We are from Canada/United States, and we’ve traveled to 50+ countries and seven continents. We are middle class, though still have high expectations when we are spending significant money on international travel. We stayed at the Best Western in Entebbe for two days after travel from Tanzania to Uganda. We were very impressed with the property. The staff were incredibly welcoming and spoke multiple languages. The place was very clean. The Wi-Fi was incredible, even outside by the pool. The workout room was clean and spacious. The hotel room was clean and had great showers with incredible hot water. The breakfast, lunches, and dinners were plentiful and tasted very good. The bartenders did a great job making affordable but fancy drinks. Breakfast was included with our room. The airport shuttle was on time, spacious, clean, and the driver was very polite. We were incredibly impressed with the general manager of the property. He was polite, professional, and always available. Furthermore, my wife wanted one of the paintings available for sale on the first floor by the upstairs bar. We had some special requests with the painting for sale, so the manager personally called the artist to come help us with our purchase. The manager handled all communications with the artist, as we need it specially packaged for purchase. Overall, the property and staff were top of the line. The property has a beautiful pool outside by the botanical garden, which sits right on Lake Victoria. We can’t recommend this property enough for travelers from all over the world. It is also advantaged by being attached to the Victoria Mall where there is another restaurant and a place to exchange money.

The highlight of my most recent stay was the personalized support and attention from the General Manager, Amos — a hands-on, accessible, and genuinely hospitable leader. My organization hosts a conference at the hotel at least once a year. The latest one was last week and Amos ensured that we received timely, seamless access to all the facilities and arrangements we need. His professionalism and warm approach is exemplary.

There is a mall with dining options and a food market connected to the hotel. The staff was excellent and the room (with a small balcony) was fine. - Storyteller59154 (10/5): Friendly and caring service - What a fabulous place to stay! It was the starting location for a 10 day safari tour through Uganda. I arrived a few days early to acclimate and then returned for a few days of local exploration before returning to the U.S. The rooms were comfortable, the staff was friendly and caring, the art work on each floor was fun and enhanced my anticipation for the journey with wildlife. I felt safe and cared for! And the pool was awesome and well maintained. The wild monkey “parade” at night was a lot of fun to see, as groups of vervet monkeys crossed the property on the way to where they nest in the evening! The onsite Jacaranda Cafe was fabulous! The food was varied and delicious. The wait staff were awesome! Farida Nguna was especially wonderful. As I was there several days, she began anticipating my wants and asked if I wanted my usual beverages. And, when the kitchen was out of ingredients for my favorite avocado and mango salad for two days in a row, she went out of her way to bring in a mango especially for me, and then had the salad made for me for lunch on the day I departed! I was very touched! I highly recommend this place as a good spot to start and finish a visit to this beautiful country!

- luc_victor_jr (10/5): Comfortable and accessible - The hotel is perfectly co-located with the Victoria Mall so you have easy unfettered access to the amenities of the mall including complementary use of the gym. There is a lot to like about the Best Western – the rooms are spacious and modern with well-appointed furniture and standard amenities (TV, kettle, fridge), a very comfortable bed and great water pressure for the shower. There is also a bar, restaurant and 24 hour business center that wholly supports ones work needs, including fast WiFi. The staff are also efficient, kind and attentive to your needs. This is definitely one place that cares for their clients.

I will look for alternatives since this hotel started to charge $10 one way airport shuttle per person while the price is still higher compared to any similar US Best Western location. Something is rotting at the core of African hotel industries.

Service was excelent, food was excelent with breakfast included, their room was very clean and comfortable with working ac, employees were friendly and helpful. They had a shuttle for pick up and drop off at the airport and they said the driver was great, he gave them history of Uganda and showed them some places to go during their trip. They did not want to leave 🫠

- baajec (8/5): Nice experience at the hotel - Its in a nice location, entebbe and its located near the airport, near lake Victoria, the entebbe zoo and botanical gardens all in a walkable distances. There is also a golf course you can enjoy even evening walks up to bugonga. The hotel itself has nice customer service care and the food especially the rice and chicken was superb. Looking forward to coming back soon and its not crowded if your not a person who likes crowded places.

