- David (10/5): - Plenty of parking. Extremely easy check-in. Very clean and comfortable. Short walk from the village with places to eat and drink. Quite at night and would stop again.
- Jonathan (10/5): Undiscovered diamond - I find this property almost perfect for myself. Exceptionally clean, friendly and wonderfully positioned. Just off the A19, the exterior belies just how comfortable Kingswood is, the staff are unbelievably friendly and so easy to deal with and you get treated as a person ! Also, Just on the edge of Norton which allows all possible eating options. Don’t overlook this gem !!

- Colin (10/5): Good level B&B - All in very good. Self check in was easy.
I was only in single room but it was spacious enough and warm enough. Breakfast was nice but fresh fruit would have been good.
Only thing was a continual banging noise when trying to sleep and in the morning. Not sure if it was coming from heating.
- Neil (10/5): - Nice clean warm room.
- KATARINA (10/5): Amazing! - Amazing accommodation. I just need to have a sleepover for my morning meeting in the area.
Very nice room - spacious. Beautiful and clean bathroom.
Comfortable bed.
For the price really nice room.
- Victoria Louise (10/5): - We were at a party in Norton and this hotel was ideal. Central location, clean, comfortable and friendly with plenty of parking.
- Shaun (10/5): - Super clean and tidy accommodation, plenty of parking, personal shower and toilet. Easy to get to middlesborough from in a taxi. Spot on
- Wayne (8/5): Northern Hospitality! - The room was small however it was perfect for my needs! The interior of the building was very very clean! Bed was very comfortable! Tea, coffee was provided! Bathroom looked like it was brand new! I would give my stay 9 out of 10. If u are in or near Stockton , Kingswood is a perfect place to stay! Big thumbs up!
- Philip (8/5): Good pleasant room - A newly refurbished property with good shower and wash facilities and a comfy room in general. THe room was a little compact for a double bed, otherwise very comfortable. Breakfast was very enjoyable
- Dean (8/5): On a budget for a night ! - Nice little room, clean n tidy , single bed , was at front of property but road noise was minimal, would stay again !
- Loveness (8/5): - Everything
- Loveness (10/5): - Everything
- Roger (8/5): Excellent value stay - Excellent place to stay and good value for money but a little out of town however we'll served by public transport
- Paul (8/5): Good little place - Nice property very clean and tidy , looked like the rooms have recently been renovated to a high standard
Not a complaint but it was very warm in the room a little uncomfortable to sleep , however bed very comfortable and room nice place to be
Paid for breakfast wich was very nice but our orders for what we wanted on full English breakfast and both did come wrong , again not the end of the world and we didnt want to bother the staff as they were busy just think if your going to bother taking the time to ask exactly what you want you should then get it right
All in all a great price for a good nights stay with the village 2 min walk away with good pubs and shops
- Bradley (10/5): - This place was fantastic. Really tastefully decorated and in great condition. The whole place was spotless. Even on top of the wardrobe! We will DEFINITELY stay again.
- Lynne (10/5): great stay - beautiful, stylish, comfortable & clean bnb.Great breakfast choice and cooked to perfection. Karen and her staff were lovely.would visit again if in the area.
- Emma-jayne (10/5): - Lovely room, well presented. Bit warm but opened the window. Didn’t seem clear about breakfast and hadn’t realised we had to order the night before/ comfy beds and lovely little packs in the room. Could have done with more milk in but overall very nice.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I stayed here to visit family in the local area. Good communication prior to my arrival with information about check. I traveled from Portsmouth and arrived late. It was nice and easy to check in out of hours with the information provided. I was please to find a clean, quite and comfortable room on my arrival. I was in the room on the ground floor next to the dinning area and I didn't hear a thing in my room, so managed to sleep in.
Thank you very much for a lovely short stay.
- Vincent (10/5): - Excellent communication from Karen, although there was no reception on due to Covid the information in the room on arrival was appreciated, will not hesitate to book again.
- Christopher (8/5): - Visiting family and business, very nice hotel/bedsit. Very clean and comfortable, staff very pleasant and helpful and to be honest got a great deal, prices can't be faulted
- David (8/5): - Ideal stop over before Great North Run, clean, tidy, comfortable bed and good selection buffet breakfast.
