- Joanna (6/5): - Nice view. Few lights that worked in the room and AC didn’t seem to work. Beds comfy. Staff friendly. Restaurant is excellent. Price point for the stay was a bit high.
- Chenghao (4/5): - The location is super convenient and the restaurant was one of the best in this neighborhood, really. Unfortunately, the room was not in a good condition. The bathroom drain is clogged. There were five flies in the room which I had no idea how they got in.

The bathroom and bedroom were a bit "tired" looking, and walls were very thin. We had very loud neighbours on either side of our room. I suspect they had been drinking but it sounded like they were banging into the walls at 11pm at night!

Par contre bémol en ce qui concerne le petit déjeuner, la salade de fruits était chaude, le plat en lui même était décevant, léger par rapport aux restaurants brunch que l’on trouve partout ailleurs. Et la serveuse a fait une réflexion sur le tips. Que je sache, le pourboire reste à la discrétion et au bon vouloir du client. En l’occurrence ici ma mère a fait une erreur sur l’appareil à cartes (elle n’est pas du pays) et n’avait pas l’habitude. La serveuse lui a fait remarquer le montant choisi, et par la suite j’ai voulu rectifier en paiement comptant et la serveuse a tenu à vérifier que le montant était bien minimum 15 %.. c’était malpoli et déplacé.

- Paul (10/5): - This was a nice place to stay for a couple of nights. Bed was comfortable. Room was a bit hot, but we opened the one, slender window and turned on a floor fan to cool the room. Not sure the thermostat even worked. The outdoor staircase didn't feel safe. The outlets in our room, which were very few, weren't done well. They even came out of the wall. I think a licensed electrician should take a look at least in the room we stayed i.

Chambre reçu pas du tout comme montré. Je en réserverai plus jamais je crois avec expédia, on m'a donné une chambre terrible.

Vu que les chiens ne sont pas autorisés dans le restaurant de l’hôtel, ni sur la terrasse, on a pris le repas pour emporter sur la table de pique-nique juste à côté. Chaudement recommandé!

L'hôtel eux me disent que je dois voir avec Hôtel.com car ils ne peuvent rien faire. Pour ce qui est du séjour, j'ai été assez déçu du Gaspésiana. Pour le prix c'est assez ordinaire. Les jupettes de lit toutes croches donnent un air assez délabré à la chambre. Le fait que je n'ai pas été facturé au bon prix n'améliore pas la satisfaction que j'ai de cet hôtel. Les hôteliers devraient pouvoir au moins nous donner un numéro pour rejoindre Hôtels.com. À la réception on m'a dit que oui ils avaient un numéro pour les rejoindre mais ne le donnaient pas aux clients et pourtant c'est grâce à eux si on réserve leurs chambres!!!

- Kathy (10/5): - The town had only paid parking which was not convenient as the site is at the edge of town so a bit of a walk to some restaurants. There parking lot was small and overfull we ended up the first night having to park in the entrance way which was a concern.

When we arrived we noticed our room hadn't been cleaned yet, so they immediately offered to upgrade us to a better room with a seafront view, and the whole exchange process was handled very quickly. The room itself was the "Flavie" room, very charming decor and beautiful picture windows. Loved our stay 🙂 !

Hotel is next to the water but it was rainy day, so we didn’t have chance to walk around the hotel much. Cleaning can be improved. There were left over food in the fridge and beer can and crab shells next to the terrace window…
- benoit (10/5): Beau motel de bord de mer - Nous sommes allés au Gaspésiana parce que nos parents y ont séjourné pendant 60 ans. Nous le faisions pour leur faire plaisir. Cela dit, nous avons été agréablement surpris par la qualité de la table, et le personnel est extrêmement serviable. La direction devrait toutefois informer les visiteurs que la digue a été construite pour protéger le village, car la vue sur l’eau n’est plus vraiment ce qu’elle était. Nous avons tout de même beaucoup apprécié notre séjour et serions restés une nuit de plus si une chambre avait été disponible pour le deuxième soir. C’est un motel en bord de mer un peu vieillot, mais qui conserve tout le charme d’un hébergement maritime.

- Anthony (2/5): - Anglophones appear to not be welcome at Le Gaspésiana... My wife and I have stayed at this hotel before, and have overlooked the rudeness of the staff as we enjoyed the location, view, and rooms. Our most recent visit was terrible, however. The view of the water is now obstructed by necessary alterations made by the municipality to prevent erosion. Fair enough - but the room that we were allotted on our most recent stay, was a nightmare. The room has not been renovated for decades, was extremely dirty, and an overall depressing place to spend a night. The most upsetting part of this experience, however, was the rudeness of the staff. We received a call in the evening as we were driving to the hotel (approx 7:30), asking what time we were arriving. The caller initially only spoke to me in french, but eventually conceded and spoke in sufficient english. I informed the caller that we were about half an hour away. She stated there would be no staff on site when we arrived, and that I would be emailed directions on how to access our room pass. Those directions arrived - solely in french. Thankfully, we were able to make sense of the text thanks to Google translate -- but the entire experience was an unpleasant reminder of the underlying linguistic tensions that still exist in Quebec. For such a large and "prestigious" hotel, however, not being able to provide reasonable service in both official Canadian languages, is a huge misstep. Last time we stay at Le Gaspésiana.

- Dany (2/5): Aucun service - Nous sommes arrivés a 20h55 alors que la réception fermait à 21h. Les portes étaient barrées et plus personne a l’intérieur. On nous a envoyé un code par courriel pour débarrer un casier a l’extérieur qui devait contenir la clé de la chambre, mais le casiers etait vide. Nous avons dû faire un appel et d’abord, on ne me croyait pas que la clé n’était pas là… Finalement, à force de discuter quelqu’un nous a offert de venir nous ouvrir mais nous a informé qu’elle etait a 20 minutes de route… Aucune excuses autre qu’un courriel nous informant que l’hôtel a tout fait pour résoudre le problème… Aucune offre de dédommagement quelconque. 2 enfants à bord qui avait faim et le souper que nous étions arrêtés chercher etait rendu froid…

Doors from bathroom and main room touching. Just not good. However food in restaurant was extremely good. We were celebrating a weekend away had two breakfasts and dinner. Stayed two nights. Great staff. Possibly other rooms better wd got the last room. Better to go in summer as it was super cold in the room as the wind was very strong and make the room very chilly. Very good staff

- Joseph (10/5): - I was initially disappointed at my reservation, as i had thought i was booking a site closer to Rimouski (my bad). I ended up in a sweet suite overlooking the beach for an incredible price. It was a wonderful stay after a long day of driving, ferry, etc. I almost booked another night but the road beckoned.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Ça fait la job, sans plus. - Nous avions la chambre economique (104), juste à coté de la cuisine, là où sont sortis les cuisiniers vers 22 h, en criant à leurs collègues à multiples reprises… c’était comme si ils criant à coté de nos têtes. La chambre est vraiment petite, mais c’était annoncé. Nous avons payé 23 $ pour amener notre chien, j’imagine que c’était simplement les frais supplémentaires pour le menage, puisqu’il n’y avait aucune commodité de plus (bols à chien par exemple). Nous avions les notres, alors c’était pas un probleme, mais j’avise pour ceux qui peuvent croire que les installations sont adaptées lorsque vous mentionnez apporter votre animal. Ce n’est pas le cas. Autrement, le bruit des vagues, la vue, l’emplacement étaient parfaits.
