Guest Reviews
- BABCOCK (4/5): -
- Vicky (5/5): - We have stayed here 5 or 6 times over the past few years. I like the location. There were 3 people sitting behind the counter and not one of them could check us in. They did not look professional either. They had to call someone else to check us in. The room was not in good condition. The bath tub faucet was loose, the towel hook was barely attached, there were crumbs on the carpet. We had one empty toilet paper roll abd a roll with hardly any toilet paper on it, on the toilet paper holder. I was not impressed and if it wouldn't have been so late in the evening, I would have left. I did not call the front desk either, because there was a man down drinking alcohol at the front desk and I didn't feel comfortable. I also asked for sheets for the hide away bed, and they gave me twin size sheets and they didn't fit on the mattress.

- Linda (10/5): -
- Carole (2/5): Only game in town, still not worth it - It was a convenient location for us It was dirty, worn and breakfast was a joke
- Floyd (5/5): Good except for bathtub - Everything but the bathroom Bathtub had a visible hole in it on the outside but still a hole
- Bradley (8/5): I would stay there again - The cereal was just fine.
The location was quiet, didn't hear much road traffic! The coffee could have been a little stronger
- Robin (2/5): Would not recommend - Location Rooms were not comfortable, sheers were literally shredded in the windows. Had to walk and get clean towels even after asking for my room to be cleaned on the 3rd day. Staff were not friendly at all
- Shaynah (6/5): -
- Stephanie (8/5): -

- Jennifer (1/5): Don't waste a good nights sleep and your hard earned money staying here. - I have family in town so it was convenient to where I needed to be. The walls were very thin. I was on the first floor and it sounded like there were elephants above me. The shower has horrible water pressure. The paint is peeling off the walls. The door to go in and out slams shut so that didn't help with my sleep at all (I was in the room right next to it). The toilet kept not filling with water when I would flush so I would have to open the back and pull up the mechanism so it could fill up again. I paid way more than I should have for this room and I am really ticked off. If you are thinking about staying here...don't. I recommend staying 20 minutes up the road in Olathe (the Holiday Inn is a nice hotel with a great location).
- kara (1/5): Don’t bother unless you don’t mind the smell of weed - Well it was clean, but smelled of weed and I’m allergic to it,took me till next evening to get over being exposed to it! Smelled of weed , front desk lady told me there’s nothing that she could do about it because it was the manager’s kids and so they get by with it!
- Genny (6/5): Convenient to our venue and stores! - Location was great and the front staff was helpful. Room was clean, breakfast wasn’t huge but adequate. Overall it was fine. A few cosmetic repairs were needed in our room but didn’t interfere with our stay.
- Megan (1/5): Very disappointed - Very run down and dirty. Visible stains on the carpet Needs renovated desperately and a deep clean
- elizabeth (8/5): - Convenient Dated, waffle machine out
- Becky (8/5): -
- Angel (10/5): This place is amazing! - 1. The hotel isn't too large to worry about being overly crowded or noisy
2. The staff are always friendly and on top of any issues that arise
3. The location is surrounded by places to eat, gas stations, and a Walmart if you need to pick up something you forgot The only issue I had was of no fault of the hotel. Although marijuana is now legal to purchase and use, individuals still need to respect those around them that are highly allergic to the stuff.

- Mark (5/5): - Breakfast was OK More hot food options in breakfast. Coffee was never hot
- Kit (8/5): Nice stay. - Clean quiet place to 😉 enjoy Bath tub. Shower drain was slow. Shower Head needs to be replaced
- James (9/5): We came to the conclusion that we would diffinately stay there again. - Friendly staff, facility was clean breakfast was simple but adequate very good location. AC in the room wasnt working properly however my bad for not notifying the hotel staff.
- Ronald (6/5): -
- Bethy (9/5): I will probably stay here again when visiting family near by. - Breakfast-to-go was great, a variety of choices, just what I needed. The staff was very friendly, and extremely helpful.
- Christina (10/5): -
- Trevor (10/5): -
- Jade (3/5): Not worth 120 dollars a night - The location was good and the staff were really nice. The room was covered in stains and the place was dated.