Will return next year
Thanks
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely litle B&B. Had a single bed ensuite. Very clean, and the instructions for early arrival were vlear and accurate. Very nice little continental breakfast. Would highly recommend.
- andrew (10/5): - GOOD STUFF VERY FRIENDLY, BUT DO NOT ORDER THE KEBAB FROM DOWN THE ROAD IS RUBBISH,WE HAD A VERY GOOD STAY
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very clean, plenty of parking, lovely lounge area for continental breakfast with plenty of choice. Friendly staff.
The property is situated on a very busy road, so I'd recommend asking for a room to the rear of the property especially if you're working nights, or wanting a lay in. I was woken up from 5.30am both mornings with the traffic noise that was then constant through the day.
- John (10/5): - Convenient to visit family
- Gillian (10/5): - Friendly welcoming staff, clean comfortable room
. Good location/
- Ian (10/5): Spotless!! - Spotless and v Comfortable
Extremely good VFM
- Verified traveler (8/5): A 9 night stay - Bfest was only available from 8-9. Only when d girls come in a bit earlier that you can have your continental bfest if need to head out early.
No staff or owner stay on site. Room was not made up on a Sunday and I had no one to approach for fresh towels.
Other than that, staff was very friendly and helpful when they’re around.
- alan (6/5): - Ver poor entry into hotel as hight steps and NO hand rail for assistance
- Graham (10/5): Excellent place to stay - I have only good things to say about this hotel but note that breakfast does not start until 8am so you might miss it if you are staying on business
- Daniel Chee Chung (8/5): Overall a good stay. - Kingswood is a nice B&B. But the breakfast could have more variety for people who stay for many days. I stayed for 6 nights and had the same breakfast. Having an option for hot breakfast (with eggs and sausages) at extra charge could help.
- Brian (10/5): nice b&b we will return more often - Last minute choice for this b&b normally stay at a well known chain hotel on the river but really pleased we got a room here we stayed in The Sedgefield room which is in the basement under the stairs very quiet and cool on a hot night (may need a heater in the winter) lovely clean and really nice decor and a comfy bed, breakfast was continental and tea/coffee was hot, location to Norton village with is cafes and pubs all in walking distance, overall a lovely stay we will be back regularly now we’ve tried it
- Allan (6/5): - Room booked was not available due to a leak
Room given had a skylight with no blinds to close at night
We had to walk from accommodation two houses down road to have breakfast
Will not be using again
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice place to stay - Nice guest house. Ideal for short stays. Isn’t manned by staff as stated but will respond to calls and messages promptly.
- Andy (2/5): This is NOT a Hotel - This is not a Hotel, as a low-cost/value end B&B, I would have given a better rating.
The bad:
Not always manned, you collect keys between 4-6pm
Not all rooms have ensuite facilities, and some rooms are very very small and feel claustrophobic.
Can be very noisy, really hard to sleep
No easy access or lift.
The good:
Staff are very friendly and help
Rooms are clean
Prices are reasonable
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good for one night - Very clean b and b and convenient for our purpose. However the room we were put in was below the kitchen and we were woken sometime between 6am and 7am when the staff arrived to cook breakfast and from then on there was no hope of going back to sleep due to the footfall from above, may be an idea for staff to wear slippers. The breakfast was ok, but rather spoilt by the very hard bacon ( I think it had probably been kept warm for sometime in the oven). Otherwise was fine for a one night stay. Wifi was a bit iffy
- diane (10/5): - good value
- David (8/5): Would recommend - Couldn't fault the guest house as it was bright and cheerful, emaculately clean and very comfortable.
- mirajkar (8/5): - Clean room and bathroom .Slightly slow wifi.
- nicki (8/5): Close to all amenities.Good location - Good B&b excellent location for us
Located between Norton & Stockton
- Verified traveler (6/5): Overall nice place - Nice room, very clean, on a busy road so traffic on a morning and evening driving by which I'm not used to. The room was too bright for sleeping in, the bed ok wasn't the most comfortable and the pillows too hard.
- Anne (10/5): Stylish and welcoming - Stylish rooms - thoughtful layout (e.g. 3 chairs and ample coat/towel hooks); substantial breakfast; friendly welcome.
- Fred (10/5): Very helpful Staff - Very good service, friendly, helpful Staff. Large comfortable room, well appointed