These images did not reflect the current state of the room I stayed in overlooking the street. It was noisy , tired and stuffy. It took 2 hours before I managed to get the air conditioning to work. At check in I asked for a packed breakfast as it was an early start, this failed to be communicated to the restaurant staff, and as a result I received a bag of stale pastries. Happy to depart this overnight accommodation before a wonderful safari experience.

- SlowlyTravelling88 (10/5): Perfect Location, Excellent Service - I had an excellent stay at Best Western. After exploring Uganda for two weeks, it was refreshing to return to a familiar hotel. I enjoyed the working air conditioning. The room was comfortable, with a large comfy bed, good working shower and great amenities like Wi-Fi, a TV, and a balcony. Being located right next to the mall is a huge plus, as it provides easy access to getting a boda boda or to the mall itself. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, making me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. The swimming pool was clean and refreshing. Overall, I felt that the price was good for the quality of the hotel.

The manager was extremely rude and disrespectful and his attitude sucks he made me and my friends feel unwelcome and unvalued as a customer. I so how doing same to some ladies who were clients taking pictures at the entrance to the Bar hope the management will take steps to improve their customer service in the future."

The room had a sticky desk, fingerprints and a few crumbs on small chair table, and the shower floor is peeling. Toilet must be leaning a bit because one side is higher. Upon arrival, balcony door was slightly open and unlocked and the air conditioning was off so it was like a sauna in the room. Once that was fixed, all was fine! Shuttle was good and fast. Be careful if ordering food. I found a bunch of extra ingredients added to my meal that I could not eat so I had to return it. They re-did it and added different extras which was extremely annoying and tasted awful. Please stick to the ingredients listed in the menu. Some people choose certain items because of their health and allergies!

The pool area was separated from the main property but a very easy walk of only 2 minutes. It was very nice with a good sized pool plus a small gym and a steam room and dry sauna and changing areas. The property is attached to a small mall with a Carrefour and a movie theater and a number of restaurants so you really don't have to go far. It is very close to the airport and the free shuttle only takes 10 minutes or so. Overall, I would recommend this place.

- michelled4Him (2/5): 9:45PM Check In - We booked this hotel weeks in advance. We arrived at 7:30pm after traveling all day and were told that our room was not ready, to come back in an hour. We arrived back at 9:30pm and were told the room STILL WAS NOT READY. Finally at 9:45pm we were allowed to check in. We went up to our room to shower and relax only to find there were NO towels in the room. Called down to the front desk, waited 30 minutes and still no towels. We had to go down to the front desk to get them ourselves. This is the second bad experiecne we've had at this hotel. We didn't review the first time because we thought it was just an off day. But we will not be returning to this hotel.

- Roberta (8/5): Entebbe - one night - We liked this hotel - very nice rooms and fantastic pool area. The hotel is close to Victoria Mall and across the street from a crafts center. Good location. The service in the cafe was very slow and needs to be improved. This is a good choice for a stop over in Entebbe.
- sngph (8/5): Annual Work Trip - The usual hotel that i stay in for my annual work trip. I love it for the location. Just at victoria mall, you can get anything you need at the mall. The rooms, facilities and breakfast are good value for money. Still the best for the location