The breakfast was unpleasant and limited.
They had a spa listed but they dont even have one.
- Linda (3/5): Won’t go back. - It was convenient It was very run down. It was like people who were living there. They were just hanging out like it was their house. The breakfast was super limited. They ran out of food early. There were multiple dogs barking I. Multiple rooms. The staff was pleasant. It wA just a strange atmosphere.
- Flosi (8/5): We were there basically for sleeping only. The breakfast was palatable - King bed No usb ports for charging phones
- Ashley (10/5): The hotel needs remodeling again. - They’re nice but the wall are bad peelings and wallpaper under mold in the bathroom needs replace it.
- kenzie (6/5): -
- Sarah (8/5): - It was very clean, dog friendly, friendly staff. Was a great value and location.
- Baldwin (10/5): -
- Bambi (7/5): Perfect for what I needed - It is an older facility but it is very well maintained and clean. I have no complaints
- Marianne (5/5): It was fine but I don’t think I would stay here again. - The hotel was located near the event. The hotel staff was friendly & helpful. The hotel had a noticeable smell.
- McDaniel (10/5): - Very clean hi
- Sean (3/5): Wouldn't stay again probably - Location was good. Beds uncomfortable, pillows flat provided no support. Rude staff, wall paper peeling.
- Leighton (10/5): -
- Brett (7/5): -
- Danny (10/5): -
- Sherry (8/5): - Breakfast! Beds! So uncomfortable
- Cain (8/5): Great room for a great price! - The location is perfect for our music festival & I love the jacuzzi. Would be nice if they could include some nondairy milks & gluten free options at breakfast
- Madison (10/5): -
- Hitomi (3/5): Overall, the stay was uncomfortable and not worth the price given the poor condition of the room. - The location is fabulous. The staff was friendly enough. The room we stayed in was in terrible condition and didn’t feel very clean. There was a large, rectangular crack in the wall—like a chunk of it was about to fall in—and another section near the window was completely missing. The shower had barely a dribble of water pressure, and the towel hanger was hanging on by a thread. The desk chair was missing one of its arms, and there were visible stains on the couch. For what we paid, the condition of the room was extremely disappointing. It’s unfortunate, especially since there aren’t many lodging options in the area. If you’re able to drive 30 minutes, I’d recommend looking for accommodations in Gardner or Olathe instead.

- Lisa (9/5): Dated but MOST IMPORTANTLY, CLEAN - The rooms were nice, dated, but clean. The beds leave a lot to be desired. They were spring mattresses and not very comfortable but we were satisfied with price and convenience!
- Leslie (8/5): -
- Stuart (9/5): Superb -
- Bonnie (4/5): Disappointing -
- Joshua (8/5): Very good -
- Debbie (9/5): Large room great staff - The lobby smells great. The staff was so nice. Everything was very clean. The room was huge. The TV was very small especially for room size.
- Gulley (8/5): Very good -
- Gulley (8/5): Very good -
- Lynn (8/5): Great Stay - The property was close to a lot of food places and easy to get to. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room we had was very good size and the air-conditioning worked well. They also served a hot breakfast. My only complaint would be the pillows. They were quite hard, but not a dealbreaker for us. Bring your own pillows if that is going to be a problem for you. The bed was comfortable. We will definitely be staying here again for our next family reunion.
- Laura (5/5): Bare minimum acceptable hotel out of its prime days - Large living room, queen bed comfortable Cracks in walls, peeling wallpaper, dirt on stairwell, furniture falling apart, very uncomfortable pull out couch, carpet felt like it had been cleaned one too many times with a sticky chemical feel, very unfriendly staff for the first 2 days, landscaping needed help with rose bushes ate up by bugs, grass mowed without trimming.
- Kimmike (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karolyn (7/5): Good -
- Kruger (4/5): Ok as a last resort - Quiet and spacious Very cheap bed and the bathtub was broken. The TV in the living room didn't work.
- Jessica (10/5): Loved it - I loved the beautiful room with the amazing jet spa! We parked on the wrong side and used the stairs. My man didn't like the 3 floor climb.
