- Maria (8/5): New years eve 2024 - Overall we had a great stay we had a king size bed with a jetted tub and sliding glass door to the fenced in area behind the building (for smokers) and we got a late check out too, they had a great breakfast spread their coffee could have been hotter and one of those small coffee machines in the room would have been great I wake up before the breakfast was open plus it was new years eve night to new years morning and the one night stay was only $88 total

- Lyndsie (2/5): - If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I booked a single king bed room and was placed in a double queen bed room. The curtains were ripped in half and there were stink bugs crawling on the walls. I informed the front desk over the phone and was brushed off. I went to the front desk to speak to someone in person and was told that the only king rooms were in another building that hadn't been renovated yet. I was told by the person at the front desk that they would "leave a note" for the manager and he would comp me in the morning for the inconvenience. Two days later I am still waiting for that to happen. I called the hotel and was told that they would "leave a note" (again) for the manager to call me back.
- Kandi (4/5): Clean but deceiving - The hotel is completely different than the one in the photos. Although it’s clean it’s an old damaged and run down hotel that a new owner purchased and just painted over all the mold and water damage. Highly disappointed that Hotels doesn’t do a better job at reviewing these hotels.

- Christy (8/5): Great with no holds - Our stay is always good. The check in was ok. The clerk was very nice, but maybe new? In my online reservation note, I asked for 300 hall. He didn’t see it and tried to put us upstairs. No elevator so I showed him my request and he apologized and fixed it. No problem, but a delay. Not a big deal. Then he put a hold on my credit card. Kinda messed up my shopping ability. After he put the hold on he asked if we have stayed before. We have many times over the years. He said I should have mentioned it and they wouldn’t have needed to hold it. Maybe he should have asked before the hold. That was my only aggravation.

The front desk staff was not prepared to handle this smoothly, and our communication was difficult ... in end I was able to get tje room at the quoted rate, but it took over 45 minutes to resolve this. Also I requested a room to facilitate access/unloading my motorcycle, but was give a room on the second floor and far from parking.

The telephone had most of the buttons missing, the bed skirt was ripped. We get the accessable room with a walk in shower and a hand held shower head. Unfortunately the hand held shower head was missing so my sister was unable to shower herself. We love this hotel regardless! The beds are super comfortable, the rooms are clean! And the staff is amazing!

The pool water was overly warm however, and the advertised free breakfast was almost non-existent - no coffee either!!! We were told the food supplier did not show up that day. Luckily there was a drive-thru coffee shop a few blocks away.

- Greg (4/5): - You get what you pay for...or should anyway. 1. Reservation was messed up. Should have had a 2 day reservation. They only showed one. Staff made the reservation and kept us in the same room but neglected to reprogram our keys and the next night we were locked out.. 2. Breakfast the next morning had no orange juice.... no milk ....no eggs and.....no coffee. Hmmm....tough breakfast. 3. On our check out day I asked for a 1 hour extension to leave.....after all of the above the offer was any overtime was an extra I felt was too high. Hmmmm....after all the issues above you'd think maybe an hour extension wasn't an out of line request. But their rules rule. 4. Room was cleanish but maintenace was more than a little overdue or poorly accomplished. 5. On the second nite there was a group of guests who showed up about 2:30am and were loud enough (sounded like they had a real good time that evening), long enough (probably 10 minutes un the hallway) to wake us up. In part this was due to what I would consider thin walls in addition to the unfortunate behavior of the guests. Unlikely I would choose to use this property again.

- Sandra (6/5): Get what you pay for - A cheap hotel so didn’t expect too much honestly. But when we walked into our room the first thing I notice is mismatched toiletries. It honestly changed my feelings about cheap and ok to just cheap. It’s like they collect pieces from thrift stores or their own other hotel stays and throw them in the room. The black out curtains didn’t black out anything. Bed was ok. Took forever for hot water. The hot tub and pool were nice.
- Marilyn (4/5): We will pass next time. - We understand the facility had no impact on the electricity going out due to what we believe was an accident that occurred down the street. Power was out from about 7pm to 1am. My husband pointed out when we got into the room there were dead bugs in the bathroom floor. We are always ok with dead bugs. However, the next morning when a roach ran up the wall. That is just more than I can take! Call the exterminator again! There was someone's clothes left behind the door in the bathroom. This makes me feel the room was not cleaned very well. The room looked clean and didn't have a bad odor.