- georgeaU474VS (8/5): Very good experience. - The rooms are great and I love the fact that it is located on a shopping mall. In addition the CBD is a stone throw away. The only thing I did not like is the room TV channels. They have too many Indian and local TV channels that one can hardly watch. And the sport channels are very few, something that I love watching during my free time. I live for sports! I want to particularly single out a waiter at breakfast called Esther and a house keeper called Sandra who are fantastic in providing services to guests.
- KTP310 (8/5): Excellent hotel but noisy at weekends - There was lots that I loved about this hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the location is great (attached to the mall and opposite the craft centre). The food was very good, the rooms were stylish and well equipped (excellent hot shower, wifi, TV, hairdryer, balcony) and the complimentary airport transfer was much appreciated. I had chosen this hotel principally for its swimming pool which was beautiful. But I discovered that this is also used by locals at weekends. There were various soundboxes (all competing to be the loudest!), and children and groups jumping in and being very noisy. This felt like a public pool, not a hotel pool, and not a place where hotel guests can relax. I have no problem with locals using the pool, but feel that Best Western should maintain the standards displayed in the hotel. I was also unlucky to not sleep well due to a great deal of noise until after 1am from guests in the corridor/lobby, I assume from a late night in the bar.
- Maimouna (10/5): - This is a good hotel in Entebbe. It is adjacent to a mall with some restaurants and shopping options. The hotel is well maintained and has a pool and garden in the back of the property. The staff was very attentive and nice. I had a comfortable stay and would recommend this hotel.
- kimbojane78 (10/5): Great location by the mall - I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel & very happy we stayed here. The rooms were comfortable & clean with a good shower. The WiFi was extremely fast & the staff were helpful & arranged transport to the airport. You walk out the door straight into Victoria Mall. Whilst I didn't think I wanted to go to the mall it was great to get to a supermarket & to get a nice drink in the cafe. Recommend.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - This is a great hotel. They are 10 min to the airport and provide free and very nice airport transfers. It is walkable to a mall, eating, great markets, and a botanical garden. The staff is great and so accommodating. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. We stay here every time we come-which is 3 times a year. Highly recommend.
- jgichiah (10/5): Services - Excellent rooms, customer care and meals including the Ugandan delicacies of traditionally cooked mashed banana and plantain. The Wi-Fi connectivity excellent, well-equipped gym, sauna etc. This is a place you will not regrets spending a night or two. It is also within a beautiful shopping mall.
- Kerry (10/5): - I am a solo female traveler and felt very safe staying at this hotel! This was the best hotel I stayed in Uganda during my two-week trip. The service and the staff are all incredible. The amenities are great, and the restaurant serves delicious food. I loved all the options offered for breakfast every morning! Also, the hotel is in a great location. It's attached to a mall, and I walk to the main entrance daily. I enjoyed eating at the Middle Eastern attached to the mall, and the neighborhood is very safe. The room is quiet with blackout curtains, so it was nice to be able to take a nap every day! Lastly, it's great that they offer free transport to and from the airport! I will stay at this hotel again when I return to Uganda next summer.

- Coastal12878873948 (4/5): Terrible terrible employees! - The ambience is good. The employees are rude. The waitresses are loud at the counter. The managers are not helpful. I work from here once a week and am officially disappointed. Its really sad to see such a beautiful space not managed well. The sizing up for guests needs to stop

- Cheryl (10/5): - This was one of the BEST Best Westerns I have ever stayed in. The signage is a bit confusing and you have to walk accross a parking lot to get to the pool area, but those minor details did not interrupt a very pleasant stay. The staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. The room was nice and included a balcony. The pool area was quite lovely. This was a great place to stay before heading to the airport.

- Katie (10/5): - Only spent a short night there, but the staff was friendly and helpful in the booking process and airport pickup. Tim, the driver, picked me up from the airport and helped with my bags all the way to my hotel room. He was pleasant which was nice after the long travel. The included breakfast buffet was ok, and the AC in the room struggled to cool the room. But overall I was satisfied and would recommend Best Western in Entebbe.

- Carena (10/5): - Since opening this hotel has been a must stay each year when I visit Uganda. I love the conscientious staff, clean facilities and comfortable rooms. Victoria Mall is a great place for dinner, coffee, access to the supermarket and the MTN Service Center. Also their shuttle service to the airport tops any that I have used before.
- Keita (10/5): So much goodness here. - I've been coming here since 2017. Best place to crash after a long trip from elsewhere. Best shower. Best bed, best AC, best breakfast. So much goodness here.

- Mark (8/5): - I have tried a few hotels in Entebbe but have found the BWP convenient and comfortable for those early morning arrivals and departures from Entebbe. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and are nice and quiet. The single banked corridors means there is not too much traffic on each floor - ask for a room away from the elevator. The breakfast is decent, and the staff are friendly and proactive (at least when I was there). They are also accommodating.
- Ellen (10/5): - The staff was very welcoming - especially after a long trip! And, I had accidently double-booked our room and they were very gracious in correcting my error.