- Paul (9/5): Great room, Great price - Breakfast was skimpy. Went elsewhere. Wi-Fi was really slow. I was told it was being worked on.Sliw wi- Slow wi-fi
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Angela (9/5): Superb -
- Mack (10/5): Drama free -
- Candice (8/5): Very good -
- Stuart (8/5): Very good - Cleanliness, friendly staff, rubber duck in shower.
- Monae (10/5): We love the Paola Inn! You made our stay even more special than it already was! Thank you so much!! - Your staff was amazing especially the overnight front clerk. My mom and I came to Paola from Colorado to see my daughter for prom. She was extremely helpful and kind! We will be staying at Paola Inn everyone we come to Kansas! We liked everything!
- Dawnelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sara (8/5): Very good -
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (4/5): Will avoid in future if other options are available. - Location + Price Door lock in room would not engage, high bathtub needs a grab bar for safe exit, bathtub had chips off enamel and broken fixture, animal fur on floor, breakfast was pretty skimpy, waffle machine is broken. More emphasis on firearms policy than keeping hotel properly maintained.
- Jan (8/5): Nice facility and location.just NOT a fan of Pet Friendly! I usually avoid such establishments - Great location. We have family living nearby and appreciate the convenience Pet friendly. We were awakened by barking dogs. Owners didn’t seem to have control
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional - Great breakfast, nice clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, couldn't ask for more!
- Gonzalez (10/5): Exceptional -
- Douglas (9/5): Superb -
- Rex (10/5): Great value and nice for the price. - I usually don't leave reviews, but this hotel in Paola was great for the price. I would stay at a hotel like this anywhere if it were available. We were mostly just sleeping there but it was nice, not fancy but nice. Breakfast was right in line for a small town. not full blow breakfast set up but lots of options, mainly pre-package items but fresh fruit and biscuits and gravy.
Will definitely stay there again next year when in town.
- Teresa (7/5): Good - The staff is so helpful
- Terry (10/5): But overall stay was grwat snd we would do it again - It was clean and well maintained Just needed better pillows or more comfortable pillows
- Marnie (10/5): Everything went well with our stay - Breakfast was great. Had several choices
- Michael (7/5): Clean, good size room, friendly staff and good breakfast! -
- Alissa (8/5): Visiting friends, the only hotel in the area. - Convenient N/A
- Joshua (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was a good experience. Bullet hole in my door. At least the was wood filler in the hole
- Sam (8/5): Very good - Roominess, proximity to town, breakfast Bed was a bit too firm
- Marilyn (8/5): Will stay again when in Paola KS - Very convenient
- Gayl (10/5): Exceptional - Staff was wonderful. Nothing
- Dana (8/5): Very good -
- Sandy (6/5): Pleasant - Location
Parking Breakfast
No handicap rooms available
Tv was smaller than my computer monitor
Everything seemed old and outdated.
Smelled funny, like they were trying to cover up a gross smell with potpouri
The mattress had pee stains on one side
One light didn't work, even tho 2 bulbs
- Gerald (10/5): Exceptional -
- Franklin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gerald (10/5): Exceptional -
- Grace (7/5): Good -
- Destiny (7/5): Great as the only option we had - The convenience and location. Plus, the free breakfast was nice It smelled like people smoked in it for years, and the beds and pillows were so uncomfortable
- John (4/5): On need of a good deal of maintenance and upgrade. - Brkft was good except coffee was COLD!
Location was fine. Sink bowl was cracked. Shower/tub spout was broken. Wall paper coming off in shower. Mattress was HORIBLE!
- Diane (9/5): Superb - All good. We are satisfied except TV. Too small TV. Hard to read the closed captioning.
- Debbie (6/5): The staff was pleasant, the room was nice enough, but had an odor, the building was clean. - The room with two queen beds was spacious. The room stunk. Not sure where the odor was coming from. Maybe the carpet cleaner or plug in air freshener or the air conditioner.
The breakfast was disappointing. They did have a waffle maker, which was nice. The fresh fruit was not that fresh.
- Christopher (9/5): Awesome place to go over and over!! - Love the location and the staff, great place to go Had to get a second night free, being moved to the other jaccuzi tub room because our tub was broken, but they were very apologetic and kind