When I contacted hotels.com for help, they were not of any assistance. Overall what was supposed to be a good weekend getaway was quickly turned into a nightmare.

- Linda (6/5): You can never make a silk purse out of a sow's ear - The room towels are thin, scratchy. There is no comfortable seating chair in the room. The hotel has been under remodeling for over a year. The breakfast was poor at best, kitchen staff did not keep food fresh and on the second day there was no breakfast meet. The prices are set by Hotels.com. I paid $80 on a weekday and $170 dollars for the exact same room Friday. with no change in quality.

- Mallory (10/5): Great value, nice clean rooms, friendly staff - This is my 3rd time staying at this Hotel and each time has been a great experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The fridge was not working and they fixed it right away. Jessica was wonderful too! The price, the overall value is great. The breakfast could have some more options is all I would say for improvement. But overall we are very happy with our 4 day stay and will definitely be back.

Some upgrades are completed like floor covering throughout. Electric outlets were not functioning in all locations. Room A/C worked well, though the fan was loud. Walls are thin - next door guests could be heard. Bring some ear plugs.
- Dirk (8/5): - The property or the area surrounding it was not pristine but it served its purpose for a 12 hour overnight stay. It was in a very convenient location. Needed some repairs and simple maintenance. That said, the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Wouldn’t be my first choice for a several day stay but it met our needs for this trip.
- Danielle (4/5): - So when I got there there was a $100 fee in case anything was destroyed etc. 1st morning I go to the bathroom and the toilet almost overflowed. I called from my phone because I was like there is no phone in here. And was put on hold for 20 mins and decided to walk down while on hold. Had to stand in line for 3 people. Told them I needed a plunger so my wife when she woke up she could use the facilities. I waited for over an hour for a plunger. Finally I walked out and asked the maids. They gave me one finally. I got a knock on my door an hour later and the gentleman finally brought me one. But for real tho why did it take that long. When we checked in the woman was rude especially when I said that $100 fee should have been mentioned. I will say this I paid $400 and some odd to stay here. There are way cheaper alternatives. Shop around. The hot tub had damage and they flex sealed it to keep it functional. I will shop around next time. Was not worth the money at all. Everyone was rude and the place was ghetto as all get out. I'm not happy at all.

- Amanda (8/5): It was all I needed. - Staff was great. The room was comfortable and clean. It could definitely use up dating but I wasn't bothered by that. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was lacking. I am gluten free so I only had coffee. It was a nice home town kind of hotel and didn't leave me needing much. They cleaned my room everyday and for a mom, it's always nice when some else makes the bed. I would stay again.
- Laura (8/5): Good - It was a good stay. We’ve stayed at this hotel for the past few years and this time the staff didn’t seem as friendly. One day we asked when they were going to be able to clean our room around 3pm and the guy just said he has a list to go by and he will get to it when he can. He did get to our room but he only took the trash and the dirty towels. He did not replace the towels, did not replace toilet paper, and he did not sweep or vacuum. When we went to the front desk to get towels and toilet paper - the lady only gave us two towels and one roll of toilet paper — but we had three people staying in the room. We borrowed the broom from housekeeping so we could have a clean floor. The hotel is in the middle of a bunch of updates so this may be why they aren’t as attentive to the customers - but the customers are the main reason for having a hotel. Perhaps they need more staff.

- Nancy (4/5): - If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel, the Manistee hotel would be fine. The pool and hot tub were nice and the bed comfortable but we were quite surprised when wiping up water after a shower that the floors were filthy. The bath towel we used was completely black and it appeared it hadn’t been mopped in a long time. As stated by other patrons the hot breakfast was horrible and they would have been better off not mentioning a free breakfast. It consisted of sausages, 2 kinds of cold cereal (no milk), waffles (no syrup), bread, and bagels. Everything was rationed out and food was put out one or two at a time. Apparently they were afraid someone would take too much or take something home. Even the butter, cream cheese and coffee was out in limited supply. Right at 9:30 on the dot, what food was out was whisked away. Don’t count on this breakfast to start your day.
