal. The staff was always welcoming and willing to assist with any and every request. Bartender LT and dining room attendant Romona really went above and beyond for us. The New Year’s Eve party and fireworks display were such a great time. Looking forward to our 3rd visit.

Nirupama (10/5): - Great place to stay. It is a bit far from all the actions in Negril and the taxi drivers try to fleece you. They demand exorbitant amounts for even a short drive. Please be mindful of this. I would kindly request the property to introduce a shuttle facility to at least Seven Mile beach either free of charge or at a reasonable price. This would definitely enhance the customer experience of staying at the Cliff Hotel. We had a very comfortable stay. Beautiful property and lovely views. Swimming in the ocean going down the ladder off the cliff was really an invigorating experience. Thank you Kayla at the front desk. You made our life easy. You are superb! Cheers!

Brown (10/5): Best Resort in Negril - Everything was on point. From the security guard at the front (female) to the receptionist and the guy who took our bags to the room, onward. The place is clean, refreshing and so homely. The food was amazing and the restaurant staff was superb, especially Oniel. He played dominoes with us and made us feel a sense of belonging. Definitely coming back. A very elegant place to be.

Schmidt (6/5): Too expensive - The weather, the beach and the massage. I would like to point out that the cost were too hight for such a small resort. The food options were limited and from the already small menu, some items were not available. Furthermore, the food is too expensive. My wife wife and I decided to use the full meal plan (US$120 each). That does not include any soft drinks, so you pay about US$4 for each. The surprise came at the final checkout. As the daily meal plan ended up being US$300 a day and with a room price of a whooping US$522 a night that makes it to north of US$800. I have stayed in hotels in that price range but they had way more too offer.

logan (10/5): - My husband and I have traveled all over the world, and The Cliff Hotel is one of our favorite places we've ever stayed. Sitting at a lounge area on the cliffs will make you feel like you're at the edge of the earth, and you'll never want to leave. The rooms, grounds, staff, amenities, and food are all top-notch, and the peace and quiet of the setting is so restorative. We originally booked a hotel on Seven Mile Beach for our trip, and we debated whether or not to cancel that reservation and stay at The Cliff instead since we hear that the vibe on the beach is very different than on the cliffs; we kept our original reservation, and after one night there we realized we'd made a mistake and booked to spend the second half of our vacation at The Cliff Hotel. Arriving at The Cliff and ending our vacation here redeemed everything that went awry during the first half of our trip, and we are already looking at dates to return next winter. If you are wanting a peaceful, luxurious Caribbean getaway, look no further--this is heaven on earth.
